Allison Argent born on January 31, 1994 is the daughter of Chris Argent and Victoria Argent, the niece of Kate Argent, the granddaughter of Gerard Argent, and a descendant of Marie-Jeanne Valet and Henri Argent. Despite being descended from a long line of prolific French Werewolf Hunters, Allison was unaware of her legacy as a member of the Argent Family until shortly after her seventeenth birthday, when her aunt Kate introduced her to the world of the supernatural. Though she was originally resistant to her heritage, Allison finally began to seriously train in combat and the use of a multitude of weapons during her sophomore and junior year at Beacon Hills High School, where she found that she had a natural affinity for the craft. After the death of her mother Victoria, Allison, as the sole remaining woman in the family, became the head of the Argent Hunter clan due to their family's tradition of matriarchal leadership. However, unlike the female Argent leaders who came before her, Allison belonged to a Werewolf pack, and encouraged her father to join her in changing their Code by abandoning the concept of hunting all supernaturals and instead protecting all innocents, whether human or supernatural, from anyone of any species who mean to do them harm. She lived by their new Code, "We protect those who cannot protect themselves," until the end of the third season, when she was fatally stabbed by an Oni's sword during a battle in Insatiable, though she saved the lives of her friends with her sacrifice. Even after her death, her presence continues to live on in her pack, as they continue to fight by her Code. Fifteen years following her death, Scott, Lydia and Malia Tate gathered some of the land where Allison died as well as the Oni Ninjato that took her life and placed them above the Nemeton. The ancient tree restored Allison's physical body and successfully brought her back to life. However, she initially did not recognize neither her father nor her packmates, especially Scott. This state allowed her to be easily influenced by the recently-freed Nogitsune, who decided to use Allison as the perfect weapon to annihilate Scott, the other McCall Pack members and their allies. Fortunately, Scott slowly managed to remind her of her previous life and it was only Lydia's Banshee scream that allowed all of her memories of her loved ones to return to her mind. She then witnessed the Nogitsune be overpowered and incinerated to death along with Derek, who sacrificed himself to ensure the creature was slayed once and for all. She attended the memorial service organized to honor Derek's memory. She is a member of the McCall Pack. She is best friends with Lydia Martin, who is her sister-in-arms and who is often described as being the Stiles to Allison's Scott. She is also a member and matriarch of the Argent Family, and was a junior at Beacon Hills High School at the time of her death. Allison is a very loyal, independent, and strong-willed woman. After she first moved to Beacon Hills and was trapped in the high school by Peter Hale, she expressed her embarrassment and frustration at how weak and powerless she felt to her aunt Kate before vowing to dedicate herself to becoming more powerful. From then on, Allison was determined to learn everything that her father could teach her about being a Hunter so that she could always feel confident in her ability to take care of herself.

THIRD PERSON POV
Stiles watched on the Arrivals board as the first space flicked to Beacon Hills, On Time. He looked down as a ticket blew by his feet before he heard Emma’s voice saying his name. He turned around, hoping to see her beautiful face.
“Stiles...”
“Emma?” he said. He started walking towards the benches to find her, but the PA system stopped him, a familiar voice filling the area.
“Attention all passengers. The train will be arriving in 25 minutes.”
Stiles went back to his search for his girlfriend, pushing the hordes of people. “Emma?”
“Someone's being me tonight, all sassy.”
“Emma?” Stiles said again. Hearing her say that brought him back to the Formal.
“Now, if you step on these shoes, I will kill you,” Emma said.
“Emma, wait.”
“STILES!” Emma screamed.
As he continued to push through the crowd, a gunshot rang out. He looked to his left, figuring it was a Ghost Rider, but was surprised when he saw the last person he thought he’d see in the Hunt.
His father.
Sheriff was standing there with his gun raised in the air for a second before he lowered it. “Give the boy some room.”
“Dad?” Stiles said, not believing he was seeing his father. He walked up to him, saying, “Dad?”
Sheriff smiled at his son as the two walked up to each other, embracing in a father/son hug that Stiles didn’t know he needed.
“Oh, God,” Stiles whispered.
“Oh, I found you,” Sheriff whispered. The two pulled a part, Sheriff still having a small grip on the back of Stiles’ neck. “I can’t believe I found you,” he chuckled.
“Dad, I can hear Emma,” Stiles said. “I think-- I think I can get to her. I think she can get us out of here.”
The sound of horses neighing tore Sheriff’s gaze away from Stiles for a moment before he looked back at his son. “You need to get out of here. Don’t worry about me.”
“What, you’re kidding, right?” Stiles said.
“Go. Get help. Find your friends. And for the love of God, find Emma.”
“Yeah, and what about you?”
His father turned around to face him after turning to walk away from Stiles and smiled. “We’ll find each other again.” Sheriff turned around again, walking a couple of steps.
“Dad,” Stiles said, stopping his father’s steps yet again.
“Stiles…” Sheriff said, raising his hand then dropping it. “I’ll hold them back. Now get the hell out of here. Emma’s been going insane without you. Go. Go!”
Little did his father know, Stiles was going insane without Emma. At his father’s words about Emma, Stiles turned to his right, hopping down from the platform and onto the tracks he’d become so accustomed with. He started running to the spot where he knew the Ghost Riders had come through once before when a bright light stopped him, Emma’s voice coming through.
“Stiles, I would never leave you behind,” Emma said.
Stiles pushed through the wind that the rift was causing, Emma’s voice coming through once again.
“Stiles, I would never leave you behind,” Emma said. “You’ll always be my hero!”
Stiles left his hand up to the rift, hoping that he’d be able to walk through, Emma’s voice encouraging him.
“Stiles! Keep going. I can see you, Stiles, don’t stop!”
At her last words of encouragement, Stiles ran through the rift, unsure of where he’d end up.
Where he did end up, however, wasn’t with Emma or Scott.
It was in his Jeep.
~~~
FIRST PERSON POV
I reached my hand out towards Stiles’ figure, telling him, “I can see you, Stiles, don’t stop!” but the white light faded out… and the only thing I could see was the other side of the tunnel that we’d become so accustomed to seeing. I slowly lowered my hand, sighing. “Stiles?”
It was quiet for a moment before Scott’s voice filled the space. “Emma?” With tears in my eyes, I shook my head a little. “Where is he?” I turned around to face him and Malia, anger and worry showing in my facial expression. “It was working. You--you saw him, right?” “We didn’t see anyone,” Malia said.
I turned back around to face where the light was, saying, “No. He was here. I know it.” Taking a shaky breath, I said, “Stiles was here.” A few moments later, without even thinking, I turned back around walking up to Scott. He knew what my next moves were going to be because I saw him tense his muscles. “He was here! Where is he?!” I yelled, banging on Scott’s chest.
After a few seconds of taking my unintentional abuse, Scott grabbed my wrists, holding me to his chest as I cried into him.
“Where is he, Scotty?” I asked through my sobs.
“I don’t know, Em,” he whispered. “But, either we’ll find him or he’ll find us. Come on.” He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, leading me back into the bunker. Feeling Lydia’s arms around me, I heard the door squeak as if it was being closed before Scott said, “Liam!”
“There’s something you need to see,” Liam said, my attention on him now.
“You’re still here,” Scott and I said.
“But everyone else is gone,” Liam said, panic in his voice. “All of them. They’re all gone. Look, you have to come with me.”
“What is it?” Scott asked.
“What is it?” Scott asked.
“I-- I can’t explain it. I have to show you.”
I started moving forward to go with Scott and Liam, but Lydia’s grip on me tightened. “Oh, no, you’re not going anywhere,” she said.
Scott turned back to look at us. “Uh, alright. You guys stay here, just in case.”
“In case Stiles comes back?” Malia asked.
“If there’s any hope, you need to keep trying,” Scott said. “Make sure Emma doesn’t leave. Make her listen.” He turned around and closed the door, leaving me alone with Lydia and Malia.
~~~
THIRD PERSON POV
After finding himself in his Jeep, Stiles decided to drive to Scott’s house, looking for his best friend first, just in case Scott knew where Emma was if she wasn’t with him. Walking into the front door, Stiles let himself into the house. “Scott? Scott.” He ran to the bottom of the stairs, calling his best friend’s name one more time before leaving to head to the station. Not finding Scott there, he ran back out of the house, getting in his Jeep to drive to the station.
He thought about calling them, asking where they were, but ultimately decided against it.
Running into the station, Stiles was determined that they were there, only to find the place completely deserted. Seeing how trashed the place was, he walked into his father’s office, a sad look on his face as he looked around. Looking over his shoulder, he saw a dispatch microphone on a desk. Remembering that the desk he was looking at was Carter’s, he thought about the police radio in his Jeep.
He ran back out of the station and to his Jeep, still on the hunt for his best friend and girlfriend.
~~~
FIRST PERSON POV
I heard rustling behind me, so I turned my head over my shoulder, humming at Malia. “What are you doing?”
She opened the door that led into the tunnels, turning back to face me and Lydia, stating, “We’re going to find Stiles.”
This got my feet moving and energy to surge through me.
“No, no, no,” Lydia said. “Scott told us to stay in case he shows up here.”
“Lydia, I love you, but he’s not coming here,” I said. “If he was, he would’ve, and he hasn’t, so he’s not.” I thought about what I said and how I said it. “Damn. I sounded like him just then.” I shook my head.
“You still think it worked, right?” Malia asked. “One of Em’s memories opened up a rift.”
“I know for a damn-well fact that I saw him.”
“And you’re never wrong about these things. Neither is Lydia.”
“Well, I wouldn’t say never,” I sassed.
“But right now?” Lydia asked.
“Right now, I’m not wrong,” I stated confidently. “He’s out there, I can feel it.”
“Then are we doing standing here?” Malia said.
I was the first one out of the bunker, each girl following me. I didn’t care about the fact that I was practically running through these tunnels.
We ended up going to the school where the Jeep was. I immediately saw that it was gone. “Guys, the Jeep is gone,” I voiced.
Lydia quickly parked her car before I almost tore the door off with how fast I opened it. I ran over to the spot the Jeep was previously parked, kneeling on the ground. Noticing the fresh tire marks, I voiced as such. “This looks fresh.”
“It’s from Stiles’ Jeep. It must’ve just left,” Malia said.
“Without his keys?” Lydia asked.
“That boy can hotwire a car. Trust me. Half the time, he gets it started with a screwdriver,” I said, standing up.
“Then he’s here.”
“We have to tell Scott.”
“We should probably tell Scott about that, too,” Malia said, looking ahead of her.
“What?” I said. She put her hand under my chin, turning my head. My eyes went wide as I looked at what Malia was. “Lyds,” I said, smacking her arm.
“Ow! What?” she said, holding her arm.
“Look,” I whispered.
She turned her head, looking at what Malia and I were looking at. A train track heading in two directions; into the school and into the woods.
I sighed. “Scott’s gonna have a field day trying to figure this one out.”
~~~
THIRD PERSON POV
Figuring that one of them was at the hospital, that’s where Stiles drove. Once he got there, he went to the back of his Jeep, grabbing his trusty bat and heading inside. Noticing the tracks running through the building, he focused on following it, but upon hearing voices, he ducked inside a room.
“And I’ll have a True Alpha by my side,” Douglas’ voice rang out.
“Parrish! Stop!” Scott’s voice rang out, followed by a growl that Stiles knew was Parrish’s.
“And then a Banshee, a werecoyote, a were-banshee--”
As soon as he heard Emma’s supernatural name, he decided that’s when he was gonna make his appearance. “A Stiles.”
“A what?” Douglas asked, turning his head over his shoulder.
Stiles took his bat and hit Douglas in the upper back with it before looking up at Scott and Liam. “Bad guy, right? I didn’t misread that?”
Douglas stood up, causing Stiles to jump and say, “Oh, God!”
Scott and Liam thought that was the perfect time to grab Parrish and throw him at Douglas, Stiles leaning against the wall to not be in the middle of that. Parrish took Douglas down, neither of them getting up.
Scott and Stiles looked at each other, Scott not believing that his best friend was standing there in front of him. Stiles ran, as carefully as he could, to Scott, wrapping him in a brotherly hug, chuckling and saying, “Oh! Buddy! Oh, man!”
“Oh, it’s so good to see you,” Scott said.
“Hey, hey, hey! Uh--” Liam said.
Stiles looked over at Liam, wanting to give the Beta some love as well. “Liam! It’s so good to see you, too!”
Liam returned the hug, trying to warn the two about what was behind Stiles. “Yeah, no, yeah! It’s great to see you, Stiles, but uh--”
Hearing the Hellhound flames, Stiles turned around and looked a lit up Parrish. “Oh. Yeah, we should go. Go. Go, go,” he said, pointing and waving his arms, all three of them running down the hall.
~~~
FIRST PERSON POV
After noticing the tracks leading into the school, Lydia, Malia and I decided to follow them, careful not to trip. Coming up on the library, I held my arms out to each girl, stating, “Wait, wait, wait. Stop.” Looking at the doors, I had this eerie feeling. Putting my arms down, I walked over to the doors, opening them.
There, in the library, were benches with people sitting on them, light poles that you would find in old-fashioned train stations standing near the benches.
“Why is there a train station in the middle of the library?” Malia asked.
I sighed. “There’s also a train station in the Wild Hunt.”
“Any chance they’re connected?” Lydia asked.
I started walking through the library, stating, “I would say high. Like 100%.” Lydia’s heels followed after me, as well as Malia’s boots.
“If there’s a train station, then there’s probably a train,” Malia theorized.
I turned to face the two girls, left brow raised. “If there’s a train… it’s going to the Wild Hunt.”
“They’re all gonna be taken,” Lydia said.
I shook my head. “They can’t get on that train.”
“Uhm,” Malia said, looking around and taking a few steps away from me and Lydia. “Okay. Listen up, everybody. We’ve all got to get out of here. We gotta go right now.”
I looked around at the people sitting on the benches, none of them moving, none of them paying Malia or us any mind… like we weren’t even there.
“It’s bad, we have to go!” Malia yelled.
Lydia walked around as well, standing in front of a woman, yelling, “Hello?” before snapping her fingers.
I watched as Malia walked in front of a man, saying, “Uh, hello? Sir?” waving and snapping her fingers in his face.
“How do we get them to leave if they can’t hear us?” Malia asked.
“Uh,” I said, looking back and forth between them. I looked at the person I’d been looking at and voiced as such. “Maybe there’s someone who can.”
Peter motherfreakin’ Hale.
~~~
THIRD PERSON POV
Running through the hospital, the two werewolves and Stiles were trying to find a safe place away from a Hellhound Parrish.
Rounding a corner, Stiles saw a door to his left, immediately going into it, looking for something. “Can’t believe I’m gone a couple days, the whole place falls apart.”
“No, you were gone for three months,” Scott said.
Stiles quickly ran out of the room, looking at his best friend incredulously. “I was… what? Okay, if they don’t let me graduate, I swear to God…” He walked into the room across the hall, still determined to find whatever it was that he was looking for.
“What are you looking for?” Liam asked, backing up a couple steps.
“Ah! This,” Stiles said, coming out of the room, liquid nitrogen tank in hand. He set it on the ground before looking up. “And him.”
Coming down the hall in the opposite direction in which the boys came was Parrish in Hellhound form, a mixture of green and orange flames coming from his body, eyes lit a bright green. Stiles noticed the color of the green, thinking to himself that Emma’s eyes were a shade darker. Interesting.
Coming out of his train of thought, Stiles looked up at his best friend. “Grab him. Grab him now.”
Parrish growled, walking faster towards the three teens, the werewolves grabbing him and pushing him against the wall, Stiles spraying the nitrogen onto the Hellhound. Parrish’s flames died down, Scott and Liam pushing him down to sit.
Liam groaned like he was in pain, patting himself down. “God, ow!”
“Liam, you’re fine,” Stiles said.
“God, that doesn’t feel good, ya’know.”
Looking up at Stiles, Parrish was confused as to why he was here, voicing as such. “Stiles? What are you doing here?”
“Buddy, love you, but we’re way past that, okay?” Stiles said. “You gotta fill us in. What’s going on?”
“Douglas,” Parrish said, standing with Scott and Liam’s help. “He’s merging the worlds so the Ghost Riders can cross over.”
“Yeah, he wants his supernatural army in our world,” Liam confirmed.
“How do we stop him?” Scott asked, looking at Parrish.
“The train. It’s coming,” Parrish said, looking at the Arrivals board above the nurses station, Stiles and Scott looking over at it, as well.
“Okay, and how do we stop that?”
“You can’t stop it. But you can divert it.”
~~~
After getting that lovely piece of information from Parrish, the three teens all piled into Stiles’ Jeep, and headed straight for the high school. Upon arriving, they walked up to the school, careful to not trip over the tracks on the ground.
“Okay, how the hell do you merge worlds?” Stiles asked. “Okay, nowhere in the manual does it say that werewolves can do that. And, Scott, Em and I pretty much wrote the manual.”
“We can’t even move between them, alright?” Scott said. “Look what it took to break you out.”
Scott and Stiles stopped their steps, turning to look at Liam, who was walking slowly behind them, thinking about what they were saying.
“We can’t move between worlds,” Liam said. “But Corey can. He can exist in both worlds.”
“And he can take people with him,” Scott added.
Liam nodded, looking at Stiles, explaining further. “At Scott’s house, he pulled a Ghost Rider into our world.”
“At the lacrosse game he brought us into theirs,” Scott added, yet again.
Stiles put his hands on his hips as he took in this new information.
“What if that’s how Douglas is doing it?” Liam said. “What if Corey’s the key?”
“Wait, Emma’s cousin, Corey?” Stiles asked, looking at Liam, who nodded in confirmation. “Interesting theory, okay? Solid logic, it is. But, he’s in there and we’re out here. So, the only way to save everyone now is to just divert the train.”
“We have to find him. More so for Emma’s sake.”
“She doesn’t know?” Scott asked.
Liam shook his head, looking down. “I didn’t have the heart to tell her.”
Going back to the matter at hand, Stiles asked, “How?”
Confused, Liam looked at Stiles, eyebrows scrunched. “She’s been freaking out trying to get you--”
“No, no. Finding Corey. How?”
Determined look on his face, Liam looked between Scott and Stiles. “I’m going into the Hunt.”
“No, no, no. Liam, I think you’re confused. We’re trying to get people out of the Hunt.”
Liam noticed glowing green hoof prints as Scott said, “He can get taken by a Ghost Rider.”
“It’s just-- that’s not a pleasant option,” Stiles said, fully ready to argue his case. “I’m speaking from experience.”
Happy about the sudden turn of events, Liam looked back up at his Alpha and his best friend. “I-- I don’t need to get taken to get into the Hunt.”
“Okay, seems like you got an idea, let’s disc--”
Liam bolted it towards the school, putting his own little plan into motion.
“Where are you going?”
“I’ll be back!” Liam yelled, running through the school’s quad.
“Were the three of us like that?” Stiles asked.
Scott looked at his best friend, brows scrunched a little. “Worse.”
Both boys looked at the tracks in front of them, carefully planning out their next moves. “We just have to follow the tracks?” Scott asked.
“Yeah, well--” Stiles said. “Those lead to the woods. This way back into the school.”
They both faced the school, Scott sighing before smirking to himself at catching Emma’s scent, and thinking about his and Emma’s conversation with his next words. “You wanna split up?”
Without missing a beat, Stiles said, “Never again.” He looked at his best friend and patted his shoulder.
“Thank God,” Scott whispered.
They both started their walk along the tracks into the woods.
After walking a few feet in silence, Stiles sighed. “I can’t help but feel like Emma should be with us, ya’know. She’d kill us if she found out we went on an adventure without her.”
Scott chuckled. “I’m sure she’s fine… and a lot closer than you think.”
“What do you mean?” Stiles asked, stopping his steps.
Scott turned and looked at his best friend, smirking after a couple seconds. “You’ll find out soon enough. Come on.”
~~~
FIRST PERSON POV
Malia got all up in Peter’s grill, yelling, “Peter!” as loudly as she possibly could, waving her hand in front of his face.
“Malia,” Lydia said.
“What?” she said, snapping her fingers in front of Peter’s face. He couldn’t care less as he was too busy reading a newspaper.
“I got it,” I whispered to Lydia. I put my sights on Malia, saying, “The only way we were able to break through the Hunt… is with an emotional connection.”
“Dang,” Malia sighed. “Wish I could help.”
I heard Lydia sigh next to me, so I copied her sigh, crossing my arms.
“I’m not saying it,” Malia said, eyes dancing between us. “I’m not saying it.”
“Okay,” I said, turning to my left and walking towards the library doors. “Well, I guess everyone dies.”
I heard Lydia’s heels clicking on the ground behind me, Malia’s growl followed soon after. We both turned around, seeing her face Peter and closing her eyes.
Malia took a deep breath, before saying, “Dad. Dad. Dad.”
“Say it like you mean it,” Lydia and I said.
Malia squatted down in front of Peter, closing her eyes once again before opening them again, saying in the most gentle tone I’ve heard come out of her mouth since knowing her, “Dad. Please wake up.”
Peter dropped his newspaper, and that brought hope into my emotions. Malia stood back up as Lydia and I backed away a couple steps as Peter stood up as well, him and Malia locking eyes.
I couldn’t tell if there was recognition in his eyes or confusion, but I wanted to watch this scene play out to see what Mr. Drama Queen’s next move was going to be.
~~~
THIRD PERSON POV
Walking along the tracks in the woods, Stiles was more confused than ever about Scott’s last statement, but that went to the back of his mind when Scott put his arm in front of him.
“Wait, wait. Down,” Scott said, pulling Stiles to stand behind a tree that was split in two.
“Why’re we stopping?” Stiles asked.
Scott pointed in front of them, saying, “It’s there.” The track diverter. “It can’t be this easy.”
“Yes, it can, Scott,” Stiles said, looking at his best friend for a moment. “It can be this easy. For once, let’s do easy.” He stepped between the two trunks of the tree, going for the diverter.
“Okay,” Scott said, following behind Stiles.
Stiles reached forward, but was stopped by a whip wrapping around his wrist. “Oh, God.” He was pulled back, landing on his back with a grunt as Scott rushed forward. As his back hit the ground, Stiles groaned out in pain. “Or not.”
Douglas, who had the whip, pulled on it, sending Stiles back into a cloud of green smoke.
~~~
His back connected to the lockers behind him, Stiles grunting in pain as he landed on the floor. He sat up a little, looking around the room he was in, he said, “Nope. Not easy at all.”
~~~
FIRST PERSON POV
“Attention all passengers. The train will be arriving in 12 minutes,” a voice said over the intercom. I finally realized who it was and sighed.
“When I find Scott McCall and Liam Dunbar, both boys are gonna be blessed to have their wolf powers,” I said.
“Why?” Lydia asked.
“Because they’re going to be running away from me as I try to murder their asses,” I said, crossing my arms. She gave me a weird look that I sighed at. “The voice on the PA is Corey’s, which means that he was taken, and Scott and Liam didn’t bother to tell me.”
As I was stewed in my being upset, Malia explained everything to Peter, who was sitting on top of the bench he was just preoccupying.
Peter turned to face us, looking at Malia. “Me? You want me to stop them? You know how many there are?”
“Yeah,” Malia said. “A lot of them. So get going.”
“Oh, Malia,” I said, face palming.
She grabbed Peter’s arm, pulling him off from the top of the bench.
“There are hundreds of waiting rooms in this train station which apparently now also serves as a high school library,” Peter said, the three of us girls walking behind him. “It’s impossible.”
“Nothing’s impossible,” I said.
“We can try,” Malia said.
“Where do you get this implausible optimism?” Peter asked.
“Definitely not from my father,” Malia retorted, walking around him, Lydia and I following.
“We don’t have time for this,” I said.
“We need someone to just hear us,” Lydia said.
“I think we already did,” Peter said.
As we stood by a dark archway, wind hit us in the face as a Ghost Rider came stalking towards us, flipping his jacket back like a cape.
“Oh, God,” I said. “This is so not going to be easy.”
~~~
THIRD PERSON POV
Coming out of the locker room, Stiles heard Scott yell out his name. As he rounded the corner, the two almost ran right into each other, Scott reeling his arm back in defense mode.
“Damn! Man! Are you okay?” Scott asked.
“I think so. I finally saw the girls’ locker room,” Stiles said. “Now I know why Emma spends all her time in ours. It’s not that different. It’s kind of disappointing.”
“What just happened?” Scott asked, both boys now walking down the hall together.
“I don’t know. The worlds-- I think they’re collapsing in on each other.”
They heard Corey’s voice over the PA, saying, “Attention, all passengers. The train will be arriving in 11 minutes.”
“Em’s gonna kill me,” Scott whispered before he looked over at Stiles. “We gotta get back to the diverter.”
“Yeah,” Stiles said. “Wait, why is Emma gonna kill you?”
“I may or may not have told her that Corey got taken,” Scott said, more of a question than a statement.
“God, you’re a dumbass.”
“Yeah, I know.”
The boys both went to exit through the double doors, but ran into a slight problem. Both of them disappeared into another cloud of green smoke.
~~~
FIRST PERSON POV
Malia decided that now was the time to activate her Were side; her Coyote Blues shining and fangs on display. She even brought out her claws. Going to move to slash at the Ghost Rider, Lydia and I jumped in front of her.
“Get behind us,” I said. “They won’t take Banshees.”
“You sure about that?” Peter asked, coming to stand a couple of feet in front of us. The Ghost Rider whipped at us with his whip, Lydia and I jumping back with grunts, our breathing quick.
Peter brought out his claws and slashed at the Rider… only his claws did nothing. He did it once more just to see, nervously chuckling before everybody else started panicking. He kept slashing at the Rider, nothing happening, but that wasn’t going to stop him.
Lydia, Malia and I turned around and booked it… only to be stopped by another Rider after a few steps, the Rider circling his whip around his head, bringing it down to, well, whip one of us. Malia pushed me into Lydia, getting us out of the way of the Rider’s whip. Malia’s arm was the victim in this as the whip cracked on her.
“Malia!” I heard Peter yell. Awww, he’s trying to be a good father… for once. He ran over to us, holding his daughter from behind, saying mine and Lydia’s name, pushing Malia into us. He stood in between the Riders looking at each one before doing a 180 and grabbing the side of the bench closest to him, kicking the Rider in the chest, successfully knocking him down.
“He did it,” Malia said.
Peter went to kick at the Rider he’d just knocked down, only to be pushed back by the Rider’s foot. He slid on the ground for a moment before standing, grabbing the Rider’s arm that held the whip, aiming to toss him into the other Rider… who dodged his friend and let him fall to the ground. The Ghost Rider still standing stalked over to Peter, who ducked as the Rider tried to crack his whip at him. The former Alpha put the Rider into a headlock, only to be tossed over onto the floor.
“He’s not doing so well,” I whispered.
The first Rider he’d knocked down picked him up from the floor, putting his back against the end of the bookshelf, trying to suffocate him.
“Malia, go!” Peter said the best he could.
The three of us booked it out of the library, leaving Peter to defend for himself. I guess Malia had other plans because I watched as she stopped and turned around to face Peter, who again, was being held up by a Rider.
“Em, come on!” Lydia yelled.
The last thing I heard as I ran with Lydia into the hallway was Malia growling.
Coming to a stop in the hallway across from the library, I looked at Lydia, taking in deep breaths. “Ya’know,” I said, swallowing hard. “She’s never gonna learn.”
Lydia chuckled at me, shaking her head.
Having a weird feeling, I looked at the hall in front of me, not sure if Lydia felt it, too. I guess I didn’t care whether or not she did because I just started walking, following my gut instinct.
I felt Scott’s presence in the school, not really feeling anyone else's. Guess that part of my abilities is slowly fading just like my hearing. Awesome.
But as I walked further into the hallway, I could feel someone else’s presence.
Stiles.
~~~
THIRD PERSON POV
Back slamming into the lockers again, Stiles groaned in pain, exclaiming, “Damn iiiiiit!” He grunted and panted, walking towards the door. He opened it, but to his surprise, a Ghost Rider was standing on the other side waiting for him.
After the Rider pointed his gun at Stiles, he grabbed the Rider's wrist, trying to get him to drop it. Instead of dropping his gun, the Rider shot off a single shot, pushing Stiles off of him.
“Scott, I can’t fight this guy!” Stiles yelled.
The Rider cocked his gun and pointed it back at Stiles, gunshot ringing out as Stiles ducked out of the way. When Stiles stood again, the Rider had his gun pointing at his head.
Thinking back to when Emma was in the Vault, he closed his eyes, his last thought of his beautiful girlfriend.
Or so he thought.
~~~
FIRST PERSON POV
Stiles’ presence led me to the girl’s locker room, where I saw a Ghost Rider pointing his gun at Stiles’ head. Oh, hell no.
I lifted my hands, letting out my Banshee scream, sending the Rider into the lockers and down to the ground, either passed out or dead, I didn’t care. I just wanted my Stiles back as I ran into the locker room.
Seeing him for the first time in months, tears started to form in my eyes. I pulled my lips over to the left side of my face, turning my head a little to the right. “I didn’t say it back.” I guess he was just as shocked as I was, but he disregarded it, walking towards me, saying, “You don’t have to.”
I met him halfway, our lips meeting in a long, overdue kiss. Our lips moved in sync as we enjoyed being with each other again. When I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I pulled away, looking him in the eyes, him doing the same.
I sighed, tears flowing down my cheeks as I wrapped my arms around his middle, putting my head against this chest, never wanting to let go.
He returned the hug, putting his arms around my shoulders and resting his head on top of mine.
“Come on, let’s go find Scott,” he said. He took my hand, leading me out of the locker room and down the hall. We got about halfway when my eyes lit up their Banshee Green. “Emma?” “Found him,” I said.
Stiles’ grip on my hand got a little tighter as we ran down the hall towards the doors. We had just put our hands on the handle when we heard his mother’s voice, turning to our left. Nothing was there.
“Stiles? Stiles, is that you?” Claudia’s voice rang through.
“Mom?” Stiles asked, quietly.
“Babe, that’s not your mom,” I said, him pulling me to walk down the other hallway.
“I know who it is. I know her voice. You do, too.”
“No, handsome. That’s the Wild Hunt. They’re tricking you. Stiles, babe, please believe me.” We came to a stop as I continued my explanation. “The Wild Hunt brought her back, but she’s not real.”
He turned his head over his shoulder to look at me. “What do you mean brought her back?”
“Stiles,” Claudia said. We looked down the hall at her as she walked towards us. “I know what you’ve been through. I know how much you love your father.”
Stiles let go of my hand, walking towards his mother… who wasn’t actually his mother. What scared me the most about this whole thing wasn’t the fact that her face changed from the Claudia I once knew as a kid to one of a Ghost Rider, but the fact that Stiles was believing that this was his mother.
As Claudia came to a stop in front of Stiles, her voice distorted as she said, “But I love him more. Even from the Hunt, you somehow wormed your way back into his memory.”
“Yeah, worming’s one of my skills,” Stiles retorted. Even facing danger, he’s still his old, sarcastic self.
I took the few steps towards him, lacing my left fingers with his right, wrapping my right hand around his arm and I turned my body to face him. “That thing is conjured from your dad’s pain. If he remembers you, he can’t believe in her.”
“That’s why you have to go,” Claudia said.
She stepped forward as I pushed Stiles back, ready to scream before she grabbed my throat, successfully stopping it from exiting my body. Stiles came back, though, to save me from asphyxiation… only to put himself in my spot.
“You shouldn’t treat your mother that way,” Claudia said.
“You’re not my mother,” he said, voice strained.
I was too busy grabbing at my own throat and taking deep breaths while leaning on the wall to realize that Claudia had backed Stiles up into the wall next to them a few feet down.
I looked up and over in the direction I heard Scott’s roar, my own eyes responding. Since his roar was louder than what I’ve always heard, the Were part of me responded, my own roar filling up the space, though it was mixed with my Banshee scream.
I looked down at Claudia, not liking the fact that Stiles was turning purple.
“He believes in me,” she said. “Dreams. So hard to kill.”
Sheriff walked in front of me, facing his son and not-so-real wife. “But not impossible.” He shot at her, the bullet going right through her.
“Noah,” she said. “Your bullets can’t hurt me.”
I walked up next to Sheriff, hearing Lydia’s heels clicking on the linoleum floor. I turned and looked at her before looking back at Claudia and Stiles.
“Fire again,” I said, voice hoarse from being grasped and then screaming.
Sheriff fired off another bullet, Lydia and I holding our hands in front of us, both of us screaming. Aaaaaaand my voice is now gone.
I leaned forward, resting my hands on my knees, feeling Lydia’s hands on my back as we felt rumbling, hearing horses neighing. Lydia leaned me up, pressing me into Sheriff’s side as we all collectively heard the Ghost Riders chittering, lights flickering on and off.
I groaned quietly, putting my hands over my ears as the unmistakable sound of a train squealing on the tracks filled my ears. When the noise passed, I uncovered my ears, looking over at Lydia… then everything went black.
~~~
Waking up the next morning, I felt a weight on my waist. Confused, I looked at who the arm belonged to, smiling when I saw Stiles, sleeping like a baby. Carefully, I rolled from my left side to my right, only to realize that when I flipped over to face him, we were clothing optional. I guess I had a really good time with Stiles last night.
Smiling at my handsome boyfriend, I leaned up as gently as I could to press my lips to his, only to be beaten by said boy himself. Humming as we pulled apart, I smiled and licked my lips. “Hm. I’ve missed that so much.”
“Me, too,” he said. “Me, too.”
“Since we still have to go to school, let’s get up, get our showers and head off, okay?” I said, poking his nose.
He groaned in protest, pulling me closer to his body. “No. I vote we stay right here all day.”
“Stiles,” I warned. “It’s our last day of school.” I sat up, excited. “Our last day as Seniors.” I threw the covers off me, grabbing a shirt from the pile on the floor and putting it on. “Get dressed.” I said, dashing out of his room and into mine. I quickly got dressed, hair and makeup done when Stiles showed up in my doorway.
I looked at him after shouldering my backpack purse and smiled. “What?” He smirked at me, shaking his head. “Just wondering how I got so lucky.”
Smiling as I walked toward him, I reached my hand out, asking him to take it. “Ask the parentals.”
Shaking his head again, he chuckled. “You really need to stop watching early 2000’s movies. You quote them too much.”
“Oh, like you and Star Wars?” I retorted.
“Hey, don’t knock Star Wars. You always fall asleep.” I nodded once, smirk on my own face. “That I do. Now, let’s go.”
~~~
Pulling up into the school’s parking lot, Stiles parked his Jeep in his usual spot before getting out and rounding the Jeep, opening my door and helping me out. He pulled me into his side, giving me a sweet kiss before walking me inside of Beacon Hills High School for the last time as a student.
Classes went by like normal, all of us having the last class of the day together.
“Have a great summer, everyone,” Mr. Croft said. I think it went on deaf ears as most of the class left.
“No,” Stiles said.
“To the Seniors, I’ll see you at graduation.”
“No, no, no, no. That’s it? What?” Stiles turned around and faced me, Malia sitting behind me, Scott and Lydia in the desks next to me.
“Last day ever,” Scott said, a smile plastered all over his face.
“Hell yeah!” I exclaimed.
Stiles looked back at me, saying, “Well, it just feels so anticlimactic.”
“Well, there’s the whole graduation thing,” Lydia said.
“I’ve gotta go to summer school or I can’t do the whole graduation thing,” Malia said.
Scott got up out of his seat, saying, “Let’s do it.” Malia, Lydia and I following suit.
“No, come on,” Stiles protested. “Wait… guys. This can’t be it.”
I was standing at my locker, cleaning it out for the last time ever. It was weird that I was going to miss a locker, but it’d been mine for the last four years. What can I say? I was attached.
“I can’t believe we’re not in high school anymore,” Scott said, gaining my attention. He was talking to Stiles, but I didn’t care. “Kind of feels like nothing’s really changed.”
Having a hand on my locker door to close it, I looked from Scott to Stiles as he lifted his head up and over to look at me. Smiling at him, I grabbed the ring that occupied my neck.
“Everything’s changed,” Stiles said. He reached out for my hand, and I gladly took it, lacing our fingers.
Walking out to his Jeep, it really started to hit that high school life is over, and the real world is about to hit us in the face. Hard.
Letting go of my hand, Stiles handed me his backpack before giving me a quick kiss. We’d been doing that a lot since we saved him from the Hunt. He messed around with something under the hood as I put our bags in the backseat, where I knew I was going to be sitting.
“Okay!” Stiles said, coming around to the back of the Jeep. “So, Liam, since you’re the new Alpha--”
“He’s not an Alpha,” I interrupted. I looked at Liam, winking, “I got your six.”
“Well, ya’know, Alpha-In-Training.”
“He’d have to kill an Alpha,” I retorted.
“Babe,” Stiles said, causing me to chuckle. He looked back at his intended target. “Liam, since you’re taking over, the most important thing you can remember is that Mason is always gonna be the one who’s there to save your ass all the time.”
“Well, not all the time,” Scott said, offense in his voice.
“Most of the time though.”
“You sound a little bit proud there, babe,” I said.
“Little bit,” he said, looking down at me. He looked back at Mason, train of thought going back to the station it was originally stopping at. “Which is why… I think you’re gonna need this,” he said, reaching into the Jeep and pulling out his trusty bat.
“Aw, not your trusty bat!” I whined.
“Uh, I don’t play baseball,” Mason said.
“Right, neither do I. It’s-- it’s not the point,” Stiles said, handing the bat to Mason.
“Okay, thanks.”
“There you go,” Stiles said, Mason and Liam walking away. “Love you guys. Alright. I leave you with this.” He pulled out a roll of duct tape, handing it to Scott. “Ya’know, hurt her and I’ll kill you.”
I scrunched my brows. “Since when is Roscoe a girl name?”
Stiles looked at me, giving me an unamused look. “Would you just go with it?”
I chuckled, putting my hands up.
“You sure you won’t need it?” Scott asked.
“It’s okay. Emma and I are gonna fly to DC. She’s gonna help me move into my dorm, so…”
I sighed, not wanting to be thinking about the 80 minute flight I’d be taking after. Thinking about being 443 miles away from Stiles is already sending me into a state of anxiety. “Then Mom’s gonna fly to DC with a connecting flight to Boston to help me move into mine. I don’t even know I got in to Harvard.”
“Your mom, plus you’re a genius,” Scott said.
“The real question is; how did you, Scott McCall, get into UC Davis?” I sassed.
“How did Stiles get into George Washington?” Scott asked back.
“I don’t know,” Stiles said. “Uh, your dad. The, uh, big FBI pops made a call to the little pre-FBI program.” “Pre-FBI,” Scott and I said. I was so proud of each of my boys, equally.
I looked down, tears starting to fill my eyes. “Wow, I guess we’re not the same kids running around the woods looking for a body.”
Stiles put his arm around my shoulder. “No, we’re not.” He pulled out a keyring with a crap ton of keys on it, tossing them around lightly in his hand.
“Ya’know, you can keep the Jeep,” Scott said.
“No, I -- I want you to have it,” Stiles said, looking up at Scott, handing him the keys.
“Woah. Stiles, these aren’t the keys to the Jeep.”
“Well, that’s one to your house, another to your room, Emma’s house, uh… master key to the school, Animal Clinic, key to the Sheriff station, Emma’s Jeep--”
“You made a copy of my Jeep key?” I asked.
“Well, yeah. Just in case you wanted me to drive it somewhere and you don’t have your set, so…” he explained.
I smiled at him, cupping his cheek with my right hand. “You’re such a cute little psychopath.”
“Guys,” Scott said.
“Right, sorry,” Stiles said. “Just figured you should have all the copies I secretly made, so…”
I reached into his right pocket, taking the actual keys to the Jeep out, looking at them.
“They still need us,” Stiles said, looking over at the students piling out of the school.
“They’ll always need us,” Scott agreed.
“And, ya’know, I--” Stiles said. “I need you--” He looked down at me as I nodded my head before he looked back up at Scott. “To… be my best man.”
Scott looked at us, eyes wide with shock. “You’re getting married?”
“Well, not right away, but we know we want to. I already have Lydia as a bridesmaid. I asked Malia, but she said wearing a dress makes her feel too girly, so she opted out,” I said. “We’re gonna miss you, Scotty,” I added, a tear falling down my cheek.
“No, really, I need you, though, uh-- I lost my license in the Hunt. So you have to drive,” Stiles said.
“Babe, your dad is the Sheriff and my dad is his right hand Deputy,” I chuckled. “I’m sure they’ll let it slide. You drive.” I held the keys up to him, smiling.
Scott put the duct tape back in the Jeep, all three of us moving to get in. Me first through the drivers side, taking my place in the middle with Scott and Stiles in their respective seats.
I leaned forward, hands on the backs of each seat as Stiles started the Jeep, his police radio coming on.
“Unit Four, repeat,” Sheriff said. “You’re telling me there’s a body in the woods?”
“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Unit Four said. “There’s a body in the woods...”
I reached forward, turning the radio off as I looked between each boy that was looking at each other.
All I could do was smile and put my arm around Stiles’ front as he pulled out of the parking lot. I had my best friend, who was more like a brother. I had my other best friends, who were both currently planning out their summers since they were both single bitches. Get it, girls.
But the most important person who I had in my life… was Stiles.
And I couldn’t wait to start the rest of my life with him.
Thiam Fanfic of the Week
Tumblr media
***** someone teach me how to make those cool ass moodboards and fic inspired cover things, cause I’m hopelessly technology illiterate! *********
I know all sorts of things i don't believe by eneiryu
Rating: Explicit
Author’s Summary: So, anyway. That’s how Theo becomes pack-mom to Scott’s merry band of supernatural misfits.
Author’s Notes: Here, have 80,000 words of how I envision Theo helping the McCall pack hunt down Monroe and come to terms with himself while he does it.This story assumes that conversations similar to those had in my previous story nine mistakes were had. Minus, er. That last one with Liam. If it feels like a chapter is missing at the beginning, it might help to read that.Title take from this asofterworld comic as a placeholder and kept because it fit.
The very generous auqarellin has started a Russian translation on ficbook.net: i know all sorts of things i don't believe.
Status: Complete         Chapters: 3/3         Words: 80,819
Pairings:
Liam Dunbar/Theo Raeken
Scott McCall/Malia Tate
Derek Hale/Lydia Martin/Stiles Stilinski
Corey Bryant/Mason Hewitt
Chris Argent/Melissa McCall
Alec/Nolan (Teen Wolf)
My notes: Ok, I think I managed not to spoil anything! But this is literally an amazing fic! I have read it twice so far! Super easy and fast read despite being the perfect length! ( I tend to like longer fics) I found myself not wanting it to end. The dynamic between all the character’s and character’s personalities are perfectly written! Super cute side Stiles/Derek/Lydia poly relationship that's actually just perfect! I’m obsessed with Lydia just being an all around legend. Malia is actually hilarious, Scott is his adorable kinda dense usual self, Alec and Theo’s relationship is adorable! I love Alec, especially since he is such an underdeveloped character in the show, being only in the last episode in the very end! I feel like everything that I wanted done with him was! Nolan is just adorable as usual but not in a cliche way!
Theo is written perfectly, just the right amount of self deprecating, self sacrificing, soft, sarcastic, and cocky. You really get to see into his brain, again without it being too dramatic or cliche! You get some wonderful character development! Liam is just a fucking puppy dog, and super well written as well!
Slight spoiler waring: there is an amazing sex scene towards the end! I always feel like sex scenes are really cheesy in fics and super unrealistic, but this one is written really really well and I love it!
All together a 10/10 I love it, I would recommend it to literally anyone!
Ik that twocs2021 ended yesterday, but I wanted to take the time to reintroduce some TW OCs that I created awhile back, along with some new OCs being added to their story
First, we have Ondina and Jason Kawahara, a mermaid and merman sibling duo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The two of them grew up in Beacon Hills with Scott and co. Mostly hung around each other (sad, but true). Would shock people to know that they’re actually half-siblings because Ondina’s mom died before she was even a year old, and then her dad remarried her stepmom (whom she considers a real mom). Ondina’s mom and Jason’s mom were in the same mermaid pod together and were very close. Ondina is a skater chick with “immaculate gay beach vibes” (the immortal words of @decennia), while Jason has biker vibes with a splash of artist in there. Ondina has two love interests: Allison Argent (who was her gay awakening) and Malia Tate (her endgame).
Jason is actually apart of a poly ship with Scott McCall and my next OC:
Adhira Desai, an Alpha without a Pack
Tumblr media
Her parents and her entire pack was killed by the Alpha Pack for not aligning themselves with them, but what they didn’t realize was that little Adhira was with her godfather that day and when he saw her eyes turn red all of a sudden, he knew what happened. Many years passed when Adhira was finally old enough to exact her revenge, and upon hearing they were going to Beacon Hills, she immediately went there. Adhira is an English nerd who loves books and tea, as well as playing the piano
Eventually, around s4, we meet a trio that Adhira adopts into her own pack. First, there’s Damini, a thunderbird whose eventual love interest is Kira
Tumblr media
Next, there’s Zane Henderson, a born werewolf whose love interest is Hayden
Tumblr media
And finally, Ash Okafor, a bitten werewolf whose love interest is Liam
Tumblr media
The three of them met in foster care (Damini and Zane met first), and decided to run away together because they all hated their foster parents and Damini always felt that she was being hunted (for what, she didn’t know). After awhile, they stumbled across Beacon Hills and a very confused young!Derek Hale, which was how they got roped into the McCall/Desai pack shenanigans. The three of them really took a shine to Adhira, Jason, and Ondina, leaving Adhira deciding to bring them into the fold.
That’s all I really have for those three. Ondina, Jason, and Adhira are more developed as mentioned above, so if you have questions, let me know!
If you were to ask me what I’d be doing with my night, I’d be lying if I said laying in bed with Stiles, wrapped up in the sheets, listening to his heartbeat. But alas, that’s not what I’m currently doing. But what I was doing was standing in between Scott and Stiles with my arms crossed, scowl on my face, watching my loving boyfriend get a brace put on two of his fingers. Erratic driving, kids. Don’t do it.
“What in the hell... were you three thinking?” Sheriff asked.
“Don’t put me in that equation. I was dragged into this,” I said, turning to face my godfather.
“We were just trying to help,” Scott said.
Dad chuckled. “Why don’t you try and help us understand…” He lowered his voice to a whisper. “...what the hell happened here?”
“Right, well, we were trying to gently persuade him to pull over…” Stiles said.
“Yeah,” Scott said.
“That’s not exactly how I would put it,” I muttered.
If you think that Scott wolfed out on top of the dude's hood is us gently persuading him to pull over… then you’d be correct… because that’s exactly what happened.
“He was getting away,” Scott said, more as a question than a statement.
“He got away,” Dad and Sheriff said.
“Right. Because obviously he’s some sort of criminal mastermind, Dad,” Stiles said.
Sheriff and Dad moved around us, walking to the back of the van we were… persuading to pull over… well, actually, just the boys. I was just an accessory.
“Uh-huh,” Sheriff said.
“You wanna guess what the stolen merchandise is?” Dad asked.
Sheriff opened the back doors of the van, revealing what looked like tanks. “Hmm?”
My face fell as I looked at the tanks. “Oh, no,” I muttered, putting my thumb and middle finger against my temples.
“Critical life-saving medical equipment?” Stiles asked.
“No,” Sheriff said.
“Poison gas?”
“Nope,” Dad said.
“Filled with drugs?”
Both Sheriff and Dad leaned forward, saying, “Helium.”
“Helium?” Stiles said… more like singsong stuttered.
“Get my daughter home. Now,” Dad said.
“On it,” Scott said.
The three of us walked back to the Jeep, Scott hopping in the driver’s seat, me in the back, and Stiles in the passenger seat.
Scott drove us down the road, silence filling the Jeep for a little bit. “This could be a good thing,” he said.
I watched as Stiles leaned down in his seat a little, bringing his right foot up to rest on the seat. “That we saved helium?” he asked.
I moved from the middle of the seat to over behind Stiles, putting my arms around his shoulders the best I could, resting my chin on his shoulder.
Scott chuckled. “I mean, that--”
“What he means, babe, is that… they don’t need us anymore,” I said, tilting my head to the side, getting a good look at the constellation on the left side of his face.
Stiles scoffed at my statement, looking out of his window. “Okay, well, they need us. They just don’t know it.”
“We’re all going off to college soon,” Scott said. We both looked at each other before he nodded at me. I turned my head back to look at Stiles, shifting forward in my seat a little to see him better.
“So Beacon Hills is gonna have to survive without us,” I said, gentleness coming through.
“Beacon Hills will burn to the ground without us,” Stiles said.
“Babe,” I said, putting my hand on his right cheek, guiding his face towards me so I could look into those whiskey eyes. “They don’t need us.”
He turned his face in my hand, kissing my palm. His phone vibrating broke apart our little moment, causing me to scoot back a little for him to retrieve his phone from his pocket.
He jumped forward a little, foot dropping back to the floorboard. He held his phone up, his dad’s name on his phone. “They need us!”
~~~
We get to the station, standing by Sheriff’s office door as he walks up to a little boy sitting in a chair in front of his desk… my dad standing in the office with his best friend.
“Alex, you know we’re having trouble locating your parents,” Sheriff said, kneeling in front of the kid we now know as Alex.
Dad knelt next to Sheriff, telling Alex, “And since you can’t remember anything, we have a method, an unusual method that might help you remember.”
“But we need you to be okay with it,” Sheriff added. “We also need you to know that it’s probably gonna hurt.”
“I don’t care,” Alex said. “I just want to find my mom and dad.”
Sheriff and Dad looked at each other for a moment before looking back over their shoulders at me, Scott and Stiles.
The three of us walked in the office, shutting the door. Dad wrapped his arm around my shoulders, giving me a quick side hug before helping Sheriff close the blinds.
I went back to Stiles’ side, wrapping my arm around the middle of his back. Sheriff and Dad came to stand behind us, observing Scott and Alex.
“You ready?” Scott asked from his squat next to Alex, who nodded his head. Scott put his fingers near the back of Alex’s neck, flicking his claws out, digging them in. Alex’s eyes rolled in the back of his head, letting me know that Scott was successfully seeing Alex’s memories.
After a few minutes of just watching Scott and Alex, the Alpha came out of his trance, standing up and backing into me and Stiles, gasping.
“What’d you see?” Stiles asked.
“I saw a guy… on a horse,” Scott said.
“Horse?” I asked. “Like, neigh, horse?”
Scott looked over at me. “He had a gun.”
“Okay,” Sheriff said. “A guy with a gun. That sounds like our department, not yours.”
“What about his parents? What happened to them?” Stiles asked.
“I don’t know,” Scott said. “That’s all I remember. But… I got this feeling.”
“What kind of feeling?” Sheriff and Dad asked.
“They’re coming back,” Alex said.
I looked over, seeing that his head had fallen forward when Scott retracted his claws.
Alex looked up at us. “They’re coming for me.”
~~~
We called Lydia and Malia to come and help us out. Lydia for me and Malia… well, she could help by sniffing them out.
I was sitting inside of the car, trying to get a premonition while Lydia, who was outside of the car, put her hand on the glass, trying to get the same thing.
Getting nothing, she walked to the passenger side, getting in.
I closed my eyes, continuing to try and get the feeling, but came up short. I opened my eyes, looking at myself in the rearview, Lydia humming.
From the backseat, my loving spazzed out boyfriend popped up. “What?”
“This is a perfect shade for me. Forget the name,” Lydia said, motioning to her eye makeup.
I sighed as Stiles said, “Can we please stay on topic here?”
“Babe, we’re not getting anything,” I said, looking at him through the rearview.
Hearing Malia howling, Lydia got out of the car, clothes in hand. “I don’t think they’re dead,” Lydia said, handing Malia her clothes back.
“They’re dead. Probably torn apart,” Malia said.
“Good way to be optimistic for a kid,” I sassed.
Ignoring me, Malia continued, “The only thing I don’t get is why there’s no blood.”
“They’re not dead,” Lydia said.
“If they were dead, we’d sense it,” I said, motioning back and forth between Lydia and I.
“If they were alive, I’d smell it,” Malia said, putting her shirt back on.
“Yeah, Em, I’m not getting anything either,” Scott said.
“Scott, what are you talking about? You were in his head for four minutes,” Stiles said.
“He timed it,” I added.
“Well, it’s not an exact science,” Scott said. “And he’s a kid. Maybe he’s too freaked out to remember.”
“Why does it matter if they’re dead?” Malia asked. “Dead is dead.”
Stiles leaned against the car behind him, grabbing my hand and pulling me to stand in front of him, his arms wrapping around my waist. “Okay, if it’s just a robbery, we can’t help them.”
“And if it’s supernatural, our dad’s can’t help them,” I added.
“It sounds like the two of you want it to be supernatural,” Lydia said.
“Oh, no. Not me,” I said, pointing to myself then to Stiles with my next words. “Talk to him.”
“It’s been, like, three months since anything’s happened,” Stiles said.
“Yeah, and once a week you drag me and Emma out of bed like we’re some sort of supernatural metal detectors,” Lydia countered.
“Okay, it is way more often than that,” Stiles said. “Y-y-you can’t tell me that you think this is just some series of impossible coincidences?”
“What I’m saying is maybe that wouldn’t be so bad.” Lydia and Malia walked off, the were-coyote hair flipping on the way out.
Stiles had stood up while he and Lydia were arguing, moving to my left to walk after them.
I looked over at Scott, giving him my best help me fix this face as he took a few steps towards us.
Stiles turned around and faced Scott, neither of them saying anything. Stiles sighed and walked to the drivers side of the car, getting in and slamming the door shut.
I sighed, “Scotty.”
“What do you want me to do, Em?”
“Go be his best friend. He needs that right now.”
Scott sighed and hung his head for a moment. “You’re also the one that said they didn’t need us.”
“And now I’m retracting my statement. Scott, you saw something in Alex’s head. You know what happened to his parents, even if you don’t remember at this very moment. You will eventually.” I looked over at Stiles, seeing him either sulking or trying to figure something out. “So, the both of us are gonna walk over to the car, and talk to him. Well, you are. I’ll just stand there and look pretty.” I walked over to the car, resting my elbows on the window sill.
“You’re staring at a broken windshield,” I sing-songed, feeling Scott stand behind me.
Stiles sighed, staring at the windshield. “There’s something wrong with it.”
“It’s broken,” Scott said. “And it wasn’t a magic bullet. It was a regular bullet. That blew out a regular windshield. Just like that one, and that one…”
I looked around at all the windshields Scott was pointing out before looking back to the car we were at. “You wanna rethink that one, Scotty?”
He didn’t pay attention to me, keeping his gaze on the last car, whispering, “...and that one.” He looked back at me and Stiles, finally picking up what I was putting down.
Stiles leaned forward, picking up a piece of the windshield, looking at it intently. “Magic bullet.”
~~~
The next morning, I made sure to get up earlier than normal to get myself ready for picture day. It was my last yearbook photo ever for High School and I wanted to look my absolute best.
I sat down at the stool in front of Sydney, who was standing behind the camera. I smiled my best smile… before my awesome boyfriend came up and ruined it.
“Emma, so…” Stiles said, stopping at the sound of the camera shuttering. He looked at Sydney quickly before looking back at me. “My bad, sorry, go ahead, look pretty.”
I shook my head, putting on my best smile again… getting interrupted again.
“One sec--” Stiles said, looking at Sydney… again.
“That was a good one!” Sydney said.
This went on for three more pictures.
“Stiles!” I said.
“You’re still in the photo,” Sydney said.
“Sorry,” Stiles said.
“You ruined it,” I groaned, pushing him back towards our table. “My last yearbook photo ever, and ya ruined it.”
“Why would I want to ruin your yearbook photo?” Stiles asked.
“Maybe because you haven’t signed up for your own photo yet?” Malia suggested.
“No,” I said, sitting down next to Scott. “I watched him fill out the form.”
“She’s right,” Stiles said, pulling the paper from his back pocket. He unfolded it, showing it to Malia.
“It’s blank!” she said.
Stiles looked at it, a confused look all over his face. “Uh…
“That can’t be right,” I muttered, taking the paper from his hand. Sure enough, it was blank. I hummed, handing it back to him.
“Or maybe you’re sublimating the stress of graduating by avoiding key milestones,” Scott said.
We all looked at him like he was a little crazy.
“Psych paper.”
I gasped. “Oh, my God!” I smacked Scott on the arm. “Why didn’t you remind me?!”
Scott just chuckled as Stiles put his hands on my shoulders. I leaned back against him.
“Hey, your dad searched the car. No slugs, no exit holes. And the address Alex gave my dad, it’s an abandoned house. Come on! Missing parents, suspicious guy on horseback, magic bullet. Who’s comin’ with?” Stiles said, a little pep in his step.
“I’ve got to retake my photos and start my Psych paper,” I said, looking up at him.
“Yeah, not interested,” Lydia said.
“Yeah, I agree,” Malia said.
“I cannot miss any more classes,” Scott said.
“Scott. Scott,” Stiles said.
“I missed 38 last semester. And Lydia’s mom is the only reason I’m still in school. I can go after school.”
“Yeah, me too, babe,” I said.
“You know what?” Stiles said, taking his hands off my shoulders and taking a step back. I’d be flat on the ground if it weren’t for Scott’s wolf-like reflexes. Get it? Cause he’s a werewolf? Alright, nevermind. Back to Stiles. “Forget it. I’ll take Liam.” He sighed, looking over at Liam… who was with Hayden… locking lips. “Yeah, I’m not taking Liam.”
Scott hummed in agreement as Sydney came walking up, asking, “Hey, can I get a candid?”
“Uh, no,” Stiles said as Scott said, “Yeah, sure.”
Stiles motioned for me to stand up, so I did. He pulled me to sit sideways on his lap as Scott pulled him to sit in between him and Lydia.
“Okay, fine,” Stiles said. He reached in his pocket for the broken piece of the windshield. “If you can explain to me why this is blue, I’ll let it go.”
I looked at the piece of glass along with Scott, noticing that it was indeed blue… well, blueish-green.
“Everyone smile,” Sydney said.
Stiles put his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him as Scott leaned more towards us. I put my arm around Stiles shoulders, putting my hand on the side of his head, kissing his cheek.
After hearing the camera shutter, I looked at Sydney. “Can we get a couple copies? More like 3?”
She smiled. “Yeah, sure, Emma.”
~~~
I decided to go with Scott to ask Mrs. Finch about the piece of glass from the windshield… since Stiles was so adamant about it.
Mrs. Finch held up the glass, stating, “A chemical interaction could cause a tint.”
“What about the muzzle flash of a gun? Could that be blue or green?” I asked.
“A muzzle flash is created by superheated gases leaving a gun. Uhm, it’s possible that the gas could include copper, barium, cesium. Those can burn blue and green.”
“Can that tint the glass?” Scott asked, gesturing to the piece of glass in her hand.
“You think a gun did this?”
“Maybe,” Scott said while I said, “In theory.”
We took that information back to Stiles, who was more than eager to leave the school.
All of us walked down the hallway. Even though I stopped at my locker, I could hear their conversation.
“Thirty-nine?” Stiles asked.
I chuckled and shook my head, opening my locker.
“Thirty-nine,” Scott agreed.
I grabbed the notebooks I needed, closing my locker at the same time they opened the doors at the end of the hall… only to be escorted back in by Mrs. Martin.
“Neither one of you are going anywhere. That goes for you, too, Emma,” Mrs. Martin said.
I scoffed in shock, mouth open. “But I wasn’t--”
“Thirty-eight classes, Scott,” Mrs. Martin continued. “I had to beg the superintendent.”
“Mrs. Martin, Scott is the sworn protector of Beacon Hills,” Stiles said.
“He can protect it at 3:30,” Mrs. Martin countered.
The boys walked by my locker, Stiles with his hand out. I took it as he said to Scott, “We’re not waiting until 3:30.”
Yeah. That didn’t work out to his advantage.
We were currently sitting in our last class of the day, me in my normal spot between each boy. They were both watching the clock while I was doodling in my notebook; the sole reason I stopped at my locker to retrieve it.
I chuckled quietly as Stiles looked over in my direction, giving me a look that said he was fed the hell up with the slow moving hands on the clock.
I was in the middle of a doodle when I heard a woman singing. Scrunching my brows, I picked my head up, looking behind me at Lydia.
“Do you hear it, too?” I mouthed, to which she nodded. I looked back over at Stiles, seeing him tapping his thumb on his desk. He really should take up drumming.
Around 30 minutes had passed by before the bell rang. Scott and Stiles gathered their bags quickly, making their way out into the hallway with the rest of the students… save for me and Lydia.
Once I realized that Lydia was standing at my desk, I closed my notebook and shoved it into my bag, standing up to shoulder my straps. Lydia and I started walking out of the classroom, but I stopped walking when I heard rain pattering.
“Lydia, please tell me you hear the rain, too,” I said, a little bit of fear in my voice.
“Yup,” she said.
I looked at the TV, seeing that the static screen was on as thunder rolled. Lydia and I reached out to touch the screen when a bolt of lightning struck in front of us, sending us flying backwards.
I jolted in my seat, looking down at my notebook, seeing that I had drawn a bolt of lightning  on my paper.
“Em,” Lydia said.
I looked up at her, seeing her standing next to my desk. My phone ringing caused me to jump about 5 feet out of my skin. I grabbed it from my backpack, seeing Stiles’ face on my screen. “Yeah?” I answered.
“Where are you?” he asked.
“Still inside. I’ll be out in a minute,” I said, before I hung up. I sighed and stood from my desk, putting my phone in my back pocket.
Lydia and I both went outside, arms locked. Whatever the hell that premonition was, I didn’t want to know the meaning behind it.
I got in the front seat of the Jeep, taking Stiles’ hand once he got the vehicle in the gear he needed.
~~~
After getting to the house, I quickly got out of the Jeep so that Scott could get out. The three of us stood in front of the vehicle, looking at said house.
“Pretty nice,” I said. I tapped Stiles on the shoulder. “Wanna buy it?”
He chuckled and reached back for my hand, looking back at the house and sighing. “It’s not creepy at all.”
Stiles and I looked back at Scott, me handing him a flashlight before I felt a tug on my arm.
Scott was the first to walk in the house, me and Stiles right behind him. Part of me wishes that I hadn’t.
Cobwebs. Cobwebs everywhere. Made me shutter. “Uhm, that’s definitely not creepy at all,” I muttered.
We walked into the house more, the boys shining their lights through the house. Scott shined his light in what I figured was the dining room, a table for two set up.
Said Alpha turned to face Stiles and I. “Wanna split up?”
I grabbed Stiles’ hand a little tighter, wrapping my hand around his arm.
“Uh, absolutely not,” Stiles said.
“See, this is why I love you. You say what I’m thinking,” I said, looking off to my left at the staircase.
We slowly walked towards the staircase, Stiles stepping behind me.
“Just don’t touch anything,” he whispered.
Fun fact about me! I hate spiders. I have a fear of spiders. If there were such a thing as a were-spider, you can watch me catch the next flight to Nopesville.
Anyway. The three of us walked up the stairs, again cobwebs everywhere. Once we made it to the top of the staircase, there were two options; go right or left. We ended up choosing left since that’s where most of the doors up here were.
One of the rooms was completely empty, except for curtains. Looked like either an office area or a guest room.
“Maybe Alex got the address wrong,” Scott said, walking down the hall a little.
Stiles tugged on my arm to get me walking. “Or he lied,” he said.
Being up here gave me the creeps, like a… creepy Banshee vibe. It was weird. “Why would he lie?” I asked.
Another empty room… then another. Looking down at the last door of the hallway, we noticed one that was closed.
“Why is that door closed?” I said in my best Vernon impersonation from The Breakfast Club.
Stiles looked at me like he wasn’t impressed for a moment before he took a few steps towards the bedroom door, Scott and I following. Stiles paused for a moment before reaching forwards and opening the door. He walked into the bedroom first. Again, Scott and I followed behind him. What confused the hell out of me was that the bedroom was fully furnished, fit for a preteen boy.
“He didn’t lie,” Stiles said, looking back at me with his hand out.
“Why didn’t the cops say anything about this?” Scott asked.
Stiles and I looked at each other.
“They don’t know it’s here,” I said, looking back at Scott. “They can’t come here without a warrant, and there’s no owner of record to serve a warrant to.”
“And unless there’s some kind of threat or imminent danger, they wouldn’t come in,” Stiles added.
Scott looked around for a moment before putting on his focusing on his hearing face.
“What?” Stiles and I asked.
“I think I heard something,” Scott said.
“I would hope you heard something. You put on your concentration face when you hear something,” I said, crossing my arms.
Scott leveled me with a look before I raised my hands in surrender. The three of us moved to walk out of the room and into the hallway when Stiles stopped. He looked at pictures of Alex and the empty spaces beside him.
I walked up behind Stiles, putting my hand on his arm. “Looks like he took selfies. Really weird selfies.”
“Yeah, but look at this one,” he said, pointing to a frame on the desk. It was of Alex with his arm up, almost as if he was leaning against someone. The frame had #1 Dad on it.
“He must’ve taken this picture with his father,” I said. I rubbed my hand up and down on Stiles’ arm. “Don’t stress about this too much, handsome.”
“It’s hard not to,” he mumbled.
“Well then. I’ll just have to destress you later tonight,” I whispered into his ear.
He turned his head towards me, placing a kiss on my forehead.
“I’ll be downstairs with Scott, okay? Holler if you need me,” I said, giving his cheek a kiss before walking out of the room.
As soon as I was back downstairs, I noticed that Scott was looking at the table again that was set for two. “Scotty?”
“Em. Come look at this,” he said.
I walked over to him, seeing that there weren't plates and glasses sitting there anymore. He looked at me, the question filling his eyes.
I shook my head, “No. Banshee senses aren’t tingling.”
Scott and I decided to explore a little more before we heard footsteps approaching. We decided, like idiots, to follow the sound… running into Mason and Liam.
“What-what are you doing here?” Liam asked.
“This is Alex’s house,” Scott said.
“What are you doing here?” I asked, crossing my arms.
“This is where the compass led us,” Liam said.
“What compass?” Scott and I asked.
Mason stepped forward, showing us said compass… that was spinning like crazy. I looked over at the staircase upon hearing Alex’s bedroom door closing.
“Why is it doing that?” Scott asked, regaining my attention.
“I have no idea,” Mason said.
Liam pulled out his phone that had a compass on it already, it spinning like crazy as well. “They’re all doing it.”
“That’s strange,” I said. “I wonder why they’re all doing it.”
The glass on Mason’s compass shattered right before I heard thudding. I looked back at the staircase, saying Stiles’ name under my breath before I ran over to them and climbed them to get to my boyfriend.
“Stiles!” I yelled. When I rounded the last corner to the bedrooms, I saw him standing at the end near Alex’s room. “What? What happened?” I asked, rushing over to him and placing my hands on his cheeks quickly before putting them on his shoulders, his own hands coming to my arms.
“He was here. He shot at me,” Stiles said. He looked at Alex’s door then back at us. “It was one of the guys you saw in Alex’s memory.”
“The guy who took his parents?” Mason asked.
“No, no, no. They weren’t just taken,” Stiles said. “They were-- they were made to disappear. That’s why there’s no furniture, that's why they weren’t in any of the photos.”
It was quiet for a moment before it hit me like a bus. “They were erased.”
Stiles locked eyes with me for a moment before he quickly turned around and opened Alex’s bedroom door back up.
“Oh, shit,” I mumbled. What I saw was horrifying.
Alex’s bedroom was completely empty.
~~~
The five of us went back to the school to do research on what’s been happening the past few hours. It was nighttime by the time we were done for the night.
Stiles and I were walking along the sidewalk, him with a book in his hand. “I keep feeling like it’s familiar, ya’know? Like I’ve heard it before,” he said.
“Pensée a civage?” I said. “That’s French. A lingering thought you can’t reach.”
“Okay, well, is there a French word for, feeling an overwhelming sense of urgency and impending doom?”
I chuckled. “Anxiety?”
He looked like he wasn’t amused as my chuckles died down.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
He sighed. “Is your Banshee intuition saying anything about what this is?”
We stopped walking to face each other. “Babe, you don’t have to figure it all out right this second. Yes, it’s one of the things that I love most about you, but I also know how you get when supernatural stuff happens.”
“But this kid, babe. This kid’s got no one,” he countered. “Ya’know, and…” he flipped a page, looking at them. “There’s a reason why. There’s gotta be.”
I looked down at one of the pages, seeing the title The Lost Colony of Roanoke. “That’s a good, spooky story,” I said, pointing to the page.
Stiles sighed and closed the book. As soon as he did, thunder clapped and, oddly enough, I started hearing music. “Give this man a ride, sweet family will die. Killer on the road.”
“Riders on the Storm?” he asked.
“What?” I asked, the music disappearing.
“That’s the song, Riders on the Storm?”
My eyes widened a little as I pointed at him. “That’s it.”
“What’s it?”
“The Ghost Riders, babe. The Wild Hunt. They come by storm, riding horses, and they take people.”
He looked at me like I was the only girl in the world for a moment. “Emma, you’re so smart, I could kiss you right now!”
“Don’t kiss me unless a certain activity is gonna follow.”
“Not gonna, no. Mmm.” He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to my lips before running off, yelling, “Did it anyway!”
“You owe me, Stilinski!” I yelled back at him, following him back inside the school. “Where are we going?”
“To find Scott.”
Our running through the school brought us to Scott, who was leaving the lacrosse field.
“Scott! Scott,” Stiles said, coming up to his side. “Hey. It’s called the Wild Hunt.”
“It’s a myth,” I said.
“Only, apparently it’s real,” Stiles said. “Like every other myth in this town that should just really remain a nightmare.”
“The guy on the horse?” Scott asked.
“Yeah, they call them--” Stiles looked down at me.
“Ghost Riders. They call them Ghost Riders,” I said.
“Ghost Riders,” Stiles repeated. “Hang on a second. Hey, that’s my jersey. Where’d you get that?” he asked a random player passing by.
“Coach gave it to me at practice,” the kid said.
Stiles looked back at Scott. “We had practice?” He turned to face me. “We had practice?”
I raised my hands. “Don’t look at me. I didn’t know.”
“Why doesn’t anyone tell me anything?”
“I love you?”
“Why would the Ghost Riders take Alex’s parents?” Scott asked, getting back on track.
“Scotty, it’s what they do. They take people, okay?” I said.
“They run around collecting souls,” Stiles said. “And once they take you, you’re gone.”
“But it’s not just you, it’s everything about you,” Scott said.
“Yeah, like how they took Alex’s room,” Stiles said, before looking off the side, putting the pieces together.
“Does that mean Alex is next?” Scott asked.
My phone dinged with a text.
Lyds: Come meet me in the Math room. Just you.
“Lydia needs me. I’ll go see what she wants. Call me when you find something out,” I said, leaning up to give Stiles a kiss.
“Alright, beautiful,” he said.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
~~~
What I wasn’t expecting when I got there was to see Malia there as well.
“Hey, I got your text. You wanted me to meet you here?” I said.
“Em, something terrible is going to happen,” Lydia said.
“But I’m sure you already knew that,” Malia mumbled.
I sighed. “Yeah.”
“What is it?” Malia asked.
“I don’t know,” I said.
“That’s why I need your help,” Lydia said.
“Okay, wait a second. I’m here so that Malia can help you figure out what the hell’s gonna happen?” I asked.
“To help us,” Lydia informed.
I nodded my head once. “Gotcha. My bad. Continue.”
My phone started ringing, which caused me to groan in protest. “I’m sorry.” I grabbed my phone from my back pocket. “Hello?”
“Sweetheart? Where are you?” Dad said.
“At the school. Why?”
“I need you to come meet me. I need to see you with my own two eyes.”
I sighed. “Alright. I’m on my way.” I hung my phone up, looking at the girls. “I gotta run. My dad’s freaking out.”
Malia nodded. “Alright.”
~~~
As soon as I ran into the hallway, I crashed right into a body, who steadied me against them.
“Damn it, Stilinski,” I muttered.
“I’ll check the Quad,” Scott said. “Let me know if you find them. And see if your dad knows anything.”
“Hey, Scott, wait,” Stiles said.
Scott turned back around from the start of his run.
“Uhm, I-I just, uh-- I wanted to say, uhm…” Stiles sighed.
“Tell me later,” Scott said, running off again.
“Yeah, alright,” Stiles muttered.
“Find who?” I asked.
“Oh, no.”
“Who are you talking about? Find who?”
“Liam and Hayden,” Stiles said.
“And we’re finding them, why?” I asked.
“Because they might be next.”
Stiles turned around, almost running to Mrs. Martin as she said, “Whoa, whoa whoa!”
“Sorry,” Stiles said.
“Slow it down.”
“Sorry, Mrs. Martin, sorry,” I said.
“It’s quite alright, Emma,” she said.
“Hey, have you seen, uh, Liam and Hayden?” Stiles asked. “Actually, forget that. Have you seen our dads?”
“Who?”
“Our dads. They’re here because of the body?” I said.
She looked at me like she knew who I was, then looked at Stiles like she didn’t. “How do you know about the body?”
“Because my dad’s the Sheriff and her’s is his right hand Deputy,” Stiles said. “Mrs. Martin, are you okay?”
“Uh, just wait here,” she said before walking towards the doors Stiles had just come through.
We shared a look before we darted down the hall, looking for our dads. We weren’t running for very long before I was pulled by someone in another direction. Stiles noticed and his eyes went wide.
“I’ll catch up. Go.”
He dashed back down the hall as I turned and faced my dad.
“Hey, Daddy,” I said before being pulled into a bone crushing hug.
“Thank God you’re alright,” he sighed.
“You’re crushing me, so no. I’m not alright,” I groaned.
He pulled away, keeping his hands on my shoulders.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“Your friends found a body in one of the closets,” Dad said.
“Gross,” I said, before realization hit. “Wait. What friends?” “Liam, Hayden and Mason.”
“Which way did they go?”
“Uhm,” Dad said, looking around. “I think they went that way.” He pointed behind him.
My phone dinged again with another text message.
Lyds: Keep Stiles safe and with you. Don’t let him out of your sight.
To Lyds: Why?
Lyds: I know you heard the song. You’re always with him. Keep. Him. Safe.
“Uh, Daddy. I gotta go,” I said, looking from my phone to him. “I gotta go find Stiles.”
Dad looked at me like I was crazy. “Emma. Who’s Stiles?”
“My boyfriend? Your best friend's son? Dad, I--” I said, before realization hit me. “Oh, no. Not Stiles.” I ran around him, now on a wild man hunt to find the love of my life. “STILES!”
Running left and right, I was going around every corner, calling out for him. I finally found him coming out a set of double doors.
“Stiles!” I yelled, wrapping my arms around his neck.
“Emma? You know me. Oh, thank God. You know me,” he said, returning my hug.
“I know you,” I said. I pulled back, looking him in the eyes, my arms still wrapped around his neck. “But I think everyone else is forgetting.”
He looked behind me, the wind picking up. He looked off to his right, spotting something. “Hey, do you see him?” he asked, still looking in that direction.
I turned my head over my shoulder, not seeing anything there but the school, my hands dropping to his arms. “See what?” I asked, fear lacing my voice.
“The guy on the horse,” Stiles said, pointing to what he was seeing.
“Stiles, if you can see them, they’re gonna--” I said, tears already filling my eyes.
“No, I know, I know,” he said, putting his hands on my cheeks. “Okay. They’re comin’ for me. So you have to get away from me right now, okay?”
“Stiles, you’re fucking crazy if you think I’m leaving you,” I said.
He looked at me with all the love in the world. “Alright, come on, come on!” He laced our fingers, turned around and started running. “This way, this way. Come on.”
It was a good thing I was wearing my trusty Converses.
We turned a corner, but stopped at Stiles’ multiple whoa’s. He turned around, saying, “Okay, this way, come on.” before stopping again.
“Where are they?” I asked, looking around at the trees.
“They’re everywhere. Come on, come on. Emma, don’t look at them, okay? Don’t try to scream. They’ll take you, too. Just do not look at them.”
We ran towards the Jeep while Stiles was telling me what not to do before we both got in, me telling him that I wouldn’t. He fumbled with the keys for a second before putting them in the ignition before going absolutely still.
“Babe, what are you doing? We need to go!” I said.
He pulled the keys out of the ignition. “There’s no time.”
“No, there’s time. Just start the damn Jeep!”
“Emma-- Emma!” he said, turning to face me.
I sighed and looked at him, tears lining my eyes.
“Emma, I’m going to be erased, okay? Just like Alex. You’re gonna forget me.”
“I won’t. No, I won’t. I can’t,” I said, voice shaky.
“Beautiful, you will. Just try to find some way to remember me, okay? Remember how you were the first girl that slept in the same bed with me when I saved you in the woods? Remember how you were the first girl I ever danced with? Or how I had a crush on you Freshman year. Sophomore year before we got together? Remember the ring that’s sitting against your heart? Remember how you saved my life?”
“You saved my life, too. On multiple occasions,” I said, earning a small chuckle from both of us.
I reached forward and laced our fingers together, leaning my forehead against his, sighing as tears streamed down my face.
“Just remember…” he whispered. “Remember I love you.”
Before I could press my lips against his, the door opened and he was yanked from my grasp, the door closing again just a second after.
My hand was still hanging in the air, missing his touch so damn much.  I sat in the Jeep, looking out at the school in front of me, breathing deeply. “Remember.”
 I reached under the collar of my shirt, bringing my promise ring out and holding it. “Remember… Remember.”
~~~
I went home last night and fell asleep in Stiles’ bed with his shirt and a pair of my pajama shorts on, but when I woke up… I was in my room at my parents house.
I got dressed that morning like normal, but it seemed like I was waiting for something… or someone. I sat outside in the driveway, waiting for my ride when my mom came outside in a hurry.
“Emma? Why are you sitting in the driveway?” she asked.
“Waiting for my ride,” I said.
She looked at me a little funny. “You mean, the ride that’s sitting right there, that’s a white Jeep Commander?”
I looked at my Jeep, forcing a chuckle. “That’s the one!” I said.
“Alright, well, why don’t you get your little sassy butt to school?”
I fake saluted. “Aye, aye, Captain.”
Getting into my Jeep, I felt a little off. Almost like it was wrong to be driving myself to school.
When I got there, I parked in my normal spot, at the front of the school. I walked in, seeing Corey and Mason having a conversation, Liam and Hayden in all their couple glory, and everyone else walking and chatting with their friends.
Malia and Lydia walked in my view of my cousin and his friends.
“You okay?” Malia asked.
“Yeah, what’s wrong, honey?” Lydia asked.
“I have this feeling that I was supposed to do something,” I said.
Scott walked up then, asking, “Do what?”
I tilted my head to the side, tears lining my eyes and I grabbed the ring that was around my neck, holding it.
“I can’t remember.”
