as someone who hasn't quite gotten into naddpod yet (i've listened to the first 4 episodes but it hasn't quite caught my interest plot/character-wise), what are your favorite naddpod moments (spoilers are fine, for me at leas i'm looking forward to experiencing those moments if/when i get to them)
I assume you mean the first campaign - it's been a minute (I'm not a big re-listener due to time commitment, and while wiki/fandom stuff plus a searchable transcript base means I am always refreshing my CR memory I can't say the same about other shows) but just as a heads up it does take them a bit to hit their stride. The Galaderon arc is when it really pops off. Basically enjoy it for being goofy and light for the first 12-ish episodes and expect it to start really hitting.
I'm trying to not be too spoiler-y still but
Meeting Ol' Cobb (Galaderon)
Rise of Thiala (end of Galaderon arc)
Pulling from the Deck of Many Things and getting Balnor (on the way to the Crick)
All of the Crick but especially going into the Elemental Chaos
The mystery elements of Frostwind are top notch; the way everyone is kind of an asshole is frustrating but it does give us "fuck you, I love you, eat a rat" so all is not lost. This is also when the party starts making jokes about Kid Cudi's Pursuit of Happiness which tickled me especially for some reason.
Entire Feywild arc is good but meeting Alanis is extremely fun and the Queen Ezra fight is one of my favorite D&D fights of all time.
DEADEYE, PLAYED BY BRENNAN LEE MULLIGAN. (Shadowfell weird west is PEAK.)
Jvliin ft dubious Kiwi accent
Literally once you're in the Feywild it's all killer no filler from there actually and you probably don't need more encouragement, but meeting Mavrus, meeting Ren and by extension Murph's Snob Voice, meeting Lucanas, and STARSPAWN are the highlights
Pendergreens shows up in the Shadowfell but his stuff in the Hell arc is truly the best shit in the endgame.
Beverly and Erlin
Final combat again one of my favorite D&D fights of all time

6, 7, 9, 14, 23, 32, and 43 for the fiction podcasts asks! sorry this is so many there are so many interesting questions on there
do NOT apologize I love this
6. choose one podcast trope: gays in space, gays on earth, or gays on alien planets
Hmmmm based on the shows I actually listen to it’s probably gonna have to be gays in space. I listen to a lot of space shows.
7. what podcast(s) are you currently listening to?
I’m relistening to EOS 10 and a bit of NADDPOD rn, and I’m about to start Heaven Heist, which is like. A part of the Story Break podcast but I don’t know if I’ll be listening to the rest of it. Definitely Heaven Heist though.
9. who is your favorite podcast character?
God what an IMPOSSIBLE question. There’s really a million but the first who came to mind was Moonshine Cybin of NADDPOD fame and well. She is the Character Of All Time so she feels like a good answer. Isabel Lovelace, Duck Newton, and Renné Minkowski are close favorites too though.
14. what was the last podcast you finished listening to?
Hmmm I think the last one I caught up with entirely was The Haunted Hour or WTNV I think (god it’s been too long), but the last completed show I finished was probably Whirlwind for Hire? MAN I need to listen to podcasts more often again that’s what I’m learning.
23. what was your “gateway drug” podcast?
EOS 10 I’m pretty sure! I remember I followed an artist for some musical fan art back in 2018 and then they started posting EOS 10 art and I got intrigued and now I am. A very different person lol.
32. do you support any podcasters on Patreon (if so, which ones)?
I would if I had money 😔 if I was able to financially support podcasts I like it’d probably go to Talking Fish Co. and Procyon Podcasts first cause Sir Rodney the Root and The Strange Case of Starship Iris are some of my underrated faves.
43. what is a favorite podcast quote?
Considering I have an. Entire note full of NADDPOD quotes that hit me to the bone. It’s probably gonna be one of them. Hold on let me look. Ok so I cannot decide between. Any of the quotes from the Divine Heart scene with Melora but here’s my two favorites from that scene:
“The world should have protected you, but you have been asked to protect it. What an honor, what an injustice.”
“You are not a queen in an ivory tower, you are an alpha wolf leading her pack. Lead your people to a better future, Moonshine Cybin, pull the fabric of time so it flows in your favor if you have to, you have that power”

oops lets change that to top 5 dnd show villains in general!
5. The shapeshifter (can’t remember the actual name) from Dark Dice. Should probably relisten to Dark Dice, but still. A shapeshifter  infiltrating a group and planting paranoia is just so good from a writing standpoint and the concept is really well used. Like, the other pcs seeing Soren burning the village while the real Soren is being buried alive? That’s so good!
4. Also can’t remember the name, but the dude who fucked with Julius Gorring in Masks and Martyrs. This guy sucks and I want more dragonborn characters in dnd podcasts. But uhhhh  him taking away certain parts of Julius’s memories and personality so he can be a strong lord in the days to come is a very good motivation and somewhat justified, given what happens to Lynne in the finale
3. Cern from Dungeons and Daddies. He was a villain for a little while, ok? But his character arc was very good I love him so much. Anthony, please allow this lizard man some happiness
First and second place is honestly a complete toss-up and I could go back and forth for a while. I absolutely love Thiala from Naddpod, but the main/primary villain of Quest Friends (which I can’t talk about without spoilers. Also, technically not a dnd show but still. Also^2 could really put down half of the primary villains. They’re all very good). From a fan perspective, I’d have to go with Thiala. From a writer’s perspective, the latter.
