More white covers from 1967. The jazz edition. Including one of my favourite 67 albums "Riedaiglia" by the Swedish bass player Georg Riedel feat. the young Jan Garbarek. Also interesting: the German/Swizz "From Sticksland With Love - Drums And Folklore" by George Gruntz with Mani Neumeier of later Guru Guru krautrock fame. Rob Franken is a Dutch souljazz organist. The rest are well known Americans. The 3 Blue Note albums are the last few records that Reid Miles designed before the label got sold and changed the iconic look of the label. And I would love to find out which records Roland Kirk had in his shelf. I see ar least 4 Impulse albums on the cover. Yesterday's haul. Very happy to get the Jazz Meets India album, recorded Oct. 23, 1967 by Dewan Motihar and German jazz musicians like Mani Neumeier of later Guru Guru fame. The album comes from the private collection of the German producer and songwriter Gerd Köthe who died three years ago. Gerd released his first 7" in 1967 with Joy & The Hit Kids that became Joy Unlimited before singer Joy Fleming started a solo career. Nice to have an original copy that smells history.
