Miguel O’Hara x spider-person!reader
Summary: Reader returns to the web of life after a run in with another spider person. Miguel of course isn’t too happy to hear about them interfering with other dimensions.
Warnings: smut- slutty smut | Miguel using his fangs and Talons to tease | Backshots? 🫶 | A little degrading | Choking | Kinda fluffy ig? | Miguel might be outta character but whatever

She gulped, hands fiddling with one another as she walked through the twisting cavern where all of the other spider people resided. She knew she had screwed up, but she wasn’t about to let someone punch her and get away with it. Even if it may or may not have screwed up a timeline or two. Typically she’d find a way to avoid such a thing, or at least fix it. But this time, he had found out before she could do anything.
It’s not as though she didn’t like Miguel. In fact, the two had flirted once or twice. But it would seem their little fling was merely that. A fling. Which is why she was expecting a harsh lecture from the man.
She entered the lab he stayed in, the bright red, blue, and yellow lights beginning to overstimulate her eyes. Yet the large dark figure standing amongst it all is what kept her attention. “How many times do I have tell you?—“ He turned around, the lenses of his mask narrowing as he glared down at her. “You don’t go off without back up. Now you’ve gone and messed everything up Y/N.” He wasn’t wrong, and she knew it. That was why his words irritated her so. Her brows knitted, her twisting into a frown as she spoke up.
“You go out without backup all of the time Miguel. So how is this any different.” Her snarky comment seemed to do something to the Spider-Man, because he now found himself curling his hands open and closed as he inches closer to her. “Is that your excuse Y/N?” His curt response didn’t come as any shock to her, and all she could seem to do was shake her head and cross her arms. “That’s what I thought.”
That little comment only added more fuel to the fire. Her eyes narrowed beneath her mask, her arms unfolding as she turned around and began to walk away. She wouldn’t listen to his idiotic comments. Not today. Instead she attempted to excuse herself before she said anything she would regret. Although it would seem to be too late for that. In an instant she found her body being pushed against a cluttered desk, her cheek smushed against the cool metal. Her wrists were pinned beside her head, large firm hands grasping each. “Miggy— what the hell are you doing?”
“I’m getting sick of that attitude Y/N. Always rolling your eyes and making stupid jokes.” She jolted, the soft graze of a needle drawing her attention. Except, it wasn’t a needle. It was the small talons on his finger tips gently pricking at her suit. The odd feeling brought an even odder feeling within her stomach. And soon she found herself trying to look back at Miguel who was currently teasing at her shoulder blades with his fangs. They were sharp and prickled her back in just the right way. “Miggy..” She sputtered as her back arched, hips curving up in an attempt to get even the tiniest bit of friction. “Sit still.” Was all she received.
His hands traveled down her body, slowly trailing down her back, following the slight curve of her spine until finally his hands remained firm on her ass. His thumbs grazed over her bottom, squeezing and fondling as his kisses along her back trailed down. “Oh crap—“ Cool air slipped into her suit as the crotch area was torn through the middle and something warm intruded. Miguel’s finger rubbed circles around her sensitive area, the soft fabric of her panties drawing a chuckle from him. “So quick with comebacks, and now you’re wiggling your hips for me like a slut. How cute.” The sarcasm in his voice almost made her tell him to shut up, but his tongue interrupted before she could get another word out. The warmth of his tongue felt unfamiliar, as did the resounding slap that echoed through the place. Her ass stung, a whine leaving her as his thumb rubbed circles around the stricken area. “You’ll be fine.” He grumbled before he began to lap at her cunt. His tongue worked at her clit, licking and slurping lazily. And while he wasn’t even trying, she found herself humming softly at his touch. He continued to lap at her while using his hands to keep her in place. “Damnit wait-“
For once Miguel actually listened. His tongue no longer pressed pleasantly against her body, and he instead stood from his knees. “I didn’t mean literally- I just-“
Smack
A yelp of surprise bounced off the walls, her head lifting as Miguel’s hand remained stuck to her behind. A small smile was on his lips, the lenses of his mask narrowing ever so slightly. She knew that look. Miguel lifted one of her legs, hoisting it onto the table so that one leg was up and the other supported her. The bottom half of his suit was pushed down to his upper thighs, his happy trail peeking beneath the upper half of his suit. His meaty thighs flexed as he moved himself closer, and that’s when she felt the soft tip of his cock. It rutted against the side of her thigh, precum sticking to her skin as his hands found the small of her back. “Keep your legs spread like that. It might be a tight fit.”
-
“Miggy please! I can’t-“ Papers that had previously been on the metal desk were low strewn about, littering the floor. Her cheek was pressed against the desk, Miguel’s hand tangling in her hair as his heavy thrusts drew a moan from her each time. She could hear his hot breaths, and feel the way his abs flexed against her back as he leaned against her. Miguel’s fangs pricked at the top of her ear, his harsh pants making her clit throb. His hand that wasn’t occupied with her hair came down to squeeze at her curves, just as her pretty cunt squeezed perfectly at his cock. She gushed around him, squelches filling the room as he continued to pound into her.
Miguel was growing rougher, needier. He slipped his cock out and lifted her from the desk. Her feet met the floor, shaky and uneasy. “Spread your legs a little more. I won’t fit if you don’t.” He demanded as he kicked her legs apart a bit more. His hands returned to her body, one finding her neck while the other rested on her lower abdomen. “God, I was hoping you’d act like a bitch so I could’ve fucked that attitude out of you..but seeing how you melt for me..” His cock slipped back in, his hand trailing down from her stomach to her clit. He gave it the occasional rub, synchronizing it with every thrust. The act only drew more moans from her, her head lulling back onto his chest. “If you keep groaning like that I might cum mi amor..” His words, while a warning, only lured her in. She began to roll her hips as best she could, the friction causing Miguel’s breath to hitch. “Fuck you’re really are my slut huh? Cmere.”
His hips fucked into hers, the resounding slaps of skin being drowned out by their moans and groans. His cock throbbed inside of her as her orgasm caused her to tighten up. “Oh crap miggy…” She cursed under her breath. “Yeah I know baby..” He responded as his lips found hers, a slow sensual kiss ensuing. His finger swirled at her clit as he slipped his cock out, now fucking her thighs instead. The combined stimulation had her hunching over, her legs shaking as her orgasm crashed over her. “Y/N you’re spilling all over..fuck me.” Miguel groaned out, his head falling back as he bit back a moan. With his jaw clenched tight and sweat sheening his forehead, he came. Spurts of white decorated the messy desk, along with Y/Ns spider suit.
“Well fuck..if I would’ve known that was all it took to get you to fuck me then damn..” She chuckled breathily, her hands grasping at the desk as she attempted to steady herself.
“Shush, don’t ruin the moment..” Miguel placed a gentle kiss on the side of her neck, a groan leaving him as he wrapped his arms around her torso. “You’re still in trouble.”

THE GERUDO POST
(aka an attempt at a critique of how gerudos were handled in BotW and before)
Tumblr media
Oh no. TOTK being right around the corner, it might finally be time for the Gerudo Post.
(aka half of the reason why I made a Zelda sideblog in the first place)
So I want to preface all of this by saying that, as you could probably tell already, I’ve always adored the gerudos. They have fascinated my small child brain when I was 7; then the obsession made its comeback when I was 14, and now, here we are, almost 28, and I’m still thinking about the gerudos. I think they might be among my favorite fictional cultures for their potential and their understated storyline. I guess growing up in a very Arabic neighborhood, coupled with being bi-culturally latinx (?? does Brazil count?? you tell me), also always made them feel like home to me –especially when I was very young and there was not a lot of cool female representation flying around that managed to involve fiercely independent PoC women, flaws and teeth included.
This whole weird-essay-thing tries to do two things. First: analyze the place gerudos have occupied in the series, their initial problematisms and their subtextual narrative arc during the Myth Era coupled with their relationship to Ganondorf. Second: tiptoe to Breath of the Wild and poke it with a stick to see what happens –and in doing that, explain why I believe a lot of their characterization was defanged in service of smoothing their past with the hylians instead of deepening the culture on its own terms, and why I’m a little apprehensive about what that might mean for TotK even though I adore seeing the best girls at it again.
Those are the uhh terms of service??
And now, we must go back to 1998.
Tumblr media
OCARINA OF TIME ERA
There’s so many things about the gerudos that are noteworthy and rich, and they’ve made for a complex piece of Zelda lore ever since their introduction –and when I say complex, I don’t 100% mean it as praise. The very racially charged decisions made about their inclusion have been discussed at length by the fandom, especially when it comes to orientalist and Islamophobic tropes being deployed pretty thoughtlessly in Ocarina of Time (their sigil being literally a crescent moon and star originally, the parallels are pretty obviously there).
We’re talking about a band of amazon-like, big-nosed brown women from the desert ruled by a single Scary Evil Man born once every hundred years hellbent on conquering Hyrule who they apparently worship like a god, characterized primarily as thieves, decked in jewelry and orientalist-inspired harem/belly-dancing clothing, hostile to the white good guys of Hyrule (especially men), unblessed by the Goddesses and so deprived of elongated ears (this is true for OoT –we’ll come back to that), also known as a demon tribe with their deity straight-out described as evil-looking by Navi (on my way to cancel you on twitter Navi you watch out), and secretly led by evil twin witches who can turn into a single seductress and, as two mothers, raised their Scary Evil Guy king who happens to basically be the devil.
In so few words, gerudos are the future that liberals want.
Tumblr media
It’s worth notice, also, that Ganondorf’s characterization in this game is… kind of relentlessly uncomfortable to play through, especially before the 7 year skip. The utter assumption of depraved and evil intents from every character surrounded by dialogue that does little to hide its biases in spite of having generally very little proof to back them up –even though, in the game’s context, every character is correct to call his eyes evil and the darkness of his skin a moral judgment in on itself. The scene where Zelda demands that we believe her conclusion that the sole and only brown guy in the entire kingdom is evil and will do harm, and the game straight out refuses to progress until we concede that her dreams are prophetic and that this man must be stopped at any cost even though she has no more proof than her discomfort… hits different on replay.
I’m restating all of this not to pretend I’m making a novel and thought-provoking point, but to bounce back on a tumblr post I saw a while back (that I can’t find anymore!! I’ll link it if I find it again) –and so express what it is that gripped me with the gerudos in spite of their pretty damning depiction… and actually maybe thanks to it.
There’s a surprising amount of texture to Ocarina of Time’s worldbuilding that exists folded within the things introduced and left hanging, or in its subtext –and whether on purpose or not, I believe it is why people keep coming back to this iteration of Hyrule.
What was that about the king of Hyrule unifying a war-torn country? Why did the gerudos break the bridge connecting them to the rest of the kingdom during the 7 year timeskip while still worshiping Ganondorf, and why are the carpenters trying to rebuild it against their apparent wishes? What was that about gerudos imprisoning hylian men trying to force entry into their lands? What was that about the secret death torture chambers right next to the Royal Family’s tomb and connected to the race of people who were, apparently, born to serve them?
Nothing? Oh okay… okay… okay….
Tumblr media
The same can be said about this strange depiction of this hostile tribe, consistently described as wicked yet suddenly friendly once you prove you deserve their respect once you... defeat them, so you now have joined them? Ocarina of Time isn’t very consistent when it comes to characterizing them as their occupation (thieves) or as a proper culture, with a king and a strange system of rulership that seem to involve at least 5 people: Ganondorf, the Twinrova, Nabooru and the unnamed random woman who decides you’re now part of the gerudos because you slashed enough of them with your sword and hookshot, which, uhh ok.
They’re but a ragtag and negligible group when discussed next to gorons and zoras and hylians, but they also clearly have their own religion and at least a 400-hundred years old history (probably far longer than this) and hints of a written language of their own. I’m not sure the game itself knows what it wants them to be, beyond: intimidating and hot and cool, but also wicked and, because of Ganondorf and the way you barge in their forbidden fortress (heh) with the explicit intent to dismantle their king, in apparent need to be saved from themselves.
Speaking of rulership and the Spirit Temple, let’s have a quick tangent about Nabooru: I always found her characterization when meeting with Child Link pretty strange. I refuse to mention the promised reward, which feeds into everything orientalist mentioned above, but I always found her moral compass so extremely convoluted for someone coming from gerudo culture. Nabooru says that, despite being a cool thief herself, she resents Ganondorf for killing people as well as stealing from women and children. Stealing... from women. Nabooru. Why are you this pressed that he steals from women!!! This feels so out of place, that the only girl of that hostile culture that betrays her king and befriends you, is the one that upholds moral values that only a hylian could possibly hold.
Either way: the strange unquestioned contempt of the game for them as a culture, mixed with the occasional bouts of heart, friendliness and badassery, makes it hard not to consider their depiction as pretty biased in favor of the hylians finding them at once exotic, scary and exciting, and could hide a more complex reality you might only get one side of –especially when you know there were originally plans for Ganondorf’s character to be more gray and motivated than what the campy final version ended up being. To be blunt: even in the context of a game for children, and maybe because of that fact, it all reads like a reductionist and imperialist/colonialist reading of a more complex situation.
This might seem like A Lot coming from a game where the actual game writing can be this overall flimsy and simplistic due to the standards of the time (it’s rough, it's so rough). But I would have never dwelt on that thought about a little children’s game if not for the mainline entries that came soon after, because... ooo boy.
The sense you’re not getting the whole story was certainly not helped by the introduction of Wind Waker Ganondorf, and the chilling emptiness of Gerudo Desert in Twilight Princess.
Tumblr media
AFTER THE TIMELINE SPLIT
(I’m skipping Majora’s Mask, not because I dislike them in the game or think they’re not worth talking about, but because it’s a parallel universe and they’re never even called gerudos and their reality seems extremely different from their sisters in Hyrule so I think it’s okay to call them tangential and not dive too deep in this particular depiction)
Here’s something I want to highlight about gerudos and how they were characterized before BotW came along: their absence. Not only their physical absence, the lack of any gerudo character that calls themselves gerudo, but their absence from the text itself.
It’s not that Wind Waker and Twilight Princess retroactively scratch them off existence: we can clearly see Nabooru’s stained glass art in WW as well as recognize them being mentioned in Ganondorf’s final boss soliloquy, and WELL there’s quite a lot to say about their imprint over the world of TP. They are there –or at least they... were there. But nobody ever talks about what happened.
In Wind Waker, there was the deluge. It’s assumed lots of people died then, and those who survived scattered across the Great Sea. Are they sealed under the waves? Have they drowned? Is Jolene, Linebeck’s ex-girlfriend in Phantom Hourglass, a distant relative of one of the rare survivors? It’s unclear, beyond the fact that Ganondorf is the only living gerudo we see in this entire branch of the Timeline split.
In Twilight Princess, the desert which bares their name is empty. The hylians never mention that it used to be the name of a tribe: they’re not even named when Ganondorf is introduced for the first time, reduced once again to a mere band of thieves. We learn his plans to steal the Triforce in OoT were foiled, and that he may have turned to war. Then he lost the war, and was executed in Arbiter’s Ground: a strange structure in the desert, a mixture between a temple, a prison and a coliseum. What looks like gerudo writing coexists with hylian symbols, which often look much fresher. This dungeon is the Shadow Temple of TP: a prison hosting the worst criminals the kingdom has ever known, now haunted and cursed. Besides the locations, the only character that vaguely look gerudo in the entire game besides Ganondorf is Telma, a character with pointed ears that never seems to identify as anything but a hylian. What happened? Who’s to say. Nobody ever says anything. Not even Ganondorf bothers to mention them the way he did in WW –and though the game’s story is quite focused on another exiled tribe seeking revenge and dominion over Hyrule as retribution, the parallel is never explicitly drawn. So who’s to say what happened there. Who’s to say.
And in A Link to the Past and the games forward? The only mention of other gerudo characters are Koume and Kotake, resurrecting their son in the Oracles games through their own sacrifice and failing to bring anything back but a monstrosity incapable of making conscious decisions. Granted, most games in that extremely weird Fallen Timeline predate OoT and therefore had yet to make gerudos up at all. Still: canonically, between the gap of OoT and ALLTP, whatever it may be, gerudos disappeared here as well.
Tumblr media
I think there’s something subtle and a little heartbreaking about the fact that no matter what Ganondorf does, the gerudos always end up dying out. His yearning for Hyrule, its gentler wind and the Triforce blessing its lands always costs him the kingdom that he does have already.
Now, does he care? A lot of people would argue that he doesn’t, that he used them like pawns for his own ambition and saw them as servants more-so than sisters, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Nintendo’s official opinion, but… One very powerful thing about most of Ganondorf’s incarnations (focusing on the human ones) is that he never seems to reject his cultural heritage. They could have gone for him wearing more kingly hylian stuff given the whole underlying theme of envy and pride surrounding his character, but never once does he try to look more hylian, beyond the ear situation that seems to be tied to the Triforce of Power? Either way: he is gerudo. Several of his outfits reference his mothers, as well as general gerudo patterning and jewelry. His heritage is something he proudly displays, even hundred of years in the future when there is no one left to remember what it means but him. I think it’s a very potent piece of characterization, an arc that crosses over multiple game and says something pretty intense about this character’s fate and his inherent destructiveness over the things he touches –starting with the Triforce, all the way up to his very own body and mind. His mental breakdown by the end of Wind Waker, when the king of Hyrule himself forces him to give up on the thing he sacrificed everything for, takes a new kind of weight with the whole picture taken into account.
(not to excuse genocide or general egomania-fueled madness and violence, but one thing doesn’t mean the other isn’t also relevant)
Tumblr media
Regardless of whether this is a tragedy for Ganondorf as their uhh complete failure of a king, honestly, it is undeniably a tragedy for the gerudos themselves: a once-in-a-lifetime joyful event turned into a never-ending nightmare from which there seems to be no escape, their legacy now condemned to fade to black, leaving nothing behind but a demon boar forever laying ruin upon the world.
One may say I’m taking on the bleakest explication for the gerudos’ absence when there could be others. It’s true! Perhaps the gerudos are just chilling off-screen, completely fine, not interested in whatever is happening in the kingdom nearby and their disaster child having yet another temper tantrum about not being the Goddesses’ favorite boy. It’s possible! But regardless, what little elements we do possess as players doesn’t seem to support this, even if it remains possible –and regardless of actual gerudo lives, gerudo culture is definitively a goner in every single timeline.
Even if they did survive... Hyrule still won its unification war.
(I won’t mention Skyward Sword as they are not really a thing there, except for a butterfly that seems to suggest the Gerudo Province was a thing before the gerudo people –I don’t know what to do with this honestly– and the whole Groose situation, which, I’m not sure what to make of either beyond the fact that he may have gotten cursed by opposing Demise? And then went on to start the gerudo tribe, which ended up being an all-women group for some reason? Maybe? It’s not confirmed? I feel like it’s more of a fun tidbit than a central piece of the gerudo puzzle, so I’ll leave it there like I would a cool rock I brought back from a walk and that I don’t know where to put in my house)
Then, Breath of the Wild happened and changed things.
Tumblr media
BREATH OF THE WILD
(Additional short note, but: while I won’t mention Four Swords Adventure, since it’s a weird one that almost nobody has played and severely messes with the Timeline, we kind of see the beginnings of what is about to happen in Breath of the Wild in this game –gerudos coming back without much explanation, then distancing themselves from Ganondorf to become friends with hylians because he was too hungry for power and now they are nice and have good reputation because they are our friendsss)
I was actually so happy to learn gerudos were making a comeback in a mainline Zelda game, and this got me more excited about Breath of the Wild than basically anything else the game involved. And getting to explore the Desert once again, meeting this new batch of impossibly tall buff girls, getting more about their language and their culture, Riju and the rest of the little girls are adorable, the grandmas are so cool, the sand seals??? sign me the fuck up??? And above it all, hanging around Gerudo Town at night and feeling as warm and cozy as little me liked to imagine how freeing it would feel, to stay there and watch the desert behind the safety of their walls in OoT… This was great. I loved it.
It was a huge compensation for the criticism I’m about to make, but did leave me with… questions regarding how their culture was going to be handled moving forward.
I’ll start with something small yet deeply revelatory, then work my way from there.
So... gerudos’ ears are pointy now.
Tumblr media
This is pretty significant. Lore-wise, it’s been said that the elongated ears of hylians are there so they can better hear the voices of the gods. It’s considered a sign of holiness in-universe. There's a bunch of really thoughtful analysis on tumblr over that whole Ganondorf ear situation, which is a mess but also very interesting, but the short answer is: I think the absence of pointy ears was a clear design choice to originally signify them as Less Good. Even when Ganondorf gets pointier ears, they never get as long as hylians’. Worth noting: not every non-gerudo character has pointy ears: gorons, zoras and ritos (among others) do not possess this trait, and there are even some humans that have regular rounded ears in the series –though they always seem to be of lesser relevance, if not downright peasants in Twilight Princess. Pointy ears always tended to implied a strict hierarchy in the series: basically, the more pointy, the more Protagonist you become.
(also their eyes becoming green instead of the traditional yellow/golden, which looks more wicked and demonic --and cooler also tbh)
The pointy ears imply two things. From within the game, this could be interpreted in two ways: either that gerudos… converted, for a lack of a better term, and are now considered holy through their worship of the Golden Goddesses and/or Hylia, or that their mingling with hylians through tens of thousands of years had them acquiring this trait out of sheer genetic override (though they have kept their mostly-women birth rates, their big nose, darker skin –for the most part– and red hair). Probably a healthy mixture of both. Design-wise, it signifies something quite simple to the player: they are on hylians’ side now. They are good guys. We can trust them, even if they still have a little spice in them. They aligned themselves with us and against Ganon in all of its manifestations (even if he’s but an angry ghastly pig being parasitic to everything it touches in this iteration). They are on the side of Good, definitively, and will fight evil by our side.
On that note, I think it’s worth bringing out another major change from their initial iteration, which is their overt friendship with Hyrule as a whole, and with the Royal Family in particular. Despite not allowing any voe inside their walls (we’ll come back to this), their relationship with hylians is pretty neat. They have booming trade roads, travel and meet with the rest of the cultures, and are fierce enemies with the Yiga clan, who are renowned for being huge Calamity Ganon supporters. The tables certainly have turned. I want to bring out, in particular, Urbosa’s friendship with the queen and her role as the cool aunt taking care of Zelda and protecting her from evil (to be noted: I am not familiar with Age of Calamity so if I’m mischaracterizing her in any way, please let me know). The gerudo sense of sisterhood has been extended to the royals they used to fight against. I would go on and say the cultures peacefully coexist, but I think that what we’re looking at here is a case of vassal behavior, just like we used to have from zoras (in the non-Fallen Timelines) and gorons. This is a huge departure from gerudos being openly rejecting of Hylian culture in their initial iteration, and something that is worth returning to later.
Tumblr media
Okay. Now it’s time to mention the weird obsession BotW gerudos have with romance. I didn’t take notice of my issues with their writing until I realized how prevalent of a theme that was. Now, the reason given for gerudos to refuse entry to males (of every race) has much more to do with preventing young gerudos to make mistakes than anything else, and is actively being put into question by the younger generations –which would make sense. But the amount of NPCs that either lament their lack of match, talk about their husbands (because they marry now apparently) or are invested in romance, and a very limited understanding of romance at that (heterosexual, closed, etc), makes for much more of the population that I initially expected. There’s no mention of what’s going on with their males, if there are new males being born and either exiled or abandoned, or if Ganondorf being technically still alive have have cut them off male heirs. Either way: no more kings, only girlbosses chiefs.
To have the gerudos so interconnected with Hyrule, not only through trade but through extremely coded romance where they have to make themselves palatable to a future male partner and enforce fidelity, was… a choice. The extremely brief and skippable mention of gerudos sometimes going to Castle Town in search for boyfriends in OoT became half of their personality traits in this game. We went from a race that was fiercely independent and mocking of the unworthy men who tried to mingle with them, to… this. Now I’m not saying some of the sidequests aren’t cute, or that I didn’t like the wedding, or that the grandma near the abandoned statue of Hylia (so she was worshipped at some point) clocking us and talking about her love life wasn’t one of my favorite gerudo conversations. I’m saying that the vibes have definitively changed. For the better? I’m not sure.
Tumblr media
I once stumbled upon an article that said that Breath of the Wild gerudos were a huge improvement compared to their original introduction, because they were no longer presented as evil and hostile thieves groveling at the boot of a single man, but as a full culture allied with the protagonist and actively involved in the story, while still getting their Cool Girl Badass moment (again can’t find it anymore, I’ll link it if I stumble upon it again). I see where this comes from, but I honestly can’t help but consider it a reading that assumes something pretty major (though through no fault of their own, as the games tend to hammer this down as hard as they can), and that being hylians as the unquestioned anchor of Good.
Which, in spite of what the games want me to believe, I… feel uncomfortable taking at face value.
To me, regarding how gerudos are being incorporated in that goodie narrative, this is kind of a case of surface-level feminism trumping over colonialist/imperialist concerns. It becomes more important to perform the aesthetics of being cool and friendly and independent than scratching at any deeper problem that would risk making people uncomfortable. This is kind of Green Skin Ganon all over again: oh wait, isn’t it a little icky to have the evil bad guy being brown while faced by the most aryan-looking ass heroes of all time? Okay, then let’s take the brown guy and make his skin green so we don’t have to feel bad anymore that the conflict has racial undertones!! Solved!! There’s nothing questionable about changing a PoC's features to make it more monstrous and less human, right?
To me, it’s kind of the coward option: instead of accepting the messy reality those initial choices created (and their interesting nuances if taken at face value), let’s just… rewrite the PoC culture’s history to make it feel less uncomfortable for the white heroes. In many ways, it is an extension of what hylians have always done: scrubbing the weird and messy things about the past and shoving them deep down into the spooky well and far into the desert prison and away in alternate hellish dimensions, and then make up a very simple story where they get to feel good about themselves –except this time, it’s the fabric of the games, the literal reality, bending backward to make it happen. Which, in my opinion, makes it much worse than before. Now, there’s no conversation. The fabric of reality is changing their own history so that there is nothing to discuss anymore. Ganondorf was always evil incarnate. He never had any point. It was always 100% his own fault, his own hubris, his own fated wickedness. He was always demonic (and green, very important –having a flashback to people on twitter accusing artists restoring the TotK green skin to the original brown of wanting to make Ganondorf black, and like….. how do I put it gently…..)
And, above all else: gerudo are to distance themselves from his legacy so they can stay in the club of the Good and Just and Holy.
Tumblr media
Because here’s the messy thing: as much as I love seeing the gerudos again in Breath of the Wild and as much I love for them to have survived the Era of Myth (??? somehow ???), this… kind of changes Ganondorf’s character arc. No longer do we have the story of a king who wanted more, either for his people, for himself or both, and led his culture to its destruction in his search for absolute Power, while remaining ironically incapable of maintaining what little he already had. This starts from him kneeling to the king of Hyrule in OoT and leads to the deluge, Arbiter’s Ground, his own mothers dying for the sake of his failed resurrection. Breath of the Wild changes this: now, the gerudo were apparently fine without him? They apparently did their own thing and became suddenly and inexplicably disconnected from his actions? I know it’s kind of implied they side with hylians at the end of OoT, but it’s honestly never really explored why they would cheer for the death of their king while never seeming to resent him before except for Nabooru –there are mentions of brainwashing for those who resist him (as well as “other groups in the desert”, tho they are never mentioned again), but it’s hardly a proper plot point for the majority of the tribe, aaaand they still die by Wind Waker in the Adult Timeline, in spite of their potential alliegance…
(again, this shift towards submitting to Hyrule actually started with Four Swords Adventure, getting crisper with each iteration)
There used to be this polite blur regarding Ganondorf’s relationship to them, how much he used them and how much he acted in their name (with arguments for both sides), and I think this messy and debatable question mark was one of the most compelling aspects of his character. Gerudos rejecting their relationship at a near-cosmic, reality-bending level, removes a huge layer of complexity to both parties… all for the benefit of making hylians come out cleaner out of this whole exchange, their moral grayness barely a whisper in the distance.
I’ll kind of go on the record and say that I suspect the addition of Demise to the canon to serve a similar purpose (at least in part): if Ganondorf becomes but the manifestation of a demonic curse, and is no longer an extremely messy character brimming with agency and drive, forcing the heavens to reckon with said agency in a way he was never meant to access, born from a complex set of circumstances from which we clearly get only a limited and biased perspective, then it becomes extremely clear that he’s a Bad in a way that isn’t worth exploring further. Even if he does have some points, he is a Bad. It’s what matters most. Not to say I even hate what this angle can bring to the table or that I want him to become Good (I don’t –I’ll talk more about why I dislike most takes on him being a helpless victim to the curse), but once again, who benefits from adding another Unquestionned Baddie to the equation to rest upon? Not him, and not the gerudos, that’s for sure.
Tumblr media
So. Why did I, me, personally, like the gerudos in the first place?
Beyond the inherent coolness factor of their culture and the fascinating mysteries of what is merely suggested, I think… I think I loved gerudos because we were obvious outsiders. Because their rejection of Hylian culture was so sharp and extreme, their value system so different, and their writing, their religion, their relationship to power and hierarchy and worth wanted nothing to do with hylians. They didn’t need hylians, beyond them having potential resources to steal. In fact, the threat of hylians influencing their culture was such that the entry to the Fortress was forbidden to everyone (I don’t think men were ever singled out, by the way, even though they are mocked relentlessly). I think there was something inherently hopeful about this semi-matriarchy resisting the outside world, and especially its notions of what girls were meant to be –it was 1998, and every other girl character in OoT, besides Impa and Sheik that?? is another can of worms entirely, is either helpless or someone to save. For them to reject this narrow vision of femininity was, in my opinion, much more radical than what we got in BotW. Less nuanced, more problematic perhaps? But also much more powerful. Gerudo Valley is home, not to a town, but a Fortress.
Hylians were worth being resisted.
In Breath of the Wild, their refusal to let men enter their town is kind of boiled down to a fading tradition over-focused on romance, a meek little game of chase. Their entire goal seems to be finding a hylian to settle down with. Say what you will about the single man and the many girls (never explored and completely open-ended in its implications, btw), but at least it wasn’t… that. At least it opened the way for different ways for people to exist and imagine culture and civilization, outside of the heterosexual couple, the christian-infused patriarchy and its trickling down implications. What I want to say is: let my girls tell hylians they ain’t shit!! That they aren’t the end all be all of reality! This is what made gerudos so compelling in the first place! Where is that bite now? Where is that self-definition?
It’s gone, because hylians need to be Good. So we tee-hee at the creep running laps around the town, we disguise ourselves to breach their trust and infiltrate their town (though there is nuance to be had there, gender be complicated etc), we watch them pine after shitty dudes and take classes to become the perfect approachable woman and make love soups with ?? strange ingredients honestly, and we witness them get very friendly with the Royal Family they used to conspire against, dying to protect the princess against the manifestation of their ancient king reduced to a raving puddle of Bad Boar.
Hyrule, unified against him.
Tumblr media
TEARS OF THE KINGDOM
For posterity’s sake: this post was made before the game was released. I’ll probably update my thoughts on a separate thing later on.
I don’t think gerudos allying with the hylians and burying their own legends about Ganondorf as deeply underground as they can until it blows up in their face is a bad setup at all. It’s actually pretty juicy, and there’s a ton of fascinating stuff that could happen here –even some involving gerudos taking a firm stand against him while still reconnecting with their past and the choices they made once. This is my hope with the title of the game: Tears of the Kingdoms. Let’s examine them all, account for the damage, and decide how we move forward from there with the full knowledge of where we come from.
What I am afraid of (and I already made posts about that) is the scenario where gerudos rallying against Ganondorf, which I expect will forcefully try to take back his place as their king, is used for cheap feminist points that completely fail to examine, well. Everything mentioned above. Where reality bends itself out of the way of the Goddesses, and hylians’ responsibility in any of this mess, so that everything bad is 100% Ganon’s fault and so he must be cast aside and torn away from the Cool Gerudo Girls and this is 100% justified and deserved because we are Independent Women Who Take No Shit from No Men (unless they are the king of Hyrule or any random hylian they wish to marry apparently).
I’ll say this here because it’s been burning my mouth every time I see discourse about Ganondorf and the gerudo: gerudos declared him as their king. To make a really bad comparison that I dislike: he didn’t run around to assemble girls and make a cult around himself, he was born with the cult already formed around him (and it’s not a cult, it’s just a different mode of governance –hylians also revere the Royal Family like gods, don’t they?). This heavily changes the dynamics at play. Not to remove any agency from him to do a little invasion about it, but chances are the ancestors to BotW’s gerudos fully expected him to behave in this way, at least to a degree –in OoT you see very plainly that they value physical prowess, feats of thievery, witchcraft and general violence. It’s more complicated than him being a Bad and making the poor helpless women go along with the plan uwu –even taking the brainwashing into account, AND Koume and Kotake counting as gerudos too, even if they might not be not fully innocent in shaping the culture and the man himself. If manipulation and forced servitude is the explanation given, I’ll be genuinely mad –because, once more, all the nuance and messiness would be flattened for the sake of making Ganondorf Bad and the gerudo Good (= on hylians’ side).
It bears to be said: I think feminism stances that require, not to criticize (which is fair), but to fully dehumanize and bestialize men of color to make any sense are uhhh bad, and it's worth questionning who they end up serving in the end.
Tumblr media
The flip side of this would be to make Ganondorf a poor little meow meow that was secretly controlled by the evil Demise all along, and... I’ll be real. I really don’t think it solves our problem at all. It might even make it worse.
My problem with how gerudos have been handled thus far, being mostly connected to how they behave in relation to hylians Good, is that they’ve been systematically defanged not to threaten the status quo as much as they used to. I think it’s pretty clear why I’m not a fan of Ganondorf being a mere victim of cosmic circumstances; I have a post that goes more in depth about this, but to simplify: my man has legitimate grievances. To make him a mere puppet to Evil Incarnate would, to me, be just another attempt to erase the despotism of the Goddesses, the unjust hierarchy of the world, what hylians have historically done to the races they were in conflict with (looking at the Yiga for the most recent example…)
I’m not saying his fight is clean or even legitimate, that he isn't driven by his own sense of self-importance above anything else, or that he should win (he has no plan beyond domination and victory, that's not a future). But I think there’s something really important about having someone being willing to fully consume himself and everything around him for the simple fact that someone should resist the order of the world. Even if that makes him a heartless, cruel, and egomaniac demon-pig. Even if there’s no Hyrule left to rule. Even if his own people despise him, or are long gone and forgotten.
Is it a little heart-wrenching? Uhh yes to me yes most definitively. This is why Wind Waker Ganondorf hits so hard, and remains (I think) his favorite entry in the series so far. But… I still find this fate of eternal resistance more resonant and empowered, and far less grim, than if Hyrule’s lore absorbs his hatred and rage, gives it to another entity that would be Badder (= more opposed to hylians and the goddesses), and scrubs it off anything icky and uncomfortable, rendering it completely domesticated and non-threatening to hylian domination; rubbed of his skin color, of his complexity, of his own emotions, even made... kind of sexy now, in the same way his sisters have been made before him? I am very, very afraid of him being turned from furious and an unapologetic subject in his own legend to a "redeemed" (according to whom??) and palatable object in somebody else’s, that you now end up having to… save from himself.
Again, I want to trust that Tears of the Kingdom can walk that line and preserve everything sharp and contrasting and profound and thrilling about this fascinating setup. I don’t expect a philosophy course, this is a game for children –but it doesn’t mean Nintendo didn’t do an astounding job with similar setups in the past. Again, I’ll invoke the Wind Waker conflict, but Twilight Princess did a lot of great things as well (Zant’s speech, if you can get past the weird stretches and stumping and NNHYAAAs, is pretty fantastic) –and the subtle writing of Majora’s Mask is also proof enough this series can be complex without being impermeable.
So this is where my hope lies. Not really with BotW’s writing, which, I’m sorry to say, but I found to be below what the series has done in the past (I have no problem with the setup and how the story is explored, I think it was a great idea, but wasn’t ever sold on the actual writing the way I may have been with previous titles –it felt… very tropey to me overall, with a couple of highlights). But Nintendo has shown to know how to write compelling stories for children that know where to sprinkle its darkness and how to preserve its hope, and this is this side I’m relying on for this delicate storyline moving forward.
And now? Now… I suppose we wait and see.

(thank you for reading my impossibly long essay what the actual hell, at least I got it all out of my system, see you in part 2 for when TotK comes out I suppose aaa)

HEYY CAN YOU PLEASEEEEE DO A STAN SMUT IF YOURE COMFORTABLE!!!! FEM READER, AND OFC AGED UP! LOVE YOUR WORK
Tumblr media
Stan Marsh x Fem!Reader smut (HCS)
a/n; AHH TYSM FOR THE REQUEST!!! this is my first smut request so it may not be the best, BUT I TRIED. (also hope u don’t mind these are headcanons!!)
CW; nsfw, characters are aged up!!
Tumblr media
• when the topic of sex was first brought up after the two of you had been dating for a while, stan could’ve vomited right then and there
• not because he didn’t like the idea or anything!! in fact, the thought of sex was a definite reoccurring fantasy in his mind
• however he never had the courage (or the stomach) to suggest it to you, he’s always wanted to make sure you would never feel pressured. so he decided to wait until you mentioned it
• but man, he was definitely not prepared for the conversation to actually happen
• probably went all red and tried to play it cool, attempting to make himself seem confident about it. he’d focus on keeping calm, hoping his old habit of throwing up wouldn’t make a comeback
• I imagine stan would have some past experience. possibly from a random fling or an ex, so he isn’t clueless when it comes to sex
• but he wants it to be perfect for you, which is what causes himself to be so nervous
• at first his actions would be kinda awkward, not knowing where to place his hands or at what pace would be most comfortable for you
• constantly checks with you to see if you’re doing okay
“is this good..? can I put my hands here??”
• after some guidance and reassurance, he’d gain his confidence
• once you had sex for the first time, he realised that he wanted it more often afterwards
• stan is definitely a switch, depending on his mood. if he’s feeling lazy then he loves it when you take control, one of his favourite positions is having you on top of him. he adores watching your expressions as you ride him, it’s enough to make him cum right then and there
• however if he’s feeling more dominant, he will flip you onto your back and fuck you until you both are too tired to continue
• this man LOVES praise, if you even mention him doing a good job he gets super hard and has such a goofy lovesick smile on his face
• I don’t think he’s too vocal during sex, maybe grunting occasionally but other than that he’s pretty quiet
• if he has alot of pent up frustration, he will most likely take it out on you and get rougher when fucking you— it’s very noticeable if he starts to degrade/praise you
“you’re so beautiful…”
“fuck.. you’re mine yeah?”
“that’s right, take it like the pretty little whore you are..”
• I feel like it’s always a 50/50 chance with stan and foreplay, sometimes you’d start with a heated makeout session, usually ending with you beneath him on his bed while his hands roam your body
• and then other times foreplay simply doesn’t exist, he just strips you of your clothes and fucks you immediately
• stan also loves to finger you, seeing you squirm and watching your expressions gives him a huge confidence boost knowing that he’s the only one who can make you feel that kind of pleasure
• also deeply appreciates it when you give him a blowjob if he’s ever feeling frustrated or stressed, the best stress reliever is having your mouth wrapped around his cock while he grips onto your hair and his eyes roll back into his head
“just like that... you’re such a good girl for me..”
• aftercare is always a hit and miss, most times he just falls asleep with you in his arms. other times he will help clean you up and probably just do the bare minimum
• the conversations after sex are the best part, stan will always let you know how much he loves you and how well you did— already looking forward to the next time

‘Toru’s Girl
Pairings: Satoru x (Fem!)Reader and Suguru x Satoru x (Fem!) Reader
Rating: Explicit 18+
Warnings: Reader is called girl, and girlfriend but is never physically described (besides having eyes lol), masturbation, possessiveness, mentions of inflicting pain, cursefucker!Suguru, mentions of likening oneself to a monster, Suguru smokes a cigarette, Satoru being an asshat. Space cadet, melodramatic Suguru experiencing a bisexual awakening and a breakdown.
Summary: Reader and Satoru Gojo are a new couple, Suguru Geto finds himself jealous of his friends for more reasons than even he knew. Follow Suguru as he unearths his deeper (darker) feelings for his friends.
Notes: All characters are aged up, it’s Jujutsu Tech College over here y’all. This entire fic is inspired by the shower scene, you know the one. The idea for this fic came to me while listening to this song. While writing it, I also thought of and listened to this song and this song.
Tumblr media
Satoru is his friend. Suguru stood staring himself down in the mirror, having to remind himself. Sobering himself to his situation. The water on his body cooling, having met the air. It beaded up in his hair and rolled down his back. Grounding himself in his reality. His feet were cold on the tile floor of the bathroom. Satoru is his best friend. The only person that has been here for him. Satoru is the only person that’s been able to help him get used to the sorcerer world, this reality. So much has changed and it keeps changing. There’s nothing left to hold on to. Suguru’s awareness came back to the sound of the faucet still on. He watched the water hurdle down the drain. This time the change wasn’t hard to define. But that didn’t make it any easier.
Suguru watched your eyes, they were glued to Satoru. All while Satoru yapped on about some nonsense that probably only you could pretend to stomach. He could see his reflection in your eyes. The way the morning sun showed off the twinkle in your eye, Suguru could tell that not only did you want Satoru, but that you are just as much of a smartass as him. He could see the love, desire, and the smug comeback you had for Satoru all before the words left your lips. Suguru could stay lost in your eyes, if they would ever meet his gaze.
“Hey, man!” Satoru snapped his fingers in Suguru's face. “Are you sleeping enough lately?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Suguru shrugged and leaned back in his seat.
“We’re getting ice cream before I have to do a field assignment today.” Suguru couldn’t tell if you were rubbing it in his face or inviting him to be a third wheel.
“Come with us, get out of your dorm. The rest of your day is gonna be boring anyway.” Satoru’s gorgeous smile was full of teeth that were going to fall out of his head if he continued to let his sweet tooth take charge of his diet. Not that Suguru found himself to be one to talk, he had a collection of unhealthy habits. Maybe that’s what’s left of their humanity.
"I've got something better to do today than rot my teeth with you two.” Suguru lied. “But I'll make time." The smile he faked felt real for a passing moment.
Suguru walked behind you and Satoru on the way to the creamery. He'd gone with Satoru countless times before you started tagging along. So why was he the one "tagging along" now? He watched your hips sway as you walked. It made him sick. He couldn't help but imagine your hips rocking and swaying on his best friend's cock. Satoru's arm around you began to wonder. Groping you in public?! Satoru would be so audacious. The way Satoru's arm fit around you so well left a lonely spot around Suguru. In that moment Suguru wished someone would hold him like that.
You and Gojo split some obscene pile of sugar. Chatting, giggling. You were animated as you talked, it wiggled the booth Suguru was sharing with you. The side of your body rubbed against his. Suguru wanted to plant his hand on your thigh to steady you, to feel you. Suguru questioned if he’d ever find someone like you, or if he’d have to take you. Suguru smirked to himself, he could have you if he wanted to. He fought away the thought. Suguru felt dirty for wanting you so badly. You belonged to Satoru, and as much as Suguru tried to respect that, he couldn’t accept it.
Suguru found himself playing along. Pretending that you and he could share Satoru, that you and he could be just friends. He couldn’t find another way to have both you and Satoru in his life so why change things? He wouldn’t lose his best friend just to have you. Not in his right mind. It was painfully sweet to have the both of you at his side and yet just out of reach. There was no reason to tear down the dynamic you and Satoru had built. You were happy, and Suguru thought he could learn to be. Suguru pulled himself from his thoughts when he noticed the tone of the discussion had changed.
“You mad?” Satoru taunted you. “As far as I can tell, you don’t have an argument.” Satoru winked at you before going back to his side of the sundae milkshake you were sharing with him. Suguru found it hard to tell when the two of you were flirting or arguing.
“Satoru, you shouldn't pick on your girlfriend. You’re hardly hearing her out.” Suguru tutted.
“Who else am I supposed to pick on then? You?” Satoru challenged Suguru, a sugarcoated shiteating grin spread across his face. “Ya think you know how to treat my girlfriend better than me?” Satoru’s words cut deeper than he knew.
“That’s enough.” You put your foot down. “This has nothing to do with what we were debating” You rolled your eyes. “I was enjoying our discussion until you two derailed it. I’m the one who’s going to have to go deal with some cursed spirit later, can we please just have a nice time?” You reached out and touched both their hands. Suguru smiled and his heart fluttered when you smiled back.
“It’s irrelevant that curses exist in context with the regular public, when they can’t even see them. What does it matter that they see us?” Satoru cleared his throat and settled back into the discourse the two of you were having.
Suguru recognized his age-old gotcha question and it was Suguru’s turn to roll his eyes. But he kept his opinions to himself this time. Having already argued that very topic into the ground to no avail, he opted to watch you try your hand at it while enjoying his milkshake.
As the two of you continued to talk at length Suguru couldn’t help but start to compare himself to Satoru, and wonder what exactly it was you saw in his best friend. Satoru is smarter, and very handsome in a different way, but Suguru judged himself to be much more charismatic, polite, and in touch with his emotions. All things Satoru lacked. Satoru is shameless, rude, but admittedly confident. Satoru’s confidence and jovialness were definitely his charms. His unique looks were captivating. Satoru has those gorgeous eyes everyone knows about but Suguru wondered if anyone had seen them as up close and personal as he had. Surely no one else has felt how soft Satoru’s tousled hair is, except maybe he’d have let you. So many things are effortless for Satoru, and the long and lean form of his body accentuates his grace, Satoru has poise when he wants to. Other times he does come off as lanky and awkward, its purposeful Suguru supposes, he does it in an attempt to be humorous. Which Satoru is not so effortless in. Suguru treasures how hard Satoru tries to make him laugh.
Suguru shook his head. He lit a cigarette and sighed out his first draw as he watched you kiss Satoru goodbye. You split away from Suguru and Satoru disappearing into the sea of pedestrians, it was just the two of them now. Walking back to campus together. The heartbeat of nostalgia was flatlined with melancholy. It stung in his chest. The ache of carrying unspoken feelings used the smoke in his lungs to tie a knot in his throat. He felt like his hands had rope burn from holding on to old times.
“You could be here with me right now.” Satoru hinted, a small knowing smile on his face.
“What?” Suguru stammered, only having heard pieces of what Satoru said.
“You’ve been stuck in here more recently.” Satoru jabbed his finger at the side of Suguru’s head. “Don’t beat yourself up about it.” Satoru shrugged.
“No worries.” Smoke trailed from Suguru’s mouth.
“Yeah, because you definitely do all of that for me.” Satoru wrapped an arm around Suguru’s shoulders. “Maybe I could try doing some of the worrying for you.” Satoru offered.
“No, I’m fine.” Suguru instinctually pushed away what was happening as he started to get overwhelmed. Satoru’s eyes wandered behind his heavily tinted glasses. He noticed Suguru’s body language changed into something he didn’t recognize. Timidness? It didn’t suit Suguru at all.
“Then pretend I didn’t say anything.” Satoru sighed. His hand trailed down Suguru’s side. Suguru felt like he was trying to play it cool while a snake wrapped around him. Satoru’s hand settled on Suguru’s hip and Suguru let it stay there.
Suguru’s white knuckle grip clenched the sides of the sink. He thought maybe if he looked hard enough into the eyes of this alternate self standing in front of him that then maybe they could swap places. Maybe then, life would be easier. Life would be different. Why was he here alone in his dorm room? Especially now, when there was a chance in that alternate reality he was peering into, he was in Satoru’s room. No, in this reality he chose to be alone with his spiraling thoughts. What was that? He asked himself for maybe the thousandth time because his feet were too heavy to walk next door and ask Satoru why he did what he did on their walk here. What didn’t you see in him that you saw in Satoru? What did Satoru see in him? A friend? Or something more? How would that make you feel?
Wasn’t love supposed to be what you and Satoru had? Not whatever feeling was happening to Suguru. Still, the more he felt like a monster the closer he felt to finding what this feeling must be. Suguru often liked to think about his feelings. He liked to find the logic in them, to make sense of things, to make things right. He never thought it’d feel so good to feel wrong. Suguru was never one to let go of his senses. There was always a point, always a cause, always a reason. Something deep inside him was calling on him to let go. Maybe Satoru had finally gotten to him? Satoru never had a cause, never stood for anything but himself. Satoru had you because he was selfish enough to claim you as his. What was love if not the jealousy inside Suguru that had grown large enough to eat you both?
Suguru’s hair stuck to the back of his neck. He pulled his hair into a bun to get it off of himself and peeled off his damp shirt. If he kept thinking about you and Satoru he was going to have to shower for the second time today. His thoughts waivered, flickering between lust and intrusive memories of different exorcisms he had performed. What if he could exorcise you like a curse? What would you taste like? What would Satoru taste like? How would Satoru feel inside him? How would it feel for the two of you to be utterly consumed by him?
“Fuck.” Suguru groaned low and breathy when he finally acknowledged how his body was reacting to his thoughts.
Still frozen in the eye of his own storm he could hardly bring himself to move. His hand at his side slowly drifts towards his core. He sighs again as his fist wraps around himself. His hips instinctively rut against his hand. Suguru hisses through his teeth, he opens his eyes he didn’t realize he had closed as he tries to bring back a part of him that isn’t just an animal. He settles against the cold tile wall of the bathroom, tightening his grip when he decides to fully give in to himself.
He pulls himself free of his pants and already beads of precum throb out of him and flow through the spaces between his fingers. His muscles twitch and his breath shakes as he tames himself. He starts a rhythm that’s just steady enough to appease himself. His strokes have a twist to them, like he’s wringing the precum out of himself. He moans, biting his lip hard enough for it to sting.
Maybe Satoru had you, maybe Satoru wanted you, but Suguru needed you. Suguru could feel himself losing who he thought he was. Nothing would make sense anymore without you, without Satoru. That’s why he needed you, why he clung to you. That’s why he’d dig his nails into you until he drew blood, just to hear you scream his name. His cock pulsed in his hand at the thought. He scraped his thumbnail up from the base to the tip, following the engorged vein up his shaft.
The sounds of pleasure bounce off the bathroom walls, echoing around Suguru. He was surrounded by himself in more ways than one. His movements become sloppier, his rhythm increases to a brutal pace, the same way he imagines he’d fuck you. Overpowering, all consuming, a force you’d be powerless against. Suguru could hear you brainlessly begging as he fucked you stupid. He bet Satoru never hurt you, but he would, and you’d love it.
Suguru’s movements became erratic, his chest heaved and his mind raced. He was reaching a fever pitch and balancing on a razor sharp edge. He could feel the ghost of Satoru’s hand on his hip. He could see in his mind Satoru knelt before him. Suguru envisioned you next to him with a look of post-orgasm high kissing up and down his neck, all while your boyfriend Satoru sucked him off. Satoru was so high above everyone. Satoru was unreachable, and untouchable. If Satoru ever stooped down to Suguru’s level, Suguru would make him live to regret it. If it was a fair fight, Suguru would win. If Satoru ever showed a shred of humanity Suguru would crush it between his teeth and revel in the feeling of it oozing down his chin and neck. He’d make Satoru what he knew he was really born to be, the strongest curse of them all.
Suguru’s breathing stuttered at the thought of the two of you becoming curses, and living under his control. The two of you belong to him. A low moan rattled his chest as he came hard. Thick ropes of white cum spurt onto his chest. One lands on his chin, another on his chewed and swollen bottom lip. His tongue lazily swipes it up as he opens his mouth panting to catch his breath. He groans and peels himself off the wall. Leaning forward he turned the faucet handle to start a shower.

translation of voice actor interviews from Bravern BD
Translation of the cast interview featuring Suzuki Ryouta (Isami), Azakami Youhei (Smith), Suzumura Kenichi (Bravern), Aizawa Saya (Lulu) and Sugita Tomokazu (Superbia) from the special booklet included with the first BD release.
this is pretty long so I'm putting it behind a cut.
Suzuki Ryouta (Isami Ao):
Q: Tell us your impressions of the character you play.
You can tell by watching the first episode that I played him as someone who wordlessly takes on the burden of his superior's orders and crushes his enemies with his own power... a cool and stylish soldier. ...nah he wasn't like that at all, was he? During his first real battle, his hands were shaking and he acted like a coward without any courage, and he was forced to shoulder his fate as the pilot fighting against mysterious enemies that appeared all of a sudden. Fighting alongside Smith and Bravern, sometimes clashing with them, and gradually seeing his heart grow stronger, it felt like I too could have an explosion of courage along with him, making him a very fun character.
Q: Tell us about your favorite episode/scene/quote.
From episode one, the line “What the hell is this song!?!”. In the script I was just supposed to shout “Uaaaaaaah!”, but during voice recording I adlibbed my gut reaction to hearing the song. The director allowed my adlibbed line to be used, so it's a memorable quote to me. I also love the scene from episode eleven, where the four characters have a meal together. It is a mysterious scene where the atmosphere changes into that of a cooking manga (lol).
Q: Was there anything you were particularly conscious of when portraying this character?
I was conscious of expressing Isami as someone who is fundamentally a man of few words, with the austerity of a soldier who feels young yet mature. In the first half, my strong imrpression of him is that he is conflicted after meeting Bravern with how he doesn't want anyone to die but doesn't have the courage to fight. The boxing match with Smith allowed him to let out the weakness he'd been holding inside, and he was able to change his feelings into positive ones where he wants to fight alongside others without pressure. Even when he's conflicted, his comebacks are sharp, he is pretty scary when he gets angry, and he sheds tears when his companions fall... he is a character I portrayed expressing multitudes of human emotions.
Q: A message for fans.
Thank you for watching BBB until the end. In addition to hot blooded mecha fights, there are scenes that make you laugh, a little bit of sexiness, scenes that may make your eyes tear up, all sorts of fun things coming in a high tempo. It might be the kind of work where seeing Isami, who had no courage at all, gain it little by little through his battles, might give viewers that small first step as well. I am glad Bravern gave me the opportunity to play a mecha pilot protagonist for the first time. Thanks to all viewers and regards from here on.
Azakami Youhei (Lewis Smith)
Q: Tell us your impressions of the character you play.
At first we were not given a lot of character details. I attended the audition with a rough description of a “cheerful and macho solider”, but after reading the scripts and seeing his feelings for Isami and his fellow comrades, and how well he takes care of Lulu, he became a character I liked more the more I got to know about him. Almost as if he became like a “hero” to me. I think the comical atmosphere around him draw out his likable qualities. I tried my best to make his [English] pronunciation sound as native as possible. He was earnestly a very fun character to play.
Q: Tell us about your favorite episode/scene/quote
I really like the boxing episode between Isami and Smith. Like “we don't need words to communicate!” - it was a fun part to act with a mix of passionate fists meeting mixed with jokes. I think that's when they truly became friends so it's a part I particularly like. Also, it wasn't in the actual episodes, but in the preview for the first episode, Smith says the line “The wait's over, Isami!”. It is a line that has a bigger impact when you hear it again after knowing everything. Please listen to that line one more time!
Q: Was there anything you were particularly conscious of when portraying this character?
He may give off the strongest impression of being a bright and pleasant person, but his sometimes fragile expressions are memorable. He wants to be a hero, but the hero isn't him. That sense of failure he was carrying might have been the “shadow” side of this story. When recording his lines, more than getting across his “coolness”, I tried to get across the beliefs that were important to him, as well as that sense of being the “shadow”. On one side, he is the polar opposite of the cold Isami, but no matter how bad things make him look he doesn't waver in his own belief in justice. And for him, the “shadow” of failure turns into strength because of his strong convictions. I am happy thinking this power could connect him to becoming Bravern.
Q: A message for fans.
Thank you for supporting this work. This is the kind of story that makes you think “who is the protagonist?”, and people can come to different conclusions. Like Isami, who is forcibly made to be the hero and is dragged onto the stage and shouldered a huge burden without knowing why. Or like Smith who, faced with the reality of not being able to become what he wanted to be, was able to overcome that sense of failure. Or like Hibiki and Miyu who are able to make everyone happy by playing a supporting role. Or like King, who lets his personal feelings aside and becomes the one who makes the hard decisions. From all sorts of protagonist viewpoints, try watching the show thinking what sort of existence Bravern is to all of them.
Suzumura Kenichi (Bravern)
Q: Tell us your impressions of the character you play.
When I saw the design, I thought it was totally Bari-esque (lol). “This is it!” I cried out.
The more you see him face against other characters the more it becomes clear just how out of sync with everyone he is, which is funny, but I was also nervous how hit the subtle balance right each time. I played him like the kind of hero robot character I looked up to as a kid, which made me happy on a personal level. I portrayed him with all the expected qualities of a mecha anime, but being a lifetime otaku helped me a lot. I'm glad I like robots.
Q: Tell us about your favorite episode/scene/quote.
It was fun to put effort into voicing the special attack/fusion scenes. Obari-san has done continuous work on mecha anime, and has many peculiarities about how attack shouts should be voiced to the samllest detail, and recording while receiving those sessions was fun. I also got to voice the the hero character in the tokusatsu show Smith and Lulu were watching! Taking notes on how to voice live action-ish lines once again was very fun. When you know that Bravern was created from Smith's feelings, you can tell that the image of that hero character probably made a deep impression on a part of him.
Q: Was there anything you were particularly conscious of when portraying this character?
When the test recording of the first episode was done, Obari-san called for me and told me: “Bravern's real identity is Smith”. I was the only one who was told this. Because this was kept a secret from the other voice actors, it was hard to keep myself from telling everyone my real feelings (lol). Although I was cast through an audition, knowing this changed the entire plan of portraying the character. The way he interacts with Isami, the way he says his special attacks, how he uses his new powers... instead of voicing these lines in a straightforward manner, I played him as if it was actually Smith acting as a hero. After the reveal of his identity happens in the second half if the series, I played him as if he becomes stronger and more confidently hero-like.
Q: A message for fans.
This is a work you can enjoy from many different viewpoints. For a mecha-otaku like me it doesn't betray your expectations, and people who have never seen a mecha anime before can laugh and cry. It is a work full of elements that people can enjoy. There are lots of characters with their own charms, so I think everyone will find a favorite. If you watch the entire show from the beginning after the ending, you will be able to notice how everything was laid out! Please watch it around 100 times (lol).
Aizawa Saya (Lulu)
Q: Tell us your impressions of the character you play.
I took this role as a challenge, and she was a character who gave me a lot of challenges. I want people to understand her passionate courage by watching her introduction scene again after the last episode,
Q: Tell us about your favorite episode/scene/quote.
I like her relationship with Superbia. From their backstory, where he accepts her determination, to their present, where their feelings align and they take off together. Their gapigapi arguing was a good memory. And as an actor, getting to be a mecha pilot is a great treasure.
Q: Was there anything you were particularly conscious of when portraying this character?
In the beginning, she didn't even understand what language was and she didn't have a developed tongue. I payed attention to which words in the script would be difficult to pronunce. The subtle line of her not being able to communicate properly and words still having to be audible to viewers had to be tread carefully. Her state of growth from episode to episode was carefully maintained by consulting with Obari-san.
Q: A message for fans.
Thanks for supporting this passionate work. Make the courage hidden inside you burst forth!
Sugita Tomokazu (Superbia)
Q: Tell us your impressions of the character you play.
The word “bonds” can easily become trite when thrown around easily, but I felt that to Superbia, his bonds with others are precious to him. As comrades in arms, as ojisama, the future that comes forth must be bright.
Q: Tell us about your favorite episode/scene/quote.
I loved hearing so many good voices. The voice actors Obari-san chooses for this works never let you down, I thought. And it was exactly as I expected. Every episode my ears and heart were happy.
Q: Was there anything you were particularly conscious of when portraying this character?
The pronunciation of “Lulu”. The “Oh, has something changed here?” should be immediately obvious.
Q: A message for fans.
Brave! Bang! Shake hands with Superbia in his new form that's probably gonna come out! It's gonna be come out, right?

The Potential of Meta (ε)
Tumblr media
art by @ehhgg-art
So after watching Restoration, I wanted to talk about Tucker being Epsilon Meta or Meta (ε). First is the execution of the character. Tucker being an unwilling host, of the fragments and being forced to do to their bidding, was great. as well as him trying to resist and fight them off. But the fact that Tucker being made to be a fighter on the level of Carolina and Tex (bare in mind this is due to ai's but still) was great. And his undoing being the fact that the R&B are so unpredictable was perfect. However, I do find the choice of having Miles voice his Meta self, instead of Jason to be a bit weird. Meta Tucker for all intense purposes draws a similar vain to Felix. Miles voicing him while controlled contributes to this but the fact that the Meta talks at all, and he comes off as cocky, and menacing just matches Felix's vibe. Which leads to my biggest problem, the missed opportunity.
Tumblr media
art by hipstersoulgushers-art
Tucker didn't get to interact with the Reds and Blues enough, the biggest obstacle with fighting Meta(ε) was that it was Tucker, It made the Reds and Caboose not want to fight their friend or not have a good chance of beating him, combined with his ability to speak as the Meta(ε) he could have came at the Red's and Blue's, verbally and physically destroying them, and just when it looks like Meta(ε) was going to far Tucker steps in like he did with Caboose. That and he didn't get to interact with all of the Reds and Blues. I would've loved to see interact Meta(ε) interact with:
Freelancers: For Wash would've been a battle of the student versus the mentor, and it could've set up Doc dying to save Wash, leading to all the stuff that happen to Wash in Restoration. For Carolina it could've played a role with her being the one to track down Meta(ε) feeling responsible for what happened, it also could lead to Meta(ε) shit talking Carolina with Tucker's more unruly traits. Reds: We could've had Tucker attacking the Reds verbally. He could've came at Simmons, since he had the arc in Restoration, saying that Grif and Simmons were useless on Chrous or make some subtle jabs at there situation. Dismantling Lopez, hell maybe thinking he killed Donut only for him to comeback later contributing to the running gag.
Sister: This is the romantic in me but it would've been so interesting to see how Sister would've reacted to Meta(ε), Ik, the Shinso trilogy is no longer canon but still there's potential with this
Locus: This one is more a of a fan favorite what-if but it would've been cool to see Meta(ε) fight Locus since there has yet to be a sword fight in RvB and it would've been dope. Locus seeing the Meta in action but realizing how Meta(ε) acts like Felix.
Tumblr media
art by blueteamjax
I know Sigma plays the biggest role with Meta, but god damn, I wish we got to see Delta and Theta interact with them more, like a moment where there in Tucker's mind and Delta and Theta are talking to him, and Tucker sees how much Theta reminds him a little of Caboose, or starts acting like a dad to him similar to North. but also How the Ai's use Felix as a manipulation tactic. I said it before that Meta(ε) reminded me of Felix' so it would've been great for them to base there persona, off of them Felix wanted to be the ultimate weapon, an Tucker no being that draws interesting parellel's. This is all I really had cooking in my mind. But I kinda wish Restoration was a full season because oh man, if this was made during the Shinso Trilogy and Burnie and Miles wrote it we would've been eating good.

Note! Definition of a sexywoman:
According to the sexywomanpedia, a sexywoman is "a character who shows the 'lanky suitman villain' tropes, is popular with wlw, and/or is highly divisive." Some factors to consider are morality (or lack thereof), overall mysteriousness, and strength (physical or abilitywise.)
Propaganda:
Livvy Sonden:
"shes a mad scientist. she joined the revolution but she thinks secret identities are stupid. she has fabulous fashion sense. what cant she do" @necromycologist
Mai Song:
"She hides.
She hides so much, she hides behind her clear, unbreakable face of utter nonchalance, of pure ice and purer anger, even when all she can do is care. She cares about her kids, despite what's she done and what she'd do all over again. She cares about her husband, and her friends, and the world (she supposes, she's not put much thought into it).
But the thing is, she cares, most of all, about herself. It's hard and it hurts, but she knows that she'd do whatever it takes to survive: she'd hurt and push and claw her way to the top; she's forced her way there before. It's where she belongs, it's where she'll end up when everything is said and done. She doesn't like it. But it's who she is, what she is.
But then it hits her again . . . she cares. Angrily, regrettably, she cares, not just about herself, as much as she'd like to claim. About everyone, and most of all about her family.
Does caring for all of them, combined, equal the total amount of which she cares for herself? Can she fix what she's done and what she will do because even though she values herself most she also values everyone else? Does that count for something?
Will it ever?" @wow-youre-so-pretty

Do not expect me to post in main tags often, I just had to post all this because Sunny, my love, my chaotic little bird man. I had to share all the stuff I've found and/or screenshotted about him with you all because I'm obsessed to an insane degree. Commentary will be included on stuff. Hit the "read more" for more, LONG POST AHEAD!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of the few bits of info we have about Sunny, from Clown's old deleted blog. Things of interest include him being friends with Barnaby, an inkling of what his house looks like and where it would be located, and what puppet type he was. Also, the hidden text on his picture. Keep in mind that "being quiet" was a large theme back in the old Welcome Home lore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An actual high quality version of the Sunny-getting-grabbed-by-puppet-hands pic, since I've seen too many versions of it looking crusty, along with a high-contrast version of it to show the hidden background details.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Group photos of the OG six puppets. Also where my favorite image of Sunny screaming comes from lol. Of course, can't forget that Sunny's name is upside-down in the second pic, hinting at his nature of being different.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ooky Spooky™️stuff that happens to have Sunny in it. If there is a smidge of Sunny in it, I save it.
Tumblr media
Sunny merch. I don't know what on earth this thing is but I'd buy it /lh Also of course, getting rid of him and all that. Note, I believe Clown when they say that Sunny is truly removed and the removal isn't a part of the story or whatever... I can dream otherwise, though, because man that'd be cool if he was removed on purpose FOR a story point. But again, Clown said he was just removed because he didn't fit into the story and they don't like "hero types" for it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wake up babe, the OG Frank ship is here. Franks's phone not having a 3, and also having a 6 on it could have meant something, who knows (Edit, it's their numbers from that one pic, I was tired lol). Also more "behave" and "listen" stuff included as well. Anyways observations aside, I just love how floofy Sunny is in the second pic, it gives me life. It's one of the more polished images we get of Sunny, too.
Tumblr media
Screenshot of the text that came with the group picture. Again, "being quiet". I'm sure that people could run with this theme for their fanart and fanfics if they wanted to, since I know beta designs have been getting some comeback.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some more information on what Sunny was planned to be. Points of interest include confirmation that him and Frank indeed were going to be in a relationship, Sunny being a "hero", and Sunny's purpose involving "blow the whistle", which when you pair it with the "be quiet" stuff and focus on "being quiet" really starts to paint a picture and makes me go nuts over what he could have possibly have done. Add the "you're FREE" and again, more things just fall into place. Anyways, "attributes already covered (bird)" makes me laugh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways onto the more inane stuff (/pos), Frank and Sunny as Ducktales OCs. Everything about the Sunny pic makes me feral and bang my fists on my desk, because he is SO flaming queer, LOOK AT HIS FACE, HIS BODY LANGUAGE, HIS MOVEMENTS, FRANK'S REACTION, THEY ARE BOTH FLAMING GAYS!!! LOVE, ENDLESS LOVE FOR THESE TWO!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And lastly to end this all off, Gay People Jumpscare: Electric Boogaloo 2. Sunny's beak being CONE makes me happy. Frank and him physically so close together and Frank blushing makes me happy. Them explicitly being called gay makes me happy.
These two are so delightful, and I like to imagine that in a canon where Sunny still exists, he's accepted into Eddie and Frank's relationship and it's poly and everyone is happy, THE END.
Thank you for coming to my rant about a scrapped character for something that technically hasn't even started and is a flaming queer.

are you happy now that grrm himself confirmed daeron, you little idiot? you can stop crying now
Hey, I'll take it.
Daeron is a very important character in the late stages of the war - and is the reason that the Greens come out victorious. Not to mention that his specter looms over the reigns of Aegon III, Daeron (whom he is named after), Baelor, VIserys II, and Aegon IV. The ambiguity of his fate haunts Rhaenyra and Daemon's descents till the Blackfyre Rebellion.
Our boy destroys Rhaenyra's army at Tumblestone which means that she had no armed presence in King's Landing, giving the small folk the means to rise up against her. Also, the rumor of his coming stirs and emboldens the people to fight against Rhaeynra to help him. And his alleged murder by treachery - while trying to restrain his men from massacring a town on the march to King's Landing - enraged the common people to finally take action against Rhaenyra.
Everything would've been cool, the Dragons would've lived on, and a lot of bad shit wouldn't have happened, if Daeron would've just taken the crown when everyone - EVERYONE - told him to take it. But the dude didn't, cause he wanted to be sure that Aegon was actually dead (which he wasn't) before he claimed the Seven Kingdoms. He's the most like Alicent of all her children, he just wanted to do right and be just - even at the cost of peace in the realm.
Instead, at the end of the war - when Criston, Aemond, Otto, and Helaena are dead, and Alicent is captive - a prize - of Rhaeynra and the Blacks, our boy Daeron, the last man standing on the Greens side, fights on against overwhelming odds. He fights the Tullys and the Starks, overcomes the Lannisters jumping ship and pulls out the greatest comeback win in Westeros history. And not because he wanted the crown, or that he hated Rhaenyra and Aegon III ...
Our boy did all these impossible things cause he wanted to rescue Alicent ... he went from being the last man standing on the losing side of the bloodiest war in Westros's entire history and turned it around against overwhelming odds to steal victory from Rhaenyra ...
and all to save his mama.
So, yeah, I'm gonna bitch about it.
Hero's get remembered, kid ...
But Legends never die.

Marauders era characters and ships as TTPD lyrics (pt.1)
“And for a fortnight there, we were forever, run into you sometimes, ask about the weather. Now you're in my backyard, turned into good neighbours. Your wife waters flowers, I wanna kill her.”- this so Regulus to James because for a 00.0007 secs they were truly happy but then Regulus broke it off to become a DE and he had to watch James build a life with Lily.
“I'll build you a fort on some planet, where they can all understand it. How dare you think it's romantic, Leaving me safe and stranded? 'Cause fuck it, I was in love, so fuck you if I can't have us.”- James after Regulus left him because “their relationship is too complicated and dangerous and they’re better off separated.”
“I stopped trying to make him laugh, stopped trying to drill the safe. Thinking how much sad did you think I had, did you think I had in me?”- Mary falling for all the wrong guys and losing all her friends and feeling so alone and desperately clinging to lovers who can’t save her until she is forced to just let it go because she can’t go on like this.
“Now I'm running with my dress unbuttoned, Screaming, "But Daddy, I love him! I'm having his baby.” No, I'm not, but you should see your faces.”- These lyrics are so chaotic and I think the only person who’s capable of living up to them is Sirius Black.
“You can beat the heat, If you beat the charges too. They said I was a cheat, I guess it must be true.”- it’s giving the 7 husbands of Louise Zabini.
“What if I roll the stone away? They're gonna crucify me anyway. What if the way you hold me is actually what's holy? If long-suffering propriety is what they want from me, they don't know how you've haunted me so stunningly. I choose you and me religiously.”- every gay ship in the fandom like ever. But also DORLENE.
“You shit-talked me under the table, talking rings and talking cradles. I wish I could un-recall how we almost had it all. Dancing phantoms on the terrace, are they second-hand embarrassed, That I can't get out of bed 'cause something counterfeit's dead?”- Remus after Sirius got into Azkaban.
“I can read your mind, "She's having the time of her life". There in her glittering prime, the lights refract sequin stars off her silhouette every night. I can show you lies.”- no explanation just Mary McDonald.
“'Cause once your queen had come, you'd treat her like an also-ran. You didn't measure up, in any measure of a man.”- Snape🥰
“Hey, you, what if I told you we're cool? That child's play back in school is forgiven under my rule.I haven't come around in so long, but I'm making a comeback to where I belong.”- JILYJILYJILYJILYJILYJILY.
“I am someone who, until recent events, you shared your secrets with. And your location, you forgot to turn it off, and so I watch as you walk into some bar called The Black Dog, and pierce new holes in my heart. You forgot to turn it off, and it hits me, I just don't understand... How you don't miss me in The Black Dog.”- Mary watching Lily move on and being unable to do so herself.

For the game. I picked a lot 🫣
1, 2, 8, 10, 16, 17, 19, 23, and 25.
Please and thank you 😊
Hope you are doing well!
1. the character everyone gets wrong
Wei Wuxian, especially from topping Wei Wuxian fics, they make him downright cruel for some reason like this somehow turned into Erha and Taxian-Jun made a comeback. (Being a dick on purpose is not sexy or cool yawn)
2. a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom
Answer previously: Wangxian wouldn’t switch… because their very dynamic has already been a subversion of what the usual danmei couple is sexually. Lan Wangji is made to be seen as the maidenly pretty one that is shy, while Wei Wuxian is seemingly the charming player and flirt who is vastly more outgoing. Intrinsically their sexual dynamic as a strict bottom and top plays into what is supposedly more right to them, and basically shattering that by making Wei Wuxian the one who prefers to bottom and very much letting Lan Wangji be the do-er. It feels like otherwise it’s not them or at least, very hard to write believably with them swapping sexual roles.
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
There is no such thing as morally grey Wei Wuxian as that very definition is to do seemingly good things while having ulterior motives with the lack of actual respect or care to others.
10. worst part of fanon
Fandom Jiang Cheng, no he is not Wei Wuxian's brother, neither of them ever say the words "you are or like my brother" to each other, no he is not ever going to plan a wedding for Wangxian, he's a homophobe who went on a tirade because they hugged and they aren't miserable like him and he thinks they're making light of his pain yada yada. No he does not need further contact with Wei Wuxian as he did the best and most unselfish thing he could ever do in his life by finally not holding what all he supposedly did for Wei Wuxian to trap him. No he is in no way Lan Shizui's uncle nor even his damn shishu because he kicked Wei Wuxian out of the sect and Lan Shizui doesn't even respect him aside from the bare minimum why would he ever want to call that man an uncle.
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Straight boy Wei Ying is annoying, and dare I say a fetishized trope to make him terrible when he literally has nothing against anyone gay in book and it's really just the normal display of comphet from someone raised in a traditional home.
17. there should be more of this type of fic/art
Lan Wangji and Jin Ling bonding. I really like the idea of Jin Ling being scared witless of Lan Wangji but also very adamant to be praised by him and secretly fangirling in his room after he get a "well done" by him.
19. you're mad/ashamed/horrified you actually kind of like...
Ahhhhhhh mmmmmm.... I don't think I have any honestly.
23. ship you've unwillingly come around to
Hahahahahahhahaha, Taxian-Jun x Liu Qingge. (No seriously I REALLY like this idea and gotta work on my idea for it)
25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing
Wangxian were disrespectful in the ancestral hall, or Wei Wuxian in the supervisory office was meant to be judged/he shouldn't have fought back against THREE THOUSAND people out to kill him because they made up lies about him.

Writing Inspirations
Hey loves!
So this has post has been long time coming...I've always been fascinated with how people are inspired to just create something out of the void. How do you have a thought and just birth out a fic?
So here's me making a post dedicated to the creative process behind my writing and what prompted me to write all these fics...and many more
Before I start, I wanna point out that I am a reader before being a writer. I have been reading a wide discography of books from when I was a child- from Shakespearean plays to small little blurbs that are extremely trashy and have no great plot but feeds a certain fantasy. I respect anyone who has the guts to hone their skills to just write and contribute to sharing their works with others.
You will find that reading all such works allowed me to experiment and find a tune that I am most comfortable writing in.
Bun In The Oven - This is is my first work here .. I made a comeback to writing after eight long years.
I come across a lot of these pregnancy announcements on YouTube and I've always wondered..how would I explain my pregnancy to my husband if I were to be blessed with a child one day? The phrase 'Bun in the Oven' has tickled me in a good way..so I thought a spin off on the word play...paired with how someone like Wonwoo... someone who's very straightforward with words.. how would he react?
And behold my first fic on Tumblr!
The sequel was just a continuation. ..because I didn't want to end in a way signifying that Wonwoo is scared of being a dad ..a little shaken yeah..but very happy (he's got the spirits yaay)
In Every Lifetime, We'll Be Together - idk man that Calvin Klein ad that came and shocked every Carat comes to mind... I just thought long and hard ....Mingyu seems like the guy who holds on to his first love ya know.. what if he had someone like that..and how would they react to have seen him progress that much ..
Something about two people starting this race against time and passionate about making it together, yet life favors one and neglects the other .. how do those couples last? That's how that was birthed
The sequel was written solely to give a good ending. I still believe it's only an alternate version, not the factual sequel.
The drabble- idk man. I had exams. I was panicking. I stress wrote. I forgot I wrote it till I woke up the next day and saw the notifications blow up. I remember nothing from this.
Crumpled Confessions and Then Some More- in a way I resonate with the protagonist so much. I'm extremely shy to the point I'm scared to voice out my wants . It's now into my 20's I've realized the amount of losses I have because I cannot speak my mind. I think to myself, if someone cool and popular were to be my friend , they'll go away once they find out how pathetically timid I am loll..
Also the prompt is based off real life events. I don't think Hannie is the one to discard someone he knows to find s/o , but I needed an angst and I used him. Sue me.
Fallen From Grace
Into Your Arms- based of a true story I will not elaborate
The Scarlet Dress Debacle- based off the scene from Little Women where Meg gets a little frivolous and Brooke calls her out for it . It stung 15 years back, it stings even now. But growing up, I get why John reacted that way.
Also, the idjit and ninny reference is from famous Five Five- the old man calls Cecil an idjit lol.
The Chronicles of Arin - The Appa, The Piglets and The Tanghulu- The kids are based off irl characters. I love babies. Their tiny bodies and big personalities fascinate me. That I hate you moment was based off something I told my dad as a kid. The drabble between Cheol and Y/n is how I picture a pouty Cheol protest on being called his full name.
The title comes from the popular series by C.S. Lewis
Echoes Within The Heart's Battlefield
Like I mentioned in the fic, it's based off a comment I once read from @onlyseokmins. Go check out El's works. She has a great fic on Seokmin which I hold dear to my heart.
I do a lot of maladaptive daydreaming so this fic is based on a character I've created for a long time. Seokmin was inspired purely by Seokmin from Seventeen and the man he is who would do kind things from the goodness of his heart. I love his smile, love his generosity and his empathy. And also him being a tease makes a lot of sense in my head. And that fic is my baby.
Love Amidst A Massacre (Teaser)- This is something imma challenge myself to write. Inspired by documentaries of war torn countries and tyrannous leaders mercilessly killing innocent souls for their selfish gains. How do traumatized souls find love in the midst of all this? There's a bit of Roman history- the downfall of the empire, however none of these characters will be written in that setting.
Rise From The Shadows (Teaser)
Trust me I don't know too much! Again, purely indulgent from my side. So many people write loser fics as people with loser personalities. But what if the character is themselves not a pathetic personality, rather it's the people around him that are? I think back to school days and how toxic kids were. Kids can be brutal and plain mean! And so, I am writing a fic based on a boy who was raised right, to be the best version of himself. And how he is confused that all the things he is taught as great personality traits , is considered as loserish acts. Also for the sake of love, imma add some drama there :).
No I will not make the lady love Dino's bully. I cannot find in me to write that for a pure hearted Dino in this fic.
Lemme know what are your thoughts if you'd like to talk about your writing or reading journey

went through ur resident evil tags, saw everything and felt for the fandom part big time
what was ur experience with it like? what could u possibly NOT like about it? pour ur heart out 🙏
Every old fandom that blows up suddenly with newcomers age ranged between preteens to young 20 somethings is going to be insufferable. You get the "fandom veterans" who've been in it since the first game dropped being "well actually" about every damn thing AND the newer fans deciding to change how the narrative functions to fit into what's currently popular and modern. It's why a lot of the infighting is occurring.
I'm a newer fan, but I am older than most of the fans that have recently gotten into RE these last few years so I'm in this weird spot. I've already stated in past posts I don't give a fuck what the directors or voice actors intended to do with the characters because if the game or movie doesn't show it, then they failed in executing their goals. Leon's VA can say whatever he wants about his Cleon intentions, but since their dialogue nor the execution of it didn't ring as romantic then guess what! It's not romantic! He just has a ship preference! The directors said Death Island was supposed to be Jill's comeback, but guess who gets most of the lines? Leon! Some comeback right? Guess who FAILED in executing their intentions so it doesn't count as canon. Those guys!
I also don't care about what information is found in old game faq magazines from the early 2000s that "prove" one backstory or another. Is it interesting to now how the fandom behaved when certain games and movies dropped and their responses to it? Yes! Is it cool to look at interviews from past VA's, face claims, mocap actors, directors, and writers to understand their inspiration when it comes to creating those stories? Absolutely! Is it fun to have this knowledge because you like the media and there's a lot of fan made stuff to sift through already? Of course! Are you an asshole when you start lauding any of this information as canon without being able to point out exactly where it happens in the game I'm playing or movie I'm watching?
Yes.
Yes, you're an asshole.
I've fumbled with my own takes and interpretations. Nobody's perfect. I get information wrong sometimes and end up doubling down when I should step away. We've all done it. Sometimes the block button hits you before you can apologize, and you just gotta live with it. I interpret things differently in and out of the moment. Everyone does. Why else would there be a whole subset of people who market Piers as this really important character for shipping reasons but then decide to magically absolve him of the very real and dangerous power he had over an amnesiac Chris in RE6? Why else would there be a lack of people giving Ethan the same smoke they give Mia for not viewing Eveline as a child but a thing that needed to be killed? Why else would there be people who treat Leon like a poorly written woman character by giving him a pussy and making him a crybaby bottom who needs to be babysat and comforted and gets pregnant by Chris or Krauser, but there's also strange lack of any trans woman narratives for him despite many artists or authors being trans themselves? Different interpretations is why! :) (Side note: I love trans man Leon narratives. Most of you do not write him the way he is once you've given him a pussy tho.)
I haven't left the fandom. Like with all of my media interests, after the initial boom where it consumes me is gone, I just go to my little corner and make things I like with the hope I run into a few people who also like it. I'm still in the tags looking for news updates, finding art that I like, and skimming past other people's perspectives on the story. I'm also going to the biohazard event in USJ either this month or next month.
I don't know if you wanted a vent post with like a numbered list of issues I have with the fandom. Since you've read through my RE stuff, you've probably seen me touch on all my issues with fanon in passing at least once or twice. If you're looking for something more specific, you'll have to clarify tho. Thanks for the message!

well, hello there. (read as lady dimitrescu’s voice)
ok, vegas, you interacted with my account…again. love, i think you’re ought to find out who i am before we can even smell october 1st. so cute that you think i’m sweet, because whenever i re-read what i wrote for you im like “oh, that’s not…that’s weird”. i also think you are very sweet! i’m intimidated with people, so indeed i took the opportunity of being high and loose and approachable to send you that first ask.
i think being a whore for ghostface is as easy as saying it’s name. the masks stays on!! do i mean sex or the killing? both? yes. hm, moving along, what’s you favorite ghostface? mine would be stu and jill.
oh, oHH. ok but toji removing the mask, slowly, and the first thing you see is his scarred lips with that smirk. like stfu, i’ll show him a scream. and geto. that man is my lawfully husband, and picturing him with that knife is doing stuff to me. blood on his face, like in hidden inventory, passing his thumb to try and clean it…mshdhdjdjdk fainted
sam as ghostface would’ve been predictable, but it would still be cool. i think they could take a different approach with her. while everyone is scared shitless because a knew killer has show up, she would be excited because-well, she can kill now. again and again, with the excuse of saving her friends and sister. maybe might even kill someone by “mistake” who knows. i think it would be nice, i like the idea of the good character going a lil crazy crazy.
the thing about sidney is that they won’t have the courage to kill her. literal mother of the final girls. but… dale? yeah, i’m bracing myself and praying for her poor little soul.
yes!! they were right in what they did and the ones that loses are the directors. the movie won’t do good at all without them, so must likely they will comeback, as we say in my country, “the sorry dog comes back” as in the directors are the sorry dog, with tail in between their legs.
between cars and bikes im more inclined to cars, but bikers and drivers? ugh, i’m sold to the bikers. sukuna is the type of guy to go to street races just for the fun of nearly dying (in a modern world, of course). i picture a red vintage car with black flames draw in it. oh he would so sexy, he is sexy. others i can see in street race is toji (of course, he bets all the time) and suguru. idk this trinity can have me anytime any day anywhere.
SHUT UP HUNGER GAMES IS SO FUCKING COOL
i used to be a divergent person, but hunger games has grow in my heart. finnick and peeta forever the best boys, suzanne collins cooked with them. and then she fucking burned it with finnick’s. still not over it, how come gale is alive???
jokes aside, i actually fuck with her writing so much, because it’s true, there is no actual victory in a war, we lose too much to be able to live through it. too much nightmares and death.
i’m reading a fanfic set in the hunger games universe, nearly as many words as in the bible, and it’s so fucking good. the author wrote the aftermath of the games perfectly, the rebellion, missions, the games itself. it’s everything.
yapping is done, question of the day is favorite movie and favorite music? see ya!!
nut anon
SLLLAAAY
nutty pook i rly enjoy our long chats i just wanna let u know that 🫡. also the lady dimitrescu voice ????? stawp. do you play resident evil oh now that game is my shit.
LOLLLL DID I. i swear it’s not intentional man. maybe it’s fate 🧿🧿 you think im sweet omg ty AAAAH.
sex with ghostface where the mask stays on is actually cry FUCKKK IM GONNA WRITE THAT. october is gonna bring out the slut in my writing istg. ooooh my fav ghostface ?? probably jill and roman. i love amber too, but billy ofc.
GHOSTFACE TOJIIII DONT DO THIS TO ME. he’s so do that, don’t mind me im writing this down 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️. real they can’t kill the baddest bitch, the whole franchise is nothing without mother.
sukuna as a street racer ID CREEWWAM. i literally saw a sukuna car at the race i went to. i had many interesting thoughts ……. kuna def bets ur so right, toji too with his broke ass.
KEKFLGLHL I LOVE THG ITS SO GOOD. do you like the movies or books better? i like the books but the movies slap
fav movie uhhhhh legally blond, fav music psychedelic pop and indie !!!!

I feel like ppl should do more fix-it stories or like more reunion of patriarch puti and swk
Get that monkey his father figure back.
Have them communicate OR
“Do you know that even after all these years, i haven’t forgotten whats its like to be your student? Do you still think i had become the last words you had thought of me?”
Oooooo would love to see a COMEBACK king that overcomes a doubting teacher.
I always like to think that Puti pushed Wukong away knowing that he was destined for better things but it's hard to back that up with the whole "you're only going to get in evil and I don't want to hear it" kind of tough love.
Thought I do have some recs for you!
There is a fantastic comic by @antidotefortheawkward about Wukong and Master Puti meeting again. It's short but honestly created a fav headcanon that Puti was the one to tell the world he was Wukong's teacher as another 'riddle' Wukong had to see through.
Another is actually a movie called 2022Jounrey to the West: Marble Mountains 大梦西游之五行山/ Great Dream Journey to the West: Five Elements Mountains! This kinda follows the entire plot with Wukong's battle with fighting with himself and the last remaining of what his last master wanted from him. And while a little insane it has three different Xiyouji character designs in this movie, it is such a ride.
Tumblr media
I've seen a few other adaptions try to make a cool twist with Puti, most making him either a father figure to Wukong, like in Immortal Demon Slayer or Monkey King 2014, but I haven't seen one where it like "I'm going to rise above the exceptions you thought I could never achieve."
At least NOT SO FAR!
I think there is a big consciousness in the Xiyouji fandom that Puti is "father figure" or at least the best mentor figure ever so Idk if we are ever going to get like him REALLY being cruel but there are a good number that shows that the separation was just as hard for him as it was for Wukong. I always wondering if we could get to see how Wukong could either really struggle in school or really thrive. I really love that Mei Hou Wang 2009 takes it time to show how Wukong learned and was taught but to see something live-action with a lot of drive into him struggling. Only to come out thriving when he finally starts to learn how he can THAT would be something.
This is the man that gave Wukong his NAME. The name that he never had, something that set him apart from demons very the very start.
Master Puti made Wukong just a little more human by giving him that. And that is something Wukong can never separate from himself.

Vindictus - F2P Action MMORPG & Why We Love It
Hi all, it's been a minute since Ismaire and I got to let our hair down, so I'm just gonna take a sec to share my love of Vindictus.
I don't always talk about how a game is underrated, but man, I will stand by Nexon/DevCat's first free-to-play action MMORPG. I've heard many people put it down for how "unoptimized" this game is. I'm not a PC gamer, but I feel that with today's technology, you can definitely play this game on today's graphics standards.
Obviously this isn't a comparison to the new Vindi in development, but I'm just impressed to see how far this MMO has come.
Tumblr media
PaikMyungJin (left, Evie/Choi) and Ismer (right, Lann/Ismaire) make a comeback to Vindictus in 2024.
The game can overall feel pretty simple and low-graphics to some, but frankly, I just see that as the dev team being smart with their resources. The only hang-up I can think is if you have a slow internet connection, it might be a difficult game to play with others, but it's pretty solo-friendly for the first 2-3 seasons.
Tumblr media
Kinkoku (left, Sou/Ismaire) wondering what Biseuri (Sylas/Haegi/Choi) is thinking about.
I'll have to do a separate post that goes into the game's history. There's so much that could be said when the game first rolled out on October 13, 2010 for the US release. Izzy and I dating coincided with us finally having a game we could play together, since a lot of console games weren't prioritizing couch co-op as much (except for Resident Evil 5-6). [[On a separate side note, I just realized where our points of influences could be traced back to about here. All the more reason why we just love some of our old fandoms...]]
The nice thing about Vindictus is that you can play it solely with a keyboard (our preferred controls), a mouse + keyboard, or a gamepad. The game is pretty versatile for people with preferences. Most of the characters respond pretty well to the keyboard controls. The few that I noticed were difficult to maneuver in combat was Kai with his bow and crossgun, and Hurk with his teide (sword + shotgun combo), more for precision reasons than anything. Ultimately, do what's comfortable for you!
Tumblr media
Alts, alts, and more alts!
Yes, this game will make you play so many alts. And it's worth it. I find this comparable to FFXIV's multi-job branches that your WoL can unlock, but instead of it all stockpiled to one character, you have multiple MCs with various backstories and even special connections to one another! This game being so lore-heavy actually deserves to have multiple characters for the player to explore with. You'll find over time that you'll catch some things you didn't think about from your first playthrough, and it'll just hit you differently... 😭
Tumblr media
Kiena (Fiona/Choi) slicing through enemies.
Tumblr media
BradieHU (bg left, Charon/Izzy) and Lycapollos (fg right, Achel/Choi), hecking over a Kobold commander.
Tumblr media
PaikMyungJin firing her lasers at a laser cannon/golem.
Tumblr media
Ismer slipdashing past the lasers for the finishing kill.
Can't guarantee great screenshots 100% of the time, but the more you play, the better the chances :)

Final thoughts:
Being a casual player, I personally can't give a testimony on how the overall MMO culture is like in Vindictus nowadays. We did have a generally good experience since we weren't the types to go ham about stat comparisons and just genuinely want to have fun. You'll likely run into cool people as long as you're a nice and polite gamer. But of course, we weren't exempt from being driven away by guild dramas, which then later caused us to have an on-and-off hiatus from the game since 2014...  (wow it's a decade already...) Just be prepared that you may get inundated with a lot of female characters in very... curvy skins. Some of the costume/outfitters come with special enhancements, and Vindictus really doesn't hide the fact that it's a rated-M game 😳🪭 Personally it does shock me, but at the same time, props to people who aren't afraid to flaunt it 😂
Tumblr media
Moonglitter (Eira/Izzy) not afraid to flaunt her "All Curves Revealing Off Shoulder Set".
Because there's so much content to push through, DevCat did their due diligence in balancing the first 3 seasons of content with gear that rewarded for progressing. If you do appreciate a little bit of a challenge, though, I recommend keeping on the lowbie gear till you know you need the damage boost. And if you ever find yourself not liking the aesthetics, the game is usually good about giving you aesthetic coupons for you to "rent" through events and the AP shop.
As far as solo/duo-ing experiences go, Izzy and I were able to catch up to Season 3 on our own. We found that we're not able to go through Redeemers currently, but I'm curious to see how well we might be able to duo the battles soon as we're properly geared from endgame :) I'm only hesitant to pug with others because we're not sure if our internet connection could handle a crowd of 2+ external connections. But then again we're working adults who pay for good speed so maybe? lol
By the way, you get to choose two paths of either a Dark Knight or a Paladin:
Tumblr media
Scaley Edgelord
Tumblr media
Shiny Sparkle Knight
Thanks for taking the time to read my little appreciation post for Vindictus. If you're another Vindi-fan, feel free to comment on your experience here! Vindictus/Mabinogi Heroes is such a niche fandom, so I'd be happy to chat with others who love the gameplay and lore ^_^ I'm very inclined to share some Vindictus fanart in the near future, so let's have fun!
