the downside of writing fantasy is you can’t be fucked to think of fantasy names so you just use placeholder names and then you end up with France being a canonical place because you’re too emotionally attached to the names by this point and you can’t change them.

want to desperately add leopard complex to Jamal’s fantasy world but they don’t have leopards so he’s about to acquire some Jaguar complex horses 🥴

the liberal agenda really got me in that i have one (1) colorblind character (4% of the us population), ~8 left handed characters (10% of the us population), and like 12 transgender characters (0.5% of the us population allegedly). and maybe 4 hetero characters if i squint (90% of the us population). this is the future liberals want‼️

margo would make for a dogshit movie or other visual media (excluding opera) but jamal:themovie would make for a pretty funny romcom type flick but like with some blood and not very funny. in the same way that truman show is a comedy.

in all seriousness i wrote a lot this year!

i wrote all 32k of Jamal: the Movie in just november alone without really striving for that! and jan-march i started eniki's story all from scratch and wrote 25k words in a new world with a new cast :3 (CANT BELIEVE THAT WAS THIS YEAR)

and i polished up margo ch. 1-10 to a point that it can be shared with normal people! and i can't even track how much margo writing i do anymore. i think i wrote some part 3 this year? but i also did SO much editing and polishing on margo and co. so so much. so many threads pulled tight especially in pt 1 (which i havent touched since i wrote it in like 2021).

I think this has been one of my most productive years. aside from the one summer where I wrote like all of margo part 3 and 4 draft but I think that was still less than eniki+Jamal combined.

fave character created was vendrea. tied with jamal i suppose. second runner up is lamb from eniki's world. most intriguing character is kil. most fun ive had writing was jamal getting punched in that one scene.

most validating thing i was told this year is my adult friend read margo and eniki and said they could tell i wrote both because despite being different vibes they had a distinct writing style. (me??? style????? writing?????? whoag). and emily when they said my narrators are always very introspective and interesting to read (THATS EXACTLY THE GOAL!!!)

every time I read a ‘queer’ fantasy novel that doesn’t have a single transgender character in it I get one step closer to making mpreg canon in margoverse by making Jamal and Aeda canonically t4t. and not just once but TWICE as they have 2 kids.

I’m so anti outdoor cat that I don’t think margoverse has a single cat in it. I literally forgot to add the cats. My love of native songbirds is just that powerful. no cats on this entire continent.

- jamal can’t stop buying beautiful racehorses that are so beautiful but so slow

- desta getting into more and more heated arguments in the Wikipedia recent edits section on an article for some inconsequential finch until she gets doxxed

- som steals margo’s credit card and gets scared when he accidentally buys $900 of Minecraft skins

- kverlith spends his 5th continuous season playing uninterrupted snake on his motorola razr in the background
