As wildly funny as the Marazhai Branding Uno-Reverse scene is, it's also confusing as hell because that's just not how shit works (ain't no fucking way you can sear a complex insignia into somebody in a few seconds with a knife that's been heated by a candle, no less), which, you know, is fine because the narrative point of the scene isn't the logistics of branding, the point is properly playing your role in Marazhai's ever-constant D/s soap opera. That being said, Ana-Dimitri's equivalent power play where she corners him on the bridge, injects him with some kind of funky ass experimental nerve accelerator she got from Governor Vyatt, and spends hours painstakingly and skillfully scarifying him whilst making everyone else on the bridge crazy uncomfortable (except for Jocasta and Tervantias*, of course) (Abelard is hiding his abject horror behind blustery complaints about the bridge being an unsanitary location) (he's right, of course, but I think that's the least of any drukhari's problems. have you seen Commorragh. not exactly a sterile environment) is also pretty neat, I think.

*Speaking of Uno-Reverses. Ask him how he likes being physiologically collared by whatever freaky Warp abomination Anadima wrapped around his proverbial brainstem. One thing about Anadima, anything you can do she can do better. Except have any sort of chill. She can't do that.
