Either way he’s absolutely smitten and so when he hears your name called out after his in class- he’s ecstatic that you’ll be on the same team

If you have a crush on someone else he’d be pretty bummed out but it won’t deter him

(He was especially motivated by sasuke and Sakura- it was just to get him away from them)

He’ll try to buy you ramen, flowers, honestly just anything to show you that he’s the most suitable suitor

Which couldn’t be further from the the truth (in the eyes of everyone else)

He’d be so open about liking you

Well, when he’s not around you

He’ll always talk about you and how wonderful you are- it’s so painfully obvious to any outsider looking in

And when someone brings up his more than obvious crush on you he’d flush and act as if they had gone mental

Also bonus points to you if you constantly back him up when he’s being teased and support his dream to be hokage

Well a certain period of time passes and throughout said period he’s constantly flirting with you

How? Well he’s always complimenting your fighting/ jutsu and trying to ask you out on a date

Going on about how he was just joking and I don’t know what

Then one day you end up accepting

Again, Sakura likely started liking you because of your attractiveness

It was just a surface level crush until she saw that you had an actual good character

She’s so beyond happy that you’ll be on the same team, I’m not even exaggerating

You’re all in the same class and so as classmates you’re all bound to have crushes on the same people

That’s to say- a good amount of people also had a crush on you and the moment your name was announced alongside hers-

She just mentally imagined flipping them all and shoving it in their faces

Miss girl is honestly so sweet, she’s always trying to spend time with you and if you have any trouble with anything

E.g. ninjutsu, fighting, etc. she’ll always be there to help

Maybe a little too willing at times

Now, we all know that Ino and Sakura have had this rivalry and often banter

Well, all of a sudden (if Ino isn’t fighting over you) she’s probably making fun of you and being very loud about her opinion on you

It’s either that she thinks you and Sakura are a perfect match (negative) or that you’re terrible and not the best option (also negative)

Either way you’re catching strays

Sakura obviously gets riled up over this and tries to defend you no matter where or when

Which leads to you being there for Sakuras Chunin exams and experiencing the whole match

It’s an event that leads to character growth- but when she goes back she doesn’t expect you to be there waiting for her

She’s honestly flattered you’d wait for her and is mentally smug about it

When she flirts with you it’s honestly super obvious too

I can’t even deny that

Like at times she’d defend you and act as though you’re always right and idk what else (which is her odd way of flirting because she sort of stares)

And then sometimes she just opens up about private stuff around you during the quiet moments

Plus she also gifts you little trinkets- like flowers or something casual and small

Either way- when she confesses it’s probably spontaneous asf

Like you’re walking around at night and she gets this urge to just spill her guts

And she does

She’s basically like why the hell not be like Naruto

She’s super flushed and awaits your response right then and there

If you like her back and know it- that’s that

But if you tell her you need to time to figure it out then she’ll accept

Just know she’s lying awake at night wondering regretting it

Sasuke Uchiha

He acts super neutral towards you

Which wouldn’t be an obvious pointer that you’re his crush towards the average person but cmon

He’s sasuke

So ofc it’s obvious he has a crush on you

Honestly the only way I’d see him having a crush on you would be if you were close to him pre massacre and have been by his side since forever

(Unless you’re willing to wait the long game *cough*cough* slow burn)

He’d be pretty dependent on you while also being super independent

It’s honestly confusing sometimes

When it comes to the whole you being apart of his team, he doesn’t feel a particular way about it

(Or so he tells himself)

He’d try so hard to be nonchalant around you

Like not even joking

But if someone insults you or does something slightly disrespectful- he’s giving them the death glare

And then excuses it with just being annoyed by (more often than not) Naruto

Since he usually pokes fun at ppl and stuff

(If you didn’t know him before the academy and even if you did) He’d probably admire your skills and how smart you are

Like he’d watch you from afar and is honestly jealous and simultaneously sees you as a rival

Again, super confusing.

The most affection you’d get from him at this stage is his (once in a lifetime) compliment about your fighting or something

Then he’d walk away

You’re left standing there super confused while he walks away with a light blush dusting his cheeks

He ain’t fooling nobody

He obviously feels super weird about having a crush on you because of his whole mission on finding his brother and -

Until you find out that Sasuke left the village and there’s no point in trying to go after him or anything at all really

It’s a betrayal to you and everyone else

It’s dark by the time you get home and enter your room

You pick up this thing Sasuke had given you- his excuse? It wasn’t worth his time and so he had given it to you

You didn’t care much for his excuse and just kept it on your dresser

Upon closer inspection you noticed a paper sticking out and obviously took it out

It was a letter- one could argue it was sasuke confessing

He went on about how he liked was ok being around you and the paper note wasn’t all that long

Just a few lines (if any)

There was a rip towards the bottom and you were left wondering what it would’ve said

Spoiler - it was Sasukes actual confession that he cowardly ripped off and threw into a body of water, hoping you’d never find it

It's just that they understand each other very well. It's not that Naruto doesn't have friends, he has a lot. But none of them understand him as well as [Name]. The boy was always with him, even when he discovered that Naruto had the nine tails beast inside him. But beyond that, they shared the same single neuron that they both had. They had the same sense of humor and made the same jokes, they even looked like the same person.

It was part of everyday life to see [Name] and Naruto Uzumaki around Konoha, whether on the rooftops playing and eating, or on the streets, playing pranks on people and sometimes, making a mess of everything around. No one was surprised by this anymore, but that doesn't mean people don't run away when they see this duo.

So Naruto and [Name]'s happiness was noticeable when they found out that they were on the same team. Well, a team should only have 3 kids, but honestly, it's better to have two chaotic kids in the same place than one on each team.

But, it wasn't always like this. Naruto was always a brat, but [Name] was different. He was so quiet and shy. He didn't get bullied like Naruto, but he feared it with all his heart. He didn't make any noise and for a long time people thought he was mute. He was afraid of being judged, of being excluded and so he ended up excluding himself first.

Maybe that's why he got along so well with Naruto. The two were complete opposites at first, and Naruto was like a sun to [Name's] moon. He made the shy boy's personality shine. [Name] knows that this is the main reason why he loves Naruto, his personality is everything to him and his way is honestly amazing.

[Name]'s parents, Kakashi, Sakura, Iruka, and many other people don't know if Naruto and [Name]'s friendship is that good. Well, they have to put up with the two's pranks all the time. And Iruka, Kakashi, and [Name]'s parents can't stand the boys talking about themselves all the time anymore.

"Iruka sensei, today [Name] and I climbed onto the fourth Hokage's head and-" "Naruto, you haven't even touched your ramen... It's already cold."- Iruka, who doesn't even care about the things Naruto and [Name] do anymore, he just wants Naruto to eat soon because he can't stand hearing the boy's stomach growl while he ignores his hunger to talk about his best friend.

So just imagine everyone's surprise when...

"[Name] San...? Why aren't you talking to Naruto?" Sakura looked genuinely worried. Naruto was standing aloof and clearly refusing to talk to [Name], while the boy looked completely sullen. Even Sasuke noticed this and for the first time in a long time he spoke to Naruto without telling him to stop yelling. Well, he didn't because Naruto simply wasn't yelling, he was just serious and didn't say much. "Hmph, I won't talk about him, not even to him. I don't want to hear anything about him."

Kakashi was close to the two kids, reading a weird book while taking care of them on his day off. Despite being unconcerned, even he looked at Sakura with wide eyes, which were returned by the girl. Looking at Sasuke, he also seemed surprised as he talked to Naruto. Sakura couldn't tell what was going on here, but it was definitely about Naruto and [Name]'s friendship.

The three reunited later. They loved the silence and calm that the fight between Naruto and [Name] had given, but it was much better to see the two boys being friends. Sakura was the first to speak in the circle. "Kakashi sensei, Sasuke kun... I know we were finally at peace now that Naruto and [Name] stopped talking, but they need to be together again." Kakashi agreed, and soon began to think about what could happen between the two boys so that they would no longer talk. The trio was silent for a few seconds, but Sasuke was willing to speak his mind. "I don't think it's anything serious." The pink-haired girl and the team's sensei immediately raised an eyebrow. "... It's like you don't know the two of them. They agree on everything, but when they disagree on something, they always end up arguing."

Kakashi seemed to think again, and came to a slightly different conclusion. "I believe the discussion was more serious this time. They've never gone so long without talking to each other." The trio comes to a conclusion: They fought over something they disagreed on, and now they don't want to talk anymore.

.

Meanwhile, the two brats returned home, and unfortunately for both of them... They lived in neighboring houses. The whole time, they didn't look at each other and had their arms crossed, trying to avoid simply looking at each other. "You know it's wrong. You live it, so you know better than I do that it's not fair." He needed to speak, he had to win this argument and convince Naruto. "You don't know anything about my life, I like my house and the way it is!"

[Name] wouldn't take that for an answer. Yes, the reason for the argument was more than a bad board game that [Name] liked and wanted to play all the time. The boy saw Naruto's situation, and knew that he deserved something much better than what he was living. But Naruto didn't see it negatively. He always had the bare minimum (and sometimes not even that), so for him, the bare minimum was enough.

They enter their respective houses, still fighting. Naruto throws himself on his bed and stays silent, while [Name] runs to his room and locks himself there, without greeting anyone in his house. The situation was serious.

It was a new day. Kakashi, Sasuke, and Sakura spent the entire night coming up with a plan to bring [Name] and Naruto together again. When Sakura had to leave because of her parents, Kakashi and Sasuke began to put the plan into action. It was simple, because the two boys didn't have enough brains to realize it was a trap. It was simple: lock the two boys in the same room. They wouldn't make enough effort to get out of there just so they wouldn't talk, Kakashi was sure.

The new day arrives, Sasuke went to call Naruto for Kakashi's 'new' training, while Sakura went to take [Name] to show her new move that she learned from Kakashi. The two fell, and when they arrived at the place (which was something like a small house with a lot of junk behind Kakashi's house), were locked together. Naruto and [Name] only heard the door lock close as they turned to face each other. They ran to open the door, but only heard a "I'll only open it when you're friends again."

.

For a long time, they remained silent. Deep down, they knew that they wanted to resolve things, because they had enough strength and power to break down that door or the fragile roof of that little house. But they didn't do that. Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke couldn't hear anything coming from the room, and Sakura even considered calling a Hyuuga to use the byakugan and see what was going on in there. Time passed slowly for them.

Meanwhile, Naruto and [Name] finally talked. "...Naruto?" "What is it?!" The boy sighed, and seemed to want to give up on the conversation for a few seconds, but soon continued. "Sorry."

Naruto looked at him for the first time, he seemed surprised. It was the first time [Name] had apologized for something. Normally neither of them did, and they just went back to being friends normally. "You're right, I shouldn't interfere in your life. It's just that I can't find it normal that you have to eat only noodles and milk that are almost always expired. That's not fair, you shouldn't live like this." And for a few seconds, Naruto even looked like he wanted to cry. He missed his best friend. He wastes no time in throwing himself at [Name], nearly making him fall. "... I'm sorry too, okay? You only want the best for me and I treated you with so much contempt..." There, it didn't even sound like Naruto speaking. That came from his soul.

They stay in each other's arms for a while. They were tired of so much arguing and being apart, this distance wasn't good for them. It's not like Naruto will understand what [Name] is thinking right away, and it will take him a while to get used to the idea that he needs to cry out for a better life. He just needs his friend for that. His best friend.

The next day, the two were already doing crazy things around the village, running around Konoha and messing everything up. Kakashi didn't even listen to people's complaints, because in a way, everyone was happy that the two were back together. He remembers when he opened that door because his curiosity piqued him, and saw the two hugging. Of course, they let go of the hug immediately and Naruto almost fell to the floor in embarrassment. At least it's a happy memory for the two of them, without any fighting. Sakura looked irritated with the two, as usual. But Kakashi knew the girl, and knew that she was very happy with the two of them too. Sasuke seemed neutral, but if you have good eyes, you will see a smile.

It was refreshing to see these kids happy again, and together. Naruto and [Name] are complementary pieces, they can't live without each other.

Yamato shouldn't exist

One of my biggest Naruto hot takes is that Yamato shouldn't exist.

I really like him as a character, but from a story point of view, you don't need his existence.

Naruto has a general problem of having too big of a cast. As a result, there is no character development other than Naruto, Sasuke and maybe Kakashi.

In the arc we needed a character to explain ROOT to us and a link to Orochimaru. Since Sai is already a ROOT agent, we don't need Yamato to fill that spot. And as for Orochimaru… We already had a great character who was already super popular and should know a lot more about Orochimaru than Yamato: Anko.

She was Orochimaru's student. It could have given Naruto and Sakura incredible insight into what Sasuke's life might be like right now and what he might be going through.

And the other reason he exists is to keep Kurama in check, well… never really worked, did it?

And later in the war, he's only needed for the clones, but even for that, another solution could so easily have been found.

So yeah, his character is pointless and without him you could have given a lot of already existing characters more character development

A história passa no ponto de vista da Sakura.

Eu sabia que algo havia mudado.

Sasuke não era alguém fácil de decifrar, mas depois de tantos anos ao seu lado, eu conseguia perceber os menores sinais. Ele estava diferente, distante de um jeito peculiar. Não era o mesmo tipo de afastamento que ele tinha quando estava irritado ou introspectivo. Era algo mais… humano.

E isso só podia ter uma explicação: [Nome].

No começo, não fazia sentido. Por que [Nome]? Não havia nada de extraordinário ali — pelo menos, era o que eu dizia a mim mesma. [Nome] era gentil, mas discreto. Alguém que parecia preferir ser uma sombra ao invés do centro das atenções. Eu achava que Sasuke nunca repararia em alguém assim.

Eu estava errada.

Tudo ficou mais óbvio com o passar do tempo. Sasuke, que sempre ignorava as pessoas, parecia, de alguma forma, encontrar desculpas para estar perto de [Nome]. Observava de longe, às vezes trocando poucas palavras, mas sempre atento.

Eu queria acreditar que era coisa da minha cabeça. Que estava imaginando coisas. Mas o momento que confirmou minhas suspeitas foi durante um treino.

Eu o vi. Ele não estava treinando. Ele estava observando [Nome]. E quando [Nome] sorriu para algo bobo que Naruto disse, havia algo nos olhos de Sasuke que eu nunca tinha visto antes.

Era admiração.

Eu senti meu coração afundar.

A pior parte não era o que eu estava vendo. Era o que eu sentia. Por que eu não era capaz de despertar aquilo em Sasuke? Por que nunca fui o suficiente para fazê-lo me olhar daquela forma?

— Então, é o [Nome]? — perguntei uma vez, tentando soar casual.

Ele não respondeu. Claro que não. Sasuke nunca respondia coisas assim.

Mas ele não precisava. O silêncio dele disse tudo.

Eu comecei a prestar mais atenção, e tudo ficou claro. O jeito como ele se irritava quando outra pessoa chegava perto de [Nome]. O modo como sua expressão suavizava, mesmo que minimamente, quando estava ao lado dele. E a forma como ele parecia evitar cruzar o olhar comigo, como se soubesse que eu estava vendo tudo.

E então aconteceu.

Um dia, no meio do vilarejo, vi [Nome] recebendo um suéter. Não era nada especial, só um presente simples de um amigo, mas o sorriso de [Nome] ao vestir o presente… foi como se o mundo ao redor parasse.

Sasuke estava lá. Eu vi o jeito que ele olhou para [Nome], e foi nesse instante que percebi. [Nome] era a Heather dele.

E eu nunca seria.

He’s probs had a crush on you for years and when you get together- you’re like the only person who would even consider him as a potential partner (in his mind)

Especially with how people treated him

Gradually he does get comfortable again, I mean at one point you guys were friends and he was really open about everything

Well eventually it gets to that point again

Just that this time whenever he’s being bold, he turns to you all bashful and turns back away and continues rambling

He’s really stupid but in an endearing way

Naruto is obviously pretty strong, head on and stubborn- we all know that

So imagine some idiot bumping into you and spilling all your stuff

Well Naruto ain’t letting it slide and confronts the person

Whatever stage of life you guys are at, this will go sorta different

She’s literally the best person to date ever

She’s also really shy when you start dating

Not like she’s afraid to be affectionate because she really does want to be, but sometimes she gets a bit bashful at the idea

When she decides to be bold and hold your hand or even goes for a hug -

If you even slightly tease her she’ll definitely give you a serving of her iconic punch- straight to the face too 😭

Scratch that, she’ll throw an uppercut

Despite this comedic scene, once you hug her back she’ll feel touched and it just becomes a sweet moment for the two of you

Most moments with her tend to follow the same pattern as above

Gift wise she’ll definitely be the type of person to make you sweet home made stuff or even goes as far as buying treats or stuff she knows you’ll enjoy

Shed be flustered when she gives it to you and maybe a bit tsundere if Naruto or Ino is there to tease her for it

She’d likely give it to you later in the evening when she knows you’re not too busy

Despite the fact that you’re lit together

And that’s when she gives it to you

The only way to react is being overjoyed at the gift and hugging her or giving her some affection, I don’t make the rules

She walks home after a busy day and walks by a stall/store window and sees something you might like? She figures it wouldn’t hurt to buy it

She’s deciding what to eat? She’ll go out of her way to get something you can both share/ something of bigger portion just to have an excuse to sit with you

Not even something she has to do since her presence alone is a gift

She’s so beautiful too

And when you tell her, either by just slipping up because you were too entranced by her- she’ll be super flustered and try to play it off as a joke or you being “weird”

She’ll definitely go to sleep thinking about it though

Twirling her hair and kicking her feet and all

Eventually dates are in order

I won’t lie, Sakura would definitely want you to take her out first

She’s not even opposed to taking you out for a meal and paying either

She just prefers for you to first

Whether it’s for reassurance or preference- well it’s really unclear

Anyways, you end up taking her to a nice restaurant with plenty of choices

She doesn’t mind if it’s a small or quiet one either

Just as long as it’s with you

I do think Sakura would be the jealous type, try to hide it, but then fail miserably

Let me explain

Let’s say a person comes up to you- or even someone you’re assigned to protect is being awfully flirty

Well she’ll be as calm as she can be but it’s so obvious with her harsh actions that she’s fuming

Inner Sakura definitely shows that too

She doesn’t blame it on you or anything so that’s good but she’d still be pissed

It’s super funny too because Naruto would be terrified of interacting with her because then she’ll just take it out on him

And Sai? Yea he doesn’t gaf, he’ll still approach her

Even if it ends in him be wrangled and Naruto joining in

Naruto just because he was nearby*

This behavior doesn’t stop until the person leaves

Afterwards Sakura just doesn’t like the person at all 😭

Sasuke Uchiha

Or not???

Really depends with him because he sort of has mood swings

On one hand he’s really focused on his goal of restoring his clan and yknow the whole Itachi bit

(Not really a mood swing)

But he can’t deny that you’ve captured his heart

Plus, with him and his behavior- you’re likely super stubborn or hella in love

Probably both

I mean you’re already dating at this point but nothing really changes much

He’s pretty straightforward but with information that’s private- he keeps it that way

It’s pretty sad (?) in a way

At first it could definitely come off as him not liking you point blank

But when you really think about it you know that can’t be the case

You’re like the only person he’s ever even slightly been nice to

Honestly I’d believe it if you’re the only one amongst the Konoha residents that has seen sasuke laugh or smile

Up to a certain point)

He may be cold and distant but he doesn’t mean to be

He realizes that too the more you go into your relationship

So he tries not to be so emotionally constipated and tries to show you in subtle ways that, yes, he actually does care

Quite a lot honestly

Not really subtle though because it’s a stark difference between how he normally acts

By the time sasuke has the courage to hold your hand- it’s by the time where couples would normally have been doing much more

Honestly really depends when you date him too

Because if your relationship starts at teams 7 era

No it didn’t, he’s too clouded by getting revenge to actually act on it

Maybe, just maybe during shippuden

Even then he’s extremely difficult and hard to be around sometimes

And if you’re together, his behavior could definitely be a dealbreaker and cause some fights in your relationship

Patience is definitely required if you wanna go down the sasuke route 😮‍💨

I know I said previously that sasuke is really distant for a good while even with you

but eventually, gradually, he does open up more

Like about his past, his motivations, private and more vulnerable stuff like that

Now without the angsty-ish hcs, interacting with sasuke affectionately also has varied reactions

More often than not he’ll be, what can best be described as, tsundere

You could try and hug him while he’s overthinking but he’ll just shrink away

- a reaction that shows you he doesn’t feel like being touched

Obviously it’s a boundary that’s respected by you but it could also cause you to feel upset too

Then, after he shrinks away you look up to him

more specifically his face

Immediately you can see blush dusted on his cheeks

He gets easily flustered by interactions like this, I mean I can’t even imagine how touch starved he is

Now comes the rare occasion where he’s fine with it

Even leans into your touch

It’s pretty rare but sometimes he’s just exhausted and craves your touch

What can I say

Jealousy wise he’s terrible

He’s extremely jealous but tries to act like he isn’t bothered by what’s happening at all

Might even distance himself even more from you if he feels jealous

Could even spiral to him overthinking and feeling like his attachment to you is a weakness

Which quickly disappears because then he goes over to you and yanks you away from the person in question

Also did I forget to mention? DONT TEASE HIM

I can emphasize this enough

Hugging him for the first time in a while and he accepts? Don’t say anything

Same with this

I know people usually like to tease their partners with “awww you’re jealous?” But that’s just antagonizing him

Causes him to trust you less too so a definite ‘not’

Also extremely possessive over you

Like he’s usually hostile to others for no reason but if you’re being targeted then he’s definitely pissed off

Especially if someone thinks they can even try to make moves on you

Definitely takes a lot of patience but just dont pity him I guess (?) 😭

If you’re caring or try to be sympathetic with him he’ll mistake it for pity so yea

He gets more comfortable as the relationship becomes more serious

Rewatching Naruto and...well...

So I decided this year to sit down and rewatch Naruto from the beginning and recently have decided to blast through it (mostly to reconnect with my OC but also to explore things I missed in the intervening years). Today (Mon 10th June 2024), I blew through six discs (Episodes 107 to 135) -- around 8 to 10 hours of watching.

And boy, was it intense.

I knew this arc would be hard. I just never realised how hard it really would be. To see Naruto and Sasuke come to blows, Sakura in the middle and Kakashi being pulled in too many directions due to the loss of so many Leaf ninja during the Sand/Sound attack, was hard to see. But to know that last glimmer of hope for Sasuke vanished because of the Sound Four ended up giving Team 7 three-four years of pain and misery that could've been prevented if things were different.

In the end, despite all those attempts by Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji, Neji, Kiba and Akamaru, Lee and the Sand Siblings, despite Kakashi ignoring Tsunade after finding out to get there as fast as he could...the outcome was inevitable.

Sasuke left.

Team 7 was broken.

And three to four years of misery ahead for all of them.

You can only imagine how much I, despite being male, was emotional and virtually in tears throughout this arc. We all know what's coming next but can we really hold back in Choji and Neji's fights, Gaara and Lee in fighting Kimimaro, Naruto and Sasuke in the Valley of the End.

Even Sasuke's own struggles to let go and be with his new family instead of pursuing Itachi to its end. But to know that Sasuke couldn't go through with it in killing Naruto in the end, the light that shone on the boy and fading made me think that perhaps if things had been different down the line, Sasuke would've come back to the Leaf. Because he knows that Naruto gave it his all to bring him home and he refused to kill him. They weren't just teammates or even friends. No, they were brothers. Sasuke lost Itachi but he had Naruto. And that was a bond he kept. And it was one that would save him.

It saddens me how much rewatching has hurt. Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara, Neji and Hinata. Their circumstances were out of their control.

Naruto: because of being the jinchuuriki of Kurama and misunderstood because the Third Hokage clearly didn't care enough about him.

Sasuke: because of Itachi making him a pawn in his own game to make his brother into a tool to end his own life (regardless of the reasons why Itachi did it, I show no sympathy for him. Mind-screwing your own brother and damaging him into Orochimaru's clutches didn't help).

Gaara: because Rasa is a d*ck.

Neji and Hinata: two young children caught in circumstances they couldn't fully comprehend because Hiashi had to be a harda** (though I wonder how much his own father, the unnamed elder, didn't help).

I'm glad, despite how emotional I feel (the tears burn my eyes right now), that I decided to do this. Rewatching and blasting through this arc (28 episodes in one day), makes me optimistic for the future as I continue to go through the series (even the fillers because I might as well since I'm being my OC in this as well). The image of young Naruto and young Sasuke using the arms they will lose in the future making that gesture of comradeship will guide me on the way.

I have a busy couple of months ahead since I planned out the remainder of Part I (136-220, plus the two movies) to go through then onward to Shippuden and the 8 movies over the Sundays through Tuesdays until Monday 26th August 2024 since those are my nights off work.

"A Promise of An Eternal Captivity" - ShiSaku

WARNINGS!: Dark!Shisui Uchiha, Yandere behavior, physical abuse, mental abuse, gatekeeping, possessive behavior, mental disorder, Shisui has PTSD from war he never got a counseling for, attachment and obsessive behavior, mentions of molestation (At the end), dark "love".

This one took me a lot longer to write, because I wanted to capture Shisui's extroverted, playful persona, while bringing out his "Obsessive Uchiha" personality, somehow merging the two together. Eventually I ended up with this one-shot. The violence isn't overly depictive,

Summary: Mr.Faceless kidnaps Sakuro.

Yes, Spoilers, Shisui did lose his eye to Danzo, but managed to retrieve it, though it was damaged beyond repair, he had to resort to either a prosthetic or an eyepatch. He went with an eyepatch, thinking it would make him look cooler.

I also would like to point out what extremities a person in love (to the point of unhealthy obsession) is capable of going to, in order to get who they "love".

Sakuro sat in the basement, of the abandoned house,  curled up on the edge of the bed. He had no idea where he was or how long it had been since that psychotic asshole kidnaped him. He counted each sunrise and sunset. He stopped at a week, before his captor chose to put him in a room, rid of any source of windows or sunlight. Sakuro wouldn't deny, that he "misbehaved" in his captor's eyes he had yet to find out who it was. He couldn't feel the chakra signature, since the person was kind enough to seal his chakra. He looked at his wrists and ankles covered in thin scribbles of the familiar chakra restriction seals. 'Yep, those aren't coming off anytime soon...' He thought bitterly, before setting his head back onto his arms. How he hated those. The seals were like weightless shackles, barely there. Still, Sakuro felt them weighing him down as if the guilt and anger of the entire world were shackled to his joints, scrapping at his skin, when in reality, he was the one subconsciously scratching and clawing at the inked skin, futilely attempting to rid them from the markings. It only made his skin bleed, which the captor would later patch them back up and bandage them. Sometimes, Sakuro would lose his temper. Being a 6'2 man, even without chakra he was more than strong enough to fight his captor, especially since he was also a well-trained ninja, but he soon found out that the man had used some kind of seal that controlled his outrage. It was when Sakuro had the stranger within his grasp, locked and ready to choke him. He felt a violent pull at the back of his head and his body moved on its own, releasing the person's man's neck. The action was followed by a violent headache, which made him scream in pain, clutching his head so hard, that he almost ripped out his hair from his skull. 

From then on, he had a few more escape attempts. For the first two or three, the stranger seemed to have turned a blind eye, even when Sakuro attacked him with a wooden plank he found that was loose from time. He didn't know how the stranger managed to dodge that, considering he was precise and quick. A strong and accurate whack to the head. The rest though, the kidnapper must have deemed enough of Sakuro's antiques and put an end to it. The first time, the man dragged him to the same room he was now, by his hair with a surprising strength. That night and the next, he went without food or water. That was fine, but over time, every time he pulled something, his punishments would get worse and worse, until he was locked in the room for five days with no food and water, and each evening, the stranger would visit him and give him a good beating. He was sure by now that a rib or two was probably cracked or bruised from all that hitting and kicking, but he never lost hope. He knew Naruto, Kakashi, Sasuke, Ino and some of his close friends would surely notice something was off since he hadn't returned for such a long time, especially his parents. They'd freak since he visited them every week at least once. 

A week passed, 

and a day or two...

Then some days after he was locked away in a dark room after his latest stunt, which almost got the kidnapper. At least he bruised a rib or two and broke the man's dominant arm, so he counted it as a win. 

A few more days had passed, and the fires of hope were slowly dying out. He looked towards the door longingly. Did they still not realize he was missing? He shook his head. 'No. I won't let doubt cloud my judgment! It's what that asshole wants too. Let's see, Sakuro. think... Think, damn it!' He thought to himself. "If they don't know I'm missing, then the kidnapper made it so. Maybe negotiating for a ransom price?" He thought out loud for a moment. "No." He shook his head. "If he wanted money, he would've already asked for it, a long time ago... Maybe he tricked them into thinking I was away on a mission?" He questioned, whispering. He bit his nail, a nervous habit, despite them being most likely dirty. "Not likely. The Hokage gives missions, so he would know... If anything, the guards would sense something was off, even if he made a shadow clone with henge. So that guy is capable of something like this... Then he must be one of the leaf shinobi..." He concluded. Well, that was a new piece of information. He suspected it, but the bland, all-black outfit gave away nothing, especially the hood and the blank mask the man wore under the black cape. He also visited briefly during mornings and afternoons to leave behind food for Sakuro if he wasn't punished, and he sometimes spent the nights in the evenings. One thing he did find out about the mysterious stranger?

He never talked. 

Not once.

A few more days had passed and he felt like he was on the brink of insanity.

No lights, water, food, verbal human contact, or nothing!

But to his relief and dread, his captor visited that evening.

Sakuro heard the door of the house unlock. Since he had been denied access to light of any sort, his other senses were heightened. He was sure, that if the kidnapper kept this up he would undoubtedly end up temporarily- if not permanently blind, and that wouldn't do if he wanted to escape this hellhole. He knew his body was certainly covered in nasty bruises, dirt, grime, and sweat stuck to his body since he wasn't granted access to showers. If he wanted to survive, he would have to play along, Sakuro mused, just until he could find a way out or someone found his disappearance suspicious and came looking. He just hoped they would look in the right places and that they were close to the borders of the fire country.

He sighed, readying himself for another beating as he heard footsteps approach. He then heard a jingle of keys and the sound of the keys inserted into the keyhole, then the twist of the key and the door unlocking. The handle was pulled and the old metal door creaked open. The light from outside made Sakuro shield his eyes immediately with a hiss.

He heard footsteps closing in before he felt the stranger's hand forcefully yanking him out of his corner. Sakuro wanted to resist, but he remembered: if he wanted to get out of this place, he would have to play the man's twisted game, whatever it would be, and getting out of this basement was the first step.

Obediently, he silently got up, before falling on his bruised knees as the man tried to drag him along. Mr.Faceless glanced down at him; He could feel the disapproval emitting from the man. He stared up at the man, his eyes now welled with tears, his face scrunched in fear and sadness. "Please... I'll do whatever you want." He manipulated his voice to sound pleading and broken, his body already shaking from the cold, so he hoped he put up a convincing act for his captor to believe. "Mr.Faceless", as he nicknamed him glanced down at him, before tilting his head. He sobbed, clinging onto the fabric of the man's pants, setting his head on the man's clothed stomach. "I-can't- I can't take this anymore... I'll do whatever you want, just please, stop hurting me..." He whimpered. "I'll be good, I promise! I know that nobody is coming for me at this point... It's been weeks... You obviously didn't kidnap me for ransom from the village, nor did you, in order to kill me, at least not yet. Please... I'll do whatever it takes... " He begged, trying to sound as desperate as possible. " Just please... Get me out of this damned room, or I'm gonna go insane!" His breath hicked. It wasn't fully a lie, a partial truth. He really was going to lose his mind, if he was left alone with his thoughts, give or take a few more days in here at most. Mr.Faceless stayed quiet for a moment or two, then three...

Almost a minute passed, Sakuro counted in his head. He guessed Mr.Faceless was considering it before the stranger took him by the wrist and yanked it.

Ah... He must have not been convincing enough.

Nonetheless, he didn't want to take chances and ruin his only chance at gaining the man's trust. He had to keep up his act.

"W-wait, don't - please... Not again!" He cried, trying to curl in on himself, but the man yanked on his arm harder, making him stumble towards the door, nearly toppling both of them over. The man caught him in time.

Oh... He felt dizzy now... Lack of food, movement, and water, he guessed. He also couldn't sleep most of the time, so he presumed that also played the part. He felt bile rising up his throat, but there was nothing to heave out and he didn't want to risk angering his captor. He swallowed the bile back down, nothing but pure liver acid, which made him nearly gag. It burned like shit!

He slowly opened his eyes, his eyes sensitive still, before he felt the man drag him towards the stairs, ascending it as he dragged Sakuro with him towards the living area, Sakuro recognized, before forcefully setting him on the rather new, red sofa. He took out cuffs and put them on Sakuro's wrists, before walking into the kitchen. The stranger wanted him to stay put, Sakuro guessed, a test, so that's just what he did. He obediently sat, not even moving a single muscle, still trying to get used to the sudden brightness of the room. 'This is excruciating...' he mentally grumbled. Eventually, he heard shuffling in the kitchen and a hiss of something frying on the pan. The stranger must be cooking. 'Now is my chance to attack... ' he thought but reconsidered his choice. No. He was too weak and exhausted, even if he had the height and weight advantage. The man didn't even use any justu through his time here, apart from a genjutsu which he cast once, but Sakuro easily broke through it, still having chakra that time. It was a Chunin-level genjutsu, and with his natural ability to sense genjutsu, he could easily break out. Other than that, nothing gave away his captor's abilities. He mentally sighed 'Shikamaru was right, things like these are troublesome... ' he thought. He opened his dulled viridian eyes and looked around. For the first time, he was able to take in his surroundings. For an old house, it was well-furnished. It even had a flat TV, which was... Odd...

Did the captor live here? He asked himself. The place was basic but oddly cozy. A nice change from that cold basement he called his room at this point. He shivered slightly at the change of temperature from cold to warm before sneezing quietly. 'I hope I'm not catching a cold. This isn't the best time... ' he thought. He looked at his arms, dusted with dirt from being dragged on the floor, along with scratches that the man later painfully cleaned the wounds with spirit, so he wouldn't die from infection. For that, he was grateful since he knew he wouldn't be able to escape with infection going through his body. He closed his eyes again, listening around. Everything seemed quiet except for the occasional stirring of the pan and hissing of the oil. He let himself relax. This guy obviously needed him for something, so he knew He was safe as long as he behaved. He took another look around his surroundings, taking in all the possible exits, before closing his eyes, trying to save the remainder of his strength.

After some time, he heard the pan being replaced by another metal object on the stove. With some clinking and sounds of what he presumed were plates being set on the table, he heard the whistle of the kettle, which irritated his heightened senses. He then heard a turn of the knob of the stove and the sound whistle dying out, then the pouring of water. He was making tea.

Sakuro's mind went into a myriad of different outcomes. 'Maybe he's planning to poison me? Slipped something in the food?' the paranoic thoughts went flying out of the window as soon as he saw the man standing in the doorway and gestured him towards the bathroom. Sakuro got up on shaky feet and went into the bathroom. No sharp objects. There was a... Bathtub and a shower head hanging on the wall. A full-body mirror parallel to where he stood and one hanging over the sink on the wall, he quickly noted. He cringed slightly when he saw his reflection. The stranger stood in the doorway of the bathroom, watching him. He pointed at Sakuro's hands and then at the sink. The pinkette obeyed and washed his hands. The soap stung his knuckles, which he busted when punching the metal door of the basement, barely leaving dents.

Once he was done, he was handed a towel, which he dried his hands with and hung it up on the hanger, before looking down at the shorter male. Mr.Faceless stepped to the side and gestured for him to step out and walk in front of him, which Sakuro wordlessly obeyed. 'He treats me more like a fugitive, than anything.' He mentally grumbled. Mr.Faceless nudged him on the back towards the kitchen. Mr.Faceless pushed him down on the chair and sat next to him. 'Paranoid much?' Sakuro thought grumpily, but it wasn't like he didn't give the masked man a reason not to be. He looked at the food skeptically, before glancing over at Mr.Faceless. The man gestured at the set plate as in "eat up." before re-crossing his arms over his chest, his sitting position relaxed, even mocking. Sakuro heard a tiny snort slip from his involuntary partner when his stomach growled and made embarrassing sounds. Sakuro blushed before he mentally sighed. Well, if this was his last meal, he might as well make the most of it, because even if it killed him, he was too damn hungry to even care. He took the chopsticks with shaky hands, no doubt from stress and lack of sleep before he broke them apart gently and dug into the food offered to him. it was Kushikatsu and some vegetables. Immediately, the flavors exploded on his tongue, making him groan in satisfaction. He ate greedily before the man offered him seconds, which he ate gratefully. He could feel Mr.Faceless's eyes boring into him as he ate, but as uncomfortable as it felt, he was hungry and couldn't care less. Once he was done he sighed contently. "Thank you for the food." He mumbled, before picking up the green tea that the man poured for him. He turned to look at Mr.Faceless and tilted his head. "Aren't... Aren't you hungry...?" Sakuro asked, to which he got a negative shake of the man's head. Sakuro sighed "Ah..." He nodded before sipping on the tea slowly. He didn't want to overload his stomach and throw what he ate back up. 

Not soon after, he finished the tea. He looked at the dirty dishes. "I can clean it up if you let me..." He offered hesitantly. The man shook his head, no before Sakuro heard a chuckle. His eyes widened, before whipped his head around towards the stranger. No way the man let out such a menacing chuckle. 

He blinked as the man proceeded chuckling. 'Something is off...' He tried to figure out what it was that the man found hilarious before his vision started getting blurry by the second. Sakuro's eyes went wide as saucer plates. His head whipped around towards the finished plate and the empty cup.

'He drugged me...' He thought as his vision became gradually blurry until he saw little black spots dancing in his vision. 'That fucker...' He mentally growled and glared at the man. 'He must have upped the dosage to make it work faster...' Now that he could concentrate, he could taste the bitterness of the after-pill intake on his tongue. He kept glaring nonetheless. "why..." Sakuro managed, his tongue nearly numb in his mouth. 

The man kept chuckling before Sakuro saw him removing the mask. His eyes widened, trying to focus his vision to no avail. The next to go was the black fabric that covered the man's hair.

Pale skin, bright grey-black hair. What caught his attention though, was the eyepatch, or some sort of gauze over one eye. Big, inky black eyes. He squinted, trying to get a better look at his captor. Maybe once he got back, he could help identify the kidnapper.

"Now, Saku-chan, isn't that so much better?~" A familiar voice rang in his ears. Cheerful... Where had he heard this voice? And that suffix... It was so, so familiar, yet... He couldn't quite put his finger on it. His body slowly gave way, relaxing against his will on the chair. He gritted his teeth. "Wh-who are you?" He asked weakly. "What... Do you want from me?!" He managed to raise his voice a little. 

The man chuckled and he felt arms being wrapped around his frame. "Now, now. No need to be so hostile~ What do I want? Why I already have it!" The man giggled like a madman. "In my arms, right where he belongs~" He felt -the now - Mr.Faceful's head resting on his shoulder, which repulsed him. "Get off of me...! Don't touch me...! Why did... You drug me?" He managed, black dots visibly growing in his vision.

"Because, as much as I hate to do it, I know you're up to something and we can't have that, now can we...?" The ravenette's voice became colder. He felt a hand over his throat, squeezing slightly, which made Sakuro squirm slightly in panic in a lax manner. "Not after getting what I have wanted for so long... Who I yearned for so long..." He mumbled before he felt a set of disgustingly soft lips on his neck. "Sleep, now. Don't worry... No more games. I'll take care of you from now on..." He mumbled into Sakuro's ear, which made Sakuro panic as he gradually descended into the familiar darkness that was supposed to bring him peace, yet somehow, he feared for his life, for that sleep that would take him, drag him into the abyss while the man did whatever he wanted with his body in his unconscious state. Sakuro calmed himself by the sheer fact of logic that the man had not touched him inappropriately, not once. So he just hoped that by "taking care", he meant he would simply watch over him.

He knew by experience that this man never went back on his word, and he was sure this was a promise. 

A promise that scared him, A promise of eternal captivity...

'Naruto, Sai... Kakashi-Sensei, Sayuri-chan... Yamato-taichou, Shishou, Itachi-taichou, okaa-san, tou-san...'  Sakuro thought, his dulled eyes fighting to stay open as he remembered his comrades as he slowly drifted off into a much-needed dreamless slumber. 'I'm sorry... I think I might not make it back, after all...' He thought.

Before his eyes fully closed, he briefly saw a whirl, indicating that his head was tilted towards his captor, the blur of the man's face got closer.

"Don't worry, Saku-chan. When you wake up, I'll make sure we can talk face-to-face. I won't let you go, though~ You're mine..." The man growled. For a moment, Sakuro could swear he saw those black abyss of an eye flash red. 'Huh... Funny...' Was his last coherent thought. "And what is mine, stays mine... Even if it means gatekeeping you from everyone else... Even if it means hurting ones close to me..." Sakuro heard him mumble in his ear before he officially passed out.

Yes, this would prove to be... Troublesome, after all...
