【༶•⛧┈♛】   ――――    Mason   grunted   as   he   hit   the   floor,   sliding   until   his   back   collided   with   the   wall.   He   winced,   but   quickly   pushed   himself   up   to   a   sitting   position,   his   eyes   never   leaving   Katherine.   Despite   her   words,   he   noticed   the   restraint   in   her   throw.   It   spoke   volumes.

❝   You're   lying   to   yourself,   Katherine,   ❞   he   said,   his   voice   low   but   firm.   ❝   You   can   pretend   all   you   want,   but   I   see   right   through   you.   Always   have.   ❞

❝   You   say   I'm   boring   you,   that   you   have   no   use   for   me.   But   you're   still   here,   aren't   you   ?   You   could   have   left   already,   but   you   haven't.   Why   is   that,   Katherine   ?   ❞   He   continued,   his   voice   softening   slightly,   ❝   I   know   you've   been   hurt.   I   know   you've   lost   people.   But   not   everyone   is   going   to   betray   you,   Katherine.   Some   of   us   actually   give   a   damn   about   you.   ❞   Himself   included   in   that.   Perhaps   she   wasn’t   in   LOVE   with   him,   but   he’s   a   smart   enough   man   to   know   he   had   meant   more   to   her   than   just   being   her   pawn.   He   felt   it   in   every   touch,   kiss,   and   every   time   they'd   made   love.    

He   was   close   to   her   now,   so   close   that   he   reached   out   placing   his   hand   at   the   back   of   her   neck   and   pulled   her   closer   to   him.   ❝   I   give   a   damn   about   you,   I   always   have.   ❞   Only   a   few   moments   passed   by   before   Mason   leaned   forward   —   his   lips   meeting   Katherine’s   in   a   searing   kiss,   all   his   pent-up   anger   and   frustration   pouring   out   in   that   single   moment.

Katherine is careful not to let her expression change as he challenges her. She doesn't soften it nor let surprise creep in. It stays hard and cold, fangs bared at him.

It's not till he continues talking that she lets the threat display go in favour of a laugh.

"Do you really think that my expression changed because I was sad he killed you? Mason, he fucked up my plan. I was irritated."

That's only half true. Katherine had known for a long time that letting Mason go to the fires wasn't going to be easy. She wouldn't have been able to watch. Like leaving a dog you loved at a shelter. She had cared for him, she just wanted her freedom more.

The vampire threw Mason across the room, oddly not as hard as she could have, sending him sliding along the floor. Weird since she could have been a lot rougher, a lot meaner, and they both know it.

"Not that this chat hasn't been absolutely riveting, but you're boring me now. So if you're not going to help me then I have no use for you."

He should know by now, having apparently watched her, that she doesn't like to form attachments she can't justify with usefulness. When they end? They hurt more. Katherine's done setting herself up for heart break. Been there done that, a hundred times.

first person that comes to mind, @malka-lisitsa, their katherine ( kol vc: our katherine, you mean, ) is just perfection, okay? the katherine from the rpc. yes, yes. we were afraid to start following this blog and now we can't wait to see more of them on the dash. the development of katherine that they bring onto the dash is just something we love to sees. we can see that november put so much of herself in this muse and the other muses she has that we can't wait but want to learn more about them. she is definetely the katherine i will see if i so ever watch tvd again and we can't just separate from her now. she is kol's best friend. kol's loves to cause mayhem with her. especially when it concerns his siblings.

To be honest, Esme would normally let these things slide, but exhaustion was cruel. She remembers what it feels like to run on nothing, but keep pushing regardless. In a way, this life is cruel; no matter how tired she is, she can't rest. The closest she'll ever get is feeding, but even then, the respite is brief.

A smile curls the corners of Esme's lips upwards in response to Katherine's less than kind words, Esme's shoulders offering a shrug shortly after.

"That's true," she agrees, smoothing creases from her skirt which is resting across her legs, one crossed over the other. "But I can still make sure you're alright. Consider it, well... consider it a question in good faith and nothing more."

            there was a mild surprise on nadia's features as she spotted her mother, clearly having not expected her visit nor the fact that she brought gifts.

            "i wasn't aware that you celebrate." therefore she also didn't expect her to show up. it's also better to not expect too much because then, you also won't get hurt. so yes, her showing up was an even greater gift than the actual things she brought with her. it also elicited a smile.

            "i don't mind, quite the contrary actually. thank you, mother." see, she called her 'mother' and not katherine. a sign that she was very pleased & happy.

Logan can't help his gentle scoff at that even if it is inappropriate given the situation and circumstance. This is perhaps the calmest she's been in his company and he doesn't exactly want to ruin this. It's rare she's so subdued even if it won't last long.

— the plan was set, it was in motion. They final puzzle pieces needed to be placed and were on hold; in the hands of Damon Salvatore. All he had to do was — he breaks out of thought. The scene of that night replaying over and over in his mind. What went wrong,exactly? He focuses on Stefan’s face as he spoke the words — Katherine’s name rolling out of his mouth like butter. The one who was to blame for Klaus still be around when the main goal was for him to be dead. Damon looks at his brother, blinking and still in disbelief. Katherine. Of course. Katherine pierce. The one and only. He needed to go find her, shove her face in a vervain filled pond and let her boil until there was nothing left but then again — he wanted to mainly argue. The gang needed her alive, Stefan had assured him. He didn’t have many options; yet, Damon is Damon.

Taking a few minutes from the Salvatore home to find Katherine in a house she was currently residing in, he knocks. Mind racing with what the plan from here was. Adrenaline pumping in his veins. Once the door opens, he looks at her, “well hello there,Katherine.” He offers a small smirk her way. “I have to say, very homey of you.” He said, twirling his hand in the air, motioning the house she had adopted temporarily. “Stefan told me to come talk to you about Klaus, something happened.” He exhales, eyes meeting hers.
