Script notes and makeup continuity breakdowns from ‘Loki’ season one (2020). Episodes 3-6. We started at the end of episode six, and worked backward. Together, Tom and I found script markers for every single wound, grass stain, and dirt array. I love the details!!! When we actually shot the very end of episode six with TH in this look, I had just finished his makeup and he bolted out the makeup trailer door in a flash. When I saw him on set, I panicked.... 35 percent of my work had ‘melted’ into his pores. Looked fantastic, but it was 2/3 of what I had planned. He said ‘trust me’, and so I did. That became our routine! I would do my magic, and he would make it a part of him. He would run from the basecamp to the stage or backlot so he could melt the makeup into his pores for a more ‘lived in’ look. It worked, I think. The story told on screen was also reflected in every aspect of his makeup. Look closely and you’ll see my notes to help justify every detail. Of course, it was a collaborative effort.
