Jungle nymphs? :)
Lol, yes. Malayan Jungle nymphs (Heteropteryx dilatata) are very large stick insects. Adult females of the species, which are bright green, are the heaviest stick insect in the world. I have a whole tank of them. :)
Not my pic, but here is a male on top of a female.

Featured on this wall are:
Two pinned luna moths (a male and a female) a diaphonized rat, a deer skull, two fox skulls, a pinned female Malayan jungle nymph, a multitude of butterfly wings in jars, monitor lizard bones, two human teeth, and there on the media center waiting to be hung up are a pinned Australian butterfly, a raccoon skull, and a piece of Victorian hair mourning art! And an (ethically sourced) rabbit pelt on the stool~
Finally got a portion of our taxidermy collection hung up !

A list of good things:
I did yoga today! Hooray!
I ate three proper meals today and they were all healthy!
My room is all clean and tidy and that helps me feel relaxed
My to-do list is definitely getting shorter
I have fresh flowers in my room
I just spent an hour reading on my kindle, proof that kindles are not horrible to read on, as I suspected, I was just reading boring things before
I am getting less addicted to caffeine
I just bought some vinyl stickers, badges and an enamel pin from the sad ghost club
I also bought that new book about Norse mythology by Neil Gaiman
I’m meeting cool new trans friends for coffee tomorrow (they don’t want to go to the board games cafe this time but we’re going to go next month!!!! and this is good news because I love the board games cafe)
And on Saturday I get a free lift to a weird Buddhist/Anarchist meditation day (why am I doing this again? Why do I do these things?)
Malayan jungle nymphs and red sea dragons exist
But now I’m torn between ‘Life is difficult and I should be kind to myself’ and ‘I’ve been too kind to myself, I am weak and lazy and useless’
