           if it wasn’t for the PIERCING sound of the timer abruptly blasting his ear drums, he may have never woken up; another unforeseen nap in a sea of restless nights keeps him only sharp enough to complete his current batch. his coworker must be long gone by now, leaving him to man the operation by himself for the rest of the evening. an audible groan parts from him as his head falls aggressively into his palms in latency. it’s what was best for jesse. i did it for jesse. no amounts of internal rationale could JUSTIFY his actions — or lack thereof — in watching his partner’s life wither at the repercussions of making a facile decision. nights and days off have been depleted with the guilt that befalls, not only for jane, but for all those who suffered unknowingly at his hands during the plane crash.

          there was no way that was coincidental. 

          much like the basic economic concept of disambiguation, choosing death and destruction and CONTROL over salvation created a ripple effect that only fueled more death and destruction in the community. was the universe taunting him, incidentally placing him in that bar in that very moment next to jane’s father only hours before her demise? guilt consumes him and devours any innocence that once remained — but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t do it again to protect jesse if given the opportunity. 

          with shaking hands, his mind floats in and out of an unconscious state, sometimes reliving his FATAL interaction with the deceased. it’s as if she was haunting him, mocking his pain and suffering with her jet black hair and threats of exposure. walt pushes farther back in his seat as her vision visits with him again, swatting with his hand as if that could save him from the weight of his sins and remorse.

i was honestly tempted to reply to this in a laid-back, flippant kind of way, but.... i honestly cannot tell how how hard i work to be entertaining.... jesse is such an great, exciting character and honestly being able to even BEGIN to pull that off is like... #goals
