Found this music box cover for Your Flame and got sO upset thinking of Sonic singing an acoustic version of it while having a moment for himself during his time on Starfall Islands, only to eventually get surrounded by chittering curious audience of kocos

#the way this specific part of the song works so well for both kocos & sonic #sonic knowing all he can do for the tragic little things is helping them pass on peacefully & jointhe rest of their ppl #[ it's the end of the show ] [ hear them they're calling your name ] [ cuz in the end it's you & your friends ]#but also these exact lyrics as encouragement for sonic himself to keep going for his friends #head in my hands it's night at the islands and there is nothing but the sounds of ocean waves & sleepy nature &#hedgehog slowly corrupted to the point he's on the verge of entirely losing himself #for the ppl he loves #ITS JUST HIM & HIS FRIENDS #making sonic a vocalist/composer is purely self-indulgent you guys have no idea how happy it makes me #im soooo embracing this whimsy
