It’s Been Over Three Years Since El Jefe Passed on and Though the Cholo Punk Rock Cover Band Plays on, ya Gotta Check Out the Disbanded @cadillactrampsdocumentary Now on Amazon Prime so You Too Can Witness the Glory and Know the Story Of His Original Band of OutCasts and Sober lOCos!!! The Last Time The Tramps Played @punkrockbowling Along With Manic, as the Latter Played Every Year for the Awards Party, I Was Able yo Sneak in to the Soundcheck. Gabby Was the First Person to Walk up to me and I Thought he Was Gonna Ask What the Fuck I Was Doing Standing Against the Wall Chilling Like I Belonged There, But Instead he Asked if I Had Any Gum. Luckily I Had Some and Casually Handed Him a Piece. Immediately the Band’s Tour Manager Whose Initials Are KM, Swooped on me and Demanded to See What I Handed to Gabby, Sounds Crazy, But if You Knew These Two and Their Incredible Stories Of Recovery, You’d Get the Reasoning Right Away. Best Part is I Later Was Made Aware Of the Fact That Those Same Initials Written on the Right Hand With a Sharpie Were Used to Get the Band Members in to the Show That Night and Of Course I Took Advantage. Another Year at PRB When Manic Played Beauty Bar I Was Not Able to Sneak in so Easily, so Instead I Went Around Back to the Infamous Alley Just After @efbystereo Pushed Open the Gate to Let People in. Missed it Again and Was Bummed But Punks Were Actually Pitting in the Alley and Making the Most Of it. So I Joined in and Then Started Hitting Up a Dumpster With a Quick Tag Just as Gabby Started Calling me Out From the Stage and @oc_gilbert Flashed a Light on me. Clearly You Can See I’m Not Much For Criminal Activity and the Sober Life is Probably Going to Continue to be the Best Choice for Me Love You Gabster, May Your Soul Rest Peacefully and my Heart Goes Out to Presley Gaborno and the Family/Friends Of a Legendary Human Being. Punk Legend Steve Soto Of The Adolescents Has Passed Away At Age 54

Steve Soto, whose name and music are synonymous with original California Hardcore Punk Rock has passed away. He was 54. No cause of death has been reported as of this time. Steve was a founding member of Agent Orange but rose to fame when he founded The Adolescents, and later appeared in a plethora of other bands, notably Manic Hispanic. Steve was a gifted multi-instrumentalist, dear friend to many, and scene booster, supporting many bands by booking shows for decades in and around Orange County, CA. The band played earlier this spring at Travis Barker's MusINK Festival, and they had just concluded a headline tour in Boston on June 24th and were preparing to release a new album, Cropduster. The band was due to head out on a summer European tour next week.
