I’m afraid of falling a little to hard, you leaving and moving on and me not being able to get back up” She whispered tears brimming even at the thought of the event that unfortunately was inevitable. She could feel his stare on her as he took a moment to take in her previous statement … “I won’t let that happen, I promise” He spoke softer now taking her hand in his. But not long after that promise was broken and he was gone just as she expected.
