Question
When switching front, does anyone else feel, like… a physical shift? In our system, a more monotone/older system switching with a more hyper/younger system often causes a very noticeable shift in how we feel physically.
For example, Guzma was in front, and our whole body felt heavy. Not sluggish, we just felt.. bigger? Like our shoulders were wider than they actually are?? And when he dipped, we felt super light and small again.
When Sunny or Muichiro front, we start to feel pretty tired.
With Margaret and Anya, it’s like we can’t stop smiling.
Is this a normal thing for other systems, too?

Howdy, y'all!
Some of you may know me already, but for those that are new here, welcome! My name is Margaret, but I also like to be called Maven.
I felt like a DNI list was long overdue, along with links to some of my other socials, so I created a Carrd! PLEASE READ THE DNI LIST. It will be updated as needed.
I'm here to ramble about my favorite things and share things I like, so if you're looking for someone to participate in your discourse, keep looking. I don't want any part of it, because I'm here to have fun (save for the occasional signal boost).
Oh yeah, one more thing. I have four other blogs:
@incorrect-animal-crossing-quotes (my incorrect quotes blog)
@minecraftmavenmode (my Minecraft Story Mode sideblog)
@professor-simp-amore (my Sycamore obsession blog, not very active)
@your-fave-wears-makeup (my "your fave" blog)
Alright, that's about it. Thanks for listening, and see you on Tumblr!

Wild how we know that Elizabeth Woodville was officially appointed to royal councils in her own right during her husband’s reign and fortified the Tower of London in preparation of a siege while 8-months pregnant and had forces gathering at Westminster “in the queen’s name” in 1483 – only for NONE of these things to be even included, let alone explored, in the vast majority of scholarship and historical novels involving her.
#lol I don't remember writing this - I found it when I was searching for something else in my drafts. But it's 100% true so I had to post it.#elizabeth woodville#my post#Imo this is mainly because Elizabeth's negative historiography has always involved both vilification and diminishment in equal measure.#and because her brand of vilification (femme fatale; intriguer) suggests more indirect/“feminine” than legitimate/forceful types of power#It's still bizarre though-you'd think these would be some of the most famous & defining aspects of Elizabeth's life. But apparently not#I guess she only matters when it comes to marrying Edward and Promoting Her Family and scheming against Richard#There is very lacking interest in her beyond those things even in her traditionally negative depictions#And most of her “reassessments” tend to do diminish her so badly she's rendered utterly irrelevant and almost pathetic by the end of it#Even when some of these things *are* mentioned they're never truly emphasized as they should be.#See: her formal appointment in royal councils. It was highly unconventional + entirely unprecedented for queens in the 14th & 15th century#You'd think this would be incredibly important and highlighted when analyzing late medieval queenship in England but apparently not#Historians are more willing to straight-up INVENT positions & roles for so many other late medieval queens/king's mothers that didn't exist#(not getting into this right now it's too long...)#But somehow acknowledging and discussing Elizabeth's ACTUAL formally appointed role is too much for them I guess#She's either subsumed into the general vilification of her family (never mind that they were known as 'the queen's kin' to actual#contemporaries; they were defined by HER not the other way around) or she's rendered utterly insignificant by historians. Often both.#But at the end of the day her individual role and identity often overlooked or downplayed in both scenarios#and ofc I've said this before but - there has literally never been a proper reassessment of Elizabeth's role in 1483-85 TILL DATE#despite the fact that it's such a sensational and well-known time period in medieval England#This isn't even a Wars of the Roses thing. Both Margaret of Anjou and Margaret Beaufort have had multiple different reassessments#of their roles and positions during their respective crises/upheavals by now;#There is simply a distinct lack of interest in reassessing Elizabeth in a similar way and I think this needs to be acknowledged.#Speaking of which - there's also a persistent habit of analyzing her through the context of Margaret of Anjou or Elizabeth of York#(either as a parallel or a foil) rather than as a historical figure in HER OWN RIGHT#that's also too long to get into I just wanted to point it out because I hate it and I think it's utterly senseless#I've so much to say about how all of this affects her portrayal in historical fiction as well but that's going into a whole other tangent#ofc there are other things but these in particular *really* frustrate me#just felt like ranting a bit in the tags because these are all things that I want to individually discuss someday with proper posts...

i love margaret encino. she’s a girlboss. she hates big corporations. she is always sending emails during fights. she made tens of thousands of credits from one of those emails. she is the most competent of her friend group. she once purposely rolled off a tall structure, called the scariest android in existence “stupid”, then turned around and hobbled away- on live television. she’s the best boss anyone’s ever had. she routinely slaps then kisses her crew mates. the only posts on her reddit account are a huge political leak and her hottest nude. she starts blushing and giggling when her “friend” gives her a motivational poster. she can truly convince anyone of anything. she once offered her tennants a full year of free rent if they sent some emails for her, and three of them said no. in the words of ally beardsley themself, she is daddy.

TM (showrunner) might be undoing the forced Buckley, Diaz and Han parents' redemptions.
After the way season 7 ended, I still don’t trust TM but it appears he’s back on his BS of revealing the Buckleys, Diazes and Hans for the shitty parents they've always been. Before I explain how I came to this conclusion, I have to go back to the hiatus after season 6 because I completed a post (linked here) about the stereotypes that plagued the season and one of my key points revolved around how it seemed like someone was "pushing an agenda" to get the audience to see them as good people who deserved to be redeemed when everyone who's been watching since season 2, knows they didn't deserve it. Well, now that we know it was the F*X Network hindering Buck’s and Eddie’s progress towards Buddie CANON, I think they were behind the whole "give these shitty parents an undeserved redemption arc" too (post linked here).
Here's what I mean.
The Buckleys
In 7x6, I noticed how Margaret and Phillip were back on their highfaluting "we don’t want anyone to know we're not perfect parents" BS when Phillip called Buck "Evan" even though he specifically asked them to call him "Buck" in 4x5. They called him Buck in season 6 without issue and they were acting like pod people when they told him he was a "miracle baby" but he knew it wasn't genuine. Also, when Margaret made her famous "disappointed face" towards Maddie when she was getting ready to walk down the hospital's aisle/hallway so she could marry Chimney, Margaret reverted back to being the Buckley mom the audience who's been watching for the entirety of the show recognized. Maddie even clapped back at her for questioning her decision to get married there and it reminded me of 4x5 when Maddie told her she didn't get to tell her about her place. Furthermore, Margaret made that face again when Buck returned to the room with soot on his face. It's the face she made in 4x4 before he told them to "Love me anyway."
The Diazes
In seasons 5 and 6, Helena was still pushy and controlling but her behavior wasn’t anything like it was back in seasons 2 and 3. They let Eddie reconcile with Ramon in 5x17 but the things Eddie went through as a child were barely addressed. He NEVER confronted his mom (hopefully, he will this season) about the shitty things she's said to him, "Don't drag him down with you Eddie" was one of the worst. It's been years but she's STILL TRYING TO TAKE CHRIS FROM HIM and instead of letting Eddie confront her, the show gave her a pass and let it all get swept under the rug. Also, they took Eddie’s support system away from him. Isabel moved back to El Paso but the audience didn't know until 5x17 and in season 6, they had Pepa acting like Helena. Prior to season 5, Pepa and Isabel were shown to be supportive of his decisions while remaining at odds with Helena regarding the way she dismissed them as his family in season 2 (related post here). But at the end of season 7, Helena was back at it and Ramon just went along with everything she said the same way he used to when he was away from home working. All the progress Eddie made with him was erased and I think that was on purpose but I digress. Also, in season 8, she's back up to her controlling ways and she's doing everything she attempted to do back in 2017 before Eddie and Chris left for L.A. It remains to be seen if Eddie will tell her she was always the problem in 8x6 or when he goes to get his son.
Sang Han
In 7x6, IIRC, there weren't any mentions of Sang Han during Maddie’s and Chimney’s wedding but the Lees were there. Reminder, they were always said and shown to be his parents instead of Sang. But in 6x10 and 6x11, Chimney was guilt tripped by Albert's mom into believing he was prideful which was total BS because he’s not like that. So, it appears Sang might just be revealed as the man who abandoned his son in another country the way TM wanted it to be. He even brought Kevin back from the dead to save Chimney and lead him home to the Lees, not Sang.
Please note: Shannon Diaz is not included in this because TM likes the actress who plays her and after that "Vertigo" and doppelgänger f~ckery at the end of season 7, any chance there was to undo her retconned past was an EPIC FAILURE especially since Eddie has yet to admit she abandoned both him and Chris. While it’s possible Eddie may address it in 8x6 or beyond, I won't be holding my breath but hopefully, he will tell Chris the truth about his mother so they can FINALLY GRIEVE AND MOVE ON. (My opinion on Shannon is she's a bad mom just like Helena and NO, I won't give her a pass just because she was young when she got pregnant. Younger women than her don’t abandon their children so if you like Shannon, good for you but DO NOT REBLOG THIS WITH AN OPPOSING OPINION. CREATE YOUR OWN POST ON YOUR OWN BLOG AND GUSH OVER HER ALL YOU WANT. ANYONE WHO TRIES IT WILL GET BLOCKED!)
Anyway, IMO, it appears F*X wanted 9-1-1 to show the Buckleys, Diazes, Sang Han and Shannon Diaz to be redeemed and the show followed suit but now that TM is back at the helm and they’re on a new network, he’s like... NOPE, there won't be any redemptions because he’s going to show them for who they really are. They're shitty parents who deserve to be called out on their BS and they should have their long overdue conversations on screen with their children.

Ipomoea, Reach For The Sky: The Dakkar and Margaret Essay
(spoilers for Searcher Part Two!)
Hi, hello, I predicted this and I’ve never felt more like a prophet in my life. Allow me many, many moments of screaming over this, please! But, to more serious analysis: Can't you see me? Can't you see me reaching out? Am I not one of your own? We're together, but alone. We would have staring contests like we were children, like we are in this moment, and I would never cease to be the first to blink.
Margaret…she’s talking to Dakkar, isn’t she?
Staring up at the moon, staring at her brother. It's the closest she can get to seeing him from here. He's her whisper in a daydream, her melody that lingers - he's a face that she recognizes.
These two have been reaching out to each other this whole time, and we never even knew it. Margaret and the Moon, Destiny Strange and Sublime - they're speaking to each other, waiting for each other.
It was never only about the moon she was looking up at. It was never only a mystery he was haunted by. It was about looking up at the same moon, about the mystery that only one of them knew the truth to.
But I’ve been on my own for so long! Please, I beg of you. How can I search when I don’t know what’s missing?
But she was. That’s what we all can see! Margaret was always searching.
She modelled her room in New York after her brother’s in the Blazing World! We hear her leitmotif in Dakkar's room, after all. She searched through thousands of scientific books, just like the ones her brother would have loved. She stared up at the moon, and was reminded of him. Even without knowing, she was looking. She was reaching out. Staring at her brother from a distance. She knew, she knew even talking to Samuel, that she had once not been alone in this life. I would even venture that when she took in Rose and Samuel, she looked at them and felt something familiar. She recognized a face, a relationship, siblings who loved each other so deeply, in people she'd just met.
Dakkar was her phantom limb.
But while Margaret was lost because she knew nothing of who she once was? Dakkar was lost because he was alone, and he knew exactly why. Here I am, as promised. I’m ready.
He’s been waiting. Dakkar was left. He was left alone. Left as the only one with the weight of the memories the two of them shared. He took on the history that Margaret had to forget, left alone with every memory that Margaret has been so hungry to have back. He knows the destiny the two of them shared, the plans they’ve made - and he wants her to know them once more, too! Burdened with knowledge. We know he trusted her to have his back, even when she had no idea who he was, because that’s his sister. He trusts her wholeheartedly, even in the midst of his desperation and rage. What else could he do but that?
These things remind, to make the most of time, now let me find the answer to the test of time. It’s all that I can see, in the faces in my dreams, in the moonlight and its beams.
Dakkar is speaking to her! He’s been trying to find an answer to the test of time, the time he spent alone. Time is so central to him, moving within the moving element! He's been moving in the world without Margaret by his side. He’s been trying to find an answer that will bring his sister back to him! He's so focused on finding that answer. It's all that he can see, the chance to see his sister in more than dream. To see her in person once more. He has his promises to keep, and he will see them through. To know his sister once again, and to have her know him in turn.
We see him calling out to Margaret - I can see you, I can see you reaching out, Margaret, you’re one of our own! He sings out her theme, one we’ve known since The Great Moon Hoax, something that’s hers. Hoping she’ll recognize him enough to reach back.
But, not yet.
The scene moves on, but...
Something tells me Margaret’s got my back on this!
Dakkar is tired, and he has been filled with so much rage. Because he is first in line, first to know exactly what he needs to do to have her back. He’s getting his hope back, no matter what it takes.
The test of time rarely comes at the best of times!
The first time we hear them harmonize, and it’s them agreeing that this needs to happen. Dakkar will do anything just to have her back. He’ll risk his own life to have her look at him with that love, that recognition again. That recognition he’s missed for years and years. Margaret has lived in only his memory for so long. Here she is in front of him again. How is he supposed to wait any longer? He needs to bring her home.
Margaret is so determined to find her answers, and to know the weight of the history she’s been missing. A part of her is searching, reaching out. Her voice is unshakably confident - and I have to wonder if a part of that is because she knows Dakkar is by her side again.
The two of them are in perfect harmony once more, as they do whatever it takes to get Margaret’s memory back. They’ll share their plans once more, come out of the shadows together. Even before Margaret fully remembers, that connection is there.
And then, Sia strikes.
Dakkar's plan works.
Margaret, after so long, remembers. Remembers everything. Remembers exactly who she is standing next to.
You know where to find me.
The theme of Margaret’s we’ve heard since The Great Moon Hoax. Margaret has been adrift in the world, a child throwing stones in the firmament. Dakkar has been waiting, as promised, with his destiny strange and sublime. Their destiny.
And how does it end?
Sister. You found me.

my pretentious trait is that i get richard ii and coriolanus, RIP to the haters but they're literally the two best plays in their respective categories because the leads are That Good in my opinion
#critics: who even are these people#me: gay obviously#no but imo they're two of the characters that speak the most truth in shakespeare#id say hamlet gets some of that as well (but im still warming to that one bit by bit) and julius caesar#and usually there's a scene in aaalmost any shakespeare play in which one or more of the female characters spit truth#(and then it's just about whether they're respected and/or believed in that truth-telling)#but these two. margaret is also underrated imo but i imagine thats because she's stuck in the middle of henry vi#but yeah i think coriolanus and richard ii wear their hearts on their sleeves and idk. it seems to alienate for some reason#shakespeare#coriolanus#richard ii#richard ii literally spelling out the whole Theme of every play that chronologically comes next *let's speak of graves*#and for her to be Disrespected like this?#i once did you common cry of curs over and over for the satisfaction. after All That!!!#the Poetry of these plays!!!!!!!!!! the meta thematic throughlines of them!!!!!!!! the Scale of them!!!!!!!!!!!!
