Sunflowers. In the human world, it represents joy and happiness. A flower associated with the sun.

Bright.

Lively.

Shining.

It was a flower that she always adored. He remembered how her eyes sparkled as she gently caressed its petals with her thumb when he brought her one for the first time.

"You remembered that sunflowers are my favorite? It's lovely. Thank you, Luci!"

How can he forget? It was something that made her smile. And he can never forget the things that make his favorite human smile.

The sun never shines in the Devildom. It has always been like that. But when she smiled, it was like he was seeing the sunrise for the first time. Beautiful.

He vowed to himself that he would do anything to protect that smile of hers.

And that promise came to mind when he saw sunflowers displayed in front of a flower shop.

He was out in the human world for a business trip and was walking back to his hotel when he passed by the flower shop where the sunflowers were displayed. And before he knew it, he was already inside the flower shop talking to the florist.

"Hello. How can I help you today?"

"A bouquet of sunflowers, please."

"Right away, sir." The florist went inside to arrange the bouquet.

A few moments later, they returned with the bouquet in hand.

With a friendly smile, they handed the sunflower bouquet to him. "I'm sure your wife will love them, sir."

Wife. The two of them aren't married yet, but the prospect of her being called his wife doesn't sound so bad.

"She's not my wife... yet."

The florist's eyes widened. "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you were already married."

"It's alright. They're lovely. Thank you."

He left the shop satisfied with what he bought, and the only thing that's left is to give it to her.

"Lucifer! You're back!"

She greeted him with her usual cheery voice, a hug, and a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm back. The others?"

"Mammon and Asmo are out, Satan, Belphie, and Levi are in their rooms, and Beel won't be back until 7 due to fangol practice."

He smiled. He took the bouquet he was hiding and gave it to her.

"Oh, Luci, they're beautiful! But... why? Is there a special occasion I'm forgetting, somehow?"

He frowned at her perplexed look. "Do I need a reason to surprise you?"

"W-well, no... I was just caught off-guard. I'm not used to receiving gifts for no reason."

He chuckled before placing a kiss on her head. "Well, you better get used to it, my dear."

Sunflowers. They represent joy and happiness. And Lucifer had found his sunflower, shining brightly under the Devildom's endless night sky.

Name: Margarette Camellia Sanchez

Birthday: December 24

Age: 20 (at the start of the game), 21 (after S1, entirety of S2, and the first half of S3), 22 (second half of S3, and entirety of S4), 25 (in Nightbringer)

Nationality: Filipino

Height: 165 cm

She is my Obey Me MC and is the most-utilized OC out of all of my OCs.

Personality:

She has a calm and composed personality, even in a stressful situation. This is due to her work environment as a pastry chef. But she also has a hidden mischievous side that often shows when she joins the Anti-Lucifer League with their antics, much to Lucifer's dismay.

She's perceptive of other people, especially when it comes to their emotions, but can be oblivious when it comes to herself. This obliviousness also applies when someone is showing romantic interest in her.

Similar to Levi, she also gets worked up whenever her interests are the topic of the conversation. She can and will talk your ear off when she gets the chance.

Introverted by nature, she cherishes her "me time" very much. She can attend social gatherings, but need some time to herself after a while to recharge.

Character lore tidbits:

Her nicknames are: Callie, Gremlin (affectionately by Lucifer), and Peanut (her favorite food are peanuts and she used to eat half a kilogram of it when she was younger)

She likes reading and is a certified hopeless romantic.

Her main literary media are light novels and webcomics (Levi definitely approves of her choices)

She is a HUGE history, mythology, and astronomy geek!

Aside from cockroaches, she also hates the smell of garlic.

She hates it when several people asks for her help at the same time. She says it drains her energy too quickly.

She is the middle child in a family of five.

Her older sister is a police officer and has taught her how to handle a gun (Camellia never used one even though she knew how to use a gun).

Her uncle from her father's side of the family runs a martial arts studio. He taught her judo, taekwondo, boxing, and arnis. Her favorite is arnis.

Her maternal grandmother is a known albularyo (healer) in their hometown. It is implied that the maternal side of Camellia's family are Lilith's descendants.

She can see otherworldly entities (they're usually harmless so she just ignores them)

Her hobbies are: baking, reading, and drawing.

She is a pastry chef, and she owns and runs a patisserie and café called Sweet Tooth's Haven with her classmate and bestfriend Momo Koizumi.

She's a very patient person, but rivals Lucifer and Satan when mad. (Mammon and Levi witnessed it first-hand when they got her sketchpad wet during their scuffle)

She's usually behaved but she also has a reputation for being a petty menace (the reason she's called "Gremlin" by Lucifer)

In the Timeskip AU that is still stuck in my drafts, she had twins: a boy and a girl. (One of them was summoned to Twisted Wonderland when they were 17)

She is a supportive and doting mother to her twins. She is also quite protective over them, especially when they were kids.

Q: What kind of relationship does she have with the boys?

Lucifer

They are dating!! When she first arrived at the Devildom and met him for the first time, he had piqued her interest. That interest soon developed into a small crush, then it turned into love (she needed Asmo's help to realize it though).

He was giving her the cold shoulder though, so she thought it was hopeless even if she confessed.

When she did confess before her departure at the end of S1, she was really shocked when he accepted and reciprocated her feelings. As it turns out, Lucifer thought she was interested in someone else, that's why he kept giving her the cold shoulder.

Even though they're already in an official relationship for a few years, she can't help but act like a middle schooler with a crush whenever Lucifer's around. He finds it very amusing.

Fun fact: they haven't done the deed™ yet as per Camellia's request until she was 26 (and they were already married at that time)

"What do you think of Lucifer?"

Camellia: He's amazing. He may not seem like it but he is a very caring person that treasures his family above all else. He's also very supportive, and understanding and respectful of my decisions. I'm so lucky to have him! ^^

Mammon

Her best friend and partner in crime. They are a chaos-incarnate when combined, much to Lucifer's dismay.

They are very protective with each other. Out of all the brothers (except Lucifer), the two of them have the strongest bond with each other.

"What do you think of Mammon?"

Camellia: Being his best friend is probably one of the best things that has happened to me. I can confidently say that his presence has changed my life positively. He is precious to me and that would never change. I do wish he'd stop getting in trouble every chance he gets. *sigh*

Leviathan

They get along pretty well because of their similarities in personality. They like exchanging recommendations with each other and has made it a bonding activity. Camellia often helps Levi through his social anxiety during social gatherings.

"What do you think of Leviathan?"

Camellia: Levi is an amazing person! I really love how he's so passionate about the things he likes, and I think everybody needs a little bit of that. I'm also grateful that I finally found someone who I can bond with over our favorite webcomics and light novel series. I hope he knows how awesome he is.

Satan

They also get along pretty well. He is her usual go-to whenever there's an upcoming test. They also bond over cats and go to regular cat café dates with Solomon. He knows Camellia owns a cat and is absolutely in love with Pepper (he is over the moon when he finally meets the cat).

Satan is her rambling buddy when her geek side is activated. And in turn, Satan tells her facts that she doesn't know yet and book recommendations.

"What do you think of Satan?"

Camellia: Sure, he's scary at first glance but he's a great person once you get to know him. I think his expressions when it comes to cats are quite adorable, but don't tell him I said that hehe.

Asmodeus

They did not get along at first but got closer later on. He's her fashion consultant (she has no clue when it comes to fashion lol) and her biggest hype man when it comes to her endeavors. He is also the one who helped Camellia realize her feelings towards Lucifer.

He brings her to some social events (with Mammon sometimes) so that she could experience more of the Devildom (his words). He is quite attentive of her during these events as he knows her social battery can get drained quickly. He only brings her when she agrees.

"What do you think of Asmodeus?"

Camellia: I cannot tell you enough how much I enjoy our time with each other. He is literally one of the nicest people I have met in my life. I have never met someone as supportive since I met Peachy, whom I met when I was in elementary school. I know I can rely on him and I hope he knows that he can rely on me too.

Beelzebub

Not as close as Mammon, Levi, and Satan, but they also get along well. He's her partner during workouts, and her No. 1 go-to when she needs help in general.

She occasionally bakes for him and she enjoys it. She does need his help reaching for the things in the cupboard though.

"What do you think of Beelzebub?"

Camellia: He's very nice. He may look intimidating but he's a gentle giant. Very sweet and kind, and he gives out one of the best hugs out there ^^

Belphegor

She had some trouble getting along with him after the events of Lesson 16, but she's slowly starting to open up to him again after bonding over astronomy.

"What do you think of Belphegor?"

Camellia: It's still a bit awkward around him but I know he's changed, so I'm giving him another chance. It's also nice to have someone knowledgeable about astronomy around, y'know?

Diavolo

They get along well so much so that the brothers sometimes say that they are like real siblings. They bond over things that they find interesting. Barbatos and Lucifer find the way they lit up over random things quite amusing to watch.

"What do you think of Diavolo?"

Camellia: He has this intimidating aura around him, but he's actually pretty cool to hang out with. There's never a dull moment when I'm with him. I like how he always works hard for the Devildom, and I respect him for that.

Barbatos

Camellia admires him a lot. She developed a crush of some sort towards him early on the start of the exchange program, though she never acted on it. She says the feelings she had for him at that time is akin to what a fan has for an idol.

Sometimes, she joins Luke and Barbatos's baking lessons for a chance to learn new recipes or skills. It become the highlight of her week if she does.

"What do you think of Barbatos?"

Camellia: He is so freaking amazing. Like– it's hard not to be amazed by him. He always does things so efficiently. It makes you wonder; does this man even make mistakes?? He's very nice but I definitely do NOT want to be on his bad side. Him being mad terrifies me a little.

Luke

She adores him a lot. They do a lot of baking together (sometimes joined by Barbatos and/or Simeon), and go to regularly planned outings with the other Purgatory Hall residents.

She is also protective over him, but even Luke is not safe from her teasing side, much to his chagrin.

With Simeon, the two of them tries to teach Solomon how to cook a decent and actually edible meal (there's no successful attempts yet, unfortunately).

"What do you think of Luke?"

Camellia: He is so adorable! He is like the little brother I never had!! There's just something about him that makes you wanna adopt him, y'know? It's also quite fun teasing him ehehe ಡ⁠ ͜⁠ ⁠ʖ⁠ ⁠ಡ

Simeon

She finds his presence soothing. They both like to dote on Luke, and he sometimes give her some life advice or stories about the brothers, which she appreciates very much.

"What do you think of Simeon?"

Camellia: He is probably one of the nicest people I know. He's like a caring older brother figure for me. He's kind of funny when it comes to technology lol. Although he is quite scary when he's angry...

Solomon

She admires him like how a younger sibling admires their older sibling. They do like to tease each other from time to time and has a competition on who can fluster who more.

"What do you think of Solomon?"

Camellia: He's a very cool and funky guy. He is quite a menace sometimes, but it's part of his charm. I do hope he gets better at cooking though. It's obvious he likes cooking for others but you know the issue about his cooking...

Final thoughts/Facts:

She is my most developed character, as she was originally a self-insert character. She has some of my personality traits and my hobbies, but I decided to make her a bit more different than me because it feels weird to have a character based on me at the moment I created her.

She is not my first OC though (that title goes to her older sister, Lillienne Hyacinth Sanchez, originally named Lillienne Cordova)

Lillienne was supposed to be my MC's name in the game but they won't accept it, and I was obsessed with camellia flowers at the time I started playing Obey Me. And that was how she was created.

She was really fun to make and I love her to bits.

I'm really happy to properly introduce her to others!

"Camellia, you have to listen to me. You should take a day off tomorrow."

Solomon says with his arms crossed as he stands by Camellia's bedroom doorway, watching his exhausted apprentice flop down forward on her bed.

She's been coming home always looking worn out for the past few days and it's worrying him.

"And I told you, you don't have to worry about me. I'm doing fine. Just a little tired."

He sighed. Camellia's stubbornness was one of the things he loved about her. But it can also be troublesome at times, like this moment.

He walked towards her and sat on the edge of the bed. She was still lying on her stomach.

"Would someone who's doing fine complain about her aching shoulders and back almost every day?" He quipped while gently massaging her shoulders.

"Oh, come on. You know that I already had issues with my shoulders and back even before I came here– oof! You hit a spot!"

Solomon took his hands off her shoulders when she groaned. "Does it hurt?"

Camellia shook her head. He sighed again.

"I just don't want you to overwork yourself. I know it's your way of coping with your situation, but it wouldn't hurt to give some time to yourself to unwind. And you know I'm always here to lend an ear to you, right?"

"......"

After a moment of silence, Camellia rose from her position. Solomon moved a little to give her space.

"It's just... I can't help but sometimes think that I might not be able to find a way to go back to our time. That I might not be able to see my family and friends again. It's... it's a scary thought. I know you're also trying to find a way for me to get back. I just don't want to add more worries for you to think about."

Solomon's heart clenched at her quiet words.

"Nonsense. You will never be a burden to me, Camellia, so you don't need to worry about that. You can share your thoughts with me as much as you like. And we'll find a way to get you back, I promise," he assured her as he pulled her in for a hug.

"...Alright, I'll take the day off tomorrow. I'll call Lucifer later to tell him."

"Good."

They stayed in that position for a while. The silence between them was comforting.

"...Hey, Solomon?"

"Yes?"

"Did you, perhaps, cook something again?"

"...No."

Camellia pushed the white-haired sorcerer at arm's length.

"Lies. I can smell burnt food from your clothes."

"W-well... you were tired, so I can't let you use up your remaining energy to cook for us both! Please, Camellia...!"

She sighed as she watched her teacher fumble with his words trying to find excuses. Looks like her day isn't quite over yet.

There's probably a situation that's similar to this.

It goes like this:

Customer #1: You know how ----- is dating someone right now? Apparently the guy's over 10 years older than her.

Customer #2: Really?? That's a huge age gap. It's kinda strange, she's like dating a guy who can be considered her older brother.

Camellia: ...... *remembering that Lucifer is over 10 million years older than her and everyone else*

Camellia: ...Hello. May I take your orders? ^^;

Random Person: "5 years is too much of an age gap! Thats weird!"

Obey me players: "...It might seem crazy what i'm 'bout to say..."

In the late hours of the night, the usual noise of the House of Lamentation is reduced to a peaceful quiet as the residents doze off to dreamland.

This night, however, was different.

Soft giggling can be heard from the room of the youngest members of the family.

"Ate, do you think we'll visit a museum this time?" The young boy, Eris, asked his sister Elyssabeth who was lying at the bottom bunk of their bed.

"I'm not sure, but I hope we'll visit the seaside again. The sunset we saw before was really pretty."

"Ooh! And what if this time we'll make an overnight stay and make a campfire like those in the movies!"

This time, he peered down to look at her.

"Wouldn't that be awesome?"

Elyssabeth giggled in response as she began to imagine the scene.

"Elyssa? Eris? Why are you still up?"

Hearing their names, the two children turned to see the figure standing by the door.

"Mama!"

There stood Camellia with a questioning look. In her hands was a tray with two glasses of milk on it.

Closing the door behind with magic, she made her way to the bunk bed and asked, "Too excited to fall asleep?"

The children nodded.

"I thought so," Camellia smiled softly and placed the glasses on the bedside table.

"Mama, are we going to a museum tomorrow?"

"Or at the seaside again for an overnight stay and do a campfire at night?"

She couldn't help but chuckle at the twins' questions. It seems like they're really excited for this trip, she thought.

"Maybe, maybe not. Who knows..." she says in a teasing lilt.

"The only way to find out is if you wake up tomorrow on time for the trip, so you really need to sleep now."

Eris whined at her reply. "But Mamaaaa, I have to know! Tell us... pretty please~?"

"But then it wouldn't be a surprise anymore, wouldn't it...?"

Camellia paused. An idea had just formed in her mind.

"How about this? What if I stay here and we can make a pillow fort? Sounds good?"

Upon hearing her suggestion, Elyssabeth and Eris immediately lit up and hurriedly brought their pillows and blankets on the floor.

"Are you done with your milk?" Camellia asked as she finishes arranging the pillows and blankets.

"Yep! All finished!" the children answered, putting the empty glasses back on the table.

She smiled and patted the spaces beside her.

Elyssabeth was the first to lie down inside the pillow fort, followed by her younger twin.

Camellia was the last one to lie down, ensuring that the two was comfortable enough first.

"Mama..." Elyssabeth softly called.

"Yes, my little chestnut?"

"Can you tell us the story of the Sun King and the Flower Maiden?"

"Are you sure? You've heard it several times now."

"It's my favorite," the young girl replied.

Camellia sighed before smiling. "...Alright."

Once upon a time, there lived a young maiden in a faraway village. She was the daughter of the village chief and was known for her remarkable beauty.

Every day, she would always bathe in the river before sunrise, and the moment she finishes, the sun is already appearing from the horizon. And every time, she would comb her long, silken hair and watch the sun ascend while weaving a flower crown that she would wear.

She would then place fresh flowers from her garden on the village's makeshift altar as an offering to God.

Unbeknownst to her, the Sun King who travels around the world every day in his golden chariot would watch her as she goes on her day, and he eventually fell in love with her.

The Sun King wanted the maiden to know how he feels towards her. But he wasn't human like her. He doesn't have a mouth that he could use to declare his love for her.

Then one afternoon, as the Sun King prepares himself to return to his home, he saw the maiden sleeping peacefully under the shade of a huge tree. He was so mesmerized by her beauty that he couldn't help but touch her face with his golden rays and accidentally taking her with him in his golden chariot.

However, the Sun King realized that as much as he loved her, he wouldn't be able to bring her back to his celestial home. So with a heavy heart, he slowly placed the maiden back to where she was sleeping and left. The maiden woke up after that, thinking that all that happened earlier was only a dream as she watched the sky's different colors caused by the setting sun.

But that brief contact between the Sun King and the maiden resulted to something, and many moons later, it was found out that the maiden was carrying the Sun King's child in her womb.

The maiden's father, the village chief, asked her daughter how it happened. But the maiden could not answer, for she doesn't know that the Sun King was the father of her child. This angered her father, and he banished the poor maiden from the village.

Saddened by this, the maiden visited her flower garden, her tears wetting the grass before she went to the makeshift altar and prayed.

In the following days, the maiden walked along the track beside the river. Her food were the wild fruits she found, and her shelter the shade of the trees. And there, she gave birth to her and the Sun King's daughter. The child, being the Sun King's daughter, has fair skin and a round face and beautiful eyes.

Meanwhile, back in the village, the flowers slowly wilted without the maiden's presence. The village also became gloomy since her banishment.

The village chief, realizing how lonely it was without his one and only daughter, ordered his men to find her and bring her back.

The moment the maiden returned to the village with her newborn daughter, the village was once again filled with joy and the flowers bloomed and became vibrant again.

"...And they lived happily, ever after."

As if on cue, the door opened the moment the story ended, revealing Lucifer on the other side.

"Shhh... they just fell asleep," said Camellia in a hushed voice.

"Then you'll be sleeping here, I take it?" Lucifer replied in a similar tone.

"Mm... You could sleep here too, you know? There's still some space."

There was a moment of silence before the Avatar of Pride joined the three inside the pillow fort and lied beside Elyssabeth who was now sleeping soundly.

Camellia softly smiled at the sight.

"They were so excited for the trip tomorrow, I can't help but hope they enjoy it a lot."

"Then all the more reason to ensure that things will go smoothly tomorrow," Lucifer hummed, mirroring her smile with his own.

Looking at him, a small thought came to her mind before closing her eyes.

Sana hindi matapos ang mga ganitong sandali.

"Good night, love."

"Good night."

Ate - an honorific in Filipino which is used to refer to an older sister or a slightly older woman.

The Sun King and the Flower Maiden - a folk tale that tells the reason why flowers seem to bloom a lot during the month of May. The original title is "Bakit Mabulaklak Ang Buwan ng Mayo" (lit. Why is the Month of May Flowery?) (I'm the one who came up with the title used in this fic lol).

My MC Camellia was walking to her café when a flash of light enveloped her. Once she opened her eyes, she was standing inside a hall with several stone chairs in front of her. There were also several men looking at her direction.

The aura they give off were very different. Coming from a lineage of a babaylan family, she knew the men were not humans, although she doesn't know what kind of creatures they are.

Used to being whisked away to the Spirit Realm because of her "friends", she calmly asked them why she was brought there. She was dumbfounded when she learned that they were, in fact, the creatures her lola warned her and her sisters about: demons.

Still wary of them, she accepts the offer of being an exchange students, thinking that she'll be in danger if she refused. What she didn't know was that decision will change her life drastically.

I'll start: Magnus was peacefully sleeping inside a bus while making their way home when they got summoned & pulled inside the Council Room, falling on the floor ( ouch ) in front of the brothers and Diavolo.
