shinra decided that world domination needed less of the military action and more of the idol worship route forming shinra entertainment:

Enter music producer hojo and lucrecia crescent, a genius ballad singer, who decide to make their baby the best singer in the world using completely ethical and safe means

(inject the baby with mako in hopes of the cetra working their angelic qualities into the dna)

bam bam enter sephiroth crescent, born with a voice so beautiful it can trick people into ignoring shinras war crimes. However babies unfortunately do not come with maxed out stats in dancing and performing leading to hojo plucking baby sephiroth and locking him into a long ass training period (fun! definitely won’t give the baby trauma!)

Timeskip about 9~10 years:

Congratulations miniroth! You have debuted as the first SOLDIER, a group/idol school that’s like nct where there will eventually be so many members you need a wiki page to know all their names! Sephiroth then goes to join a SOLDIER prototype band including glenn, lucia, matt, you know the drill. Those four become like day6 where they play live instruments along with just singing, with sephiroth quickly showing his massive talent. Glenn, lucia, and matt: “wtf that’s a child” however the four quickly get close with the trio teaching sephiroth how to interact with other people. Sephiroth and gang performs in rhadore with great results

headcanon performance: Glenn on piano, Lucia on violin, Matt on drums, seph vocal

Unfortunately, the quartet breaks up due to shinra war crimes in rhadore. Shinra quickly slaps a scandal on Glenn, Lucia, and Matt leading to the start of the infamous sephiroth curse within SOLDIER where anyone that becomes sephiroth’s bandmate usually ends up mysterious disappearing or involved in a scandal. Sephiroth continues as a solo singer, becoming the face of shinra and a famous artist across the planet. With a hint of mental issues of course.

timeskip, sephiroth is about 16~17years old:

shinra assigns sephiroth and two new members to become a new group called first class, the highest level of SOLDIER. Enter angeal and genesis, two 20 year olds from banora with mako in their veins and obvious sephiroth fans. At first sephiroth is wary (he doesn’t want the two to get scandal blasted) but soon the three become fast friends. Sephiroth consider the two equal in his abilities , and the trio quickly become renowned for their good ass music.

Jeonghan grinned as he spun you around into his chest. "Hi." You smile at his word and motion, looking up at him. "Hi..." A glance at the clock told you it was midnight on Valentines day. You grinned widely and looked up at him. "Road trip?" Jeonghan nodded, his own attention being drawn to the clock.

"Happy valintines day baby." He hummed before he nodded. "Where do you want to go?" He swayed with you in his hold gently, resting his chin ontop of your head.

You pursed your lips in thought as you rested your cheek against his chest, his heart beat strong in your ear. "Hmmm.....how about we just drive? Choose a direction and we just drive. Pack some clothes and when we get tired? We stop somewhere and stay there. We can shower there, sleep, eat then keep driving. We dont need a destination."

Jeonghan smiled widely. "Sounds like a dream." He pressed a kiss against the top of your head and nodding before releasing you. "Go get packed. Ill let our friends know, and our mums." You nodded and quickly disappeared into the bedroom you both shared, a grin on your lips as you shoved clothes and things into two bags. Most of it being Jeonghans clothes as youd rather be in his than your own.

You threw your bag onto your back and grabbed Jeonghans as you came back into the room just as Jeonghan appeared from the bathroom. "All done?" You nodded and grinned, repeating it back to him and biting your lip. Giddiness filling your system. The idea of a random road trip had butterflies swirling through stomach.

Your gaze locks with his as you grin at him. "Ready to go." You murmured to him as you got closer. "You let everyone know right?" He nodded, a smile on his own face. You beamed brightly as you hopped your way to the car. “C’mon Hannie.” You looked over your shoulder at him as he grabbed the keys, quickly following behind you, a smile on his face as he unlocked the car, letting you toss in the bags. 

It was well past midnight by now, about two am. You were excited. Not a place in mind, no ideas, just a road trip to anything and anywhere. Just like what you both did when you met in highschool.

The random road trips during winter and summer breaks with your friends that slowly turned into just the two of you as time went on. Sometimes you ended up skiing down the mountain snow, sometimes walking in the forest. Other times you just drove til you both decided to go home.

You slipped into the passenger seat with a small grin, watching as your boyfriend hopped into the drivers, angling yourself better so you could lean against the door and still face Jeonghan safely.

The corner of his lips quirked up into a smirk once he caught your position and gaze. "What? You gonna watch me the whole time i drive?" He teased and you rose a brow back, biting your bottom lip. "Perhaps." You laughed at the surprise on his face. Usually you werent so bold, but maybe the early hours of the morning and excitement changed it.

"Alright, ready to go?" You nodded and grabbed a blanket you had thrown in the back seat and placed it on your lap as he pulled out and started driving. Once Jeonghan's hand found its place on your lap as usual you held it tightly, smiling as you traced a line around his ring finger and the back of his hand. "Hey Hannie?" At the call of his name he glanced over with a hum. "Do you think we will be together forever?"

He grinned softly. "You will always be my forever valentine, So of course we will be." You tried to fight the blush on your cheeks, only causing his grin to turn into a smirk. "Something that small gets you all red?" He snickered quietly as he laced your fingers together.

[ARTICLE] Moon Byul hopes to be more than just the rapper of MAMAMOO

Moon Byul spent the first decade of her career as the rapper of girl group Mamamoo. She now plans to break that frame as an all-rounder artist with her first full-length solo album, “Starlit of Muse,” featuring band music, brass music and more.

“I’ve spent the last 10 years as the rapper of Mamamoo, but I didn’t want to lock myself under that title. I didn’t want to be afraid of taking new challenges,” Moon Byul said during a group interview ahead of the release of “Starlit of Muse” on Tuesday.

The group interview was held at Space Sophora, the art gallery in Jung District, central Seoul where Moon Byul also hosted her special exhibition before the release.

“This is why I started my own battle to break that frame in 2022, joining competition shows and releasing new solo albums. I think I can pack that final punch with my full-length album,” she said.

“I needed all 12 tracks in my album to fully express myself.”

The album's 12 songs come in a variety of styles and genres, including “Touchin&Movin,” the lead track featuring funky brass tunes, “Memories,” a song featuring live instrumentals and “Gold,” the artist's first English B-side.

“All the genres that I’ve tried before in my past solo lead tracks are included in ‘Starlit of Muse’,” Moon Byul said. “There’s a song similar to ‘Lunatic’ (2022), ‘C.I.T.T.’ (2022), I have a powerful song just like ‘Eclipse’ (2020) and much more.”

Moon Byul joined and took victory in JTBC’s competition show “The Second World” (2022), which saw girl group rappers such as Oh My Girl’s Mimi, WJSN’s EXY and Billlie’s Moon Sua competing.

But Moon Byul, despite her history as a singer-songwriter who has written lyrics for both her own and Mamamoo's music, is only credited as a producer on two of the album's tracks — “Like a Fool” and “After Sunset,” which Moon Byul wrote three years ago, but has been saving for her full-length release.

“I’ve only decided to put two of my own songs in the album because I wanted to be open to different perspectives — I didn’t want my album to be limited by my vocabulary and the language I use. I wanted to sing songs of love, youth and other different stories seen in different perspectives.”

Nevertheless, Moon Byul clarified that she was at the center of the album's production process, thinking of ideas and making decisions to craft an album that she, herself, would want to buy.

“When I was in a group of four, the agency gave us the big picture and we didn’t have much input in the album. When I was in a duo in Mamamoo+, I could put half of my input into the album. With a solo release, I can have all my input in the album,” Moon Byul said. “Everyone can release a bland album, so I wanted to make a fun and exciting album.”

Out of the many songs in the album, “Memories,” featuring RBW’s boy band Onewe, was Moon Byul’s favorite B-side track.

“'The Second World’ really taught me that I like band music and made me realize that I’m quite good at it,” she said. “'Memories’ is a song that fits just right in that category. It revolves around the theme of refreshing youth, and I think it will be best performed live.”

“I’m so glad and thankful to have Onewe as instrumental performers in the song, because imitating band music using synthesizers just didn’t feel lively,” Moon Byul said. “Listening to Onewe’s live performances, I could feel the liveliness, and I could sense how the band communicates with the listeners.”

But despite praising her collaborators, Moon Byul remained humble and cautious about debuting her own band.

“You know, as much as I want to start my own band, I’m very much well aware that people around me would have to suffer [in helping me],” Moon Byul said with a laugh. “I also can’t play any instruments. I think I’ll have to be ready first.”

Moon Byul hopes that fans will enjoy the merchandise she's prepared to accompany the album, including a limited-edition tote bag made out of demo and various “unique and fun” photocards.

But the most important thing, the artist said, is that she, herself, is happy with her work.

“I never felt the feelings of satisfaction as I released my previous albums, but I was truly satisfied with everything with my album as I produced it,” Moon Byul said. “So regardless of how other people judge me, I’ll be happy with my album.”

But, she emphasized, “I hope my fans will listen to the album and be proud of their favorite singer.” She added, “I hope it turns out to be an album I’m not ashamed of and one that’s worthy of Mamamoo’s name.”

Solar - How she'll do anything for you

Solar had many beautiful hot qualities but the one that always got you the most was how she always treated you with so much kindness and care.

Family events were always stressful but without Solar by your side, tonight had been positively painful. Your sister had thrown a baby shower which was fine but rather than being a small event it was a huge party lasting all weekend with a gift register for tons of non-baby related gifts and an extravagant gender reveal as if they weren’t problematic enough. Solar was meant to be with you but she'd had a sudden crisis at work meaning she couldn't be. You were fine with her work being so demanding but if you ever needed her it was this weekend and she hadn't even texted you to tell you when/if she'd be able to join you tomorrow. So you were more than a little pouty at your girlfriend when you saw security enter and go to your sister. She pointed to you across the room and the men approached. "Excuse me are you dating a girl called Solar?". You nodded "yes I am, why?". "Please follow us" they said and led you out of the party to the front of the property where Solar was handcuffed. "Solar!" you cried and she smiled seeing you "Y/n! See I told you my girlfriend was here!". "Why is she handcuffed?" you cried and the main security guard looked at you "we caught her scaling the fence and thought she was an intruder". "Scaling the fence" you said looking up at the towering metal fence and your small girlfriend "Solar what were you doing?". "Well I raced here after work because I wanted to be with you but when I got here the gates were locked. I couldn't see any intercom so I decided to hop over and that's when these guys attacked me". You smiled at how even handcuffed she was ready to take these guys on and then realised Solar hasn't even changed clothes before leaving work. You looked at her shoes and back to her "you climbed the gate in those heels?" you asked. Solar grinned "yeah, I've got a great core and arms remember?". Like you could forget! You stared at her in awe and only came back to your senses when they finally started taking her handcuffs off. Solar rubbed her wrists and you flew into her arms. "I'm so sorry I'm so late. I texted you to keep you updated" Solar said. You frowned "no you didn't..." before your phone suddenly lit up like a Christmas tree. "Only my sister would pick a venue with no signal" you sighed. Solar rubbed your arm "I know but it's pretty right". You nodded "I suppose...I still can't believe you climbed that fence for me". Solar smiled "I'd do anything for you and because I knew this wouldn't be a fun weekend for you I might've made some calls and got our room upgraded to their platinum suite". "You didn't? I thought my sister said that room was taken". Solar shrugged "yeah but not for a famous kpop idol and her girlfriend" making you blush. "I also scheduled us in some massages tomorrow after your sister's brunch because I figured we'd need it and oh would you look at that...I have to be back at work in the late afternoon so we have to leave early too and there's nothing we can do about it" Solar said smiling sweetly. "You are the woman of my dreams!" you cried picking her up and Solar laughed. "Thanks" Solar smiled kissing you softly "want to go check out that platinum suite together?". "Try and stop me" you replied and rushed away together. "Did I mention our room has a balcony and a hot tub?" Solar asked "I told them to have some champagne chilling, ready for us". You beamed "you're amazing" and Solar smiled "I know" with a wink. This weekend was suddenly looking a lot more fun.

Moonbyul - The look she gives you when she knows you want her

You'd had a crush on Moonbyul quite a while before you got together. She was just so funny and confident, you were into her long before she noticed you existed but when she did everything changed. Moonbyul was a huge flirt and much bolder than you. When she started liking you she began flirting with you and when she noticed the effect that had on you she did it even more. Until Solar told her to stop torturing you and just ask you out. Which she did and you'd been together ever since...but Moonbyul never lost her effect on you and she loved it. You were also an idol and your Twice members and the rest of Mamamoo knew you were together but nobody else did, meaning at events you had to act like you weren't together and Moonbyul loved making that difficult for you. Your groups Mamamoo and Twice were at an event together as you were ambassadors for the same company. It was for a fun female-led cosmetic company that did everything from makeup to medicinal products. You were all gathered in a studio for a photo shoot and the minute Moonbyul saw you she smiled making your cheeks flush but that wasn't the only reason. The stylists had nailed Moonbyul's vibe and had her in a beautiful red military-style suit. She looked like some sort of hot pirate and your jaw dropped at how good she looked with her straight black hair. Chaeyoung burst out laughing seeing you and Jeongyeon nudged you "Y/n close your mouth". You did quickly averting your eyes to stop your blush but could hear all your members giggling. Moonbyul knew you liked her in red and so her eyes were glued to you when you walked in and she got the ideal reaction. "You're totally going to mess with her aren't you?" Wheein asked and she grinned "Oh yeah!". Moonbyul was the first member of the group to come over and introduce herself to you all. She greeted all your members before pausing in front of you with a wide smile "Y/n isn't it?" she asked playing dumb and you nodded "yes". "Pretty name for a beautiful girl" she said and carried on down the line as if she hadn't made you blush with 6 words. Then the host asked for some photos and since Mamamoo were smaller than your group they asked for you to intermingle. Moonbyul pretended to be looking for a spot before she appeared before you and Sana "mind if I slip in?" she asked. "Be our guest" Sana said with a grin making room and you shot her a look that said "traitor" but lost that anger when Moonbyul touched your waist. "Sorry I'll just stand behind you so I don't block your gorgeous self". Moonbyul kept the hand the camera couldn't see on your waist and before they took the photo leaned in "you do look really beautiful though, so beautiful I can smuggle this suit home if you want to play with it later?" she whispered "if you want that turn your head left". You, of course, moved your head and Moonbyul laughed "I love how much you want me" and you elbowed her slightly. Moonbyul giggled "it's okay I want you too, you look so hot in that skirt" and you began coughing. "Okay Y/n why don't you stand over here where there's some air!" Jihyo called and Solar nodded shooting Moonbyul a look. Your girlfriend just grinned widely though shooting you a wicked grin. Moonbyul was dangerous and she knew it.

Wheein - Her idol side

Even though your girlfriend was an insanely successful idol you never really saw into her world much. You listened to how her day was and of course, supported all her comebacks but that was as far into the idol industry as you got, until one day 6 months into your relationship that started to change. As you both got more serious you began to rely on one another more. So when Wheein forgot her wallet she texted you asking if you could bring it to the studio for her. You'd never been before and walked inside looking around at everything with wide eyes. It all looked so fancy and expensive and it suddenly hit home what your girlfriend's profession was. You told the receptionist why you were here and she nodded telling you which room Wheein was in and knew you by name which was impressive. You wandered down the hall until you heard music and walked into a studio. You spotted Wheein immediately and froze because she looked so good! Wheein was always beautiful but it wasn't her looks that caught your eye, it was how good she was dancing. She looked effortlessly cool and whipped her hair around before casually kicking her leg up as high as your head. They were clearly rehearsing some choreo so you didn't interrupt and instead just stood by the door and admired your girlfriend. When the song finished Wheein spotted you immediately and bounded over to you. She was sweet and kind like the Wheein you knew but you couldn't get the stage Wheein out of your head! Later that same week you finished work early and texted Wheein asking if she wanted to go out to dinner. She replied saying she just had one fitting left and then could go so invited you to come over to the tailors and text you the address. The tailor's shop was cool but a lot more normal than Wheein's cool company HQ so you felt more at home...until you saw Wheein. She was on a small platform while two tailors fussed around her. It looks so professional and your mind immediately went to your favourite K-drama because she looked exactly like a high-profile CEO. You had no idea what the tailors were doing because she already looked perfect and told Wheein that as you headed out for dinner together. She just blushed and shrugged off your comment but you were serious. You finally saw the fruit of Wheein's labour the next weekend when Wheein's group were performing at a show. You'd never watched them before but wanted to support Wheein so promised you'd watch it from home and cheer her on from home. You knew Mamamoo were cool but when they took the stage everything changed. You saw everyone in the room sit up and pay attention and did the same. Wheein killed everything from vocals to dancing and of course visuals. When the performance finished you wanted more and were still watching Mamamoo performances when Wheein called you. "Hey I just got backstage, so did you like it?". "Like it?" you asked "Wheein you're amazing! You're so talented and rocked that stage. You were so hot!". Wheein giggled and then asked in a shy voice "hot huh?". You nodded before realising she couldn't see you "so hot! You looked so confident and powerful...I've been watching videos of you since the performance because I can't get enough". Wheein laughed again and you could imagine just the smile she had on her face when she asked "hmmm well how about I give you a live rendition when I get home if you liked it that much". You said yes about 10 times before Wheein promised you she'd leave as soon as she could to come home to you. It was commonly known that your girlfriend was the hottest thing in kpop and you were very much aware of that. People would always tell you how lucky you were and how beautiful Hwasa was and you agreed with them completely. However, what they didn't know was, just because you were dating the hottest woman in kpop didn't mean you knew how to cope with that. Frankly, you weren't even sure how you'd found yourself in this wonderful position but you were here and loving it. Hwasa didn't even have to do anything for you to find her attractive. Sure her beautiful singing voice and confidence were so attractive but even just seeing her cooking breakfast or coming home to her after a long day of work got your heart beating fast and your palms sweating. Hwasa claimed she didn't do it on purpose but you weren't sure you believed her. Sometimes you'd catch her smirk when she caught you watching her and figured she was aware of the effect she had on you and loved it...and you loved it too. Tonight you were at one of Mamamoo's concerts. You didn't want to be in some box on your own so Hwasa got you and Moonbyul's girlfriend front-row seats. You were having a great time when Hwasa walked out in a white dress that was totally your type. Hwasa knew that of course and also knew you loved her legs and so they were on show. Then when Maria started playing you were stunned because this was your favourite song of Hwasa's and she knew that. The glint in Hwasa's eye told you she had done all of this on purpose and you didn't know what to do. Hwasa strut around the stage, nailing the vocals and showing off her playful personality. She then started making her way into the crowd and made a beeline for you. The fans of course all went crazy and Hwasa played with them all before stopping in front of you. She made out like it was all random and she didn't know you. She sang your favourite part of the song to you, holding onto your hand and you wanted so badly to kiss her...but then Hwasa was back on stage and you thought you were safe but no. A sudden dance break was added and Hwasa performed some very hot choreography driving you crazy. When the number finished the other members all appeared and laughed muttering things to Hwasa. "That was on purpose right?" Moonbyul's girlfriend whispered in your ear. Hwasa made eye contact with you and winked making you laugh "totally on purpose". You couldn't even be mad, you were too in awe of the majesty that was your girlfriend Hwasa. Best concert of your life! _______

Ch. 27: Forward

Between hurting, crying, and cursing, Hyeri came to the conclusion that the few things she initially threw in her bag weren’t enough. While she had Yoongi locked out she packed more things expecting to be away for a while. She isn’t exactly sure how long she’ll be gone, but she wanted to make sure she was prepared.

One of her best friends and former bandmate, Haeun agreed to let Hyeri stay with her as long as she needs. Haeun is gearing up for a season of a new reality show where she will be a dance mentor for a group of young dancers looking for a big break and a spot in a music video with Mamamoo. Until the show starts shooting, she’s ready to give her maknae Hyeri her undivided attention to help heal the hurt she’s going through.

Yoongi has spent the better part of the past two hours pacing back and forth in the living room. Occasionally he’ll stop to cry, then he’ll resume pacing the floor. His heart is shattered but he knows Hyeri’s heart is in much worse shape. He hates that she doesn’t want him to find her, but he understands it. He hates that she left at all, but he understands it.

“FUCK!!!” He cries.

Silence.

Tears.

Silence.

“Hyeri,” he cries into his phone where he’s managed to start recording a voice message to her. “I’m so sorry. Please. Please tell me what I can do to make this better. I know I hurt you and I’ll live the rest of my life in misery knowing that I hurt the one person who means more to me than myself. I know you don’t want me to find you, but I just want to know you’re safe. That’s all. I deserve all of this. I fucked everything up. I hurt you so much more than you ever hurt me. I’m so fucking stupid for doing that. Please just let me know you’re safe. Talk to me. I want to talk to you. Please. When you’re ready. I love you so much, Na Hyeri. Whatever you want, tell me. I’ll give you everything you ask for. Just…please come home. Let me fix this.”

Hyeri wouldn’t normally check her phone so often while she’s on set, but today is an exception for the sake of her anxiety. She asked her manager to alert her if there are any damaging reports that come out about her being seen leaving her and Yoongi’s shared apartment. She’s been caught in one media frenzy after another and she’ll be damned if she gets caught up in another one because of Yoongi’s bullshit. Especially while she’s currently working on this drama that could possibly change her entire acting career. As soon as anything comes up about herself she wants to know so she can have it shut down quickly.

During one of her many phone breaks she sees the voice message Yoongi left her. She stares at it a moment contemplating whether she should listen to it or not. She’s still very upset and in no mood to hear anything he has to say right now. Despite that, there’s still a part of her that wants to hear it. She wants to hear his voice. She wants to know if he sounds remorseful. Of course he always does when he’s begging for her forgiveness. He always sounds like he’s using his last breath to keep her alive. Like his life would be over if she left him. But that’s why she can’t listen to his message. She knows the moment she hears his voice her heart will weaken and she’ll find herself ducking through a mob of paparazzi again to return home to him. She has to be strong this time for her own healing. She wishes she hadn’t spent most of the time while he was gone pretending like she had completely forgiven him. She could have used that time to truly heal instead. Now she’s trying to stay focused on giving a top tier performance while she’s completely broken inside.

In the meantime, the members have been trying to keep Yoongi’s spirits up. They’ve seen everything being said about him, even things Yoongi hasn’t seen himself. They know he’s having a hard time but they try to assure him things will be ok. Yoongi hasn’t responded to any of their calls or texts so far because he’s not sure what he could even say to them. Their schedules are being changed around because he’s stuck at home until the crowd of media vultures dissipate. It’s exactly the thing he didn’t want to happen. Everything he didn’t want to happen is happening and it’s all making him nauseous.

The entire day is quickly slipping away from Yoongi and he barely realizes it. He feels like he’s done a lot though he’s hardly done anything other than panic, cry, and curse, but now finally he’s managed to pull out his book and start reading to try calming his mind. The only thing that pulls him out of it is a call from Namjoon. Hoping he has information on where Hyeri is, Yoongi quickly answers.

“How are you holding up?” Namjoon asks when Yoongi picks up.

“What kind of question is that?” Yoongi huffs.

“I know, but I was calling to tell you that you don’t have to be stuck at home anymore. Manager Dojoon can come pick you up and make sure you’re not seen. We’re still working on rescheduling things, but at least you can get out.” Namjoon is trying to sound enthusiastic, but he knows that’s not the biggest thing on Yoongi’s mind right now.

“Great,” Yoongi says dryly. “At least I’ll be able to work instead of losing my mind alone.”

“That’s the spirit!” Namjoon jokes. “But really though, I know it’s hard but try to keep your head up. Everything is being taken care of.”

“Have you heard from her?”

“Hyung,” Namjoon sighs. “She’s safe.”

“You know where she is?” Yoongi asks with his desperation rising.

“No,” Namjoon says through his teeth.

Namjoon has been trying to remain a supportive neutral party when it comes to Yoongi and Hyeri’s relationship. He feels like the middle child who only wants to make sure the family doesn’t fall apart. It’s tough because like Yoongi he wants to protect Hyeri, he just wants to know where she is. He thinks she’s terrible with communication and thinking for herself at times and he wants to talk sense into her, but she wants to remain distant because she doesn’t want Namjoon telling Yoongi anything, which hurts him. On the other hand, he is one more damaging rumor away from strangling Yoongi. So far 3 people have claimed to have been intimate with Yoongi over the course of their tour. Whether they’re telling the truth or not doesn’t matter, because just knowing Yoongi was with anyone at all other than Hyeri is upsetting to him. Still, he’s trying his best to remain neutral. His absolute best.

“She won’t tell me where she is because she doesn’t want me to tell you,” Namjoon adds.

“I’m sorry,” Yoongi remorsefully says. “To you. To her. To Jin, Hoba, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkookie, all of you, I’m so sorry. I’m trying so hard to make things better but I keep getting pushed back by the shit I got into in the past.”

“I know, hyung,” Namjoon says softly. He knows Yoongi well enough to know he’s sincere and there’s no question in his mind of it, but he still hurts. Yoongi’s actions have caused a lot of problems and it seems like they’re going to get worse before they get better.

“Help me,” Yoongi pleads. “Help me make things right. I’ll do anything.” He pauses. “Help me get her back.”

“Everyone is looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,” Namjoon says ignoring Yoongi’s plea for Hyeri.

“Namjoon…”

“Hyung I can’t get into this,” Namjoon sighs. “When it comes to Rainbow I can’t. You have to do this on your own. As far as me and the rest of the members, we’re excited to have you back. We always miss you and just want you to be happy and healthy, you know that.”

“I know. I lo-“ Yoongi’s breath hitches. “I love you, all of you guys. I’ll spend my life making this right I swear.”

“She just needs time and space. I can’t tell you how to fix things, but…give her the time she needs.”

“I understand. It’s…so hard, Namjoon.”

“It’s hard for everyone.”

“I’m so sorry,” Yoongi repeats. “I was such a different person then. I was so stupid.”

“What’s done is done, hyung. You can’t fix things if you’re still beating yourself up about all of your mistakes. You can’t take them back, you know that, so look forward. I can’t lie and say none of us have been hurt or upset because of the things you’ve done, but it’s done. We know you’re sorry, we’ve accepted your apology and forgiven you, we just want our family back together. That’s all. Focus on what you can do now. Hyeri will come around in her own time and whatever she decides to do next is up to her, but you can’t rush her healing process.” Namjoon hates being so close to both of them because he feels like he hurts twice as much because of it.

“Namjoon,” Yoongi says softly. His eyes are welling with tears and he’s fighting really hard to keep them from falling. “I’m so grateful for you. You are the best leader, friend, and brother. Thank you.”

Everything Namjoon said is what Yoongi needed to hear to guide him away from his cycle of grief and regret. Yoongi already knows all of this. He knows he can only focus on what he can do and he knows forgiveness is something that takes time and he can’t force it. It’s a journey for every individual to get through in their own way. For whatever reason, it never occurred to Yoongi to apply this knowledge to his current situation. It’s easy to know something, but hard to tell yourself when you need to hear it most.

Yoongi doesn’t know what he’d do without his brothers. Namjoon sparked a new light within him to focus on the future, starting with responding to the ignored messages from them all. He apologized to each one individually and expressed how much he loves them. He vows to do better and that he’s eternally thankful for their love and support. He then sends a message to Hyeri. He doesn’t expect her to respond, she didn’t respond to his voice message so he’s sure she’s ignoring him, but he sends the message anyway. There’s nothing more he can say that he hasn’t already said to her, so he keeps it simple.

[Yoongi]: From now on I will do everything I can to make sure you never question my love for you again. I love you.

Hyeri sees Yoongi’s message as she’s about to leave the set for the night. She still can’t get herself to listen to the voice message he left, and considering how her heart skipped a beat at his text, she knows it’s for the best.

With Haeun, Hyeri feels comfortable enough to share all of her feelings that she’s going through. They’re best friends and have been through a lot together. Haeun is always a direct yet considerate person. No one ever has to guess what her feelings are about any situation, but she has a way of softening her words for Hyeri. Sometimes being too blunt can upset Hyeri, so Haeun makes sure to not cross that line.

Hyeri tells Haeun everything that’s been going on. Months of heartache and pain come spilling out of her for the first time. Every single feeling of pain she tried to ignore, every moment she thought she had forgiven Yoongi, every time she really really wished she did forgive him, it all came barreling towards Haeun as she poured Hyeri a glass of wine. She knew there were problems between Hyeri and Yoongi but she didn’t know to what extent. The more Hyeri speaks the more Haeun realizes she hasn’t had anyone to talk to for support. It’s clear Yoongi is that for her, but when he’s the problem Hyeri feels she has nowhere to go so she holds it in and tries to handle it on her own, which clearly hasn’t been doing her any good.

Haeun encourages Hyeri to let go of everything she’s feeling, then makes Hyeri promise she won’t hold things in like this again. Haeun is supportive and also tells Hyeri that she needs to be honest with herself first and foremost. Only she will know if she can work past Yoongi’s infidelity and find trust in him again, not sometimes but all the time. Haeun reminds Hyeri that she can stay as long as she needs, but she knows how much Hyeri loves Yoongi and she encourages her to listen to her heart.

It all seems like fairytale advice to Hyeri in the moment. Of course she should listen to her heart, but is listening to her heart supposed to hurt this much? Her heart is what had her thinking she forgave Yoongi when she hadn’t. Is listening to her heart really the best advice? She’s thankful that Haeun will let her stay at her place as long as it takes her to figure it out because she thinks it will certainly take some time.

Yoongi was picked up and taken to the company building the next day just as Namjoon said. Manager Dojoon let him know that there was something that needed to be taken care of before Yoongi could head off to his studio.

A drug test.

Yoongi thinks it’s absolutely fucking absurd that he has to take a drug test. He thought they would know better than to believe random people spreading rumors online, but due to his previously hidden alcoholism they just wanted to be sure before releasing a statement and taking legal action against those spearheading the drug rumors. It’s annoying but Yoongi complies knowing he has nothing to hide and knowing he’s the reason for this in the first place. After embarrassingly handing over a cup of his urine to the person administering the drug test, Yoongi retreats to his studio hoping to not be seen the rest of the day.

A couple of hours into working, Hobi comes by to check in on Yoongi. He can tell Yoongi hasn’t had much sleep, but other than that he looks fine on the outside. Hobi doesn’t want to get into things that may bring the mood down, so he only discusses music. Their new songs, plans for promo appearances on various shows, things of that nature. Yoongi knows that’s what he’s doing and he’s thankful for it. They go over lyrics, give feedback on a few mixes, and talk about how excited they are for this album. Yoongi apologizes for causing their schedules to be rearranged but Hobi assures him it’s not a big deal. Truthfully Hobi enjoyed the unexpected rest this created so he instead thanks Yoongi for that with his contagious laughter.

After talking to Namjoon and now Hobi, Yoongi feels a bit lighter. The others have only sent texts so far, but he can still feel their forgiveness and support. The guys have each gone through their own process of forgiving Yoongi over time, building their trust back isn’t easy, but everyone is on the mend. Yoongi is happy, he just wishes he could have one more person’s forgiveness.
