domestic!ellie who finds herself being completely smitten by you during your weekly movie night. ✧.*
a short and quick one-shot ౨ৎ ˖ ࣪⊹
Palestine resources !!
DVD's litter the mahogany coffee table in messy arrays of colors and titles as you search for a specific disc for tonight's movie night. It wasn't a movie you and ellie had watched together yet, but you knew it was somewhere in your collection as you hunched over the edge, eyeing each and every disc the two of you owned.
"does it really take this long to pick a movie, babe?" ellie would tease, clicking her tongue as she set down two of your blankets on the couch behind you before crossing her forearms over the crown of your head and resting her chin on them. a huff leaves your lips at her comment as you tilt your head upwards, her playful gaze meeting yours through your lashes and her messy bangs.
"hey, you choose the same movie every week. You have absolutely no room to talk," you quip back, a fond look in your eyes as you watch her chuckle in amusement before glancing back down and finally spotting the DVD you had been searching for. "aha! found it!" you cheer, holding the disc up for ellie to see.
"...mama-mia? babe, I swear if this is one of those musicals you like.-"
"you'll love it. promise." you interrupt, a giddy chime in your voice as you carefully shake her off and get up to insert the beloved disc into the waiting dvd player. seeing your excitement, ellie only shook her head while letting out a playful overdramatic sigh.
"atleast pick up your mess first."
──
so maybe ellie did "love" it, but not because of the plot nor the abundance of ABBA classics. Instead it was because of the way it seemed to bring you so much joy as you smiled from ear to ear and you sang along to each and every song while commenting on little parts of the movie she otherwise wouldn't have picked up on. it was endearing, and although you were generally a rather bright person, she couldn't help but admire the genuine light in your eyes as you watched the film she had learned was your favorite.
her sketchbook was on her lap, her gaze flickering from you down to the page every so often as she scribbled down little doodles of you singing or mimicking certain actions from the characters on screen. you were too busy attempting to harmonize with "donna and the dynamites" to super trooper, that you didn't notice the way her attention was solely on you as she drew a portrait of your side profile. the light from the screen illuminated your features, accentuating the curves and edges of your face with a soft glow that she swore made you look almost ethereal. in the moment you were her muse, regardless of whether your voice cracked or went off key, and all she wanted to do was capture this moment and live in it forever.
"you're not paying attention, els." she hears you whine as your attention finally shifts back to ellie who was still sketching away in her sketchbook.
"Of course I am," she responds, looking up at the screen for a second and realizing she didn't actually know what was going on as she watched sophie help one of the three men crawl out of under a table. you raise a brow at her and she gives you a sheepish smile in return as she puts her sketchbook to the side and signals for you to lean closer to her to which you happily ablige.
"doesn't seem like it," you hum, sneaking a glance at the open book at ellies side before shifting slightly to rest your head against her chest. her arm wraps around your waist, her fingers gently resting on your stomach as she presses a kiss to your forehead.
"but I am, promise." she responds, deciding to finally pay attention to the film despite her fingers itching to finish her drawing. It was a habit she had picked up during her time with Joel, always sketching little pictures of things she found interesting in the films and writing down quotes she would later recite to the older man whenever there was a chance to reference them. she found herself doing that less nowadays but it was still something she enjoyed doing, especially in special situations like these where it was you she was drawing instead.
as the movie neared it's end, she found that maybe she could appreciate the plot even if it was rather odd in her opinion. your singing had quieted down to small hums as you slowly began to drift off against ellie's chest, the rise and fall of her chest lulling you into a sense of comfort despite your attempts to stay awake until the end of the movie. she would definitely tease you about it tomorrow morning, especially after all the times you swore you'd stay up despite your track record of falling asleep. It was cute, a sweet moment she wouldn't replace with anything in the world.
she brushes a stray strand of hair from your face, a fond look in her eyes at her feather light touch before she carefully reaches for her sketchbook with the hand that wasn't holding you to her.
she flips it open to the page she had been drawing on before scribbling something down in messy handwriting under your portrait.
"Mamma mia, here I go again ,, My, my, how can I resist you?"
it was dumb, and the song didn't necessarily fit the situation, but she knew you'd get a kick out of it the day she'd finally show you the sketchbook filled with pictures of you.

The ask about Abby getting ready for the dance and Bucky picking her up was so cute!!!
What is the dance like? Does she have the time of her life? Does her bully (was it Justin?) try to say something mean but Bucky steps up and talks to the dad? Do the teachers try to flirt with Bucky?
Please feel free to ignore!
Bucky and Abby walk into the classroom, hand in hand. "Dis my scoonroom." As they enter, Abby's teacher, Ms. Grace is there to greet them. "Abby. Mr. Barnes. Welcome!"
"Hi, Ms Grace!" Turning to Bucky, "Ms Grace is my favorite teacher."
Blushing, "That's so sweet, honey. Don't you look so pretty in that dress."
"My Mama buys it for me!" She swishes her hips to make the skirt sway. Ms. Grace leans down to stick a name tag on Abby's chest & when she starts to apply a sticker to Bucky's lapel, Abby starts hopping. "Oh, I gets it! I can do's it!" She holds her hand out for the sticker. "I can puts it on."
Not thinking anything, Ms Grace smiles and hands her the sticker. "You're such a good little helper. Thank you, Abby."
"You melcome!" Abby takes Bucky's hand and he kneels down so she can put his name tag on. "Dere you goes. What it says?"
Bucky looks down, " It says James Barnes."
Frowning "Who James?"
"I'm James."
"No, you not. Yous Bucky." Abby shakes her head & is ready to peel his sticker off.
He clasps her hand in his, "Only my friends can call me Bucky."
Abby's eyes go wide & her little jaw drops, " I's call you Bucky!" He smiles and nods.
*****
Soon, Abby is joined by her 2 best friends, Chloe and Mia along with their fathers. The fathers are welcoming to Bucky. This afternoon he wasn't some Avenger, he was a Girl Dad like the rest of them. As the classroom fills up, the group makes their way to the food table, making sure their girls have snacks and refreshments.
There are some single mother who accompany their daughters to the dance. A couple make their way over to Bucky. "Sergeant Barnes, we were so excited to hear you'd be attending."
Abby taps her chest, "He's my dates."
One forward mother, places her hand on Bucky's arm, leaning in to whisper, "You're like a celebrity."
Abby squeezes between them, "he not c'brity," dislodging the woman's hand. Abby holds his hand in 2 of her smaller ones.
In false sugary tones, "Oh, who is this?"
Abby points to her name tag, "It says Abigail."
"Oh Bucky, she's so precious."
"You need to go scoon. Cans you read? His name is James," says Abby, pointing to his sticker.
Bucky tries to hold back his laugh, "Very good, Abby. My name is James."
"She can't calls you Bucky. She not fwends."
Bucky scoops her up, "Excuse us ," and he takes her back to the table with her friends. Most of the time is spent with the dad's doting on the girls or them just watching the 3 girls play and interact.
After refreshments, music is played and the dancing begins. Bucky has already been a part of many after dinner Dance Parties so him and Abby have their routine down.
That one mother, positions herself close to Bucky. "You're such a good dancer." Bucky smiles & Abby jumps in, "Cos my Mama and him dance all the time. My Mama dance so goods."
"Maybe you can show me some moves," she flirts with Bucky.
"No, he cannot. He dancing wit me."
"I'm sure you don't mind sharing."
Shaking her head and glaring, "No tank you. I don't wike sharing wit you "
Bucky covers up his laugh with a cough. "Abby."
The woman gives Abby a tight smile, "Maybe the next dance."
"No. He cannot. We going home to Mama and you can't comes."

Best friends little sister Pt. 4
It was another EXHAUSTING week!! Faking it all in front of Pedri who really took a liking of Jacobo, Pablo who hated him more than any madridista and even my family who came into town for Ballon Dior..ugh fuck!
"How are you explaining your fake boyfriend why he's not your date tonight girl??" Masa teased cause she was the only one who knew the real truth..I was doing all this to get Pablo's reaction obviously!!! I turned the music up so nobody downstairs can hear it.
"He's technically a real boyfriend, you know that right???" I chuckle as she finished my makeup spraying some perfume onto my chest.
"Not the kind you let between your thighs!!!" she laughed loudly and I rolled my eyes looking in the mirror thinking of the last time I was intimate..it was with Pablo obviously..and it made my head spin..fuck I missed him!!!
"Shut up loca!!!" I push her and we both laugh dancing to the music until my mom called from downstairs wanting pictures..surely Pablo arrived too. I wondered what he might say when he sees me in this dress..it was looking stunningly perfect on my body.

pedrisister: she's stunning 😍😍😍
ballond'ior: gorgeous ❤️
masa.babyy: my makeup slaysss!!!
gavira.babyy.girls: @pablogavi do you think she's beautiful? liked by pablogavi
gavi.pablo: omg he liked!!😳😳😳
jacobo_bru: mia bebaaa!!
gavi.y.n.cute: shut up she doesn't even like you!!
gaviragirls: she matching pablo's suit??🤔
gavibabyy: omg you're right!! pedri wears black and gavi blue 😳
I walked down the stairs in my high heels and Pablo stood there utterly mesmerized..he looked at every curve on my body smiling when he saw my blushed face..damn why was my heart racing so much!??
Just as I was about to step off the last stair, I almost fell but Pablo caught me saying "careful pequeñita" while Masa giggled excusing herself and leaving home. Damn did I really fall straight into his arms!?
After a few pictures and me freaking out every time Pablo's arm wrapped around my waist, did I walk with my mom to the kitchen while we waited for the limo.
"Princesita mia..your heart aches for that boy" she said and I thought she was talking about Jacobo telling her to stop teasing me but then she held my hand and I looked at her gaze towards Gavi. I gulped..was I too obvious?
"Mom, that's Pedri's best friend..and I'm with Jacobo" Isay as she raised up my chin caressing my soft cheek .
"Jacobo is a good boy..very kind..but it doesn't matter what this tells you.." she touched my temple and then rested her hand on my heart "if this doesn't agree.." and then they called my name to join them.
"I love you mama" you say and she smiles nodding and watching as you left with the two boys for the ceremony.
I were sitting between them the whole night feeling Pablo's stare on me most of the times. He was shamelessly looking like I still belonged to him..it pissed me off..but it also made me wet underneath my dress.
"How's Jacobo?" he whispered during a break when Pedri went to grab some water and I rolled my eyes clenching my jaw in annoyance. He's playing with me on purpose but I wasn't gonna let him win!!!
"He's absolutely fine, thank you for asking!" I sass but Pablo was only encouraged to move closer resting his chin on my shoulder and whispering into my ear. I froze from that familiar manly scent and his warm breath.
"I'm sure he's fine..but what about you nena??? I know how your beautiful dark eyes sparkle..when you're satisfied" he whispered the last part under his breath and I fought an urge to moan..damn he was good at this!!!
"Hmm I love looking into your eyes so much..but my favorite is the way they shine just as you're about to cum..holding onto me tightly and begging..papi please don't let me go..hmm and I wouldn't..I wouldn't let you go for anything in the world cielo" the more he talked the wetter I got slowly closing my eyes and enjoying myself. When I heard the last part, I sobered up..I moved away from him.
"But you did let me go..remember?" you say and he pouted about to reach for your hand but you pulled away.
"Cielo..." he said but my eyes were once again becoming sad...I need to stop playing with him...I just end up hurt every time.
"No! I need to use the bathroom!!!" you say getting up and passing Pedri as Pablo followed after you.
"Where are you guys going??? It's starting again soon!!!" he said but Pablo said he needed to use a bathroom really quickly...he couldn't handle you crying again!!!
I came out and someone grabbed me and glued me against the wall...I knew who it was...and I refused to look up into his eyes. I was so tired of all of this...I keep lying...and I just want him to let me go now!!!
"Please...don't touch me...let me go Pablo...stop playing with me finally!!!" I screamed not caring where I was and his hand covered my moth as he rested his forehead against mine.
"Do you really think I like this!!? Seeing you with that idiot when you're meant to be mine!!? You purposefully sitting on his lap when I'm there...but not even commenting on your pictures together!!! Stop doing this to me cielo...please" he whispered the last part removing his hand and holding my chin instead.
"What do you want!??" I say feeling his lips on my cheek as his hand moved down my dress into a slit on my thigh...I felt a shiver move down my spine...his touch felt so familiar, so right and I didn't have the strenght to stop him.
"You cielo...only you...fuck!!! You're drenched!!! Let me hear you moan my name one last time preciosa..I know how much I make you lose control..." he started massaging circles around your clothed clit and you moved closer whimpering into his ear until finally you weren't able to hold it any more.
"P..Pablo" you moaned throwing your head back but he caught it in his big hand before you could hit the wall smiling while kissing your forehead. You heard the audience applaud pulling away as you both rushed knowing you were just late to one of the most exclusive events in history!!!
When Pablo won something in me melted and tear left my eyes...despite everything I was so proud of him. The entire time he spoke he was looking straight at me smiling when he saw me crying happily.
While waiting for Pedri, Pablo took my hand and us two danced in the middle of the parking lot like two idiots laughing like it was the very first time we met...I missed this...missed him.
"Congrats on the award...i always knew you were amazing" I said afterwards and he stopped moving snaking his arms around my waist and pulling me closer.
"Please forgive me..I'll explain everything" he said looking straight into my eyes and I don't know why but I believed him...I wanted to believe him remembering my mom's words...Pablo is the only one my heart aches for.
There was no second guessing in what came next. I moved closer and kissed his lips as he held me tightly in his arms...this was right...this is where I belong!!!
After the event, you came back home never happier only to find Jacobo in your room with a grim expression on his face. Well, fuck!!!

Ballon D'ior Ceremony
Thank you for everything @ballondior ❤️❤️❤️
comentarios:
pedri: congrats hermano! i swear she cried when you won 😂😂😂
y.n.gonzalez: I did not!!!
pablogavi: I saw you did pequeñita!!!
gavirafans: look at them!!!😍😍😍
gavi.pablo: it's clear she's happier with you !
gavithebest: say bye bye @jacobo_bru 😂😂😂
aurorapaezg: I love the dress 😍😍😍
y.n.gonzalez: thank you💗💗💗
"Jacobo, it's really late...and I am..." I couldn't even finish the sentence as he was already throwing a phone into my face.
"Tired!!? Sure you are! Hooking up with Pablo Gavi!!!" I almost choked when I saw what's on the screen. It was an older picture...but it was me and Pablo kissing behind the bleachers...it was after El Classico when I wore his shirt. What the fuck!!! Who took this picture!???
Pedri heard Jacobo from his room clenching his fists and rushing to Pablo's house. Never before did he doubt, but now he was aching for a fight if it was true!!!
"Where did you get this picture???" you ask but Jacobo was in no mood to explain grabbing his phone rather roughly.
"I should have known!!! I asked you if you ever had anything with Pablo Gavi and you lied to my face!!! It makes sense what people online are saying!!!" he was yelling and I trembled really wanting him to just leave at this point.
"He's my brother's best friend, so I couldn't say anything about it but we ended things when I got into a relationship with you" I said trying to defuse the situation.
"Some relationship this is! You won't even let me touch you!! And Pablo Gavi surely already did that!!!" he was starting to get closer and I didn't feel good about it...no I felt uncomfortable...nervous...scared.
Meanwhile, Pedri was banging on Pablo's door being met by half asleep Aurora asking if everything is alright. He rushed inside as Pablo came down the stairs in his pajamas and messy hair.
"We need to talk!" he said and Pablo led him upstairs into his room while his sister retreated back to sleep.
"What happened hermano???" Pablo asked as Pedri sat down running his hadn't nervously through his hair.
"Jacobo and Y/n are fighting...over you" he said and Pablo nodded being patient to see what made his friend came all the way over here...but more importantly he disliked that Pedri left you alone with that idiot!!!
"I'll only say this once Gavi, she's my sister...she's off limits" Pedri spoke calmly although Pablo could tell he was just ready to explode...this was not the right moment for truth...so he did only thing he could...he lied.
"I would never do anything to hurt you or Y/n hermano..." was all Pablo said hating himself internally although it was partially true. He never wanted to hurt Pedri but what he felt for me was undeniable...something he couldn't let go off even when he tried pushing me away.
"Bueno. I should go back then..." just as he said that his phone rang and I was on the other line crying.
"I'm going to kill that son of a bitch!!!" Pedri yelled telling Pablo what happened as they both went back seeing me crying in the corner of my room with a prominent bruise on my cheek.
"How did this happen hermana???" he asked while Pablo sat on the floor applying ice pack onto my cheek as I held his hand.
"He came closer and when I tried to push him off he pushed me and I fell and hit the nightstand...I just saw blood on my hand and called you" I explained crying in Pablo's arms while Pedri was ready to hunt Jacobo down in that moment.
My parents came back from their dinner and I begged Pedri to tell them while I get decent before coming down. He left and Pablo stayed helping me to the bathroom. WhenI was finally alone, I hugged him tightly crying into his chest while he held my head against him reassuring me that everything will be fine.
"I know about the picture Pablo..." I whisper looking up at his surprised eyes as we both knew this will sooner or later have to come out scared of the outcome.

Jack request: He buys you concert tickets to Peso Pluma. 🤭
A/N: Changed it into him buying the tickets for Mia. Iykyk 🤪
Jack was dreading this surprise, he was even trying to put off buying the damn tickets in the first place. He claims his little girl is just that, little and she doesn’t need to be obsessing over another man’s music, in his selfish eyes, his kids should only be excited about his music.
“Mia, can you come over here real quick bug? Daddy has a surprise for you.” You yell out.
Jack takes a deep sigh, “Do I have to?”
You roll your eyes, smile at him and squeeze his hand. “You can always give the tickets to me.”
He scoffs, “Hell no.”
You laugh, “Why?”
“You’re my cheerleader, I don’t want to see you singing another man’s songs, only mine.”
You shake your head in amusement. “Silly daddy.”
“I got your daddy right he-heyyyy bug.” He immediately pushes your hand off and sits up.
“Nice save.” You Shake your head again. You watch your husband as he’s looking and smiling at your daughter.
Mia smiles, “Hi?” She looks around “What’s going on?”
You wait for Jack to say something, but all he does is stare at her, his thumb and pointer finger holding his chin.
You cough and elbow him softly, “Jackman.”
He sighs, “You know how your birthday is next week?”
Mia nods, “I’m turning ten”
You and Jack share a look, you can’t believe your first born is already going to turn ten. Time is a thief and you can’t help but feel emotional.
“Well.” Jack begins, “We got you a little something.”
“But my birthday is not today.” Mia says, confused.
You smile at her, “We know, pero tu papá te compro algo que no puede esperar hasta tu cumpleaños.”
Mia instantly turns to stare at her dad in questioning, her eyebrows furrowed, lip tucked in. It’s like looking at a copy of Jack. “What is it?”
“Just a few things that you needed.” Jack tells her, standing up and heading behind the couch to grab the little basket you helped him fix.
Mia gasps, “It’s so pink.”
Jack shrugs, “I couldn’t find anything in purple so your second favorite color had to do.”
“I love it, thank you daddy.”
Jack chuckles, “You haven’t even seen what it is yet.”
“I know, but thank you.”
“Alright.” Jack says, and motions for Mia to sit down on the couch. “I’m going to put it on your lap okay?”
Mia nods excitedly. “I’m ready.”
Jack turns to you giving you a sad smile, all you can do is give him a small nod and wink.
“Alright, here you go.” He tells her as he puts a pink envelope on her lap. “You can open your eyes now.”
Mia opens her eyes, smiles at her daddy then looks down to her lap. “What is it?”
You and Jack share a chuckle, “Well open it and find out.”
It took less than five seconds for Mia to tear it open and gasped at what she read.
“OH MY GOD.” She jumps out of her seat. “IS THIS REAL???”
You nod, “Your daddy has been getting close to him and he was nice enough to invite you to his show.”
“Well technically he said I should bring my family and I went and bought the tickets.” Jack sassily says.
Mia jumps up and down. “THIS IS THE BEST GIFT EVER!!!!!!” She yells.
A grumpily Ezequiel comes walking into the living room. “Was going on? I sleeping.” As he scrubs his eyes.
“Cheesy look.” Mia runs to her brother showing her the tickets. “Daddy got me tickets to go see my boyfriend.”
“Aht aht, none of that.” Jack says sternly.
Mia rolls her eyes. “But you say that one girl from the show is your girlfriend when you’re married to mama.”
You chuckle and raise your eyebrows, “She got you there.”
Ez groans, “you wokes me up just for that?”
“Cheesy, this is important.” She shoves the tickets to his face. “It’s Peso Pluma.”
EZ gasps, “We seeing Peyso sing?”
You chuckle, “You and your daddy say his name the same.”
Jack and Ezequiel both roll their eyes. “So bug, you think you got time tonight to go see his concert?”
Mia chuckles, “I have no plans.” she quickly gasps and turns to look at you “Mamma, I need a spiderman mask”
You nod, “I got you covered with that.”
Mia smiles and starts jumping around the house, singing along to a few songs of Peso Pluma. You can’t help but smile and watch her get excited.
Jack sighs and sits down next to you, “I wish she’d get that excited for my shows.”
He probably didn’t think Mia would hear him, but that little girl did and that comment made her stop in her tracks. She runs immediately to Jack. “Daddy.”
“Yeah?”
“You know I get excited about your shows too.”
Jack is surprised, “You do?”
Mia nods, “Mommy says it’ll get to your head-”
“WHAT?” Jack gasps.
You shyly shrug but let Mia continue. “I’m your biggest fan, I like Peso, but you’re my daddy. You know how cool that is?”
“Ugh, I go mimis.” Ez lazily mumbles.
“Anyway.” Mia rolls her eyes, “I love you and you need to learn how to share.”
“I know how to share.”
You and Mia snort. “You get jealous fast.”
“I do not.”
You nod, “You do babe.”
“Whatever, I just want you girls to myself.”
“Daddy, we don’t have to go if you’re gonna feel weird.”
Your heart tugged at her suggestion, that’s who Mia was, thoughtful and respectful, even if it meant putting her feelings aside. Your soon to be ten year old daughter was more caring and loving than most adults.
Jack smiles at her. “Nah, I’m totally okay with it bug.”
Mia hugs him. “Okay good.”
“Plus.” Jack starts. “I may or may not be working on a song with him.”
“OMG WHAT?” Both Mia and you gasp out while Jack is smirking with his arms crossed.
“You’ll have to wait and see.”
Mia chuckles, “Yup, coolest dad ever.

LITA Ep. 5 Rewatch Thoughts Part 2
Phayu is looking WAY too happy to be called a bastard
Idk this shot is just funny
AHHHH It's our other resident cutie!! I missed you Prapai <3 Also yay for P' Aon and P' Saifah my beloveds
The exchange between Prapai and P' Saifah is so funny and I wish we'd gotten to explore the twins' and Prapai trio more in the show. That would've been so fun! As it stands take a P' Saifah side-eyeing self-proclaimed VIP Prapai
Ah so P' Saifah did hear things last night (poor him). Also I'mma need everyone to stop calling Phayu names when all he does is be a SIMP
If the beast was actually a puppy, sure. I'm not sure these boys know how metaphors work.
Poor Sky's world is about to get a lot windier with turbulence. It's not time for us to talk about that yet though. Also peep the manga collection, I stan
HE EVEN SNEEZES LIKE A KITTY I CAN'T HANDLE THIS CUTENESS
P' Phayu you're hilarious - wdym germ-spreader as if you don't literally stick your tongue down his throat in circa 5 minutes
Man is really gunning to impress the in-laws - do you see this smirk?? He knows he's won their favor (at least Mama Rain's so far). Poor Rain can feel himself being replaced as the favorite son >.<
I just know Phayu's inner-self is SCREAMING rn at seeing his triangle being so treasured by Rain. This is probably what prompted that very "you are my fate and the heavens themselves brought us together and ilysm" musical number coming up later on. Also for the millionth time, Boss has v nice hands heh
I love how utterly hypnotized Rain looks every time Phayu gets close to him. obsessed with this set of expressions, actually!
Why is Rain saying 'mia' with that look on his face so powerful?? Phayu sir how did you hold back from immediately smothering his face with kisses bc I certainly couldn't be that strong
Phayu I'm going to slap you bc what is this behavior?
Rain is understandably not ok. Noeul did a spectacular job here of giving us subdued shock and realistic tearing up. Generally speaking, he's a good crier (even in ep 3 I think he portrayed it well without overdoing it).
I love how they gave us dramatic thunder in the background to really impart the gravity of the situation. Foley artist I continue to love u <3
They also really went hard with the triangle imagery in this episode, or maybe that's just me seeing things. I do love how Rain's first instinct to get out of any Situation is to grab Phayu's arm.
"It's time to stop studying each other." Yeah ok say it without looking at Rain's lips like 50 times first, coward
You can see the tear track and Noeul does this little nose twitch here that's giving me poor meow meow. Even Phayu couldn't resist touching
Rain: is this clown serious rn?? we're talking about the WEATHER???
The audacity?!
Rain looks so distressed here, my poor son :(
He finally breaks and we get to see that oh-so-adorable-only-for-Rain nose crinkle. Phayu is lucky he's so cute or Rain would've pouted for a lot longer
Rain just went at him with the softest pillow in his arsenal. He's too nice.
I know every single one of you went back to the shot earlier of his clearly unmarked back when you first watched this. I should know. I squinted for like 5 full minutes. Phayu you're a liar :(
Rain hits him some more, and Phayu says he's already won. I really think this man looks wayyyy too smug, someone (Rain) should do something about it.
And we're back to the neck cradling. I continue to admire how quickly Rain just loses himself (as shown by his suddenly very focused on Phayu's face gaze)
To the next part we go!! Lots of sweetness ahead :)

In Defense of The Film "Mama Mia!" Nostalgia Critic's Worst Review of All Time.
Remember when Doug reviewed Atlantis: The Lost Empire a while back and for his closing argument he said "Fuck you, I like it."
That statement applies to me when it comes to my feelings involving the 2008 film, Mama Mia! Not because the film is flawless, because it's not, but because Rob Walker on many occasions has said that Mama Mia is (and I believe still is) his second least favorite film of all time. That's..ridiculous and just plain absurd after all the films he and his brother reviewed in the past fifteen-ish years.
You're telling me that Mamma Mia is worse than many of the live action remakes? Worse than The Nutcracker that had offensive, WWII themes? Worse than Freddie Got Fingered? Worse than Bio-Dome? Worst than Battle Field Earth? WORSE THAN THE LAST AIR BENDER??? A LITERAL 1/10 FILM THAT GETS NOTHING RIGHT???
So yeah, out of all the films NC has ever reviewed, this film specifically triggers me the most because it is very clear to me that Doug and Rob did not grow up with the music. If they had, they would see the connection the songs have to the plot of the film along with the other many great things about it.
Ok, so here's my argument when it comes to Dougs criticisms of this film. I'll start with the connection of the songs and how they correspond to the films plot. I have been listening to ABBA for all my life (over twenty-ish years), so if there is an ABBA expert that can connect the dots, it's me.
"I Have A Dream" (The Opening song) - Sophie describes her dream to have her father at her wedding to feel like her life is complete. Hence the "I have a dream" song connecting with her desire to have the perfect family, even if she fails. "If you see the wonder, of a fairy tail," (Her wedding), "we can take the future, even if we fail," (the risk she's taking to find her father.)
2. "Honey Honey" (Track 2) - Has Sophie singing (and switching between) her desire to know who her father is and how Donna, Sophie's mother, felt about each of the men she dated at the time. The song "Honey Honey," as someone who has listened to all of ABBA's music is one of their most basic and, admittedly, most forgetful songs during the time the band was still active, but in this context of the film, it works. This song is written in a particular way to describe the persons desire and longing for excitement through someone important to them. This is one of the more controversial song choices in the film due to it's obscurity, but again, it still fits the the theme of the scene despite how unpopular the track is.
Ok, since I have made two, long analyzes of the opening two songs, I am going to start skipping around and talk about the tracks I feel Doug has the most shit towards when they did overall have meaning to the plot. I'm hoping that, after these first two entries, you'll just take my word for it because I can, in theory, write how every song fit the themes of the film, but I not's gonna do that cause, you know, I unfortunately can't be here all day.
3. "Mama Mia" - Donna sings about how she was cheated by the three men who showed up randomly one day and has not seen in years. The "Mama Mia, here I go again" line is suppose to represent Donna reliving her past and how it not only thrills her, but also makes her remember how sad she was when she "learned they were through," like the song suggests.
4. "Super Trooper" - A song that describes how "beams are going to find me, but I won't feel blue, like I always do, cause somewhere in the crowd there's you." Donna's song is suppose to represent the relationship she has with her daughter and how she will always be there for her and will be subconsciously looking for her daughter through the "beams" (Donna being on a stage singing also ties into this nicely.) even when she is not there anymore. If your a mother who had their daughter move out for the first time, but you feel like she is somehow still there, this can definitely be relatable to you.
5. "Does Your Mother Know" - Tanya has a conversation with this kid (an adult who is a kid to her) who might or might not have had a one night stand with Tanya the previous night. Tanya sings and asks if "his mother knows that she's out." Implying that his mother would be extremely upset by his endeavors to seduce a woman who is much older than him...Doug, this is basic shit man, come on.
Last one. Again, another easy one to decipher if you grew up with the songs.
6. "Take A Chance On Me" - Two writers, Rosie and Bill who are written to be lone wolves "take a chance" on each other and fall in love. Done, easy.
These are just six examples as to how all of the songs from ABBA fit into the film. Again, it is very clear to me that Doug does not understand the songs or what they mean in context. I don't remember if he ever said he listened to the band at all during his life...but to me it felt like he hadn't. If he did, I felt like he would have connected to the songs more. I say this because when my mom and I went to go see this film in theaters three times when it came out. The whole audience (for me anyway) was laughing their asses off because of the jokes that correlated with the songs. Dancing Queen is one such example.
Anyways, one of my biggest complaints about Dougs review of Mama Mia is that he never really complements anything that I felt is really good about the film. There are many actors and actresses in Mama Mia that can sing extremely well. Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranki, Julie Walters...and you know what, I'm just gonna say it. I think Meryl Streep can sing well too! The song "The Winner Takes It All" was the song Doug though Streep was really reaching to get right and did not work at all.
Something about that feels hypocritical to me, only because I have seen Doug sing and, well, let's just say it's one thing to critique someone for their singing when a reviewer has no experience or training and can only tell if a song is bad through reference (aka, listening to other songs though many forms of media), and yet. For Doug to suggest that Streep struggled during the song when, oh, I don't know, I felt that Doug's singing in the review of "The Wall" and "Les Miserables" were not even close to what Streep could pull off just makes him look bad to me. She probably trained with singing coaches despite her setbacks. Doug, more than likely, did not have that training or talent to perform in a movie/tv setting, let alone a review, and that's why this comes off as hypocritical to me. When Doug can perform the song "The Winner Takes It All" perfectly just like ABBA did, then we'll talk.
To make matters worse. One of the things I loved about this movie was the style and cinematography. It is, to me anyway, a very pretty movie to look at with really beautiful shots and scenery and Doug, as far as I could recall, rarely brought that up and was very much heavily focusing on how poorly the songs connected to the story when that very much was a none issue.
One of the other things I thought was really great about the film was the chemistry the characters had with each other. Especially the relationship between Sophie, Donna, and the three male leads (Sam, Bill and Harry.) When the jokes hit, they hit really well, and I know comedy is subjective. I totally get that, but because everyone on the set felt like they worked so well off of each other, it made the movie more entertaining overall, which I felt is important to this argument.
There are other things I could pick apart with Dougs review, but these are the main issues. The only things I do agree with during his critique on the film were the actors, mostly the male ones, who clearly couldn't sing well but were forced to in the end. Honestly, I just thought that made the movie funnier! I wondered for a time if Pierce Brosnan's bad singing was intentional along with Stellan Skarsgar. But honestly? I don't think Dominic Cooper and Colin Firth get enough credit for their singing capabilities. Even though their not trying to hold long notes and perform ballads like the females actresses are, I still felt like their songs were really well done.
And I will also agree with Doug that the cheap tricks (like the green screen) and the pacing, specifically with how quickly the film jumps from song to song can ruin the tone sometimes...and yeah. The ending is pretty bad too, that I can't deny either, though I thought the comedic timing was still spot on.
So yeah, that's my argument defending the film Mama Mia. I don't know if Rob's views on the film has changed eight years later...but if it hasn't I just...I don't know what to say. They reviewed hundreds of films and many musicals (Disney!) that are clearly worse than this one and it just...happens to be Rob's second least favorite film of all time? I just can't under any circumstances believe that when I know both Rob and Doug have seen worse.
Anyways that's it.
I will now add Dougs Mama Mia! review to his other list of film reviews I categorize under "Fuck you, I like it." This list includes Bridge To Terribithia, Halloweentown 1 and 2, Zatheria, Jumanji, and Disney's Secretariat. A film Doug has neglected to review for DisneyCember for many years and, during a live stream recently, said the movie was only "ok." Dude, did we even watch the same film? I don't even want Doug to review it now if he only "heard" it was ok when it is his job to review all of the Disney films, especially the ones that are live action originals which he did many years ago, and continues to forget about Secretariat.
However, I can't say anything good about Mama Mia Here We Go Again! That movie is complete dog shit and to this day, I can't understand why audiences and critics thought the second movie was better. Please enlighten me if you have thoughts...but it didn't need to exist. There was no reason for it too when the Broadway musical is still active. If Hairspray or Les Miserables got a sequel to their films. I guarantee you fans of these musicals would lose there shit, and not in a good way I think...

🦇 The Last Love Song Book Review 🦇
❓ #QOTD What's your favorite love song?❓ 🦇 After graduating, Mia Peters is given a letter from her late mother, country music star Tori Rose — the woman who left the small town of Sunset Cove to pursue her dream. That first letter sends her on a scavenger hunt across town to find more, each one like a puzzle piece, adding to the hazy image Mia has of the woman behind hit albums and fame. Each letter brings Mia closer to her mother, but further away from her best friend and sort-of-girlfriend Britt, who is leaving in a few days to pursue the same dream. Can Mia unravel her mother's past, face her present, and decide on a future outside of Sunset Cove? Or will the truth leave her disappointed and trapped in the small town her mother left behind?
💜 Kalie Holford does a stunning job at sparking vivacious life into Tori Rose through letters and journal entries. You experience the magnetism everyone in Sunset Cove once did, and understand why the entire town reveres her. Readers are bound to connect and empathize with both Tori and her daughter Mia in this dual POV/dual timeline story. Reading it, I was instantly tugged back to 2005, at the memory of reading Maureen Johnson's 13 Little Blue Envelopes. There's such exquisite balance between the past and present in this story, Tori's puzzle-pieced past simultaneously soothing Mia's concerns about leaving Sunset Cove while adding to them — a reminder that your choices and mistakes MUST be your own.
💜 That beautiful balance creates parallels between Mia's story and her mother's. We even see parallels between Mia and her unknown father. Both run away, fear being brave or taking a risk, and it holds them back from their true potential. Mia is so eager NOT to repeat her mother's history that she second-guesses herself constantly, afraid to make her own mistakes. Mia not only learns from her mother's journal entries, but also the lives she touched — proving the domino effect we can have on another person's lives. At the end, though...it's also a story about regret. We aren't our mistakes, but what we learn from them. It's a story about growth after the fact.
💜 "I will never regret chasing my dream. I regret the people I hurt. I regret the bridges I burned. I regret losing who I was in an attempt to find someone else in everyone else and within me."
💜 The lyrics from Mia's music AND her mothers add an extra layer to this story. For the record, I did cry (reading the story's literal Last Long Song), so if you're sappy like me, have tissues at the ready.
💙 Holford beautifully encapsulates that pivitol "coming-of-age" moment that empowers any YA story. The best friends to lovers aspect is messy, realistic, and pure; a series of stolen, secret kisses, failed relationships with others in between, the fear of either ruining or losing an unspoken love story. You'll root for Mia and Britt, cry at Mia's side, and feel full of hope by the end of it all. Also, Mia's grandmothers? They are everything.
🦇 This is a powerful, atmospheric debut that's bursting with heart and soul. Recommended for fans of Sadie, 13 Little Blue Envelopes, and Mama Mia. And, beyond a doubt, all you Swifties.

🦇 Major thanks to the author @kalieholford and publisher @blackstonepublishing for providing an ARC of this book via Netgalley. 🥰 This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.
💬 Quotes ❝ All my life I’ve collected pieces of Tori Rose like breadcrumbs, lyrics like talismans, stories like safety nets. ❞ ❝ "Really think about it without the fear and the lies and the telling yourself you can’t have it.” ❞ ❝ “You’re going to be a star, you know that, right?” She shakes her head. “Stars burn out. I want to be my own goddamn galaxy.” ❞ ❝ She’s the personification of a love song, and I can’t get her out of my head. ❞ ❝ The world raises girls to be competitors not constellations. ❞ ❝ We burst and we break. We are dichotomies and paradoxes and lies and happily never afters. We are an ending that wants to be a beginning and a beginning that never got to start quite right. 🐿 + my beloved water witch Allison? 💚
YAS, MY FAVE MAMA WARRIOR! THANK YOU FAE! Tagging @ginger-grimm, @dancingsunflowers-ocs, and @bi-ologistofthehills as they are all Allison’s biggest fans (after you of course)
1. a song they love to dance to: mamma mia by abba (mamma mia is her favorite musical, and she would listen to the soundtrack on repeat so much as a girl that her parents nearly destroyed her cd)
2. the meaning of their middle name: well-born, noble (gene; her mother had a thing for golden age hollywood actresses, so she and skye’s middle names are after gene tierney and marlene dietrich)
3. their favorite mythical/fantasy animal/figure: allison adores mermaids (it started after watching the little mermaid for the first time; she wanted to be ariel so badly that she perfected her hair flip when she’s breaking out of the water)
4. salty or sweet snacks? which kind do they like best?: you’d think sweet since she’s a baker, but allison actually prefers salty snacks. you can usually see her snacking on pretzels because she loves how they can go with most things (she loves dipping them in hummus)
5. what they like to do during the winter time: winter is when she goes absolutely CRAZY with the baking; she’s baking all sorts of christmas cookies from traditional shortbread to gingerbread. besides the baking, one of her favorite winter activities is to go ice skating, and then sit in front of a fire afterwards with a cup of hot chocolate
6. their favorite ‘50’s song: cheek to cheek by ella fitzgerald and louis armstrong
7. do they drink? if so, what’s their favorite drink?: allison only drinks in the privacy of her home, and select social events. she’s a wine girlie who loves a good merlot or pinot grigio
8. one moment they recoil thinking about: definitely that moment when her little self wrote that love note to the girl she had a crush on; the note was a bit mushy, and allison still folds into herself in embarrassment when remembering all of her classmates laughing at the note and her
9. if they believe in lucky objects: at first, allison didn’t believe in luck. but, after peter gave back her teardrop necklace, good things always seemed to happen whenever she had the necklace on, and she then began refusing to take it off
10. their first-ever paying job: she started working at starbucks when she was in high school, so she could start saving money for college

Have you ever listened to a musical before? O: Do you have any favorite? I for one love one called Six and Beetlejuice! (If the answer to the first is no, do you have any favorite disney song? <.<)
((If the answer to even that one is none, maybe any childhood nursery rhymes you like? xD))
All these backup questions, thank you xDD
I listen to musical songs from time to time and if it's available, I watch recordings of musicals as well. I haven't seen many of the popular musicals though, like Wicked.
During my late teens, I was obsessed with the Cats musical and watched it often (the new one can rot in a ditch somewhere). For my birthday during my early twenties, my mom took me to see the Lion King musical because I used to be a Lion King nerd. I thought the Shrek musical and Avenue Q were hilarious. Hamilton made me cry. The Disney Cruise and Park musicals are... something x'D.
And if I haven't seen the "Broadway" version of a musical (recorded or live), I may have seen it in movie form like Beetlejuice, Little Shop of Horrors and Moulin Rouge, Sweeney Todd, Rocky's Horror Picture Show, Les Miserables, Sound of Music, Grease, La La Land, Mama Mia, Hairspray, along with all the animated Disney movies and some live action ones, some Muppets stuff, other animated musicals and so on.
Do I have any favorites? I can't say I do but I do/did enjoy a lot of them.

The Blues Brothers: A Jukebox Musical Done Right
I have a vehement hatred for jukebox musicals. In my opinion, they're lazy and are just a way to put popular songs in your movie that you know will succeed instead of taking the risk to compose your own. If I know a movie is a jukebox musical I tend to immediately dismiss it.
Which brings me to The Blues Brothers.
I adore The Blues Brothers. It's one of my all-time favorite films and one I think is highly underrated. And yet it's a jukebox musical. So why do I love it so much?
I think why The Blues Brothers works when so many other jukebox musicals fail for me is the fact that you can tell that there's a genuine love for the music that they're playing. And the reason behind that is that The Blues Brothers was an actual band created by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi in 1978, two years before the movie even came out. Not only do they perform the songs featured with sincerity, but they also feature some of the fundamental names in blues and soul. Aretha Franklin, John Lee Hooker, and Cab Calloway perform their own songs ("Think", "Boom Boom", and "Minnie the Moocher" respectively), and Ray Charles and James Brown sing absolutely incredible covers of "Shake a Tail Feather" and "The Old Landmark". They didn't just take popular blues and souls songs and put them in their movie, they got some of the pillars of the genre to perform those songs.
The appearance of the songs also makes plenty of sense story wise. The entire plot of the movie is that Jake and Elwood are trying to get their blues band back together, so naturally the film is full of classics from the genre, both performed by the band as well as in the background. Even songs that could seem out of place such as where Aretha's character Mrs. Murphy starts singing "Think" in the diner, it doesn't feel that way because of how the movie has decided to present itself. The Blues Brothers takes absurdity and delivers it in a direct way: it knows it doesn't make sense, and it doesn't apologize for it. They play their absurdity like a Monty Python skit (especially towards the end), and that actually helps to make the breaking into song and dance all that more believable. The songs aren't in there just for the sake of having them, they fit the scenes they were placed in. "The Old Landmark" is a classic gospel that plays when Jake realizes that getting the band back together is their mission from God; "Think" is played because Mrs. Murphy is trying to tell her husband to reconsider leaving her to play with The Blues Brothers; we already know that Curtis used to sing to the brothers while they were at the children's home, so it makes sense that he's the one who sings to stall for the brothers at the show; the band does a cover of the Rawhide theme because it was the first western song they could think of to play at Bob's Country Bunker. Every major song has a reason for being there, and isn't there just for the sake of having a popular song in the movie.
As I said, I tend to steer clear of any jukebox musicals, but my brother as a big ABBA fan has watched Mama Mia!, and I feel he gives a great example of why the movie doesn't work:
The plot was as if they picked the songs they wanted first, and then moved the storyline around it, instead of vice versa. This included parts of the movie that had absolutely no relevance to the story and were forced in to get another hit ABBA Gold song in there. My best example: they absolutely killed the meaning behind Does Your Mother Know. Originally a song about a guy denying sexual advances of an underage woman, is now turned into a song about a MILF talking about how much (completely legal) people want to have sex with her. What once was a song about a guy doing the right thing and not taking advantage of a minor, is now stripped of its meaning. You might say, "Well, it was probably to advance the plot, right? This was important to the story? They had to have this song in the movie or else we'd have unresolved plotholes, right?" No.
The Blues Brothers comes nowhere close to having a problem such as this. As I already stated, the songs either exist to help further the plot or directly reflect what is happening.
In my opinion, The Blues Brothers is probably one of the best jukebox musicals of all time due to the obvious love for blues and soul as well as the impeccable incorporation of the songs into the story
#I love this movie so much if you couldn't tell#deadass one of my all-time favorites#and I listen to the soundtrack all the time#it's THAT good#the blues brothers#meso's movies

congratulations on 2k you absolutely deserve it!!💕 could i play matchmaker? my favorite color is pink. my favorite pastimes are listening to music, reading, and watching horror movies. despite horror being my favorite genre my all time favorite movie is practical magic and my favorite show is derry girls. i don’t really have a favorite animal, i love them all but i really think mice are cute. thank you!!💕💕
Barty & Sirius.
Barty would love all animals - especially ones other people generally hate/find 'gross'. He'd also love horror films - Sirius hates horror films but pretends to watch them so he can 'hug you when it's scary' but you end up cuddling him (which is just as nice but really, the two of you could just cuddle watching Mama Mia, right?). He'd love listening to music with you and I feel like Barty would like Derry girls because of the politics and jokes lol.

Jack Harlow x Reader : BAKING WITH MIA
“Nooo, daddy that’s not how it goes.”
“Mia, it’s already baked. What else needs to be done?”
“Mommy makes holes around the cake and then we put the different milks.”
“That’s not what it says here.” Jack tells her while reading the instructions from google on his iPad.
“Why are you checking there? Momma has it in her book.” Ezequiel pipes in from his seat on the table.
“What book?” Jack asks, confused.
Ezequiel and Mia share a look with each other. “Hey, I’m trying, okay? Now help me find this book you’re talking about.”
“Daddy, it’s right there. Mommy always has it there.” Mia tells him, pointing to the top shelf where it’s displayed.
“Ohh her cooking book? I didn’t know she added her baking stuff here too.” Jack goes to grab the book and flips through the pages until he finds the page for tres leches cake.
“I guess you were right Mia, I’m sorry.”
“It’s ok.”
“So with what do we make the holes?” Jack asks the kids.
“Siri, FaceTime wife.” Ezequiel yells into his dads phone.
“What? No, Ángel Ezequiel.”
“Hi momma.” Ez greets you.
“Hi my baby boy, how are you my love? How’s your sister and father?”
Ez smiles, “Daddy ruining your cakes.”
“What cakes baby?”
“We’re attempting to make Mia’s favorite cake.” Jack says from his spot on the counter.
“Bubs, it’s the easiest cake ever. All you need to do is follow my steps, Mia basically knows how to make it herself from all the times she’s helped me.”
“He was looking at the pad mama not your book.”
“Ezequiel stop snitching on me to your mom.” Jack goes to grab the phone.
“You were looking at baking instructions from the internet when my book was literally there.” You ask, smirking.
Jack rolls his eyes “It says cooking book, not baking book.”
“Bubs, you worry me sometimes.”
“Yeah, yeah. Are you almost home?”
You shake your head, “I have a few more scenes to shoot so I’ll be like three more hours, and that depends on my flight as well.” You stare at him and see that he’s somewhat stressed. “But I can reschedule and come home right now, just say the words.”
You were in Miami shooting for your new music video, you couldn’t take the kids with you so Jack decided to stay behind with them.
Jack shakes his head and smiles. “No, you handle your work and I can manage here with the kids.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah sweets. We’ll finish the cake and watch some movies. Maybe even go to my moms for a bit.”
“Okay, I love you guys, see you soon.”
“I love you.”
“Bye momma.” Ez yells.
“Bye mommy.” Mia grabs the phone from Jack.
You smile at her, “Mia, you have cake batter on your face honey.”
She rolls her eyes, “Daddy did it.”
“Well it seems like you three are having a blast. Remember the cake needs to cool down in the refrigerator for at least two hours.”
Mia nods, “I know.”
“Okay baby, I’ll try to hurry home okay.”
“Alrighty, we’ll see you tonight.” Jack says and after a few more shared words you both hang up.
“So do I blend all the milks together or pour them one by one?” Jack asks Mia
“I CAN’T READ IT’S IN THE BOOK.” Mia tells him getting frustrated.
“Should I call momma again?” Ezequiel asks.
“NO.” Jack yells
“YES.” Mia yells.

I was tagged by @schumi-nadal, @rafasbiscuits and @shambolicchaos thank you for tagging me 😘 mwah mwah mwah
Rules: post 10 of your favorite comfort mfovies then tag 10 people.
The chariot of fire. It's my favorite movie ever and I can watch it again and again and again and I will always feel better afterward. Beautiful men, sport, a deep story and yet a simple plot, very human characters, it's incredibly well filmed and there is music from Gilbert and Sullivan. PERFECTION !!!!
Much Ado About Nothing. Shakespeare, Italy, Beatrice and Benedict, stupid jokes, charming idiots in love, cool villain, beautiful words... everything is good in this movie.
She is the man. Have I told you that I'm obsess with Shakespeare's comedies ? Also stupid jokes, also stupid story but god I LOVE IT !
Les vacances de Monsieur Hulot and Mon oncle. The films I watched as a child and the more I'm growing up the more I understand and love them. The humor from Tati is so special and is criticism of capitalism and modern society so interesting.
Love in the City. The first romantic comedy I ever watched and I have a particular sympathy for this one (and a big crush for what Hilary Duff is wearing in this movie). It's cheesy and with a lot of stereotypes but soooo enjoyable.
Azur and Azmar. I love every Michel Ocelot's animated tales because everything he does is always so beautiful, and witty and elegant but my mother used to read me Arabian tales when I was a child so this one echoed with what I used to dream off as a little girl. Everything is so gorgeous in this movie that it makes me so happy.
Ignace, Les rois du sport and La bourse ou la vie. Three old movies with the French comedian Fernandel and it's probably the worst movies ever but you know it's those bad movies that everyone knows by heart in your family and that are some sort inside joke.
Mama Mia ! Love the songs, love the atmosphere, love the actors... It's just a great feel good movie.
Ten things I hate about you. Another teen comedy, another Shakespeare inspired movie... well you know the music already. Plus I have a big crush on Kat.
Die schöne Lügnerin. Such a witty movie, very funny and nice and a gorgeous Romy Schneider ( ce qui ne gache rien hehehe).

Doodler! DOODLER! Surprise ask! Which song from your fav musicals do you think fits each of the Belchers (or any other bb muppets)?
<Gasp> You always know what wonderful things to ask me to make my day better! Thank you as always 🤌🏼
This is such a good one!!!
Let's start with Bob.
This might be a weird one, but I feel like Waving Through A Window from Dear Evan Hansen perfectly captures his self-doubt. How he always feels as if he isn't good enough, even with his restaurant (but even then, he struggles to look on the bright side when they're almost always going under) and he struggles to connect with people a lot (except for Linda and his kids, of course). Dead Mom from Beetlejuice is also a good one for him, for obvious reasons. I feel like that song just really applies to him, especially the line "Every day dad's staring at me, like all 'hurry up, get happy. Move along, forget about your mom'".
For Linda, she was definitely a harder one to pick out a song for. But, I think Tomorrow from Annie just perfectly captures Linda's unstoptimistic spirit. That no how no matter what trials and tribulations she, Bob, and the kids go through, she'll always look forward to tomorrow. And also, My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music also perfectly captures her willingness to look at things that bring her joy rather than strife. I could easily imagine her randomly singing this to the kids.
For Tina, she was also a harder one to pick out a song for. But Helpless from Hamilton definitely captures her upbeat, romantic side. This song could easily be a fantasy she's dreamed up in one of her Erotic Friend Fiction stories starring herself and Jimmy Jr. Also, Kindergarten Boyfriend from Heathers makes me think of Tina and Jimmy Jr. because of the whole "I love you and always have, but even after all this time, I still can't have you" vibes.
For Gene, Rose's Turn from Gypsy suits him because of how it deals with the singer feeling as if they've been overlooked, and it's also just a super fun, showstopping tune that I think Gene would adore. Also Dancing Queen from Mama Mia (and also by Abba) suits Gene as well. Not for any deep reason, it just gives off Gene vibes to me because of how it's about making the most of your life, and I think he would enjoy that.
For Louise, If I Were A Man from The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical fits her absolutely perfectly. It's basically her in song form in my opinion. This is definitely her anthem, wanting to break free from gender norms and societal expectations, but still being unable to. I also think Defying Gravity from Wicked suits Louise, because of her wanting to be different, and once again, break free from expectations that are placed upon her.
As a bonus, Only Us from Dear Evan Hansen would be a nice Boblin song. And also, Friend Like Me From Aladdin would be a good fit for Teddy. I could totally imagine him singing this to Bob out of nowhere one day. It suits his enthusiastic personality well, and how much he desires to prove himself to other people, especially Bob.
#bobs burgers#asks#someone else said this already but i'll say it too: you're the light of my life drawthething#these were so much fun to pick out oh my gosh#thinking about how a song would fit a character takes so much thought but it's so rewarding#i also picked the songs on the criteria that i could imagine the character enjoying it and even singing it themselves
