You know something that really annoys me from the Maquis conflict in Star Trek is that the Cardassians from both the Federation side and the Maquis side are assumed to be a monolith. Granted, Star Trek as a whole has this problem with nearly all the races in its universe and it's not exactly new criticism. But the real reason while I could not support the Maquis at any moment is because they were quick to demonize civilians that by all means were in the same situation they were.

The faint chirping of crickets could be heard as another day at Beecher's Hope drew to a close. Most of them live on the property, but those that don't visit so much that they might as well be.

Everyone's crammed into the main house tonight. Javier is playing a gentle melody on his guitar. Next to him, Kieran is building up the courage to ask Javier to teach him how to play, eyes darting between his nimble fingers and serene face. Mary-Beth, Lenny, and Jack are discussing the books they've read recently, the elder two of the trio helping Jack write his first short story. Closer to the corner of the room, Sadie is telling Charles and Arthur how her latest bounty nearly ended with her being catapulted into a river. Amelia - Abigail's spitting image - sits in her grandpa Hosea's lap, babbling logical nonsense the way only a 3 year old could, and he nods along as if she's telling him the world's darkest secrets. Tilly and Karen swap parenting tips as they sew, and Sean, sitting on the floor, is "helping" by adding a drop of blood to every lopsided stitch he makes.

In the kitchen, Molly, Pearson, and Abigail are arguing loud enough to shake the roof as Bessie and Jenny watch on placidly, poker game forgotten, only willing to step in should things come to blows. Jenny flagrantly fans herself with the cards Bessie slipped her. They've yet to notice. Uncle's been passed out for a few hours now, and Grimshaw is beginning to attempt to herd everyone to bed for an early morning none of them are rushing to meet.

And John? He's happier than he thinks he's ever been, hiding his big goofy grin behind his hat, chest fit to burst with all the love in his heart.

...and then he wakes up alone, in an empty house, in a different country. The only noises are the faint creaks of the house settling, the slight shuffle of blankets, and his own breathing. For a brief, selfish moment, he wishes he hadn't.

P is so Frankenstein’s monster coded. Something something created to fulfill a singular purpose only to learn, grow, and react much differently than his creator intended. A bit of horror elements with ‘stealing’ a part of someone else’s body just to create their life (Carlos Ergo). Horrific relationship with their creator/father figure. Being considered a masterpiece until their use runs dry.

Idk what this is. Is this even anything? I absolutely subscribe to the Tin Man theory that floats around when it comes to P, but this idea latched onto my brain bad😔

I'm not the first person to express this sentiment but every time I see a queer person in public I'm low-key sending them brainwaves like, hi you're not the only one :D but I don't know how I manage to have the most basic ass outfits every time. I could be out there fagging it up like I usually do but for some reason! For some reason! The day I *could* be perceived is not that day.

Hello all!

This is not related to my writing at all so feel free to skip over it but as someone with far more followers than I should have, I feel like I have a responsibility.

I will not be supporting the Lose My Breath song with Charlie Puth.

I feel that he is a disgusting human being and I cannot give him any sort of revenue or positive attention, so I will not be interacting with any sort of promo for this collab including MVs, dance challenges, and intros.

I want to believe that this collab was put into motion by JYPE/Div1 and I want to believe that if the kids knew about Charlie Puth’s politics they wouldn’t support or work with him, but frankly I don’t know, and I hope that by showing JYPE that we will not support rape apologists or zionists, that they will not make their artists collab with anyone like that in the future.
