馃挄Positivity prime time! Share five things you love about yourself, four things you're excited about, OR three people you care deeply about and why. Pass this along to someone whose posts make you smile馃挄
Anon this is so cute and sweet cause I actually needed this right now because my depression is kicking my ass :) It might be a lot post but it's ok cause my yapping is welcomed in my own space:
Five Things I Love About Myself (And I'll Write from Second Person):
1) I love how you have such a strong passion for life despite the struggles you face behind closed doors and through hushed silence. Even though you still have a hard time asking for help because it sometimes sends you through anxiety attacks you don't even call by name anymore (but your psychologist begs to differ), I love how you still make the effort to try. Sometimes, that's all you can do and I admire your courage to do so even when it scares the shit out of you.
2) I love how you are so drawn to learning and constantly double checking yourself and your work. Whether it's watching and listening to informative videos of varying topics such as mental health awareness, TED Talks, motivational podcast episodes, or simply to meditate and reset, whether it's constantly looking up definitions of words you know you know their definitions not because of ignorance but because you want that particular word to get your point across the best. I find it admirable that you admit that you might not know things and try your best to not beat yourself up over it (of course some days are easier than others but you don't allow it to ruminate over your head for long periods of time). I think it's so cool that you live life either "knowing it" or "haven't learned it yet".
3) I love how you're so sure of yourself, especially when it comes to the things you actively choose to care about. Like when it comes to broadcasting or pitching your favorite tv shows, your favorite music, your favorite books, your favorite YouTube content, your favorite types of social media posts, your favorite things about life itself: all with awareness in whether or not it would suit the person on the opposite side. Knowing that despite feeling like your energy can overwhelm people on the other side of it, you've been met with nothing but people telling you you make them feel seen, you make them feel heard, you give them hope, you give them a reason to try.
4) I love how you can connect with almost anyone and find ways to resonate with them without feeling like you have to fake it. Having such a strong push and pull with the capability to draw others in isn't just a skill, you've developed out of survival because you grew up in a world that never felt like yours to begin with, but it ended up becoming your greatest gift that never just served itself on a silver platter but because it was your calling you managed to tap into.
5) I love the way you truly care, especially in a world that feels like it's deprived of care every waking moment from all aspects and angles. That despite the world feeling like it's always two seconds away from falling apart, you still actively choose care over detached, you actively choose intentionality over disregard, you actively choose to wear your heart on your sleeve instead of shielding the skeletons in your closet. I admire the level of strength and courage you pour into yourself to the best of your ability, even if it becomes the most difficult thing to do during your most vulnerable moments. I admire that no matter what, you always choose your authenticity over ever being willing to fabricate yourself. No matter what, you always choose yourself.
Thank you again anon, this really made me happy and I hope I'll continue making posts that'll return that same happiness tenfold! 馃
