#inktober 20, "Frost"
"When I was searching for herbs in the snowy peaks as a little kid, I once encountered the queen of the mountains. A massive, proud beast that could cause avalanches with her roar and shake the ground with her steps."

honestly, i think it is fair to treat any "humans society does xyz because stone age people did xyz" from a) non-experts and b) beyond the most basic concepts of e.g. "humans live in groups because we are a social species" on level with astrology.
people will take the most specific and peculiar facets of modern-day life and society and say "men act like this because they used to hunt the mammooth and women act like that because they used to pick the berry" - meanwhile most of the common popular concepts of how people lived for these hundresd of thousands of years all across the globe in various climates etc is based on similar projections of modern experience done by our modern contemporaries ten, or fifty or a hundred years ago. Which is nothing, in the grand scheme.
You can literally take any statement you feel like and find some line of argument like that and "prove" it if you project your expectations hard enough. It is self-fulfilling prophecy.

what i vehemently dislike about the apocalypse world cas is that this version of him just... negates his rebellion. makes it as if the act of defying the god's will meant nothing and was only inspired by meeting the winchesters. they've made a contradiction out of him, a being whose mere existence is a paradox: he's shaped like the absence of dean and sam, but at the same time, it's not about them at all. heed the accent. heed the changes in his mannerism.
they said, look at him. he's a different character. he's so other that you can't just say, ohh he's like this because he didn't meet dean. no. the alterations go deeper than that. they said, at his very core this angel is nothing more than a sum of accidents that's happened to him, and dean is just yet another accident - one of many, one too insignificant to really matter in the grand scheme of things. in the original universe, he didn't learn how to be himself on purpose. it was a fluke. perhaps one perished mammooth too many. perhaps the aftermath of the fall of the roman empire. who knows?
they said, look at him. look at him and be aware. look at him and be prepared to be proven that nothing about heaven is not real.

1968 Clymer-MÜNCH MOMMOTH 4 (Germany), 1085 CC 4 cyl in line air cooled
A beautiful of the day of 25 / Jun / 19 😎
Motorcycle historians often quote the Honda CB 750 four as the construction of the "first superbike", but a model of a German brand largely unknown - and with ties to America - came to the market first, and was not Japanese . This motorcycle was the creation of the German friedl münch. Driver since he was 6, münch intended to prepare racing bikes for his own use, but a serious accident ended his hopes for a pilot career. When Horex Ceased Production in the late 50 s, münch acquired the stock of parts and tools and began to design and build his own motorcycles based on the horex Emperor 400 cc twin, equipped with 500 cc.
But münch dreamed of creating a sophisticated motorcycle with supreme performance - what we would know as a "Superbike", and in 1966 he created the mammoth, using 996 cc engine from NSU, a 4 engine. Cylinders for automobiles with 55 HP in a tubular bond structure of its own construction. The machine was heavy (480 lbs) and reached maximum speed of 115 mph - good for the season. The front brake was a 10-Inch Magnesium Casting Massive (250 mm), and used conventional front and rear wheels, but that despite using 5 mm Diameter Rays, the Torque of the of engine would end up removing the rays from the nipples of Regardless, this was the first münch-4 shown to the press, when quickly gained the nickname "Mammut", or mammoth; and had 30 units produced.
Already in 1968, münch used the new 1177 CC NSU TTS car engine for a revised machine, which he called 4 TT (and later, the 4 TTS) or münch4 1200 TTS , while for the American market were offered clymer-Münch Mammooth 4. When the production version premiered, the engine size increased from 1.000 cc to 1.085 cc, while the power rose to 70. Later, in 1968, the displacement grew again, this time to 1.177 cc, pushing production to the 88 HP of this post motorcycle, which had about 500 units produced.
However, these motorcycles were more than twice the price of a BMW, which is why the motorcycle bikes proved difficult to sell, and the company fought to remain afloat. With the health of clymer in decline, the American investor sold his stake in the venture to Arthur Bell in the late 60. S Bell commissioned his son George to run the business he even built a new factory for münch in altenstadt, West Germany, Staying in charge for about a year before leaving the business and in 1971, münch was forced into bankruptcy ✔️

Just want to tell you a bit about my Saturday because it was such an unexpected and fun experience.
Like. I’m socially awkward and don’t have a lot of friends. But there is one which shares my recently rediscovered interest in Pokemon Go XD So we decided to meet up and hang out this Saturday because of the in-game event that promised bonuses for trades and duels, and also a chance to get a rarer form of Pokemon, a shiny one.
So we arrive at this park, with at least a dozen Pokestops, each with a lure module that lures the Pokemon there, and for the event the lures last for six hours. The featured Pokemon was Swinub, this boar-like thing, and the park is overflowing with them XD
Tumblr media
That’s how it was there the whole day and it was usually even more packed. We ended up spending over three hours in that park catching all those piggies, and even with a lot of Pokestops there I ended up running out of Pokeballs and I had over a hundred of those. And the weather was fine and sunny, but with stopping every couple meters for a catch, we soon got very cold. I did catch a shiny one by the end.
Tumblr media
So we’re going home and there’s a Gym with a raid ongoing. And, like... most raids you can’t win solo unless you have a high-level battle team, and we, as mostly casual players, didn’t have that. But there’s two of us. With in-game friendship giving an attack bonus. So we decide to go for it - and it shouldn’t have been hard XD
Except our phones were losing charge, the suggested team was no good and we ran out of time. Twice. Then we googled the best possible combo, made a third attempt - won! - aaaaaand I wasn’t able to catch the raid Pokemon after because my storage was full XD and even as I bought an upgrade right when prompted, it didn’t allow me to try. Ugh.
We resume our journey home, but we’re already in a severe raid mood XD And we spot another Gym with an easier raid and a Pokemon we both need for a quest completion. So we make a detour, battle that (easy!), return home, finally, for some food and warmth and rest.
But. My friend’s in a local district group chat for Pokemon raids. And there’s a call to join the raid on a Palkia Pokemon, one of the legendaries and an overall badass. Impossible to tackle without an extremely strong team, and doubly impossible to tackle solo. But with several people who seem to know what they’re doing - we’re going for it, and once again googling up the best team out of the Pokemon we have.
Now, it was pretty surreal. It was rather dark by then, and so we walk in this darkness, our phones out in the search of Pokestops and quest Pokemon and stuff, and we end up in a remote and dark place with a bunch of literal strangers gathered in a circle XD A quick briefing about how the raid goes, we join up the group, start the battle - there were some issues with connection, so we started and restarted several times. But in the end we managed to win, and I even caught Palkia and it was pretty decent too.
Tumblr media
Oh and the Swinub evolves into this cool mammooth thing
Tumblr media
Such  a packed day XD I walked over 9km then. Froze several times over. Challenged and conquered several Gyms and made them mine. Met with complete strangers for a virtual battle and walked away with a prize XD It was pretty damn fun.
BTW if any of you guys play Pokemon Go and wanna be friends there, my code is 4791 3025 5070
