How satisfying it is to be able to ignore a diminished “Hollywood” bit player sat in the same room and then walk past as if he didn’t exist? I’m such a bitch but you don’t make use of people and dump them when they are of no use to you. Ordered only 2 dishes at KK Malaysian and they didn’t disappoint. Tops, the KK spicy crispy chicken: stir fried to crispy perfection in a very hot wok, spiced and flavoured with garlic, onions, fresh chilli, spring onion and crispy curry leaves. Fried goodness! The chicken curry was good too, but overshadowed by the wok-fried chicken. The curry is a typical Malaysian one, the curry spices tempered with lemak coconut cream + chicken pieces (with bone) and agria potato. . KING PRAWNS LAKSA The end to my #comedy of errors I returned from my #bali trip because I had a appointment at the #hospital for an #MRI scan. I had large #burns on my legs from messing around with #motorbikes in Bali. On Easter weekend, I had some #BBQ #chicken and cracked a tooth. So I went to the #dentist today who said it was complex and required surgery. I had to get a note from my GP. Hmmm. I'm on the train and I get a call from the hospital - apparently there was a 'major incident' with MRI machine and they would need to postpone. Bugger it. 4 months wait for appointment, return from Bali, cancel date in #bangkok and now wait again. So I go to my favourite #malaysiancurry place in the city. Guess what? They're out of everything. Except Laksa . How dare they? So I have a #kingprawn Laksa . When I'm going home, I notice people staring directly at me and #smiling Then I realise I have this #sillygrin plastered across my face! And people are smiling back. Why? 1. None of this is life threatening. 2. I'm grateful I wasn't in the MRI machine when the 'major incident' occurred 2. I'm under the Australian Health System not the American one or any other... 4. I haven't had Laksa for months maybe a year. 5. I'm grateful my tooth broke here back home instead of Bali. And, 6. First world problems. Life is still good. Just pissed off I don't get room service and housekeeping when I'm back home. Volunteers?? 😉😁😉 (at Sydney, Australia)

My Kitchen • Melbourne, Australia Homemade Malaysian Chicken Curry served with rice and made by yours truly A super simple recipe consisting of chicken, carrots, potatoes and onions that is really easy to make. All you have to do is simply fry the onions for a bit before adding water, curry powder and the rest of the ingredients. (I personally prefer to boil the potatoes and carrots first but this is optional). The egg is optional but can be soaked inside the curry too I made the mistake of adding too much water initially but I added some cornstarch (mix it separately with a bit of water first) to the pot of curry while simmering on the stove. #MalaysianCurry #DomesticatedLife #Homemade #WifeMaterial #yancancook #yanlovestoeat
