Art becomes life. For most artists, once the desire to create gets in their mind it begins to exude from their soul and becomes all encompassing. We eat, breathe, and sleep to make art. We take on the identity of “artist” and our whole life reflects that. While in the studio, the artist becomes so involved in a project that all else fades away into the background and then vanishes in the distance. . I used to struggle with anxiety daily. The only things that would allow my mind a break from that was being in the studio creating and being outside walking in nature. In the studio, all my focus would shift from the anxious thought patterns my mind had created to what my hands, mind, body, and soul was creating. It was the best anxiety medication ever. It gave me hope that I could get past the anxiety. Eventually I did. Identify found, anxiety lost. . Do you ever suffer from anxiety? How do you escape it?
