Y'all who was going to tell me that the "Subaru" in "Okiya Subaru" is legitimately the same kanji as the car brand? And while in disguise, Akai drives a Subaru??

Imagine Akai needing to find a name after faking his death, and a la "Edogawa Conan" naming style, looks at this new car he got for his cover and is like excellent that's my name now. This headcanon now lives rent free in my head.

sorry ive been trying to avoid talking about the movie but oh my god has anyone else seen this because i feel like im going insane reading it. theres so much wrong with this why is there such a massive gap between some of these thats clearly only there because of how famous the actor is and not because of how big a role theyre playing . why is the guy voicing the main character so low on the list . why is the bottom 3 just every single woman in the cast . hello. its so dark in here

#thats not to say some of the ones getting paid less arent famous i just meant some names are more recognizable than others #i mean its not surprising the sonic movies have always seemed to have more respect for the live action cast than the voice cast #and among the voice cast more respect for the big name celebrities than the more experienced voice actors #but god damn #i know hollywood is just like this sometimes but that doesnt make it less ridiculous #i made a joke a while back that maybe the lack of knuckles screentime in the knuckles show is because idris elba is expensive #and now im starting to actually believe that because wtf .#are amy and rouge not in the movie because they spent all their money on the celebrity cast . come on man

The realisation that Lace Harding and Liara got the same voice actor :O

I could not hear that at all. Well, at least it is now confirmed that the voice actor was innocent for the weird way Liara lines was always said. She can apperntly act. Something else in production caused that

#dragon age the veilguard #playing dragon age veilguard #lace harding #i could never quite bond with liara because of the weird breathy way all her lines were said #like there never felt like there were any emotion?#or hardly any anyway #it is a similiar problem as neve #neve performance is not emotionless though #it is just.... feels like the actress was not told which scene she was in at all ever #so the lines are often performaned in a way were one suspect #that the actress had no idea what the answering dialogue or context was #which is most likely the case #i have heard this being a major problem in video game voice acting #that the get the lines sent to them to perform alone with no context #which explains why some actors that are useally good at voice work #suddenly becomes a mess in video game voice acting #BUT neves performance really stands out with having #also having shoddy editing were you reanky can tell were the editor cut and paste different lines togheter #all character suffers from this in dav but neve performance makes it glaringly obvious #all the characters who are returning from dai sounded better in dai #and i suspect it is the editors of the dialogues that are the problem #the ones responible of cleaning up the sound and cutting togheter the sound bytes;$#from the voice actors #and the direction BUT #but both Solas and Varric voice actors the sound of their voices sound so much worse in dav #they both sound like they have been smoking 3 packs a day the last 10 years #AND both had been acting on live stage non stop before performing their dialogue in the start of the game #i think that us not the case so something is wrong there #or ofcourse lol it is possible that solas and varrics voice actors are just not that good at performing the feelings of stressed argument #bur i dont think that is the case...

I think I've become an official HI3 player. I check the HSR leaks hoping for iterations of HI3 characters now

#I have little hope about some of them. For instance the Su and Kevin voice actors are taken by Aventurine and the Trailblazer iirc?#Kalpas' voice actor does the male Dreamseeker in Part 2 of HI3 which is not as terminal considering HSR is a different game but still #Luocha thankfully exists. I don't think they'll be introducing Kiana anytime soon #I would love Sakura but I'm way more into PE Sakura than CE Sakura and then there's what they did with Miko #Some of my favourite things of PE Sakura they gave to Jingliu or Acheron already (freeze time‚ haunted and corrupted by loss‚#unable to unsheathe a sword and memories coming back to her when she does‚#piercing someone's heart with her sword but the other person living on with a new life‚...)#Thus an iteration of all that but with the cool things missing could get messy and unsatisfactory pretty easily #Mobius and MEI are similar to Mei and Herta so they're in a similar situation to PE Sakura #I find Griseo somewhat unsettling in a good way and in a way same with Eden. I love all the loss weighing on her as if she had already dead #with the concept of her being The Era itself and the era dying. So I wouldn't mind seeing them too #Hua seems like she may appear in the Xianzhou? Given the Marshall existence and that the Xianzhou drinks a lot of those concepts #Blade‚ Dan Heng and Jingliu drink so much of Fu Hua. I don't care about Hua though. The Herrscher I did like though #I'm curious about what they'll do #Other than the Chinese voice actor having already a steady job in Mihoyo‚ there's echoes of Kalpas in Blade‚ Arlan and Sam #so I really don't have much hope there. Not as little as with Kevin and Su perhaps but... yeah not really a lot of hope #Yet here I am. Hopelessly hoping for a Kalpas iteration. Imagine how beautiful the fire would be *sigh*#I was so mad about him being my favourite in HI3 but it just makes sense #Besides the Guzm.a process he went me go through‚ he truly has a lot of themes going on that recall Blade. I don't know...#I like his CN voice actor a lot‚ and how he plays Kalpas in particular‚ both when he's calm and when he's deranged #The Dreamseeker doesn't have the same voice at all unfortunately. I would really love to see him in HSR what can I say #That's the kind of person I've become. AAAHH my god she's so incredibly talented from all #her research work as a silvermane guard and mechanic to rocking out in her own band and singing like a goddess. mad respect #to each one of her voice actors for that. especially Natalie because good heavens y'all her performance is literal perfection.#it fits serval so well and all the emotion you hear during her companion quest is phenomenal it makes me wanna cry. her #backstory with cocolia is heartbreaking yet she still manages to continue on and live her best life and im so happy and proud.#she's such a sweetheart to her siblings and chill and strong and straight up beautiful so yes OF COURSE i had to include #both light cones. she's my absolute favorite and i can do whatever i want on my birthday thank you very much! and that's #exactly why i started this whole edit series when i did so that the countdown would line up perfect with her landing on today.#also gave the other siblings a quote about their family so had to do the same with her. so i figured yeah why not both lcs? because #she deserves all the praise and definitely earned herself a spot in my heart for many years to come. i love her like crazy.

I like how whenever I watch AstralSpiff or Backseat play a new Poppy Chapter it’s pretty clear what game that they devs had been playing before hand lmao,, Chapter 4 being very clearly referencing to the Resident Evil 4 underground factory insect fights with how it was framed

#disco speaks!#honestly the most interesting chapter is still chapter 3 to me because there’s a consistent antagonist and it expounds on that story with #every step as well as actually showing the playcare and hour of joy #i don’t like the franchise because of what happened with the devs and the merch and NFTs and just general stuff with MOB #but like yeah. the more it digs down it just gets more vague and expansive to the point where it’s like where do the characters draw theline #like Doey hates the doctor but works with him but also hates Poppy more for also being abused but doesn’t hate Kissy or Mommy??#the prototype is probably not going to the live up to the hype because it’s been dragged out for too long #why the fuck is the player here? four chapters and over like I’ll give them like 15 hrs of playtime #(if even that) and there’s like been several antagonists with like catnap and the doctor being the most interesting and tied into the #big bad evil. also like I feel bad for the kids obviously but then the hour of joy where it’s like poppy are sad that ‘innocent’ people were #killed but also like is LIKE WHO DO WE EVEN CARE ABOUT??#the player who is just a witness to the thing and barely has a stake in this #why is kissy nice like sometimes having the audience questioning the story and lore to be interested #but it’s like security breach a moment of thought and it’s just like this game is built on really nothing but wanting to make a game #and I love security breach but that’s not how you write a story #there’s good parts of poppy playtime and security breach but they don’t make up for the lack of planning for either #like at least security breach came all at once and there’s been other games to set the precedent and premise #but to quote the stupid meme poppy playtime insists upon itself #and by the way im not talking shit about the fandom or anything like that cause like #I’d be a hypocrite and im still following the story and will watch the next chapter when it comes out. it still deserves critism #and there’s also suspension of disbelief to go with it and I do enjoy it sometimes #and there’s also respect for the artists and story writers and the coders who care about their work and craft #the sound designers and the voice actors and everyone in between #ughhh I don’t know
