Opinion on the hc that the (2012) turtles are bilingual (with there first language being Japanese) ?
(Kansjevdjdhud, I love that hc smm<3)
ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE HEADCANON EVER
i love multilingual turtles!!!
i do think 2012 it's the one iteration that seems to be more in touch with yoshi's culture the most.
this might be for the fact that yoshi didn't have absolutely anyone at all when he arrived to new york, a complete unknown different place to him.
it's not literally specificed but one can deduce yoshi got the four turtles in the first place as an attempt to not feel as lonely after losing his family, his clan and being exiled.
so after the mutation i feel like yoshi would have taught the boys how to speak and read in japanese first instead of english since he would have been trying to find a level of normalcy and comfort in all he was going trough.
Another fact is that the brothers are used to splinter telling them stories as a way to pass the time when they were growing up. I like to think he tells them stories about different things like legends and just silly random stories from his past, all in yoshi's og language.
The show also shows it a lot! the brothers speak and understand japanese words pretty randomly! So i do think they mostly speak it while they are by themselves exclusively and at home instead of english (probably not much when april or casey are around as to not make them feel left out of the conversation tho)
also another fun silly headcanon i like is that mikey somehow speaks and understands spanish because of how he says random words of the language in the show too lol. as to how he learnt it himself idk tho. he probably found some telenovelas in vhs or smt lmao
#i would love for someone to make a silly edit of merging the jp dub together along with the og eng one to see how the family would switch#languages and all!!!!#would be fun!#also my favorite thing ever is when in the jp dub the bros give each other silly names with the honorifics at the end of their names lol#mikey sometimes calling donnie dona chan#or raph tan#it gets me man#you dont get that in the english dub lmao#ALSO LOVE WHENT THE BROS USE SPECIFIC DIFFERENT WAYS TO REFER AS EACH OTHER (ANI. OTOTO. NIICHAN. ETC IT ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY IN FICS)#ask#tmnt 2012

🔥 on pucci
I'm actually having to think super hard on this because I don't think I have many opinions that wouldn't be obvious to regular non-freaks (such as he was not in love with Dio, etc).
The first thing that pops into my head is that I hate when people make Pucci into Vanilla Ice 2 in fanworks, making Pucci call Dio 'Lord Dio' and all that. While Dio probably very much did just see Pucci as a follower, Pucci saw Dio as a friend - he just called him Dio!
I know this is just Fandom Grievances now, but I also find it weird to ship Pucci with any of Dio's sons. Not only are they quite young for him, he also fuckin' hates all of them lmao?? All of Donatello's arc was Pucci going "Jolyne is so much better than you in every way Donatello".
And of course everyone already knows that I don't think Pucci hated Whitesnake, nor was he overjoyed to lose him in favour of C-Moon lol
Thanks for the ask!
#ask game#ask#jojo's bizarre adventure#jjba#enrico pucci#if i get angry anons because i don't like dona/pucci then i'm gonna laugh so hard#“hey if he hates all of dio's sons then why do you ship jotapucci” look it's ironic it's old man yuri okay. shush.

Its funny how "I'm Only Thinking of Him" has become one of the sadder songs from Man of La Mancha to me.
The 'concern' from Donqui's family, which appears quite selfless on the surface, reveals underlying concerns of what people will think, what others may do, how it will reflect on them, it makes me think of my experiences with my own family.
I find myself relating my trans experience a lot with donqui these days lol, and it was this song in particular that just kinda drives it home for me.
The line that especially does it for me is "I've been told he's chasing dragons, and I fear it may be true / if my groom should hear about it, heaven knows what he will do./ Oh I really love my uncle, but for what he's done to me/ I would like to take and lock him up and throw away the key."
It just hits the nail on the head when it comes to my family and what I've dealt with for so long, lol. The constant self-assuring of themselves that they only do it out of their love for me, it's such a sad thing.
Granted my relationship with my family is a lot better than it used to be, but they're definitely still upset that I'm out here chasing dragons still~

Why did you vote for the third one in Katherynparr's poll?
To me, it just seems more likely than not? I'm rereading material on the Anne of Cleves marriage rn and funnily enough am reminded of that, like... to leave the marriage unconsummated was to mean it was very easy to annull, would be to leave the state of it contested and vulnerable. Most CoA partisans insist (and I agree, although I think this became even stronger and reified with her accession in 1509, I think it had always existed to some degree) that Catherine had it absolutely drilled into her that for her to become Queen of England was divinely ordained, her sacred duty, etc. That does not square with leaving the matter insecure. Those that insist on #1 tend to really ignore the timeline here... it's not like they married in November and he fell ill and dropped dead the very next week.
So, to follow that thread...would she have lived in that uncertainty and insecurity for months? I find that unlikely. She couldn't have seen the future, so how was she to know that it could ever become such a contentious issue, the did they/did they not?
Frankly, Catherine in these circumstances was the one that was more (relatively) vulnerable. Arthur was always going to become King of England, come hell or high water. They both would have felt pressure, but Catherine would have felt more; to present grandchildren to her in-laws would have guaranteed the security of her future and been met with the gratitude of her own parents for securing the alliance with finality.
I won't go into all the evidence generally used for Vote #1, but I'm familiar with all the usual points made for it, and I'll address some of them in order.
Catherine's testimony that they only spent 'seven nights' in bed together. There's testimony from members of Arthur's staff that contradicts this (saying the number of nights was much higher) and even if it was true (it's a very specific number to remember, I'll say that, six more than the night of their wedding, which she couldn't dispute because chroniclers recorded it), seven nights is plenty to figure it out, if the motivation was there (and see above, I believe it was)
The impression this was supposed to leave, I believe, was that Arthur and Catherine didn't enjoy intimacy together, and didn't really care for each other. Frankly, this has some support (Catherine's rather demurely ambiguous response to Henry VII's question of the matter of whether or not they should reside together was whatever you think best, Arthur spoke of how pleasing she was to him, but that was boilerplate political speech), even speaking broadly (arranged marriages could be awkward, the only language they shared was stilted Latin). There's also the matter of how Arthur left Catherine absolutely nothing in his will, only leaving things to his sister, Margaret.
However, that doesn't preclude that any attempt of consummation was never made...this was often the case, and those in politically arranged royal marriages (Henry VIII being an anomaly) were supposed to, yk...get over it.
The strongest contender is her swearing otherwise to Campeggio. There was another confessor of Catherine's, though, who believed otherwise in 1502, and whom Catherine refused to ever see or write to again (even when the Pope reccomended him-- Catherine was not always such a staunch, to use a retrospective term, 'Papist' as some have supposed); in the context of Catherine having not yet had any surviving son by her marriage to Henry.
Additionally, while she spoke of many things on her deathbed (feeling some blame for the 'increase of heresy' in Engand, namely), and did take confession, her marriage to Arthur and its alleged unconsummation was not among either. Even Chapuys, her staunchest supporter, was rather distressed and seemingly puzzled by this (he had been "assured" that it was her intention to do so)
We're never going to know definitively, of course (those that say Pope Clement made a final declaration that her alleged virginity of 1509 was 'proven' are incorrect-- he did, on the last, defend the sanctity of her marriage, but on the grounds that Henry had for too long acted on the dispensation given for it, and "deprived himself of the right to protest against it"....a conclusion he surely could have given by 1530 at the latest, if 1527 was so clearly 'too late' to protest, but I digress... no mention made of the state of her marriage to Arthur); but regardless of whatever the truth was, I think something that's often said of Henry applies equally to Catherine (and, honestly, most people):
They believed what they wanted/needed to believe.
#anon#i basically think she 'believed' she consummated her marriage and confessed as such to geraldini#in what context i do not know (bcus generally speaking; sex with one's husband was not considered 'sinful' unless it was on a holy day#or 'irregular' or smth)#that she had not enjoyed it ; that she had? either of these could be felt to be sins#and i think that when she divulged to dona elvira what had occured in the marital bed she managed to convince her that wasn't 'really' sex#and so catherine went with the second . as the person she trusted more before that trust was broken#there's also the question of him breaking the seal of confessional...that would be really heinous#but the pope's recommendation makes me doubt he was seen as this unscrupulous or irreligious man?#he wasn't a figure like fray diego#so maybe she divulged to geraldini outside of the confession#wondering if she was pregnant etc and that was what left him with the impression they had

Hi! I would like to ask if you could possibly give any tips on how to properly manage to introduce characters ?
Techniques for Character Introduction
There are many things you can consider for an impactful character introduction:
The Point of View of your novel
Whether your character is a POV character or not
The tone of your novel
What your character is like
In-Medias-Res
Immediately show the character in the middle of action.
Character(s) come into the scene running, fighting, laughing - whatever it is.
Good for leaving an impression
Could be an in-medias-res hook in the very opening of your novel, to introduce the main character.
Choose an action that "defines" the character. Perhaps it's something they do repeatedly (going to the gym at 5am every morning) or that shows a key part of their personality (digging through a large pile of laundry because they cannot keep their room clean)
Dialogue - Voice First
The character makes a voice entrance before we "see" them physically appear.
It helps the readers define the relationship between the character being introduced and the character that we've been following.
From Dan Brown's <Digital Fortress>:
"David?" "It's Strathmore," the voice replied. Susan slumped. "Oh," She was unable to hide her disappointment. "Good afternoon, Commander." "Hoping for a younger man?" The voice chuckled. "No, sir," Susan said.
In these few lines, we already know (1) Strathmore is Susan's boss, (2) quite high-ranking in some military/governmental/secret agency (commander??) (3) is male (4) has a sense of humor (5) seems to be quite friendly with his employees, etc.
By using phone conversations, you can also show how the POV/main character truly feels about the character on the phone - there's no need to make appearances. Perhaps they frown, or attempt to throw their phone on the wall in frustration while the other talks.
Via Another Character
This is where characters in the story talk about the characters even before they are introduced.
Often used with villains/characters with popularity in the story world.
Example: "You've heard of Joe, of course."/ "I'm sorry, who?" /"The president of Book Club? Red hair, freckles?"
Simple Intro with direct characterization
Sometimes, just writing a brief description about the character can be effective, especially if you have some backstory that really, really need to be there before the readers start following the character.
Here's a passage from Leigh Bardugo's <The Familiar>:
"Dona Valentina had been raised by two cold, distracted parents who felt little towards her beyond a vague sense of disappointment in her tepid beauty and the unlikelihood that she would make a good match. She hadn't. Don Marius Ordono possessed a dwindling fortune..."
The key here: provide interesting detail. There's no fun in saying, "Dona Valentina wasn't too pretty, so she had to marry Don Marius Ordono with little wealth." An image of a girl neglected by her parents and bartered for wealth is much more captivating.
Slow & Mysterious Setup
This one is harder to execute than the others on this list, but when done properly, it can produce a beautiful effect where the readers know who you're talking about without you ever having to name them.
An excellent example of this is how Marcus Zusak introduces Death (with capital D, who's the narrator of the story):
"I could introduce myself properly, but it's not really necessary. You will know me well enough and soon enough, depending on a diverse range of variables."
"Your soul will be in my arms." "I will carry you gently away."
Death continues to talk about his "job" like the above until it becomes enough for the reader to catch on.
Drop enough hints for your readers to recognize the character
Works best with an archetypal character - devil, vampire, demon, angels...some figure with distinct features that even when described mysteriously, will be noticeable.
Showing Attitude - For POV characters
Present a peculiar line of thought or show some attitude that makes the character immediately interesting.
This works wonderfully with POV characters - by giving the reader a crucial piece of the POV character's mindset to set the overall tone of the novel.
From Rick Riordan's <Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief>:
"Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood. If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advise is: close this book right now."
Percy (the POV character) goes on a bit like this before we get his name, etc. in the subsequent section.

Hi I'm a big fan of yours and I really enjoy the villains and y/n interactions. Btw I want to ask what made frollo develop feelings for y/n.
Do Judges dream of park attendants?
(Frollo x Reader)
TW: description of Panic attacks
————————————————————————
Out of all the Disney villains brought to life by Disney, Frollo is having the hardest time. All of his beliefs, everything he had sacrificed in his life have been destroyed in an instant the moment he opened his eyes in this Infernal theme park
Frollo doesn’t actually believe he’s alive anymore, that the Disney parks is his divine punishment
Though deserved, everywhere he goes he’s ostracized and humiliated. His fellow villains love to single him out to needle him, especially Hades.
He’s so tight that if you shoved a piece of coal up his ass, two weeks later you’d get a diamond
It’s obvious in the film that his mental psyche is as fragile as communion wafers, and this has been amplified to 100 now that he’s in a completely unrecognizable reality.
He hasn’t slept in months, barley eaten (he excuses this as religious fasting) and rarely talks to others
The only person who tried to regularly interact with Frollo is that scrappy park attendant, (Y/N)…
Usually it’s quick conversations, greetings and goodbyes, “how are ya?”s, and sometimes brief smiles. Something that both disgusts and confuses Frollo, a strange prickling feeling in his cheeks whenever he makes eye contact with (Y/N)
Panic attacks have become a regular occurrence for Frollo, usually when the sensory nightmare of Disney parks get to much for him, although he usually isolates himself to avoid being so vulnerable
Most of the time Frollo’s able to keep his emotions in check until he’s alone, so most of his panic attacks come out at night
One night his episodes were really, really bad, everything Frollo had tried to hold in finally boiled over, leaving the ex-judge crumbled to the ground, frozen in terror.
He didn’t need a fireplace to feel the licks of flames on his skin, and no matter how hard he clenched his hands over his ears, Frollo couldn’t stop the chanting echoing in his head.
It felt like a lead weight was on his chest, and dark spots were crawling into his vision, threatening to pass out
Frollo was too lost in his own head, mumbling prayers to himself as the crackling of fire and chanting drowned out all sounds, even the light creaking of his bedroom door opening…
“Pr- preces meæ non sunt.. dignæ Sed- sed tu bonus fac benigne, Ne perenni cremer igne…. Pie Iesu Domine,Dona ipse requiem…. Preces meæ non—”
“Frollo?”
The feeling of a hand resting on his head broke Frollo out of his mumbling. Through blurry vision the ex-judge made out a figure crouching above him, their hand slowly petting his hair. The sensation of soft fingers on his hair felt grounding, with each stroke the flames began to lull…. Has an angel finally come to end his misery?
“Frollo? Are you alright?
The black spots around his vision began to subside, as his teary eyes cleared enough to see the worried face of (Y/N), the young park attendant. At any other point in time, Frollo would’ve flinched away from their touch, cursing them out for having the gall to lay their filthy hands on a holy man, but all of his senses had failed him, and their touch had quelled the flames and disembodied chanting around him.
Starving for any source of familiarity, Frollos trembling hands reached to clutch onto (Y/N)’s pants,
“Je ne peux plus faire ça— Je—”
“Frollo, please- I can’t understand you…” (Y/N) pleaded, at a loss at what to do with the pathetic man before them.
(Y/N) was finishing their shift for the evening, their final task was to check on each villain to make sure they were set for night. They were walking down the hall to check on Sher Khan when they heard a thump behind Claude Frollos door, wall muffling the sound of weeping. Knocking on the door brought to response, and worried that the old man might’ve actually fallen and couldn’t get up, (Y/N) slowly cracked open the door.
Instead of being immediately kicked out by the ex-judge, French curses thrown at them— they found Frollo slumped against his bed, mumbling latin to himself, his eyes a thousand miles away.
(Y/N) was at a loss, they had never seen Frollo this desperate, this deep into despair. Even when they watched the “Hunchback of Notre Dame” and his song “Hellfire” was he this vunerable. This was unfamiliar territory.
But panic attacks were familiar, especially with how to deal with them.
“Frollo? You’re alright… Your minds just working against you right now.” (Y/N) hummed, continuing to pet Frollos silver hair,
“Here, I’ll be right back,” gently removing Frollos hands, (Y/N) grabbed a spare glass from his nightstand before rushing into the bathroom. Turning on the sink faucet, they filled the glass with cold water then crouched below the sink to open the drawers. They grabbed neatly folded a face towel, a Mickey Mouse insignia embroidered in the corner— (Y/N) wet the towel, making sure that it was thoroughly soaked then grabbed the glass, walking back into Frollos room, the man still on the floor, pale face just watching (Y/N).
“Try to drink something, I know you might feel nauseous, but I promise this helps,” They offered the glass to Frollo, who continued to just stare at (Y/N). After a few seconds between them, He hesitantly reached out and took the water with shaking hands.
As he began to take small sips, the cold water cooled his throat, and he could feel the water cool his insides as he swallowed. The flames were dowsed.
“It’s already 11, you must be exhausted… I think it’s best to try and sleep. Don’t even worry about changing, just get comfortable. I always feel better when I lie down.”
Helping him up, they watched patiently as Frollo collapsed into his bed, not even bothering to pull up the sheets. As he lay on his back, he finally closed his eyes, only for them to open again when (Y/N) lifted his bangs to place the cold wash-cloth on his forehead. His pale cheeks prickling again at the feather light touch of (Y/N) fingers and the cooling sensation of the cloth on his skin.
“Uh— whenever I get an attack, anything cold helps me bring myself back to reality.. and uh, and a wet washrag stays cool for a while, I like to wash my face with it to feel refreshed.” (Y/N) offered quietly, having a difficult time maintaining eye contact with Frollo.
Frollo was at a loss, never— never has he been the subject of such care from another human before, not as a boy, not from the church, not even from his lord. How could he even react to this? It was all to much.
He was tired, mentally and physically, darkness beginning to overtake his vision again, but this time from pure exhaustion.
Risking it a final time, (Y/N) gave Frollos hair one last pet, “I’ll find a way to take you off schedule for the rest of the week, I wish I could get you months off… I’m sorry. But for now, get some rest ok?”
With a final smile, they turned to resume their rounds, already late to check up on the others, but before they could step away from the bed, a hand grasped their arm, stopping them.
Turning back around, they looked down at Frollos pleading face, an almost manic look in his eyes.
“Stay please… at least until I’ve fallen asleep..”
With wide eyes, (Y/N) looked down at him shocked, before sighing.
“Of course.. try to rest now.” They relented, taking a seat at the foot of Frollos bed. The others could wait.
Silence fell over the two, (Y/N) waiting patiently as a good 15 passed. Just when they thought he had fallen asleep a whisper escaped him,
“mon ange..”
And with that, sleep overtook Claude, no longer able to fight off his exhaustion. Warmth enveloping him as he dreamt of feather light touches and scrappy park attendants.
————————————————————————
Sorry if this feels forced or too OOC 😅, I just love Frollo so much, and taking care of others is my love language. When I tell you I need this man whimpering—
Translations:
“Pr- preces meæ non sunt.. dignæ Sed- sed tu bonus fac benigne, Ne perenni cremer igne…. Pie Iesu Domine,Dona ipse requiem…. Preces meæ non”:
My prayers are worthless, Yet, good Lord, graciously grant that I be not burned up by the everlasting fire. Lord, all-pitying, Jesus blest, Grant myself Thine eternal rest.
“Je ne peux plus faire ça— Je—“:
I can’t do this anymore—I can’t—
“mon ange..”:
My angel..

Bernie Fuchs. 1932/2009
Not really sure what to say about him that would be different from anybody else’s point of view. The man was THE man. The legend AND the stuff legends are made of. The enfant terrible of illustration in the late 50’s, all throughout the 60’s and till the slow death of print illustration in the 70’s. I know, Illustration is not dead, far from it, but THIS format of magazine art, the way it was done, commissioned, paid for, the world that went with it is a piece of history now. For better or for worse.
When I discovered the first image in this post I was blown away. I was instantly charmed. The longer I looked at it the longer I was mesmerized. Fuchs had started in the 50’s, working in car ads in Detroit. The job was very specific. There were strict rules. Someone usually did the car and another artist would do the characters. The poses were clear, clean, behind the car. It was all very staged, all very efficient. Fuchs was probably drinking beer or something at the time and asked someone to hold It for him while he went about to completely dismantle this system, going into the streets to capture everyday life, placing people in Front of the cars, overall stepping all over the established codes of the time. He was both admired for it and called a prima Dona for it. He didn’t last in Detroit. Moved to New York and started getting jobs for Mc Call and other well known magazines at the time. The bigger leagues. He was the kid who started taking jobs away from the older, more established artists, and he did it with a smile from what I read.
His work was new, different. It felt alive. The characters weren’t as stiff as they used to be in previous illustrations, there was a looseness to the brush work. Everybody wanted to have him work on their campaigns and every illustrator wanted to be him.
I look at his work. Not as often as I used to when I was younger. I look at it to remind myself that people can draw and paint like this, can tell such strong stories in one images and can push themselves constantly to come up with new ideas, new themes, new compositions Toward the later part of his career, after being incredibly well established, Bernie started experimenting with new techniques, new approaches. This body of work is not often the one that people remember the most but I love seeing his brain at work. Having the courage to leave behind what is a sure success to try something new, untested, unproven, knowing that it could very well be rejected is inspiring. That is the other thing about Bernie Fuchs. He was inspiring. He still is.

I fucking hate the military but also cannot deny the allure of being such a bad boy that I have to get shipped off and have a bunch of strong men break me down, shave my head, and turn me into a real man. Bonus points for shiny leather boots and uniforms and having to obey a superior and call him sir🤤😵💫
Anyway I’m opening a trans guy boot camp. Dona whose subs won’t accept that they’re boys send them to us. Recruits always start by having their girly clothes thrown out and their heads neatly shorn. We pump their clits to make them into cocks, train their assholes to take bigger and bigger straps. Instead of inspecting their beds every morning, we make them sit down half naked legs spread wide so we can inspect their growing cocks and assholes. We punish them whenever they slip up and refer to themselves by their girl names or use she/her, only instead of push ups we either give them hard cunt and ass spankings or we lock their genitals in chastity cages and force them to watch the other boys (the good ones) jerk each other off.
no like im sorry but why is it so hot. maybe its bc they dont care about my life only about being whipped into shape like a perfect recruit like the rest of them lol. while others watch and cheer. something like that.
#ask#forcemasc#force masc#forced masculinization#autoandrophilia#autoandrophile#ftm hypno#transmasc nsft#🤗🤗🤗#fun fact ppl with the biggest military kinks ive known are ones with military families and or military trauma jdgdhsb
