You hadn’t attended a Formula 1 race for longer than you could remember, and truthfully, you never thought you would again until Mick Schumacher started turning your world pink.

The boy had known you since you were a child, back when you would occasionally attend races hand in hand with your grandfather, Norbert. So, of course, when Mick asked if you wanted to be his girlfriend, you didn’t doubt to say yes.

Neither of you cared what others might say because, for now, no one knew about your relationship.

And there you were now, standing in the Aston Martin garage alongside your mother and your three younger siblings, watching the race with great enthusiasm as Sebastian drove the emerald-green car.

To the outside world, it might have seemed like you were simply there for one of the most important days in your father’s career since it was his 35th birthday. But in reality more than watching your father, you wanted to see your boyfriend.

Hanna noticed the tense expression on your face. Smiling warmly and without taking her eyes off Emily and Matilda, who were playing tag nearby, she stepped closer to you.

“Are you okay, Y/N? You seem like you’re in another galaxy.”

Your body tensed at the question, something that happened every time someone in your inner circle mentioned directly or indirectly your secret boyfriend. You tried to hide what was on your mind, but the combination of your mother’s presence and your nerves made you say more than you actually wanted.

“I’m nervous because I want dad to finish in the points,” you said with as much conviction as possible, though it wasn’t enough to convince Sebastian’s wife. “And well… I’m also worried about Mick.”

Hanna raised an eyebrow, curious, but not pressing. She had once been seventeen too. More than that, she had gotten pregnant with you at that age, and she knew that your concern for Mick went beyond simple friendship. Mothers developed a sixth sense when it came to their children, and she knew you too well to be fooled.

“Mick? Why would you be worried about Mick?” she asked, making sure not to pry too much or reveal how much she already knew.

“Well… he’s having a really good race today,” you replied, lowering your gaze to the floor. “I’d like him to get a high position,” you explained, “even though with the piece of crap car he has we can’t expect much.”

Hanna nodded understandingly, reading between the lines of your words.

“I get it, sweetheart. I was the same way with your dad when he started racing,” she said, deliberately choosing her words to make you overthink. “Mick has a lot of talent, but he’s not in a team that helps him shine, so I understand why you care so much.”

“If you ever need to talk about Mick you know you can trust me, right?”  Hanna added,

You appreciated your mother’s words, though you remained cautious just in case she was digging for something that might expose your relationship. How naive you were to think she didn’t already know you were dating one of Sebastian’s best friends’ sons.

When the checkered flag waved and the twenty cars crossed the finish line, your eyes remained glued to the leaderboard. Not only had Carlos, one of your best friends, taken his first victory, but both Mick and Sebastian had finished in the points, placing eighth and ninth respectively.

Your father earning two points on his birthday was amazing. Your boyfriend earning three? Even better, especially since it was his first time scoring points in Formula 1. Saying you were emotional was an understatement, and no matter how much you tried to hold it in, a few tears escaped down your cheeks. You wiped them away quickly to avoid drawing attention.

Hanna, still by your side as she fed the youngest member of the family, noticed you approaching with a hesitant expression, as if you wanted to ask something but were afraid to.

“Can I go to Mick’s garage to congratulate him?” you asked cautiously. “It’s his first time scoring, and I’d like to say something to him in person before we leave for Switzerland.”

“I know you’re excited for him,” your mother said while burping the baby, “but I think it’s better if you stay here. It’s your dad’s birthday, and honestly? I doubt Haas would even let you see Mick.”

You nodded, though sadness crept in. You looked at the monitors, seeing the top three drivers already celebrating on the podium. Even from your location, you could hear the Spanish national anthem playing over the speakers.

“Mum,” you tried again, “come on, let me go congratulate Mick. I’ll be back quickly, and I’ll be here by the time dad gets back!”

Your exaggerated gestures and the way you waved your arms were too adorable, and Hanna couldn’t help but see herself in you. She remembered how she had felt when she started dating Sebastian, wanting nothing more than to see him every chance she had. As much as she tried to be the responsible mother, sometimes she just couldn’t help it. This was one of those moments, one where she gave in to the charms of her eldest, the spitting image of her father.

“Make sure you come back as soon as possible,” she relented with a small smile. “I don’t want your father calling me a bad mother for letting his baby do grown-up things.”

“Thank you, mum!”

With that being said, you sprinted off, weaving through mechanics, fans, and celebrities scattered around the paddock. You checked your phone to see if Mick had texted you, but there was nothing. That only made you hurry toward the Haas garage. Seeing it empty, you quickly turned around and headed toward the hospitality area, which was further away. While dodging anyone in your way, you sent Mick a message telling him you were on your way and that you had to be quick before your father returned.

When you arrived, the first thing you saw was Mick soaked in champagne, holding a bottle in his hand. The Haas team members, including Guenther, were celebrating. You felt out of place and your insecurity crept in, making you want to turn around and leave. But then Mick saw you, and the moment your eyes met, you knew you had made the right choice.

Mick immediately broke away from the group and rushed to your side, hugging you tightly. He wanted nothing more than to kiss you, even if just a quick peck, but his rational side reminded him that now was not the place.

“Congratulations, Mick!” you exclaimed, your excitement taking over you. “Oh my God, oh my God! I’m so proud of you!” you squealed, throwing your arms around his neck.

“I finally get to see you, princess. You have no idea how much I’ve wanted to,” he murmured playfully. “Although, I’d love to do a few other things with you.”

Your face turned bright red, something you had grown used to ever since you started dating Mick and were used to hear his endless compliments.

“How was the race?” he asked. “Did you like it, even though I probably looked like an idiot who doesn’t know how to drive?”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Mick!” you scolded, lightly hitting his arm. “You scored points for the first time. If that’s being an idiot, then I don’t know what that makes me.”

“That makes you the love of my life.”

Mick pulled you even closer, and just as he was about to kiss you, completely ignoring the risks, a voice interrupted.

Or rather, someone did.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing, Mick Schumacher?!”

As soon as you heard your father’s shouts, you and Mick pulled apart. You stood frozen, your face turning completely pale as Mick began cursing himself. How was he supposed to explain to the man who was like a father to him in many ways that he was dating you, his daughter?

You didn’t stay silent. You, who had a temper as strong as the man who had given her life, stepped between Mick and your father, trying to ease the tension that had formed over a simple show of affection.

“Dad, stop! It’s not what it looks like!” you exclaimed, nervous but determined.

“What do you mean it’s not what it looks like?” Sebastian scoffed, unwilling to believe your words. “Come on, Y/N, you were about to kiss him!”

“Yes, because Mick is my boyfriend,” you stated without hesitation. “We’ve been secretly dating since last month because we didn’t want to say anything just yet,” you explained without caring about the consequences. “So don’t act like this and use your fucking head and be reasonable for once.”

The Aston Martin driver was stunned, unsure how to react to the news that his daughter had a boyfriend, and that it was none other than the son of the man he considered his best friend, who had once been his mentor.

Mick watched as Sebastian looked at you in disbelief before shifting his gaze back to you, focusing all his attention on you.

“Y/N, this is insane… Mick,” he gestured toward him, “isn’t just any driver, he’s the son of—”

“I already know, Dad!” you interrupted, your tone sharp. “And? Does it matter? I don’t care who his father is, or who mine is, or the relationship between you two,” you tried to keep your voice steady. “We love each other, we take care of each other, and that’s the only thing that should matter to you.”

Mick alternated his gaze between father and daughter, finally mustering the courage to say something. But, before he could even open his mouth, Sebastian raised his right hand, silencing him immediately:

“Stop trying to fix this. You’ve fucked up, Mick,” he muttered as he stepped closer, his voice low enough that not even you could hear it. “My daughter is too young, and you know you could get into serious trouble if this gets out,” he added before stepping away and moving back toward you. “ I just sort of saved you from shit talks about you, so consider yourself lucky.”

“You can’t blame Mick for this, Dad,” you interjected defiantly. “We’re adults, and we can make our own decisions, so just leave us alone already.”

“You are not an adult, Y/N Vettel, you’re still a kid,” Sebastian snapped, his voice filled with unfiltered anger. “Stop acting like you are, because all you are is a reckless little girl.”

“Let me remind you that when you were 17 you fucked mum and you got her pregnant.”

You threw it out without thinking, and immediately, you regretted it, placing your hands over your mouth as if that could fix what you had just said. You knew you had been the most beautiful mistake your parents had, but you didn’t think about the impact it could have in their lives, especially in your father’s.

"I'm sorry, Juliet," the older driver began, trying not to let his anger and, especially, the pain he felt from your comment show. "But it's time to leave."

"Dad..."

"Not 'dad' or anything, Y/N," Sebastian said, raising his voice and making it sound harsher than he had intended at first. "Do you think it’s funny for me to see my daughter rubbing herself up against the one I consider my son?"

Mick paled as he heard his mentor’s words, feeling completely awful because he knew Sebastian was right. You threw him a look, but didn’t have the strength to answer. You were so in shock that you didn’t know how you hadn’t just left yet.

"And you, Mick," he said now, shooting a penetrating look at the young man, "I thought you could show a little more respect for our family and everything we’ve built together all these years."

Having said that, Sebastian took you by your shoulders carefully and started walking back to where the rest of your family was, not giving you or Mick a chance to say goodbye.

"We don't choose who we fall in love with, Sebastian," Schumacher blurted out, still frozen in place.

Your father and you turned around. The look of disappointment on Seb’s face made Mick feel a thousand times worse than he ever thought he could, but it was the sight of your tears falling rapidly that made him start crying.

"I expected you, more than anyone, to agree with this," he continued, pointing at you and himself, "because if there’s one thing I know, it’s that your daughter deserves someone good who can make her life the best it can be. If I can’t be that person because you won’t let us..." he pointed at himself, "...then I’ll be okay with it being someone else."

Vettel swallowed hard, not knowing what to say to the German’s words.

"I just want Y/N to be happy," the boy said again, "and if I have to let her go for now until you can accept and see that I’m really in love with your daughter, and that she’s the love of my life, I’ll be willing to do so."

With that, the young man turned around, trying not to look back, hoping to hear some words from those he had considered his family for so many years.

But, unfortunately for him, you and your father didn’t.

After a lengthy delay, extra medical cars were called to the site of the crash where both l/n and Gasly were cut from their cars. They were both rushed from the scene — it looked like they were bleeding out pretty badly…

Nevermore Theory

Alright, I’m finally going to go out and post my own Nevermore theory, now that the comic has returned. A lot of the things I wanna talk about are already pretty popular subjects of theory in the fandom (“Who killed Annabel Lee?”), but I wanna tackle a few points I rarely see addressed.

I am going to put all of this under the general thesis of: “The deans don’t lie, but they deliberately mislead.”

Unscientifically speaking, every time the deans come out and tell us something, my bullshit senses go off big time! I want to focus on two main claims they have made, that influence how we view the story in a major way: Who killed Annabel Lee and What’s up with the new life?

1. Who killed Annabel Lee?

I feel it necessary to type out the exact wording the deans use, because it is often misread or misremembered. Don’t worry, that is by design!

“Betrayed by the one who loved you above all else.”

“Who loved YOU” and not “Who YOU loved”. I think that distinction is very important and easily missed. Especially since the expressed purpose of the deans in that scene is to drive a wedge in Annabel and Lenore’s relationship. Now, you could easily argue, that this still points to Lenore. The two of them are the No. 1 relationship to root for after all. But this is where the second part of the statement comes in: “above all else”. In my opinion, Lenore has already demonstrated that she can and will put other things above Annabel Lee (divorce arc anyone?). I don’t doubt, that Lenore and Annabel were a lot closer when they were still alive, but I also don’t doubt that this is one of Lenore’s core personality traits. The other thing I want to point out is, that you don’t have control about “who loves you the most.” You would hope it is your significant other, or maybe a good friend or even a parent. But you can’t really know that. Which brings me to another part of this theory: “Well, who did it then?”

Short answer, I don’t know, but I have a hunch.

First off, I kind of dismissed her father as a suspect by personal preference. We don’t have a lot to go off here, but I think he is too dismissive of her to fit the description. I’m particularly thinking about the scene where he gushed to “Leo” about boats, rather than playing wingman for his daughter.

My main suspect is instead Annabel’s nameless suitor. We don’t know much about him, other than he has already challenged Annabel multiple times (showing dedication). She says: “I’ve defeated the poor fellow a dozen times now, but he is terribly persistent.” Her father has promised him, that at the end of the season he can marry Annabel if she hasn’t found a husband by then. I can imagine how angry he might be, if that plan doesn’t shake out and she gets engaged to another man, right before he finally gets his wish.

Coming back to the deans, I think we can find that they very deliberately chose their words to lead to a false conclusion. Annabel might know who she loves above all else, but she can’t know who would love her in that way. She is left to make assumptions and we along with her. The words “love” and “betrayal” point to someone close to her, and since she died on her wedding day we are lead to a most likely suspect. That’s how we skip over the precise details of the claim. And the deans have never even uttered a lie.

2. What about the new life?

“If you survive these exams you’ll get a chance at a new life.”

That’s the first claim we get from the deans about the prize waiting at the end of nevermore academy. And it is frustratingly vague. Luckily, we already know the first trick they pulled with that one, so we can take that as a guide to analyse it further. This short little claim lets you read almost anything you want into it. It doesn’t specify how many students are allowed to claim the price or, even more importantly, how tose exams will be designed. By leaving out information the automatic assumption is: “Everyone who passes the exams, gets a chance at a new life.” However if these exams ever are designed to only allow a single winner, then only one person would be able to clear the win condition. Nobody would think about any of this, when presented with such an opportunity. It’s why all hell breaks loose when they finally reveal the reward will only be granted to one student. Speaking of which, their wording changes a bit in that reveal.

“…and to the one lucky student amongst you who will be born again.”

Born again is new. It implies at least to some degree a fresh start. Not simply a continuation from where you left off. But that’s another problem. We do not know a single thing about what that new life entails. The students are too caught up in the urgency of the whole situation. They are dead. The deans are offering a way to return. That is all that matters. We hear what we want to hear. I think if we were to ask every student, every one would want something different out of the new life. I doubt Pluto would like to return to how things were.

What the new life looks like is impossible to say, and it is once more designed that way. I still would like to theorise. My personal pet theory is, that you return to the world of the living as a spectre. This is why the deans push students to manifest train their powers. Students with strong spectres are shown favouritisms and exams are designed to eliminate students who haven’t manifested. If you were to return to the world of the living as a human, what good would your spectres do you?

Im conclusion, the deans use our own assumptions against us, by being deliberately vague on important subjects. At the same time, they have yet to outright lie about something. They simply don’t tell you things. To me, that means double checking everything they say. It is kind of like uttering a wish to a djinn or dealing with fae. Be really mindful of the wording and how it may be used against you.

Ok you might not be interested in this but you seem to be the tennisblr discourse person and your takes are so great so feel free not to answer haha - but I feel like this fandom collectively is sleeping on the potential of Novak/Carlos? Something about this Fedal baby appearing when all Novak's real rivals are gone who is openly affectionate with Nole like neither of them were. & the pain of Carlos losing matches he's expected to win very publicly to him all the time & getting criticised for falling for Novak's "mind games" (lol) but still not making any effort to stay away from him. And all the titan/titanito stuff IDK it compels me

most importantly, you are RIGHT. there is massive potential here, in both their on-court history and their off-court dynamic. in fact there's so much material that i'm struggling to shape my thoughts into a coherent answer SORRY IN ADVANCE. ← need to stop acting like this isn't the norm.

ok first of all. rpf aside, this rivalry is fascinating because carlos alcaraz is doing more than anyone else around to validate novak's current day stature as a tennis player. and novak's at the stage of his career where you start to think about your legacy not just in the wider world but within tennis—how will you be remembered and talked about by those who inherit the sport from you. 

roger federer is the very, very obvious measuring stick. take this video (obligatory zverev & kyrgios warning). in a vacuum you'd never know who barely played half these guys versus who was out there making mincemeat of them on the regular while also holding every record known to man. such minced meat that those achievements aren't necessarily seen as a success for you so much as a referendum on them. 

and then along comes carlos alcaraz. and for reasons fair or unfair, tennis fans are so hungry for his arrival. they want to a new star, they want to see him dominate, and they want it to look exciting. and some tennis fans, in particular, would love to see novak djokovic get washed. 

which at first is what looks like is gonna happen. carlos wins his first wimbledon final at novak's expense. the emperor's been toppled, ding dong the witch is dead—and then cincinnati. then wimbledon again, and not even close, he's really for real dead, this time it's gonna take—and then the olympics. which is the first major final loss carlos has ever experienced, tears and all. and then the australian open, where carlos has set his sights loudly and uncompromisingly on the title and the career slam and the record. only guess what. not yet. 

and now novak is indisputably part of carlos' narrative, an active agent in a living breathing rivalry with a flesh-and-blood player instead of ghosts and record books. everyone says carlos alcaraz is the real thing. and that means that so, still, is novak. 

(meanwhile, in the space of 12 months jannik sinner happened. but i can't get into that or this post will REALLY get out of control.)

that's on court. where carlos plays not like rafa but like roger, and there's no way novak doesn't see that. ("spanish never die" notwithstanding.) off court, it's like falling into a mirrorverse. carlos isn't just willing to share the spotlight he's eager to have company. he is singlehandedly trying to yank the player he's identified as his closest peer up there on the same level with him well before anyone else gets it. and he thinks novak is one of the greats.

like yeah man WHAT IF time-traveling roger federer actually loved you. here's round two with a certified tennis genius who doesn't resent you and everything you represent and does laugh at your jokes and respect your achievements and speak in glowing terms about how you play tennis. it's gotta feel good, right?

and yet. not good enough to stop novak from doing what he has to do to win.

there's something similar yet very finely distinct about novak and carlos as top players and people persons. i'm boiling it down to, for novak it's being friends won't stop my talent and for carlos it's my talent shouldn't stop us from being friends. (i would say that's also roger coded, except imo roger's initial take, in the mid-00s, was that his talent very well MIGHT stop you from being friends and that's okay, he doesn't hold it against you. <3) in both cases, the feelings are genuine, and so is the confidence. 

novak's always wanted to be liked. he's the funny guy, he wants to make people laugh, he wants to be friends, but he is absolutely and totally unwilling to compromise the things that might make it easier to keep those friends. given a choice, he will always choose being the best. and if someone, or someones—especially someones—doesn't like him, well. for better or worse, he's learned to feed on it. this is no different. friendship and respect and affection and praise are not going to stop novak from using every tool at his disposal to win. every bit of understanding he's gained about his opponent as a person and a player. 

(my take on this is not actually negative by the way. if you're a professional athlete it's your responsibility to use those tools and to play the person as well as the player. also coming to the mind games sport and complaining about the mind games is like going to the circus and complaining about the clowns.)

i think that ao qf moment was so telling—the moment carlos was faux-limping and looking over at novak's bench with this sort of injured confusion like, why are you doing this to me. betrayed dog vibes to the max. the comments afterward as well. the tear was very real, but the reaction says a lot. like welcome to the novak djokovic experience kid! bff phrased it as "the phenomenon of accepting novak djokovic's overtures of friendship and inadvertently letting him into your psyche just enough for him to fuck with you the next time you play. he should talk to rafa about it." this isn't the only interpretation, but it sure is a tasty one.

and yet. carlos is demonstrably a lover not a hater. i would bet anything that—especially with the injury details out there—it's not going to change anything even if, like, IT SHOULD. there is this bit in anon's fic one is silver and the other gold, which is one of my favorite carlos & novak dynamics: Carlos wants to hate him. It would be easier; everything would be easier if he could hate all the people he's supposed to, for "proper competitive mindset" or whatever. But as usual, he just doesn't have it in him.

idk i think there is a ton of fascinating stuff to dig into wrt regret and cycles and second chances and novak's impending mortality and the nature of genius. i do think it's ultimately doomed but it's still really interesting. 

(or alternatively i mean. maybe the impending mortality DOES make the difference. maybe novak does get out of the time loop! like, i am most personally compelled by all of the above with the invisible presence of andy murray haunting the narrative BUT there is a pretty funny romcom alternative with novak's friend (!!!) and coach andy murray immediately clocking what's up and being like nole please don't get your heart broken by a twenty-one year old, which, HEY novak's been around the block a few times he's not gonna do something stupid… <- he is absolutely gonna do something stupid.)

I've been seeing mutuals or people I follow get hate for liking Regulus, and in an effort to not hijack anyone's post, I'll barf my thoughts out here to get them out of my head. Stuff gets stuck circling around there for weeks if I don't. Will get a bit political cause I'm me.

I don't want to rehash the points other people have made because they put it very well. I will include a summary though, for anyone who hasn't seen this stuff on their dash:

Death eaters are the magical version of members of Nazi or fascist parties, obviously. Pure blood supremacists are Nazi and fascist supporters, even though they're not directly members of the party. Why wouldn't they be if they agree with their views? It's a big undertaking, people view politics as a waste of time on any side of the political spectrum, it's risky to attach your name to anything official etc.

Walburga and Orion are clearly pure blood supremacists in the canon and if you don't think so, please work on your reading comprehension.

Real people are immensely influenced by their environment, especially as children; characters are supposed to be representations of real people; Regulus' unique mix of nature + nurture made it so that he is too afraid to disobey what he has been taught until he reaches his limit, and didn't have any support to spur him in the right direction, unlike Sirius.

I want to add on to that by talking about headcanons and their impact.

Firstly, headcanons, specifically in the Marauders fandom, are mostly treated as canon since we have so little to work with, and many of us disrespect the canon on purpose because fuck jkr. There are a bunch of headcanons that the majority of us agree on, such as Dorcas being in Slytherin, Regulus' animagus being a black cat etc. People that like Regulus, don't agree with or are ignorant of Canon Regulus, the very little that there is of him at that! They either like Headcanon/Fanon Regulus who makes a sincere effort to right his wrongs OR they are fascinated by Canon Regulus as an interesting character, which doesn't mean they endorse his actions (can't believe that needs to be said). Same thing applies for Evan and Barty.

The Fanon version has the amazing ability to show what circumstances might lead to someone having violently bigoted beliefs, and in some cases, what it takes for them to shed those beliefs and take accountability for their actions. In my opinion, it's incredibly important to show that narrative, especially as written by people with no financial stake in what they convey, because of the times we're living in. The USA is a good example.

The circumstances that majority of the citizens in the United States were raised in implanted bigoted beliefs in them, some more subtle than others. Those circumstances persist and even get worse. That does not mean Americans deserve punishment, isolation, belittlement or ridiculisation. Those things make bigotry worse. They need new thought models and to be shown that unity and diversity make life better and safer for everyone. It takes people of the global south and marginalised groups in their own country to liberate the average citizens from themselves and then their government. Punishment for the sake of punishment doesn't resolve anything, though some people might interpret responsibility and necessary violence as punishment.

That being said, Regulus might not be compared to an average citizen, since he was so rich, but I think many people that grew up in bigoted environments can see themselves in him, even if they don't fit his story beat by beat. If you reduce Regulus to his worst parts, what does that imply about their hope that they can make a difference? If you wish Regulus' character and those similar would be collectively hated by everyone in the fandom, what does that say about them? Still, in a way, people that reduce Regulus to his worst parts add to the poetry: you can choose to do good in spite of the fact that you will always be viewed as evil, and that good still counts more than everyone else's opinions of you. (Hello Wei Wuxian)

I know people's hurt feelings aren't our focus in the cause of global liberation and I agree, victims should definitely come first, but hurt feelings lead to action. We could use all the manpower we can get, therefore it's better to make allies rather than enemies. And allies are made with understanding and patience. Not everyone has the strength of character to go against everything they've ever known on their own, as exemplified by Regulus.

So I do think that people bashing others for liking him are getting on a moral high horse and losing the bigger picture. If you categorise characters as good and bad, it's a sign that you have the tendency to do that with real people too, which is dehumanising. You can change though, like Regulus did 👍

Movie 3 Predictions

Ever since it got announced, people have been predicting what the third theatrical film will be like. Now that both a leak and an official source has informed us that A) Marshall will be the focus and B) dinosaurs are involved, even more predictions have popped up. Well, I figure I might as well throw some of my own out there. Besides, it's been a while since I've made one of my trademark lengthy posts. 😇

I'm going to try and not go crazy with these. I'm just going to post the ones that jump out at me. Admittedly, it feels like a lot of us have thought the same thing, so some of these might not be anything new.

In any case, here are my predictions. Due to the length of this post, some of the more important parts will be highlighted, in case you prefer to just skim through all of this.

The leak mentioned Mayor Humdinger will be involved. I think he'll find the dinosaurs, and ultimately, he'll try to exploit them. He'll round them all up and transport them back to Adventure City, where he'll hold his new "Hum-Dino-Topia" theme park! Naturally, things will go wrong, the dinosaurs will get loose, and they'll cause all kinds of havoc for the finale. Cue the PAW Patrol to save the day.

Marshall, despite not being all that clumsy in the previous films (especially The Mighty Movie), will suddenly be very clumsy in this one. It'll affect his confidence at points, he'll mess things up during one of the missions, and someone will get mad and question if he deserves to be a part of the PAW Patrol. Maybe he'll even run away, like in "Pups Save a Friend", before returning for the finale.

The metadata in a leaked file, as well as that voice actor audition thing seeking someone with a disability to voice a pup who uses a wheelchair, strongly suggests Rex, from Dino Rescue, will be in the film. Nothing's officially yet, but the evidence is pretty good so far. In any case, if he is involved, I imagine that, like the TV series, he'll be living with the dinosaurs, possibly for most of his life. He might have gadgets, but like his wheelchair, it'll all be crude, until he gets a big upgrade once he becomes a member of the PAW Patrol.

Also, unlike the TV series, the dinosaurs will be on an island, and not some location you have to get to via a cave. Also also, much like The Mighty Movie ignoring 2018's Mighty Pups, I think the movie will flat-out ignore the TV series' continuity again, so everyone will act like this is the first time they've met Rex and seen dinosaurs.

Folks are wondering how they'll address removing the pups' superpowers from The Mighty Movie. Honestly? This might sound cynical, but I think they'll just flat-out ignore it, much like how the TV series quickly moves on from each subseries. They had powers one moment, now they don't. At best, we might get an explanation, but it'll be brief ("It's a shame the crystals ran out of power and now we can't use them anymore.")

Marshall will likely get a backstory. What do I hope we get? Marshall had a rough time because of his clumsiness, and people were mean to him and laughed at the pup a lot. It became too much for him, and with a face full of tears, he ran away. He later stumbled upon (perhaps into) Ryder, and the boy took him in. Despite his new owner, Marshall continued to struggle, which resulted in Chase taking him under his paw to help the Dalmatian. During this time, the two became close, practically like brothers, and his encouragement, love and support helped Marshall to not only do better, but to prove to everyone who ever laughed at or doubted him that they were wrong. In time, he became the firefighter we know today, making both Chase and Ryder proud. Now, what do I expect? Nobody took Marshall seriously because of his clumsiness, he tried to do something dangerous to prove himself, he nearly died, Ryder saved him, and talking about his past right before the finale helps him move on and find the confidence to succeed during the last mission. We won't get any more than that, and it'll more or less follow the basic blueprints as Chase and Skye's backstories.

Given this is Marshall's movie, I expect a massive fire will break out during the finale, which will threaten both humans and the dinosaurs that got loose. Marshall will likely doubt himself at one point, but he'll pull through, figure out a brilliant plan to extinguish the fire(s), and the day will be saved. (I don't expect this at all, but maybe Chase will get wounded and trapped by the fire, making things all the more personal and emotional for Marshall.)

The Poms will be absent. At best, they might get a cameo, reacting to the dinosaurs loose in Adventure City or something.

Liberty will no doubt show up, but I think she'll get less screen time here. She'll stay behind to watch over Adventure City when the pups go to dinosaur island, and then she'll help out during the finale (to guide people to safety and whatnot).

Victoria Vance won't be present at all. If anything, a new villain will pop up to help Mayor Humdinger. Probably a female baddie.

As for the other pups who aren't in the focus? I think Chase will get plenty of attention, and he'll be up front in a mission or two (sadly, I don't think the movie will acknowledge the fact he's best friends with Marshall). Skye will get a bunch of time in the spotlight, due to making sure they get plenty of girl representation in the film. Rubble will still get most of the comedic moments, and he'll ride on top of a dinosaur at some point, to reference that season 2 episode. Rocky will help, but I can't see him getting any huge involvement in the plot, outside of a few rescues. Zuma will get a cool moment, and maybe he'll even save a human or dinosaur in the water, but I don't think he'll get to take out another villain again.

CABIN GROUP HEADCANONS !!

since Pete was a huuuge influence on nick, he also had an impact on Nick's music taste. Pete was a huge fan of metal, so is nick! he would enjoy doom/stoner metal the most.

Luke is the complete opposite of nick, he would enjoy country, also songs like barbie girl, and artists like sir mix-a-lot. he would definitely force nick to listen to those with him.

Carlos isn't an actual doctor and he wasn't before the apocalypse. the medical knowledge he has is from books he read to take care of his loved ones, and his wife, who was a nurse taught him something too. as seen in the game, he isn't perfect, although he is trying his best.

when the group arrived to the cabin, the previous owners left their belongings behind, including board games. and each night the group would relax and spend time together, hanging out and getting to know each other, especially when playing board games.

Sarah's mother, despite her job as a nurse who is supposed to take care of people, was neglectful of her daughter, not understanding her issues either. Carlos divorced with her when Sarah was still young and it happened before the apocalypse. he took the custody of the young girl and became overprotective of her, especially after the outbreak which resulted in not letting her adapt to the present world.

Rebecca was in the mean popular girls cliché back in the highschool.

Luke was chubby before the outbreak, and he still may have some chub. it's his body type, since he worked on the farm he burnt a lot of calories but still stayed chubby.

Alvin and Rebecca met at the ski resort, and with each anniversary they would go skiing here.

Nick's mom was really young when she had him, around 19-21. she didn't have any plans yet, and his biological father was reckless and preferred partying rather than taking care of his own son. luckily Pete was here for him.

Sarah loves playing with dolls or some kind of figurines. she would get every member of the group to play with her, the best people to play with her would be Alvin and Luke (except Carlos because he is her dad). Alvin is soon to be dad and his tender personality is great to play with children, and Luke is naturally good with kids and would be like a big brother to Sarah sometimes. the most irritable would be Nick and Rebecca, Nick just wouldn't know how to handle it and get irritated easily or just ruin the whole fun. Rebecca would try her best, but not always understand and get irritated, which would make her feel bad. she would try to work on it though, for the sake of her baby and as she doesn't want to make Sarah sad. Sarah would never ask Pete, though.

Nick and Luke met in the 1st grade of elementary school. Nick was a shy and quite troublesome kid, and Luke was the type of kid who was always in the center of everyone's attention. despite their different personalities, they got along pretty quickly, often hanging out on both of their families' farms.

Rebecca came from an abusive household and is guarded and may seem hostile at first, but deep down she is a really caring, and has a soft spot for people who went through family abuse as well. she tends to hide her true emotions behind a "tough bitch" facade, but when she is alone with Alvin, whom she trusts the most, breaks down in tears to let out the pent up emotions in her.

Alvin gives the best hugs in the entire world. he's like a teddy bear.

Sarah's PTSD might come from the time she spent in Howe's, seeing the violence and innocent people's death caused by Carver. she is particularly afraid of him, the fear she is experiencing affects her usual life a lot, her sleep too, she often has nightmares and has to be comforted by Carlos.

Luke never had luck with women, they always rejected him. he never gave up though and kept talking to them. Nick, seeing how unlucky his best friend was, never even tried to get with ANYONE.

Hehe! I love sharing about them... Thinking about it, I'll probably also make this a seperate post... But since this is a small little chain With Mamitsu at the top, Im'a give the general basis of the Bromind Deities and whatnot :3

ok, first some background. Hellena, Dragonopolis and Bromind all have the same high Goddess... Not so creatively named The Goddess Light. She originated in Dragonopolis giving her life to save thousands more, yadda yadda yadda the universe turned her into a god. She eventually got the rule over two more dimensions, but unable to control all three at once by herself and wanting to stay mostly in her homeland, she created the deities and the Hellena Goddesses (But thats another not so developed story)

The "Real" Bromind deties are split into two groups; the Terrestrial (Theres two here; Fawn - Animals and Myca - Plants and fungi) and The Astral (Theres three here: Neptune - Planets, Void - Darkness and Nebula - Stars). Though while Light was creating them, she got indicisive and told multiple people they were going to be Said Deity. SO, istead of telling the other when she made up her mind, she just let them die, gave them the god-like body and then just went like "Oh yeah, your not a deity, that one it". So then they were stuck like that. Funnily enough, Theres also a heirarchy (Light at the top, Astrals second (Except Void), Terrestrials next, then Fallen (This is where Void falls), And at the bottom, not even counted, are the False.

The False Deities are: Dandilion (Neptune's "other"), Siri (Nebula's "Other"), Mamitsu (Fawn's "Other") and Faya (I think she's Voids "other"? I can't really remember). Oh yeah these guys are also freinds with a couple of curse masters (The name is really implies what they are. they just are these magic people things that have the ability to control curses and whatnot... REALLY powerful, like they're their own version of a god) Their names are Hemta (At one point when I forgot his name but was grounded his name was Henta... Not my best move...) And Akzerie.

The whole story with the False starts when Light choses Nebula (Neb for short) over Siri... Which she is PISSSED cause Neb is such a smartass and she's pretty nice. So she grouped up the rest of the False Deities and the couple of curse masters. Void, noticing this and after falling, used this to her advantage. She told Siri that she would help her make a new heirarchy, one where Siri and the other False's were at the top. Liking this idea, Siri said yes, and went off doing all of Void's dirty work. She made the rest of the deities fall, got most people on Bromind (Keep in mind this place is like a weird altered version of Earth, with probably more entities than there are people here.) to belive this new heirarchy... Just to find out it was all rigged to the start... The fallen were at the top still, the False were at the bottom (The 2 Curse masters were on her now tho, yippiee!) again. Void was at the top.

So, Siri was absolutely pissed off again, she rallied the other False, now taking on a little change in her design and "Falling", she went around and changed everyones belifes again, making a new heirarchy where she and the other false were at the top, and the "reals" were at the bottom. And thats a summary of the False deity lore. It doesnt vary too much from the normal ones, they sync in a lot of places so, the only thing is how Void fell and I don't know how she did too well. I think she started to question Lights ways... and that ended poorly.

Well, I might as well sumarize the actual deity lore I guess

So Light first created Neptune to be the only deity to exist on bromind. she was in control of it. But then she got lonely, Light created Void. The two got really close but Void started to question Light's really cruel ways and then fell, getting her halo ripped off and now being cast away to the dark side of Brominds moon, or just a black hole I guess. She also got very violent and sadistic and minipualtive. After this Light created Nebula, Neptune didn't click with him all two well and they but heads alot. Now going down to the actual planet, Myca was created as the deity of plants, animals and fungi. But this proved to be too much so Fawn was created. Thats about it. A fun thing is though Fawn and Myca are dating, so thats a random fact. And Myca's trans too.

On one hand, I want a final fantasy 6 remake, because the game is criminally underrated and the amount of fan content (which is all absolutely fantastic btw) is Not Enough for my neurodivergent, hyperfixating brain.

On the other hand, that would inevitably encourage more people to join the fandom, which would be great, except it seems these days the bigger a fandom gets the more toxic it becomes, and I really like what we have going on over here in our little corner. We all just love the game and its characters and nobody fights about who should and shouldn't date who or who you shouldn't like because they're ~problematique~. Nobody's trying to make one ship morally better than another, nobody's calling anyone names or threatening to doxx people who don't agree with their opinions. It's so peaceful and I love that for us. We're just vibing. Moisturized. Unbothered. In our lane. Flourishing.
