As I watched who I thought would be the love of my life ride away on a bus to a new start of his life, I vowed that I would focus on bettering my life as well. A new start for Sae and a new healing for the heart. Better days are ahead for me. They're going to be.

The thought of that is enough to give me a small smile despite the warm steaks of tears going down my face.

Day 125: Tuesday May 6, 2025 - "Cloudy and 65"

I suppose its only fair if we sometimes get August weather in October, that we should get a little February here in May. The weather has been unreal. Not quite the end of hoodie season yet, though the triple digits sit on the horizon. It wont last forever, and so we've been taking advantage of it these last few days and really soaking in those cool breezes. After living in Tucson for long enough, Cloudy and 65, in May!, sounds like perfect weather. By the weekend, the low will be todays high. Perfect weather for having the house open and breathing before AC season starts.

Adrienne Lyle and Helix during their test today at Versailles. They finished with a very respectable 72.593%. Unfortunately, her teammate Marcus Orlob with Jane was eliminated after blood was seen on the horse's fetlock. It was only a minor scrape and the horse is fine, but this means the USA Dressage Team cannot qualify for a medal. Steffen Peters and Suppenkasper (Mopsie) make their attempt to qualify for an individual medal tomorrow.

People start boarding and with a sigh, Marcus backs up, blinking his eyes rapidly as if holding back his own tears. We were being so strong for one another. He walks towards the bus and I walk with him until I can't anymore, releasing his hand and in tandem, him from my life.

Marcus: It's time. Be safe for me okay?

Sae: I will. You do the same.

His face breaks me and I sob, staying still where I stood. I allow the tears to finally fall.
