nothing makes me sadder then when i remember so many different species of birds mate for life and grieve when their partners die

Got them when I was 13 (? i believe) and had them for years until#Charlie passed away during a vet visit#Thinking about it still mKes me choked up 😭 i miss him#they were a special pair. to me at least#Andy was so sad when I didn’t come home with him. so confused#she was so quiet for a bit and I could tell she was sad. I cried so much then#so maybe she knew or at least eventually figured it out that he wasnt coming back#she still has me and kiwi but i know its not the same to her#she still talks to kiwi and chatters with me and preens me#but she doesnt cuddle up like she did with charlie :( they were my babies#i think im gonna be a mess when she passes. my old little lady#i love her so much :( she doesn’t even know
