Mandatory mention of the classic "Daughterson" by Joe Stevens

"Am I Here" by Jay Page was one of the core songs of a really weird summer experience (ironically in which I dissociated a lot lol) I had so I remember it fondly. He also made Invincible which is written in honor of his younger self.

"Aventura" by Mavi Phoenix FUCKS. His music videos are also really well made. I also like "World's End" from his most recent album.

saint hills has made quite a bit of rap! "Home", "Lavender", "Michelangelo," and "Quit My Job" are some hits for me

"Chartreuse" by Boy Jr. is funky as hell, and you may have seen some of their joke songs on TikTok or Instagram

John-Allison Weiss!! he made I Was an Island which I was obsessed with when I was younger & then I found out he's a trans guy!! His song "Different Now" is fucking amazing. Strong transgender energy without any lyrics explicitly referencing it.

TOBRE is really good for anyone interested sexually explicit trannyfag hyperpop.

"Hindsight Cinema" by Zann Foth is very chill & he has a unique voice that makes it just very nice to listen to. Kind of elevator music energy? Also "I Hate Reaching Out" and "Surprise"

Everything Beverly Glenn-Copeland makes is wonderful. Its great seeing an older trans man, one who transitioned after building a name for himself, and also hearing his voice in his newest album in comparison to his earlier ones. His songs just make you feel like your soul is being wrapped in a blanket. "The Colour of Anyhow", "La Vita", "People of the Loon"

Dreamer Isioma has their fucking aesthetic (dreamy afrofuturism) DOWN. His music videos (esp. for the Princess Forever album) are all super well done and feel very unique to them.

Malaika Mfalme's album "Yasmin" is dedicated to their late partner and you can feel that love and grief throughout the songs. I recommend checking out this article where they go through the meanings behind each song. "Good Man" is specifically about learning to love masculinity as a positive force.

Less Like You (22,909 words) Twoshot, E - My scar sex fic—both of their scars, not just Dazai's. I don't really know how to encapsulate it in a blurb but it's actually not about the sex at all it's all a front for the feelings. So many feelings. (Too many feelings). Transzai because I love Twitter user ardenistired.

Supersonic Boom (67,502) Multichap, T, Complete - High school AU except Chuuya is the dedicated "good girl" student and Dazai is a delinquent "bad boy" truant instead of the other way around because you can pry that iteration of them from my dead, cold hands. Featuring Dazai's dastardly schemes, ultimate badgood romcom wingman Albatross, homeless Chuuya, and illiterate-but-also-smarter-than-the-teachers Dazai.

Places of Worship (8,250 words) Oneshot, E - Praise kink but it's also lowkey trust kink because Dazai enacts a dastardly plan to get Chuuya to break up with him because he realizes he's falling in love with him. Once again the sexytimes are incidental (but also very steamy).

nothing, the wind, the sky (64,790 words) Multichap, M, Ongoing - Started writing this at a lowkey dark time in my life. It's really heavy and honestly I'm not sure I recommend it? It deals with themes of suicidality, CSA, empathy fatigue, suicide survivor (the loved one, not the suicidal person) trauma, financial trauma, human experimentation/medical trauma, trauma bonds, codependent relationships, forced mental health care, and that's just what I can remember. It was originally supposed to be four(?) chapters but it has a plot now that's actually related to the events in BSD.

Yes! They make me so happy and I want to express my gratitude.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I actually don't usually write angsty endings. There's only one up that's not hidden right now, Deliver Us From Ev—. It's exactly what it says on the tin. A traumatized Dazai with no concept of healthy boundaries and consent manipulates Oda into having sex with him on his 18th birthday. It's non-explicit, non-sexy, lowkey kinda brutal, and I've been told by commenters that it left them genuinely upset and a little disturbed.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Supersonic Boom. It was SO soft and cheesy I didn't know if I was cringing or melting as I wrote it.

Do you write crossovers?

Anyone who thinks they can write a crossover after Magic and Mystery dropped is just kidding themselves. /lhj

What are your writing strengths?

I wasn't quite sure how to answer this one. I just write by applying what I learned through the osmosis of a childhood of reading books for 4+ hours every day in ways that make the brain termites happy lol there is no craft involved. I went back through some comments on my fics to see if there were any trends and the most common kind things people have said were "I like how you write the SKK relationship dynamic" and "I like your writing style".

What are your writing weaknesses?

Including enough description. I am a very, very dialogue and character-heavy writer because that's the part of writing I enjoy and honestly a lot of the time I forget I even have to set the scene.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I'm not opposed to it but I never feel confident in doing that unless it's a language I know myself. When reading other people's fics, I enjoy it when the writer is doing it on purpose to emphasize the lack of information or confusion their character is garnering from the words, but to be honest I get frustrated sometimes when there's a really emotional conversation going on between two characters and suddenly I can't understand what one of them is saying.

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

talk about lillian PLEAAAASE. anything you need to get out i love her

i don't think i really have anything big that i haven't already shared here or on her toyhouse page, but idk how long you've been around or what you know so i'll gather general thoughts!!! i ended up talking about basically her entire backstory lmao!

due to the way her species reproduces lil has 3 biological parents. her mom malaika, her dad andro, and her other dad dodahan. malaika and andro were close longtime friends and lived together with lil acting as her parents but had no romantic relationship; malaika and dodahan were dating. lil is very close with andro and idolized her mom like crazy. dodahan was always good to her but they were never really close

lil spent most of her childhood with andro due to the nature of malaika's work keeping her away from home often, but school problems in her preteens led to her joining malaika on the "road" (space) and being homeschooled by her for a couple years. and then malaika got killed and lil got completely fucked up over it

she fell behind in school during the funk and probably never formally graduated from whatever equivalent to high school they have. she probably started her current career path as like a ship cleaner/detailer, built further skills in that environment and made good connections to get into legit machine work

the job she's passionate about is being an amateur mechanic for personal starships but currently doesn't make as much from it as she should (still new in the game and trying to build a reputation) so she works a day job as an installation technician for bodarobo, a job andro (wfh bodarobo tech support guy) helped her get

a massive high security prison satellite orbits her planet. dodahan was the old warden, but died a short time after malaika was killed. his son (and lil's half brother) gorb runs the place now. gorb and lil don't get along (understatement)

lil's more beloved, honorary "brother" is pidot, the AI of malaika's starship that lil inherited after her death. pidot's manufacturer assigned name is "pilot" and manufacturer assigned gender is female. "pidot" comes from baby lil making a weird pronunciation mistake, and being a boy comes from lil arbitrarily calling him so as a child and giving him an epiphany

lil's best friend aside from pidot is eddie, who she met as a child when malaika rescued him and his sisters from space pirates. nowadays eddie owns a bar that she frequents

years down the line lil has a daughter (lanika) with atch, a friend she met at eddie's. they possibly have twins? and he's raising the other one? idk i've never put a lot of consideration into the idea, i just know the other kid's name would be maia. lil never enters any committed relationship in canon, so the third parent in this situation was probably just some one night stand

her most prized possessions are pidot's ship, a 15 inch tall statue of her favourite kaiju that she spent way too much money on, and probably like a custom glow in the dark dildo based off the same kaiju idk. and her teeth collection. she thinks teeth are sexy and cool and collects them. here's an old doodle of some of her collected teeth

A face lift for trans visibility this Mardi Gras

Bars, cafes and clubs across Sydney are showing their support for the trans community during the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festival and helping people achieve their dreams.

“No Milk In My T” is a fundraising initiative for people wanting gender affirming surgery and is inviting hospitality venues to get on board the project in the lead up to the harbour city’s iconic queer event.

Three bars in Sydney’s Inner West have already signed up to the “No Milk Fox Squad” with their staff to wear exclusively designed t-shirts throughout the party period.

“Being part of the Fox Squad is an easy and impactful way for businesses to jump in and have fun, whilst being a tangible support for the trans community – and really, showing patrons their values,” said Max Pick, founder of No Milk In My T.

“The visual support of wearing the t-shirt is so impactful during Mardi Gras when people are really paying attention.”

But the t-shirts represent more than a visual show of support for the trans community.

The money raised from the sale of the shirts will help people such as Nyx access the health care they desperately want, surgeries that cost upwards of $15,000 in Australia.

“Nyx can’t wait to have top surgery – and with enough No Milk Fox Squads, I’m confident they’ll meet their goal by the end of Mardi Gras,” Mx Pick said.

“The community has already gotten them to $25,000 – that’s a lot of love. With $2,000 left to go, it makes this a smart decision for the right joint.”

Local musician and event producer Malaika Mfalme was supported by No Milk to have top surgery in November 2022.

“I wouldn’t have had the funds to do it without No Milk,” they said.

“Top surgery has given me the freedom to be who I am and allowed me to focus on creating music in a body that makes me excited to wake up in the morning.”

Malaika was delighted by the support from trans people and allies from across the country who proudly wore their bespoke No Milk t-shirt.

“Something as simple as a t-shirt has become a symbol of love, support and visibility for trans people, and that message travels into the wider community,” they said.

Newtown’s Fortunate Son, awarded Bar of Australia and Bar of NSW 2022, was one of the first venues to join up.

“The team at Fortunate Son are proud to join the No Milk Fox Squad,” said owner Dylan.

“It’s great way for our team to show up and support as we continue to create a safe and welcoming place for our trans friends.

“We love a strong t-shirt design and knowing that our support will assist in raising funds for gender affirming surgery, it will be in high rotation for our team!”

Enmore’s cocktail and tapas bar Uncanny and wine bar Where’s Nick in Marrickville have also signed up.

Fox t-shirts will be available until March 3 through www.nomilkinmyt.com, and No Milk Fox Squads will be accepted until stock runs out.

Malaika is actually a follower of Oghma*! So I mentioned previously that she works for a library collecting stories; this is sort of a tie-in to a previous PC I developed, who's an aasimar child of Deneir whose parents built this library to honor the Gods of Knowledge/be a bastion for knowledge

(*technically she's a follower of the Gods of Knowledge, which are a group of gods led by Oghma (god of knowledge), including Deneir (lesser god of writing), and Milil (lesser god of song))

I don't think any of this is the blind devotion god-hating people assume all god-followers have. She loves music and performance and finds value in honoring the importance of shared knowledge. Since this temple and these gods helped inspire her passions, she's dedicated her career to giving back to those causes. She doesn't expect anything from the gods directly, because that would be wild; the gods are like... distant kings, except their kingdoms are concepts instead of physical lands. The fact that so many people she meets during the game do have direct links to the gods is pretty amazing and frankly intimidating to Malaika.
