"That was insane! You guys are insane!" Manny exclaimed. "I thought he was gonna kill us!"

"Yeah, that was crazy," John B agreed.

"That was literally crazy! I can't believe you hit him with the door, Sarah!"

Sarah met his eyes and sent him a forced smile.

"Perrito, cállate, por favor," Edgar breathed from the back. Manny didn't know a lot of Spanish, but they knew what shut up meant.

"Sorry," they said. Edgar waved the apology off.

Manny felt like a thousand wasps were flying around in his body, waiting for the chance to burst from his skin. He'd never been in a situation like that before, with guns and violence.

"God, that was insane," they muttered under their breath.

"Manny, for the love of God, stop talking," Kie snapped. "You're rambling shit is usually cute, but you gotta read the room, dude."

"Don't call 'em dude," Edgar said, voice unusually stern.

Kie scoffed. "I didn't mean it like—"

They began to bicker, but Manny's attention was stolen by someone's hand on his arm. He turned, and was face to face with Pope.

"That was crazy," he said, voice hushed.

Manny's entire body lit up with his words. "I know. Feel my heartbeat."

They grabbed his hand, pressing it to their chest. Their heart was still racing, like the bass of a techno song from 2008.

Pope's face fell, and he froze, looking at their overlapped hands. It was as if he was a rebooting computer. After a long moment, he cleared his throat, nodding too fast and too hard. "Yeah, uh, it is really fast." He pulled his hand away, making Manny frown.

"Was that.. Did I make you uncomfortable? I'm sorry," he said.

Pope shook his head. "No! No, it was.. It's okay. 'M not uncomfortable."

Manny but the inside of his cheek. "You sure?"

Whatever Pope was about to say was cut off by Edgar calling up to JJ in the driver's seat as the Twinkie pulled into a place Manny didn't recognize. "Why are we here, Jay?"

SAN ANTONIO – WBC, WBA, and IBF world champion Jermell Charlo and WBO world champion Brian Castaño met face-to-face on Thursday at the final press conference to preview their undisputed 154-pound world championship showdown taking place this Saturday, July 17 live on SHOWTIME from AT&T Center in San Antonio in a Premier Boxing Champions event. Thursday’s press conference also featured unbeaten Interim WBA Lightweight Champion Rolando “Rolly” Romero and former title challenger Anthony Yigit, who meet in the co-main event, and unbeaten middleweight Amilcar Vidal and veteran contender Immanuwel Aleem, who battle in the telecast opener at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The hard-hitting unified champion Charlo and the exciting Argentine Castaño will go toe-to-toe as all of the super welterweight championship belts are on the line for the first time in the four-belt era. The highly anticipated matchup will add to the long and storied history of major championship fights to take place in San Antonio. Tickets for the live event, which is promoted by Lions Only Promotions and TGB Promotions, are on sale now and can be purchased through www.attcenter.com. Here is what the press conference participants had to say Thursday from San Antonio: JERMELL CHARLO “I’m excited to be fighting back in Texas, but I’ll fight anywhere. As long as everyone tunes in, they know what time it is. I’m more than ready. I’m excited and anxious to get in the ring. “This is a dream come true. I’ve wanted to be undisputed since I was a child because this is the highest you can reach in boxing. Being in this moment really makes me thankful to my whole team who helped me get to this point. “Now is the time that me and my brother finally get the opportunity to show the world what we’re worth. This is the moment for us. Opportunities like this don’t come around too often, so I have to go out there and take advantage. “I’m not old enough to think about the Hall of Fame yet. I’m just focusing on the right now. I have a goal to accomplish that will take 36 minutes or less on Saturday. I’ll look into everything else that this means after Saturday night. “I don’t have any pressure on me. I’ve been in this position so many times in my life. he's deeply tragic (family trauma up to his eyeballs) but he's just a little lover boy!! his family owns a church in the cut, saint lucia's, and he gets wrapped up in the plot bcuz he has huuuge crush on jj, and then ends up in a secret relationship with him <3

in the later seasons, things get very complicated for him romantically (it's a whole thing, rafe is involved) and his faith is tested and he's just overall not having a good time </3

but he survives bcuz his heart is full of love

next we have nova morales!

edgar's complete opposite fgdgf she's the biggest hater girl in the obx!

her plot revolves around her issues with her family – her mother left her and her father about a year before s1 to start a new family on the figure 8 with a kook guy – and how that bleeds into her relationships with everyone around her

she's possessive and loyal but hates change and people trying to worm their way into her found family

she's a kie love interest and their very much enemies to lovers they cannot stand each other!!

his main plot is that he has no personality or interests of his own and just has no idea who he is <\3 bcuz of that he gets into a situationship with rafe (in his eyes they're dating, in rafes eyes they're just hooking up And he's using him to get close to edgar, it's a whole thing)

prior to s1, he was adopted by a kook family and the pogues feel like he abandoned them, and he honestly kinda did, so he's also trying to get back on their good sides!

What Makes This Custom 1984 Chevy C10 One of the Baddest Trucks in South Florida

Born and raised in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, David “Dee” Espinoza spent plenty of time with his grandfather, Ramiro. While he’s got plenty of great memories with him, his most vivid were the ones spent with his grandpa in his Chevy C10. “I remember him taking me around the farm in the Chevy,” Dee tells Lowrider. “It was one of my favorite memories from my childhood.” And it was these memories that would last a lifetime and give him an affinity for the famous C10 platform.

His story begins when Dee’s family moved to South Florida to start a business called Daniel & Sons—an autobody shop that specialized in custom cars and trucks. The shop gave Dee a chance to work hands-on in the shop, and while Dee’s father and brothers didn’t catch the lowrider bug, Dee certainly did. To date he’s purchased around 15 custom cars that he turned into show cars. Throughout that time, he always kept his eye out for the elusive Chevy C10. It was a truck he wanted, a truck bucket list project and upon his grandfather’s death the search became that much more serious, that much more meaningful, and that’s when he found a 1984 Chevy C10 owned by Mannie Fresh. Following this discovery, Dee would consistently bug him to sell it, and his resilience wound up paying off. “I guess I finally annoyed him enough for him to let me buy it,” Dee says. The deal was done and the truck was driven as-is for the following month.

When he was ready to give the truck a face-lift, he brought it to the shop and began skim coating every panel to bring the body straight. Once it was prepped and passed approval, it was splashed with his favorite color, PPG Corvette Torch Red. Around the same time, Dee was craving a little more power, so he sourced an LS2 from a 2005 Denali and had Luis Castro perform the motor swap.

Although Dee had already built plenty of lowriders, he had different plans for the classic truck. He had a taste for the Texas-style billet wheels and wanted to add them to a lowrider-style vehicle. To accomplish that, he purchased billet Intro wheels and had Big Rick from Hialeah add his custom touch by engraving the wheels and every chrome addition on the Chevy. Once the wheels were mounted, Dee found out quickly that the rearend needed altering to fit the wider wheels, so he shortened the rearend and added a four-link with coilovers to accommodate the reverse-lip 28x12s.

During the build, the body was pulled from the frame where everything was powdercoated and the belly was rhino lined along with the bed. Dee added 3-D lettering of “Low Lyfe” to the bed showing his car club pride. A 2-inch drop was added to all four corners bringing the Chevy lower but still at a safe ride height. Nunez Brothers Upholstery then flipped the interior by fitting it with yards of red leather and suede with some billet accents while Ultimate Customs fitted 12-inch Kicker subwoofers behind each seat.

The Chevy C10 is the first truck in Dee’s fleet and probably the most proud he’s been of any of his vehicles due to the level of nostalgia the truck gives him every day. He wishes to thank God because without him he wouldn’t be in his present position. He wanted to thank his beautiful wife, Lidya, and their four kids, Daya, Mary, Yela, and Lil Dee, for all their understanding and support. He would also like to thank his club members and Low Lyfe family for their support through all the late nights. His grandfather is most certainly looking down with pride at Dee’s hard work and dedication, making “La Mamalona” one of the baddest trucks in South Florida.
