I cherish my morning walks with my Say Say. It is my favorite part of the day. Yes she is a threenager...yes she doesn’t let me pee alone...yes I have to repeat myself a hundred times a day...yes she is full of spunk and sass and it is not all rainbows and roses over here... but these morning walks sometimes stroller rides or bike rides is a mommy and daughter moment where we get to explore the outdoors and chase birds, butterflies, pick flowers,find rocks and the pure excitement exist. Everyday I realize she is a day older... a day smarter and I’m waiting for the day she tells me she knows everything (I’m sure that is tomorrow 😝) and as that sponge of a brain soaks it all up and while it melts my heart because my baby girl is growing up (too quickly), I smile because she is growing and the joy of her experiencing it all! Before I know it my threenager will be gone and I’ll have a real teenager who won’t want to walk with me....🤞🏻she will, but I was once that teenager too. The last decade was pretty fricking good to me! Definitely more highs than lows but I am starting off 2020 with my focus on more of these moments 🥰 with putting my family and myself first! Less stress and more enjoyment of the little things. Take a million pics with my mini because she asks me to and sneak a couple pics with my Bubba because he is “too cool for his mom”😭 I know I am not the only mom and woman that struggles with slowing down and focusing on anything you want to do and not feeling the mom/woman guilt but you only have one life to live and you deserve to love it!
