in these trying times…thinking abt team mafia defending babynap from other ppl w being called “too loud” or “annoying” just like they did back during HoN.

i’d like to think that in the mafia au sapnaps is more timid given he was always with dream who was able speak for him. but babynap was raised in the team mafia base. social anxiety fears that household - and so he learns and is even encouraged to be more wild.

i think he’d be more shy and nervous at first with all the new faces and voices but obviously ends up warming to them all and even becomes very familiar with all the other residents of the server. which means this little terror is comfortable enough to be his usual menace self and go around causing mayhem (alongside sylvee when he can manage to convince her).

all in all everyone takes it all in good fun, they’re just kids after all, and they’ve never minded a bit of trolling. but there’ll be an occasional comment tossed out there, maybe someone talking abt how “obnoxious” and “annoying” and “loud” he is being. and the mafia hear and are all like

i’ll make you happy (just wait and see) by newamsterdam (T) 7k // the FLUFF akjhsfkfjka,,, it’s a lot of pining and kinda slow burn but not really cause they’re basically dating without dating LOL. I love Yaku and the hc that he’s done with Kuroo’s bs like 100% of the time. There’s slight angst (for like two seconds TW:implied death), but other than that it’s all fluff! You don’t actually need to read the other fics in the series to understand this one, it’s a standalone.

They’re such classics but I still reacted to each one WITH PASSION LFMAKJNAKNKA. This is such a keyboard smash fic (hence the keyboard smash) because I kept being like THE FLUFF IS TOO MUCH, but is it ever really enough? (dang am I a poet LMAO).

video games and gold rings by gnomeo (G) 4.8k // AH this one is more plot than fluff and I got so enraptured by it during my first read through! It’s really cute and it’s fun to put the pieces the writer leaves for the reader (which are also explained in the a/n).

Kuroo is a certified simp and I know it starts out a little angsty, it’s turns into a happy ending where your stone-cold heart is warmed ie. heartwarming fic. (But pickles and lemons? Really? ugh gross LOL) It’s a cute fic and I love Kenta.

Ah, that is…my boyfriend, I guess… by trashwriter (NR) 621 // this one is super short but it was funny and disgustingly cute. Like I could see them never really defining the relationship out loud (which you shouldn’t do communication is key) and just rolling with it. But also the fact that Kuroo confessed and Kenma didn’t react killed me.

an ode by manzana (G) 1.7k // a fic dedicated to Kuroo’s laugh. That’s it. That’s the fic. JK but no seriously that’s what this is about LMFAO. It’s v cute and ofc fluff and Kuroo’s laugh would interrupt everything LOL. Donkey bray laughing ass hehe.

Anyway, I’ll just be here pushing my mafia fanfic agenda while you read this monster of a fic hehe :) Definitely read WARNINGS, TAGS, and SUMMARY because there is some very sensitive topics involved! Addiction and Attachment by eevaeon (T) 41.8k // I’VE BEEN WAITING TO REC THIS OMG. You want a Kenma taking care of Kuroo? HERE IT IS :DDDD The feels in this one are high and it’s just SO GOOD. And they’re so cute the fluff is just so fluffy in this :D

Step by Step by dgalerab (M) 14.7k // inclusivity!!! I really like this one and it’s another where Kuroo gets kinda comforted by Kenma and Kuroo’s a bit desperate in this as well LOL. Also some BokuAka plot and poor Akaashi with the shirt omg. There’s some homophobia and smut so be careful as you read!

Anyway, if you can’t handle DEATH or sad sad sad things rn (or ever for that matter) plsplspls do NOT read this one!!!! It really made me so sad! hq detective AUs by valiantarmor // Man do I really love fighting in my fics LOL. This was super good and the plot itself kept me really engaged (what a twist omg). It does talk a bit about mental health issues, but it’s done so well, and they really did this AU justice! The three fics can be read separately BUT they’re all done so well, I think you should read them all :)

       You see, your parents didn’t really...favor you per se.  They often gave all the opportunities to your older sister- and that would be fine, except, it didn’t stop there.  They constantly compared you to her.   ‘You don’t want to wear a dress, your sister wears dresses why don’t you?’  ‘You don’t have a date, your sister does why don’t you?’  ‘You don’t like to read a lot, your sister does, why don’t you?’ Blah Blah Blah...you get it.

       Why don’t you bring it up?  More like, you stopped trying.  Every time you brought the matter up to your parents they denied it or just said “Well if you were like your sister blah blah blah blah.”

        Frustrating right?  And if you brought it up to your sister- ugh she would be worse than your parents!!

    Smacking her teeth, Elena began to complain, “Why can't we just have a different waitress? One that's actually good at her job, I mean come on!!"

   Chuckling Angelo said, “Don’t be rude bambina, I’m sure this is her first time on the job, after all, she forgot to put her name tag on. Oh,-” he turned to you, “excuse yourself from our presence.”

    Nodding your head, you turned and walked off to where your friend Dj is currently stationed. 

    “N/n, isn’t that your sister,” He asked brushing some of his black locks out the way of his eyes.

  “Yep," you said.

"And isn't that-?"

"Yep."

"They're such a**holes."

Sighing you nodded, "And it doesn't help that those group of guys keep staring at me."

Looking around*cough*obviously*cough*, Dj spotted a group of.....peculiar looking males. Not only were they...peculiar but they were also staring straight at you.

"So, what'd you do?"

"Nothing!!"

"Are you sure??"

"Positive!!!"

"Did you spill coffee on someone's suit again???"

"NO!!!"

"Then why is the nicest man in all of Naples coming over here with a glint in his eyes??"

"Who-"

"I bet you mouthed off at someone again. I thought you went to anger management and counseling for this already??"

"I didn't do anything I don't even know who you're talking-"

"Excuse me, are you Alessia Ghirga?"

Among hearing the voice, you turned around...only to be met with a chest covered in...tattoos?? So, you looked up and swore you died and went to heaven. Who was this handsome stranger dressed in albeit weird but stylish clothing?? Asking for you- well, your fake name.

"About that, my name is actually Y/n Manzana. I only said that so my sister and ex don't know it's actually me," you chuckled nervously.

Blinking twice, he answered, "Oh...uh...I'm sorry for the inconvenience then señora."

"It's okay, it's to be expected honestly, you use a fake name in public like this and you are bound to be mistaken for someone or be mistaken to be related for someone."

"How did you know that I thought you were related ro someone," he asked suspiciously.

"To be honest, I guessed," you said.

"Oh, right," he chuckled.

Then came the awkward silence. Along with the awkward eye contanct.

"So," he began, clearing his throat, "I'll uh go back to the table...I deeply apologize for the inconvenience."

"It's fine really señor," you began, "It was bound to happen, really."

With a breathy laugh, he seemed to let it go, "Yeah, I guess you're right."

Silence...all that was left after that bad attempt ar comedy, was silence. Along with the man looking awfully pail...frick.

Chuckling once more, he said bye to Dj before going back to his table, right...beside... Elena's...FU-

"I'm gonna kill you."

For the rest of the day, you worked diligently and made small talk with the customers and Dj, before you finally went home. Completely oblivious the suited men were following you home, who were oblivious to the long and bob haired man following them. All of them having one question in mind.

Decir que Ridley Scott es un director británico cuyo prestigio es reconocido en todo el mundo resulta una obviedad que no requiere de mayores comentarios. Películas como “Alien”, “Blade Runner”, “Thelma y Louise” o “Gladiator”, con la que ganó en el 2000 el Oscar a la mejor película, forman parte de su extensa filmografía que le señalan como uno de los grandes realizadores de la historia cinematográfica.

Ahora descubro que hace 14 años, Scott filmó -no sé cómo pudo pasarme desapercibida- “American Gansters”, una película basada en hechos que tuvieron lugar en la ciudad de Nueva York en las décadas de los 60-70.

En 1968 Nixon ganó las elecciones y el nuevo Presidente heredará una nación convulsa, sacudida por continuas manifestaciones, desórdenes y protestas callejeras cuya repercusión tendrá consecuencias en el resto del Planeta. Ese mismo año fueron asesinados Martin Luther King y Robert Kennedy y aviones procedentes de Vietnam descargaban cada día

cientos de cadáveres de jóvenes soldados estadounidenses en los aeropuetos militares del país. El desánimo y el hartazgo habían minado la confianza del país en sus instituciones y la población manifestaba su descontento y frustación en cada ciudad del país.

La ciudad de Nueva York era ajena a este beligerante caldo de cultivo. Además, los altos índices de criminalidad la habían convertido en una de las metrópolis más inseguras del mundo. Las mafias campeaban a sus anchas en connivencia con una administración y policía corruptas hasta la náusea. Miles de neoyorkinos enfermaban y morían cada año bajo los efectos devastadores de la droga, sobre todo entre la comunidad afroamericana que habitaba los barrios más deprimidos de la Gran Manzana. Y es en este entorno donde el director británico sitúa su potentísima y bien narrada historia real.

Frank Lucas, admirablemente interpretado -tal y como nos tiene acostumbrados- por Denzel Washington, fue un ciudadano de color nacido en el Estado de Carolina del Norte quien, a finales de los años 60 y principios de los 70, se convirtió en el mayor distribuidor de heroína de Harlem, lo que le permitió amasar una gran fortuna. Junto a él, Russell Crow nos ofrece una actuación magistral como el honesto agente de policía Richie Roberts empeñado en cazar al escurridizo Lucas. Estructurada sobre unos diálogos muy bien escritos y una soberbia ambientación, sus dos horas y media de metraje pasan como un suspiro para hacer de esta película uno de los exponentes del mejor cine de acción.

Y termino, mis improbables lectores, con una nota curiosa. Sepan que tanto Frank Lucas como Richie Roberts cooperaron como asesores durante el rodaje de “American Gansters”, lo que supuso un gran acierto de Scott al aportar ambos personajes una valiosa información, confiriendo un mayor grado de credibilidad y autenticidad a esta formidable película a su disposición en Netflix.

Sooooo for the baby au, I was thinking about I was thinking about other headcanons for others that haven't been fleshed out. I was thinking about piru, for example. Piru, I feel like was a bit more standoffish at the beginning, but was similar to cris in the fact that he would teach sapnap random stuff that made himself laugh. Then he would be watching him on the occasion, and he would just do cute things like trying to show off his Spanish, and every other word would be wrong. He says it with a lot of confidence, which piru finds adorable. Also, trying to show off his fire powers and just making a little flame, and being so proud. He made it so much bigger than last time!

One time, the base gets a raid. It's only piru and sapnap there, and Piru is trying to section off the monsters so he can beat them while trying to keep sapnap safe. He takes a lot of damage and runs out of golden apples, but sapnap realizes when he hears the word "manzana" what's wrong. Then he goes into shadoune's chest since he always has extra everything. He then is able to bring piru a few, and while sapnap tries to throw it to him, they all kinda just fall to the ground. It did help that they were all there even if they were just on the ground. So piru picks up sapnap, and then the apples and makes sure to put sapnap somewhere safe while getting chased by a couple of ghosts since they aren't blocked by the outside barrier. He's telling. Sapnap that he need to go inside and make sure to get to the underground. Not before sapnap tries to convince him while their running that he can totally flame blast them, but it just kinda fizzles as soon as it leaves his hand. After that, sapnap hangs his head and races down the stairs. Piru then ends the ghosts before they can even try and phase down through the ground to get the netherborn down below.

With the 5 apples sapnap brought (he was proud, he carried so many), Piru was just able to get through last of the horde without worrying about wasting a totem. He tells sapnap that he's very brave, and that he helped him a lot that day. Piru does explain to Sapnap he needs to worry about himself more, and that going out there with all the monsters is very dangerous. (He is pretty happy that he didn't have to waste a totem on a simple raid though he knows he'd get a good amount of shit for it.) It does help endear Piru considering he kinda just saw sapnap as an annoying kid who was fun to tease. He can be really sweet when he wants to be.

"I thought about my apple slices, but shadoune told me that you guys need more than one slice to get super powered."

He even thought about giving up his snack that he tries to horde because hey golden apple slices are good, and the mafia isn't above take a couple of slices from him. (It's mostly spreen and cris)

After that, Piru starts calling him sapni, all the time because he gets embarrassed by the nickname. Also, it's just a cute nickname, and he it's funny bringing him into a hug and just going "sappppppniiii." Sapnap loves affection, but knows he's get teased with that cutsey nickname, and gets all indignant at first. (He likes it more whenever everyone starts calling him that, and he feels more like a part of the mafia. Everyone likes giving each other cutesy nicknames to make fun, but it still shows they see you as one of them.) I like seeing piru as like a doting big brother kind of dynamic, or maybe an uncle. Either way, he's definitely not parental like some others, but he does love messing around and teasing little sapni.

(I also totally took that sapnap giving piru golden apples from one of the dungeons. Sapnap gave Piru a good amount of apples, and it helped him out and saved him from wasting totems. It was the second one, I believe. Anyway, it's just a dumb little thing, and I hope to get think of other stuff later. Hope your day is going well!)

I don't have much to add besides adoring baby Sapnap running as fast as he can with all those apples orz The imagery is so cute!!! Piru just scooping him up and it's them two running and screaming (piru out of fear and sapnap out of excitement)

Piru shoving an apple in his mouth and Sapnap remembering his lessons of having to chew before you swallow or you can choke! Telling Piru Nooo!! Slow, des-despa.......SLOW!!

Sapnap finally scurrying off to hide in the basement, hearing all ghosts and not liking them anymore >:'( they were silly at first but Piru was getting hurt!! They're mean >:(((!!!

The aftermath of Piru just in love with the baby. Always tossing him in the air and getting the craziest cute aggression for his Sapni. Sapnap being bombarded not only by Serpias, but now Piru too with all the cooing and kissing and cheek squeezes....He's a big boy!!! He can fight!! Not a cute baby!!! >:(!!!

(Unless there's something he thinks he can get away with, then he's the cutest baby, please give him more manzanas and deditas :3)
