Project Title: Project F.A.V.S (Flowers and Vegetables Structuring)

I.             Abstract

Project FAVS is one of the finest idealism in beautifying the Senior High School Department in KNCHS. The project heads are proposing this project FAVS to the faculty and staffs of Senior High School Department. This project aims to improve and beautify the SHS Department for a greener environment. The project heads will promote a child-friendly environment activities in the school campus through a competition of school gardening every classroom. Inline with project, all senior high school students are involved upon making this project into a success. Beside helping the school environment, it will sought to generate money that the heads will give to those will win the competition. They will also generate income through selling those harvested crops.

II.            Project Justification

a)    Problem statement

The possible problems that may be encountered in implementing the project are financial problems because of the following issues: the group is lacking of funds because of lacking of donors. Some section may not participate because they will take it as a burden to their part. The project heads will be bickering for such reason as they make conflicts in implementing the said project.

b)    Priority

The priority needs to implement the project FAVS are the materials that we need especially the seeds of plants and gardening tools. We need the gardening tools just to maintain the beauty and the structure of the garden or the landscape. Then, we also need the students to participate to this project. We also need some budget to start this event, that comes from the registration fee and for the sponsors of our Department Heads. We also need the help of our beloved principal to strengthen this project to make a better outcome or result of this project because FAVS can make our school an eco-friendly school.

c)    Approach or strategies

The strategy to be use is through competition of landscaping. This is to encourage students to show off their talents in landscaping and to build camaraderie among other students. Also, through this contest, they will meet what they don’t know and what must be improved in terms of beautification and landscaping. For this project to be successful, we will guarantee the participation of each class to join. Sending letters to Assistant principal to make this event voluntary-compulsory. Points will be added to the grades of each class who will be participating. There will be registration for each class that will serve as the prizes to the winning classrooms. Mamondae will also make sure that the registration is exact to the needed prizes and honorariums for judges. Designated areas for landscaping will also be assigned to each classroom. And because KNCHS-SHS is not that big, (there’s only limited space where you can plant) it’ll be a challenge to everyone on how they’re going to maximize the space allotted.

d) Implementing Group

This project will be implemented by mamondae. This group is composed of former SSG president, student of the year awardees, leaders of different social clubs or organizations, SDRRM member. The member of the group are leaders that are good at making sure that everyone keeps busy at their assigned areas, good communication, have commitment and passion on their job. Have good decision making capabilities and honesty and integrity. Lastly, innovation and creative thinkers as well as futuristic vision and knows how to turn ideas into real world success stories

e)    Project aims

The aim of this project of FAVS is not just to beautify and contribute to the structuring of the landscape of the school but also to encourage the senior high school community to participate in building a clean and green environment. This project also inspires the senior high school department to maintain and conserve the environment. This is to raise environmental awareness, understanding, and knowledge of the environment among young individuals.

III.          Target Group

Senior High school students can benefit from the project because the flower and vegetable structuring could add to the beautification of their campus, to the appearance of their campus where they study. Same as through the department heads, they will also benefit from this because the beautification will reflect to them on the way they manage the school as department heads. it will encourage more students to transfer here in KNCHS senior high school. Contestants could also benefit from this

The project will be monitored and evaluated by the help of the judges who will judge the final output of every section. Attach herewith is the sample scoresheets for the judges and the guidelines and criteria for judging.

  Guidelines 

- This event is open to all KNCHS Senior High School students.

- Only registered entries will be judged.

- Final Judging is on March 2019.

- The classroom presidents shall be responsible for ensuring the participation of their respective classmates.

- The role of the adviser is limited only to supervision.

- Strictly no project heads shall participate in the said contest.

- The project heads prohibits the following:

           -Borrowing/Stealing plants from other classrooms

VII.        Reporting – financial, progress

In every end of the month in the year 2019, the presentation of finances and progress of the said project will be reported by the project heads. This will be presented to the students for the transparency and the benefit of the doubt. The financial statements will be liquidated and will be verified as the project heads presents all the receipts that had been extracted from the expenses cost.
