Have you been able to catch up with your mangas? I seem to have found myself so far behind that I'm afraid to even go back and check my Mangago updates knowing it's going to be weeks! 😫

I sat my ass down and actually managed to catch up with a DECENT amount of scanlation mangas. Instead of catching up with chapter updates of mangas I’ve already read, I’ve been scouring for NEW series that have been scanlated. Summary: 1941, Japan. Kuramoto Soutaro, the heir to the wealthy Kuramoto family, has returned from living overseas to the country of his childhood, wishing desperately to reconcile with his adored yet estranged childhood friend, Asuma Haruomi, the heir to a family of onnagata in the pleasure district of Tokyo, who has grown into a dancer of beauty and reknown during the years of their separation. Driven by the desire to see Haruomi’s dancing once more, and to finally apologize to him, Soutaro conceals his identity and takes work as a servant at the exclusive restaurant Tachibana, where Haruomi occasionally dances.

Ahhh, I’m delighted to be able to release this chapter - cleaning the colour cover page was an intricate marathon, but worth it.   I fell in love with this piece instantly, I love the Showa era setting, and the art is exquisite.   Thanks to Neo for a super translation, and to Yagi for her excellent proof and QC, and well, I hope you enjoy the rest as it’s my baby.

Hi there, the mangadex status refers to the publication status in Japan, rather than the scanlation status. The volume of Makotoshiyaka is complete at 6 chapters, but we have a one chapter left to release to complete the story, (plus the small extra.)

Sorry for the delay, I'll get that finished and released as soon as I can. (A page in the final chapter really requires an essay of translation notes for context 😅😂 ). You're very welcome, it's a beautiful story and one we all love!

As for a release date for Makotoshiyaka, I still have quite a lot of work to do on it - a little bit left of the most complex cleaning and a lot of the typesetting, but I'm working on it on and off with my other projects, so I'll try and get it out soon. I'm quite busy for the rest of this month, unfortunately, as I'm heading back to California next week, but hopefully things will settle down again by March. :)
