Aubry Maire ~1850
Aubry-Maire ~1850 - rare romantic guitar from France Joseph Aubry (1801–1867) was a luthier in Mirecourt (France). He most probably married a “Miss Maire” and subsequently built guitars under the hyphenated name of Aubry-Maire (using a hyphenated brand name arising from a marriage or joint venture was a common practice in Mirecourt). Joseph Aubry was a contemporary of Rene Lacote. His instruments were highly regarded because his work was precise, his materials were of high quality and his inlay work showed great artistic accomplishment. This nice guitar can be dated to the time around 1850. It has the typical makers stamp reading "Aubry-Maire" and an importers label "Louis Grunewald - New Orleans". The body style is similar to Panormo's guitars. It is lightly built and has a unique construction with lightly arched top and back. “Built under Tension” was the descriptive phrase for that type of construction. The top of the guitar is of spruce. The sides of rosewood. The back seams to be some sort of laminated construction, which we often see on romantic guitars. The scale length is 626 mm and the nut width 50 mm. The guitar sounds nice and immediately impresses with a very sweet tone. The basses are deep and the trebles are smooth, lively and colourful with great expressiveness. Due to its age and its light weight, the soundis woody, with an ample amount of tonal modulation and dynamic range. This guitar produces sweet tones, whith a lot of charme. When the guitar came to us it was in pretty rough shape, with lots of repairs (more or less professionally done). Our luthier gave it a good amount of restoration work to bring it back to life. The guitar plays very nicely with a low action and a straight neck. Read the full article

The 4th of June 1832
The clear day as the sun rose in the sky seemed to be long, drawn and unbearable in terms of heat and without any respite in terms of rain for the Parisians. All through the day Enjolras had been walking across several districts and quarters of Paris, his shoes showed some signs of wear by the evening. As the sun went down, Enjolras waited at his lodgings for the arrival of his friends.
Bahorel and Feuilly knocked on the door softly three times, there was a sound of the latch being removed and the door opened, the fresh face of Enjolras greeted them. He had taken off his cravat, rolled up his shirt sleeves and smoothed out his printer's smock which he wore over loose dark trousers. His black waistcoat and white shirt underneath were still in immaculate condition. His dark blue (almost black) frock coat was laid neatly on the bed.
Enjolras told them that he wanted to air out some words to dry and needed their input, causing their conversation to start with a laugh, not because they hadn’t heard this in casual conversation enough times, Enjolras sometimes used a printer’s language because of habit and also because it was familiar, comfortable and warm. He knew this, and had always greeted his friends in this manner, to see laughter on their faces. They fell to discussing immediate strategy and placement of their groups, once the funeral passed through Faubourg Saint-Antoine.
Combeferre and Joly were still at Necker and Salpêtrière respectively, finishing their shifts, after Combeferre had returned from Picpus in the morning, and Joly from talking to medical students. Courfeyrac was milling outside the cafes and neighbourhoods where polytechnics gathered, and Bossuet was haunting the law school courtyards, engaging the students. Prouvaire had not yet returned after being told to speak to the lodge of the Rue de Grenelle-Saint-Honoré.
Enjolras’ eyes were a little red, his face more brittle, visible lines of concentration and worry were evident on it. He had spent the entire day, after an early meeting with Cougourd d’Aix- with workers around the markets of Saint-Denis and Les Halles; among the hustle and bustle of , men, women, children coming and going, bicycles speeding past, gamins and gamines playing in the street. There was a basket maker’s shop, a fishmonger’s stall, a tailor’s shop and a butcher's shop; several rag pickers were walking around, as well as some hawkers and women who plied their trade as prostitutes. He then walked to Rue Saint-Martin and Rue Aubry le Boucher and made arrangements for a safe house where insurgents could congregate after the riot.
The tocsin of the Saint-Merri Church rang eight or nine times before he thought to make his way back to his lodgings. It was as well as he did that. He had formulated a plan in his head of the best ways to attack and defend the barricades.
He had been hearing stories of workers who were struggling to feed their families, now that cholera was also waging a war on the city. He had heard these stories for the past few months, both from the workers and from Combeferre, and had tried to reassure some of his friends that they were fighting for a change and needed their support. It becomes hard when he seems families, each with a similar affliction of poverty, misery and hunger. Combeferre had talked of bodies of the dead piling in the hospital, going unclaimed in the morgue; they could not even remove them quick enough. Enjolras' thoughts were always turned towards the people, even more after the heartache of July Revolution.
Enjolras has a family, well he has a father, back in Puy, nestled in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region. Sometimes when he was in a mood, Enjolras could tell an amusing story about his grandfather who had lived a colourful life before settling as a bookseller-publisher after 93.
The business had been successful, the grandfather not only opened a printing press in his home town of Puy but travelled to Paris and with the help of an old friend set up shop in Paris. His uncle had no sons, and his only daughter was married to a man in a different trade who showed little interest in printing. Thus it was that Enjolras had been training as an apprentice since his teen years, having finally graduated from an apprentice journeyman to a journeyman despite the Le Chapelier law, which had banned many guilds and trade unions.
He had been talking to workers in different trades, tailors, joiners, masons, and others, to get a sense of how hard it was for them to form unions or mutual aid societies. Some mutual aid societies were emerging in secret, a few had been discovered and banned and arrests made. Some journeymen allowed to continue on their Tours without much resistance. It depended on how good a master you had. Enjolras shifted his printer's cap in his hands, that is not how it should be.
There was much to fight for still despite a lot of blood having been spilt over centuries fighting for greater rights for workers. He thought back to the Réveillon riots of 89, the dawn of liberty had to be delivered from the birth pangs that had gone on for too long, it was inevitable. It was also late, he sighed wistfully, looking at the clear sky. He felt a stirring of melancholy within him, Prouvaire often talked about that, the one that was the burden of poets and revolutionaries. I am not a poet, he told the sky, and smiled as he felt some raindrops on his face.
For himself, he had found the occupation of a printer-publisher of much use; a Master printer is always in communication with different sections of society, he could set the type (he laughed a little at his own joke) of the entirety of Paris, while also choosing to work against his own class, the petit bourgeoisie.
His uncle did know that he dealt in marrons and chose to not inquire too deeply about which books he was illegally smuggling because Enjolras was a willing and efficient worker. Enjolras had therefore at his ready use, a supply chain which was not just useful for smuggling books under the cloak, so to speak, but for all sorts of revolutionary materials, and which had been honed to a high degree to evade random police inspections.
It was unclear how the conversation had drifted to their own families. Courfeyrac had delivered the box of bullets and cartridges to Enjolras for safekeeping and it was sitting snuggly underneath the floorboards, hidden by the rug. Enjolras had positioned his chair near it.
Courfeyrac was attached to this box, it was his greatest piece of art, he ranked it even higher than a novel or two he had written while bored. His oldest brother had inherited the running of his father’s estate, his second brother had taken the cloth and become a priest, and here he was, the third brother, with his playthings and his mistresses, as his father would say. He did not mind being called frivolous in the least.
Bahorel was sitting opposite him taking up two chairs and striking his favourite pose, Feuilly ended up taking the chair in the middle. There was a thrill in the air, of things having been set into motion- the heat matched the tempers of Paris.
“I feel a thrill of happiness when the community around Saint Denis or Les Halles or Saint-Antoine know that they can turn to me or to any of us,” Feuilly said smiling. “And we may not always know where to turn to, but we find the help needed somehow or we work towards it together. We have made some strides towards the idea of unions, of workshops, of less hours, of children having more time to play and to get an education.” That I could not receive beyond a few classes, he added to himself.
“You have created an ever expanding family around you, my friend.” Enjolras squeezed Feuilly’s hand in his and Feuilly responded by placing his head on his shoulders. The wind from the open window swept through his hair and Enjolras rearranged it for him.
Feuilly looked back over his childhood, the years of uncertainty and longing for love, of living in a foundling hospital, of having the village school master beat him and other children, of being sent as an apprentice to do odd jobs at 12. At being taken in by a kindly fanmaker in Grenoble, and then being passed around to his cousin in Paris. His years were not entirely happy, but he was able to create temporary pockets of familial comfort. He had seen many childrens’ futures disappear under the yoke of labour and the prospect of earning a few sous to feed themselves, but for the kindness of strangers who had welcomed him, his might have followed suit. Tears had started rolling down his eyes, and he let them flow.
Enjolras softened and in the warm glow that the gas lamp threw on his face, looked at them both fondly, “I was going to wait until the others returned but, you, all of you are my family.” He took out his handkerchief, and wiped the tears from Feuilly’s face and then softly and tenderly he hugged him.
Bahorel tried to joke that he was an ardent Philadelphe– midway through the sentence, his voice broke down, choked with deep feelings of love for them both; for all of them, he declared to the entire room, his voice more of a howl than a shout of joy. For the others were always present here with them even when they were scattered around Paris and even if they scattered around the world or became busy in their lives, he would still carry them with him. He was a Romantic after all.
Feuilly had to brush a few odd tears that had strayed in his eyes again at this fresh declaration and outpouring of love from Bahorel. He may have adopted many of the communities as family, but his closest, dearest family were still the ones gathered here. Enjolras too was not immune to the romantic passions in service of revolution and friendship, he hugged them both. The door opened at that instance and Courfeyrac, Combeferre and Prouvaire walked in.
“What, no greeting at the door?” Courfeyrac asked, putting some more rifles and boxes down. Combeferre opened the trap door and hastily moved them all there. “We were waiting there for your usual greeting, aren't you afraid police spies might be trying to enter-” he broke off as he saw their faces full of happy tears and hugged them all.
“I came through a long circuitous route and made sure I wasn’t followed but the police rarely give a second glance to a bourgeois looking gentleman carrying arms,,”Courfeyrac said laughing, putting his hat down and sitting cross legged on the bed. He and others had trailed some mud across Enjolras’ floor, he grinned sheepishly. “I had stashed some arms away from the July Revolution and from my friends who are all into hunting parties.”
They all took their places on the chairs or on the rug on the floor and conversations flew back and forth cheerfully. They were confident and hopeful that they had reasonably managed to do as much preparation as they could in the time they had, which had been only a few days from Galois’ funeral to General Lamarque’s. A day or two’s preparation was all that was often given to prepare for riots in a city that was as much a lover of riots, as Paris was. A day or two was all that was sometimes needed if everything else went to plan.
They had set the powder kegs around the city, only a spark was needed, and Paris had assured them that it was ready for that spark, for that fire. They were talking about the future in high hopes, discussing how they all should take a few days to rest and remain underground once the riot ended, no matter what the outcome. They promised themselves not to burn themselves out, neither on literature (Prouvaire and Bahorel added a resounding ‘hear hear’) nor on political organising.
Everyone turned towards Enjolras, he was lost in thought, hope shining in his handsome face as he gazed quietly at the people around him and beamed. "I will try." he said, laughing and hiding his face. Combeferre squeezed his hand, the strains of Ça Ira broke out in the room.
Enjolras thought he might visit his father in Le Puy and take Combeferre and Courfeyrac with him, Bahorel and Prouvaire had made plans to visit Bahorel’s family in Lyon. The talk had moved to discussing all the various eccentricities of their own families or employers, uncles, aunts and cousins were also not spared, and in Bahorel’s case of the various farm animals too.
They echoed their feelings of mutual adoration towards each other several times, and why should they not? They had survived many years of riots, navigated many differences of opinion and still cherished each others' company and turned to each other for support.
One thing they kept coming back to and were heartily agreed upon, was that if they were not killed in these riots, they were not going to stop from trying to set the city alight to usher in the new dawn.

calling all arcana fans who cannot draw
I’ve been trying to make a reference sheet for aubrie (for eventual commissions) but I’m super artistically challenged, so it’s been a Struggle.
with that being said, I’ve found a few websites that might help those of you who want to envisage outfits!!
rollforfantasy outfit creator this is very basic, kind of a template of a few simple fantasy pieces but it can be good for a simple reference
kassie’s outfit maker this one is my favourite; a full body character creator with a whole host of customisable clothing pieces, colour options, all of which are fantasy/medieval
the character creator I didn’t have much luck with this one because it’s more focused toward modern styles, but I figured it might be some use to other people
hero forge this is a website that lets you make custom models (more dnd oriented) and so there aren’t really colour options, but there are a good few outfit choices & you can change the pose of the character (down to the position of the hands) which again could be super useful for commissions and pose references
here is the aubrie I made from the second one, for reference!! [edit: changed them bc I just now figured out you can remove the fangs]

Last up in our Halloween themed #employeespotlight series, but certainly not least, is Jacob! Reppin' hard for the Soap Distillery men out there, he loves crushing it from behind the scenes but I could not keep his awesomeness from you all. As our Production Assistant, he's been a true force assisting Aubry and myself in streamlining production and providing killer music choices. . . "Favorite thing about working here is learning a new trade. I've worked in woodshops, as a film projectionist, archivist and librarian, managed a bookstore, bartended, and the list goes on. Now I can add soap maker! My favorite chill out activity is probably building a good fire to gather around with friends. The fires have to be a little tamer in Chicago than they were back home in Georgia, but I make it work. I'm a huge horror movie fan so it's hard to pick any one movie I'm looking forward to the most. I pared-down my VHS collection to about 400 tapes from 1000, but I kept all my favorites. It's a tossup between "Invisible Strangler" (it's hilarious watching all these bad actors fake getting strangled by an invisible man), or "Death Bed: The Bed That Eats" (it's hilarious watching bad actors fake getting eaten by a bed). I'm a diehard Cubs fan, so my favorite costume was dressing up as Steve Bartman for Halloween in 2016. It was risky because if the Cubs went on to lose the World Series, it'd be my fault, but they won and I'd like to think I helped break the curse." . . And that's the whole team! Thanks to all of you for following along and meeting our team. They are truly an amazing bunch. 😍😍 And thanks to the team for playing along and letting me talk you all up :) https://www.instagram.com/p/CG5C4xLB1J1/?igshid=198x30diqz2dv

INDIAN TRADEMARK UPDATES
Snapdeal Joins International Trademark Association
Indian e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal has announced that it has become a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA). The INTA is a global not-for-profit advocacy association, comprising of 7,200 members across 187 countries, primarily, brand owners and professionals, which is dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation. The group works towards protecting and promoting the rights of trademark owners and supports efforts for the development of trademark law and appropriate legislation furthering this aim. “Snapdeal is committed to collaborating with the right stakeholders to address the issue of trademark counterfeiting. Snapdeal’s association with INTA will allow us to share industry insights and technical know-how in the global fight against those infringing intellectual property rights,” a Snapdeal spokesperson said. This follows Snapdeal’s efforts to counter trademark infringement on its site via its ‘Brand Shield’ and ‘Brand Registry’ programmes, which offer a single point of contact to report potentially infringing products, and allow sellers to register their brands on the Snapdeal, respectively.
INTERNATIONAL TRADEMARK UPDATES
Rubik’s Cube Owners Puzzled After Losing EU Trademark
Rubik’s Brand Ltd, the owner of the brand of the ubiquitous 3D puzzle, has lost its latest bid to regain its EU trademark over the shape of the Rubik’s Cube. While this trademark over the shape had been granted in 1999, the EU’s Intellectual Property Office cancelled the same in 2017. This decision had been based on the ruling of the European Court of Justice in a case brought by German toy maker Simba Toys GmbH, where it was held that EU trademark law did not allow the company to be granted a monopoly on technical solutions or functional characteristics of its product. Rubik’s Brand appealed that decision, moving the case to the EU General Court in Luxembourg, which, however, upheld the decision to pull the trademark. This ruling is appealable one more time. However, for now, this means that the 45-year-old puzzle’s shape alone is not sufficient to protect it from being copied.
Trademark Refused to Vegan Deli, Then Granted to Nestlé
Herbivorous Butcher, a vegan deli and specialty food shop in Minneapolis, is taking on Swiss food processing conglomerate Nestlé and the US Patent and Trademark Office over the trademark “The Vegan Butcher”. The deli, opened in 2016, sells vegan substitute meats and cheese, and has been using the phrase “Vegan Butcher” to market the same. In 2017, the owners, sister-and brother team Aubry and Kale Walch, applied for a trademark for the phrase, but their application was denied, with the USPTO holding that the phrase could not be registered as a trademark because it was “merely descriptive”. However, when Nestlé later applied for the same trademark, seeking to use it to market Sweet Earth Foods, a San Francisco maker of plant-based snacks and meals that it bought in 2017, the USPTO granted the same. Herbivorous Butcher is now challenging the registration of the trademark granted to Nestlé. The owners claim that they are seeking a decision that either allows them to continue using the phrase, or one that keeps the phrase in the public domain for free use in the growing plant-based foods marketplace, which is now worth almost $4.5 billion. The dispute, which began in June, could go on for another year, if a settlement between the parties isn’t reached.
BRAND LICENSING UPDATES
Sony Announces Global Licensing Program for Jumanji Franchise
The Consumer Products division of American entertainment company Sony Pictures has announced a global licensing and merchandising program for the upcoming fantasy adventure film Jumanji: The Next Level. Cartoon Network Enterprises, the global licensing and merchandising arm of the popular American television channel, has partnered with the pet company SilverPaw to create a range of pet products based on the animated science fiction sitcom Rick and Morty. FRANCHISING UPDATES
US Pizza Chain Pieology to Set Foot in China
California-based pizza chain Pieology has announced a franchising deal with a Shanghai-based firm led by a group of Stanford University alumni, TZG Partners, to expand its footprint to China. In what it terms as “a major strategic alliance”, Pieology will seek to leverage TZG’s business experience with building and investing in high-growth China-related businesses, in a bid to rapidly expand and establish itself in the Chinese market. The pizza chain has been growing domestically and internationally, with more than 130 restaurants in 22 US states and internationally. Pieology founder and chairman Carl Chang envisions Pieology becoming “a global destination for great fast casual pizza”.
DOMAIN NAME DISPUTE UPDATES
Walmart’s Vudu Claims Cybersquatting over Domain Name Registered Before Vudu Even Existed
Vudu, a streaming video subsidiary of American retail giant Walmart, filed a cybersquatting complaint against the owner of the domain name “vudo.com”. The problem, however, is that the owner had registered the domain name in 1995—nine years before Vudu was enough founded. Vudu’s complaint is ludicrous, and was held as such by the a World Intellectual Property Organization panel, because it is impossible to prove that the domain name owner had registered the domain name with the intent to target a brand that was, at the time, non-existent. The Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), a process established for resolution of domain name disputes, clearly requires that the trademark rights of a complainant must predate the registration of the domain name in dispute. The Panel held accordingly, saying that “at the time of registration the Respondent could not have been attacking a trademark that did not exist and was not in contemplation for years to come”.
The Brexit Party Locks Horns with Anti-Brexit Campaign Group over thebrexitparty.com
Led By Donkeys, an ant-Brexit campaign group, has sent offered to sell the domain name thebrexitparty.com, which it bought earlier this year, to Nigel Farage, the British politician who leads the Brexit Party. The group has claimed £1m for the domain name, with the selling price rising by £50,000 each day, which the group claims will be donated to an immigrant support charity. The Brexit Party has sent a legal letter to the group asking it to take down the Brexit Party logo from the site, which, according to the letter, and to transfer the domain name to the Party. While the logos have been removed, the group has refused to transfer the domain name, which it had initially bought to challenge Mr Farage’s party during the European Parliament elections in May.
GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATION UPDATES
Scottish Whisky Wins Battle Against Australian Drinks Maker
The Scotch Whisky Association, the trade organisation that represents the Scotch whisky industry, has won its case against D’Aquino Bros Pty Ltd, an Australian drinks maker that was selling a product labelled “Scotch”, but was actually made in Australia. The Association filed the suit after an investigation by the Australian Broadcasting Company, which found that Australian stores were selling fake imported spirits under the label of “Scotch”. Called ‘Black Scot’ and carrying a “Product of Scotland” claim, the spirit was analysed in an international laboratory and found to lack the “unique chemical compounds” that identify a true Scotch. The Association enforced its international geographical indication over the term “Scotch”, and the Federal Court in Melbourne ruled in its favour. D’Aquino Bros Pty Ltd, which had also been found to be selling Australian-brewed products labelled as ‘tequila’, a Mexican spirit also protected by geographical indication laws, has no ceased distribution and has gone into liquidation.

Survivor 34: Episode 9
[A] Jeff said: "Debbie got her way" and I audibly groaned. [S] Debbie is going to be insufferable now...just kidding, she has ALWAYS been insufferable.
[S] Oh the line drawn thing is back… STOP WITH THE DAMN LINE IN THE SAND METAPHOR!
[S] Oh hey another advantage. I genuinely hate the gimmick this season. [A] But Sparrow, it's game changers. ANYTHING GOES! [I cannot roll my eyes hard enough]
[A] The one person left out better be Cirie. She is useless in challenges. [S] Why would they not pick Michaela? [A] Cirie was a captain. That explains it. [S] Legit, give me one good reason to pick Cirie over Michaela...
[A] Hey you know who would have been good at this challenge and would have helped a team win? Ozzy.
[S] I feel like the cameraman is just trolling Michaela.
[A] But Debbie is a master at the balance beam. Why is she crawling?
[A] I cannot laugh hard enough at Cirie being unable to get on the platform.
[S] I think this is supposed to be a heartwarming moment, and maybe I'm just a jaded asshole, but mostly this feels awkward to me. [A] This feels awkward to me too. So either we are both jaded assholes (likely) or she is useless and this is stupid (also likely).
[S] Michaela gonna find the advantage?
[S] LAWL guess not.
[S] Did no one notice her swim over and grab the advantage? [A] Apparently no one saw that? Too much going on to notice Sarah swim over there and untie something.
[S] Season feels really preachy now...
[A] Cirie: "I'm not a challenge beast." Me: "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
[S] I Googled this, by the way. You have to pay to join the Civil Air Patrol. [A] Somehow I am not surprised that Debbie pays to have a job title.
[S] Again, WHY does Sierra feel like she's in the drivers seat? She hasn't been the decision maker in like...any votes? [A] Sierra likes to take credit for other people's actions. She's convinced that the vote for Michaela/Hali was all her idea (it was Brad's), the idea to split the votes was hers (it was Zeke's) and the ousting of Ozzy was all her doing (it was Debbie's).
[A] Let me guess, Cirie. You're going to propose an all-female alliance to take out the boys.
[S] "On my first season I sat back and took the easiest path, making no moves." THEN WHY ARE YOU ON GAME CHANGERS?!
[A] I love that Cirie is preaching to Sarah about how at final three they'd just say that "they carried you." Sarah LITERALLY carried you in a challenge. What makes you think YOU can win this?
[S] Odds someone spells immunity wrong?
[S] Sure, mock the non-native speaker for his spelling...
[A] I said it last week and I'll say it again, Andrea is a huge challenge threat. So far only Zeke has noticed that, but everyone brushed it off as Zeke-Andrea feuding.
[A] Good job, Troyzan. I totally forget that you're in this game.
[A] Oh NOW Sierra notes that Andrea needs to go home. She'll take credit for it too, even though it was Zeke's point.
[S] "I would love to vote out Michaela because she's annoying." Oh Debbie… [A] Michaela is highly annoying? Michaela? Are you sure about this, Debbie? No one else you can think of is more annoying? No one? Think hard. Perhaps look in a mirror.
[S] "I need Aubrey to think I'm her best friend." Do you act like a condescending asshat to your best friend? [A] Aubry's response to Debbie is the best.
[A] Question: if someone took Debbie to the final three with them, can you honestly think of anyone who'd vote for her?
[A] OMG her smug face at tribal. Someone punch her. Someone send her home. Please. All this cockiness. It would be glorious if she went home tonight.
[S] Debbie, shut up! Vote her out please.
[S] Looking like what? "Boo boo foo?" [A] "Boo Boo Foo" is short for "Boo Boo the Fool": means someone who looks stupid or someone who is dense/gullible (thank you, Urban Dictionary).
[A] Debbie, we've talked about this. You are not allowed to use political references because you don't actually know what they mean.
[S] Michaela is literally eating while he reads the votes...
[S] BEST! EPISODE! THIS! SEASON! [A] OMG YES.

Stonehenge is one of the mysterious places on Earth. At the age of 4,000 years, this is a set of stones placed in the oldest and surely the best preserved, one of the Mahapatra (ancient stone) structures on the earth, in the shape of dense rings on empty Salisbury grounds and horseshoe size. It is a magnificent structure with large 25 tons of mustard (a hard type sandstone) stones which reached from 18 miles away from the mine. Some of these stones also carry large lintels that connect with them. When these stones were There in ancient times, there was ring Of rock at the upper part and at Ground As well
who made this?
Six quick facts
On being manufactured: about 3100 BC, shapes and wood, first stones 2600 BC.
Best Stones: 50 Ton
Made from: Mustard Sandstone and Bluestone Rock
Design: Proper stones and head in a series of rich circles and horseshoe shapes.
Function: Unknown, but the researchers believe that it was used for formal and religious purposes.
Created: Without the written language to unknown people
Other: A design used for astronomical observation, including tropical observation. We almost do not know who made Stonehenge and why? In the 19th century, a popular theory was advanced that the Druids, who were present in Britain before the Roman conquest, made it as a temple. According to the latest Experiment, it's been found out that they were made 1000 years before. If Droids used Stonehenge for their celebrations, then they got a second place on the site. Despite this, Modern Druids claimed Stonehenge. An annual event occurs on the rocks ring during the establishment of the summer, which is one of Henge's celestial alignments. There is evidence that the activity on the Stonehenge site was done 11,000 years ago. It was not until about 3100 BC, however, after the present Stonehenge layout a circular bank appeared. At the same time, the pine posts were put in place. Stone is being erected in about 2100 BC, the first small little bluestone, then the stone of the stones, during this period some stones were raised, then later collapsed. Why did builders build, decompose and rebuild this separate site? It's hard to say Apparently he had no written language and no record was left. We can say about Stonehenge at one place on the basis of archaeological excavation. There is almost no "garbage". Many pieces of flint have been found, or the axles have been found, but many things that expect to be rejected on any human habitation, it asks the archaeologists to conclude that the Stonehenge was "the Holy Land", such as That a church as one scientist said that Stonehenge was a "clearly special place where you did not leave the litter." Circa 1500 BC In Stonehenge, there was a circular gap with a bank from the inside. There was a circle of 30 Sarasan stones inside the bank in which a tree was built. Nowadays standing in only 17 stones and some rentals are still in position. Within the ring, five "trillions" (two huge straight stones supporting one lintel) were arranged in a horse's cord. Outside the horse, outside the trench, the heeled stone, some 120 feet from the ring. Once in summer a year (the longest day of the year), the sun alignment will increase with the heel stone seen from the centre of the ring. There are also four "Station Stones" set in the rectangle outside the ring. Station stones can be used to predict the movement of the moon.
Ring of rock
Perhaps the strange thing about Stonehenge is that it is far away from being unique, although Stonehenge is the most intact and elaborate ring of stones, although there are more than a thousand stone remains of the remains throughout the British Isles and Northern France. Some of them were small, like the Kail Cross in Cowell Cork, which is just 9 feet in diameter. The largest, the Aubree comes on 28 acres of land and now what is a whole village. Some stones were 60 tons in the Aubree. How many miles did the makers make these big rocks? Their history of Britain's Kings of History in 1136 suggested that the voice of these huge stones was done through the magic of Merlin magic. More likely, however, the builders dragged them onto the wooden sledge and moved them. Before one can be transferred before what was done after a road was cleared from a thick forest, it is not an easy task in itself, especially for those people who were fighting for only the majority of their time and energy. The construction of both Aubri and Stonehenge will be done for many generations.
Coral Theory
How builders built this site, it is the attraction of why they make it. Archaeologist Clive Wedding has suggested that the first images, simple ditches with nearby piles, stock for cattle may have been enclosed. Copland, who is more than 800 years old from Stonehenge, fences and gates found in support, support his idea. Waddington thinks that during some seasons the animals were taken to the circle, the rituals were performed. As a matter of time, the functional aspects were removed from the chakras and they became purely religious structures. Most of the rings were smaller than the Aubree and were simpler than the Stonehenge. Although some of them were astronomical alignments created in their designs many were not. This suggests that their use as observatories could be a secondary task.
"The location of Healing"?
Some people suggested that This place Maybe was used of treatment of people or place of Medicine where Everything gets healed. The excavation of tombs in the area shows that the surviving serious illness or injury symptoms of the buried people are visible. The test also indicates that about half of those people were outside the Stonehenge area. Darwell said,
"People were in a state of crisis if I came to Stonehenge Memorial when I can keep it humbly".
It is also said that the bluestone of the monument was flaked off a large number of chips. Professor Wainwright said, "It may be that as a lucky amulet to make a piece of pieces in the order of throwing pieces of Bluestone pieces ..." Professors believe that this place can be similar to Lourdes Is the French brain, which has the ability to heal sick people. This evidence, however, did not deny the other uses of the Stonehenge, Darvill said, "It could have been a temple, as it was a medical centre," Darvill said. "Like Lourdes, for example, there is still a religious centre."
The domain of dead or British integration?
There is a large number of burial in the vicinity of Stonehenge and Chief Professor Mike Parker Pearson of Sheffield University has suggested that this is an area of the dead, while the Neolithic settlement was a common place to stay around. Recently, Professor Parker has challenged the idea that Stonehenge was created to unite different people on the British island. Pearson says,
"There was an increasing culture of islands - style similar to homes, pottery and other materials was used from Orkney to the South Coast."
"It was very different from previous years' regionalism."
Pearson also said that as a site in the form of Stonehenge, a large number of groups would require collaboration. "Stonehenge was a big undertaking, requiring thousands of people to move away from West Wales as stones, shaping and raising them. Only work, to take everything literally together It was necessary, the work of integration would be, "he explains. So was Stonehenge a coral, a religious centre, a place of treatment, or a symbol of British unity? Or was it all up? Scientists cannot be able to say this at any time. Stone Henge researcher Professor Richard Atkinson of the University College Once said:-
"You have to compromise for the fact that the big days of the big Areas that we do not know about ... "

Government rebates could protect Canada's auto industry from certain Trump tariffs
In this file photo, Ford and Lincoln vehicles are parked outside the Oakville Assembly Plant in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, November 6, 2016. Photo credit: Reuters TORONTO -- Canadian government customs provisions are expected to soften the blow on the country’s powerful automotive industry from retaliatory tariffs on U.S. steel, according to trade lawyers and industry leaders bracing for higher costs. Decades-old programs reduce or refund import duties on supplies like steel when companies in Canada can show the material is used in export products. They could protect the auto industry’s supply contracts covering raw materials and parts, which often cross borders several times before a vehicle is finished. While imposing tariffs against a long list of U.S. products this month, including everything from flat-rolled steel to playing cards and felt-tipped pens, Canada clarified that “duties relief” and “duty drawback” programs would be available to Canadian exporters. “That provision in the notice is overwhelmingly directed at the auto industry,” said Jesse Goldman, a trade lawyer at Borden Ladner Gervais. Without drawbacks, Goldman said, the Canadian retaliation would have “very significantly and very quickly” hurt the industry. Some 85 percent of vehicles built in Canada in 2016 were exported, meaning duty relief programs could refund roughly 85 percent of retaliatory tariffs paid by automakers. Canada has vowed to defend the steel and aluminum industries, but vehicle manufacturing employs some 136,000, according to Statistics Canada, whereas only about 22,000 work in the steel sector, giving the government an incentive to shelter vehicle and parts makers from rising costs. “These existing programs continue to be in place and any changes would be done in consultation with the relevant stakeholders,” Canada's finance department spokesman Jack Aubry said when asked whether the programs would continue. {{title}} {{abstract}} Read more > {{/content}} BIG OPERATORS Automakers with operations in Canada include General Motors, Ford Motor Co., Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Toyota Motor Corp., and Honda Motor Co., which assemble vehicles, as well as parts makers Magna International and Linamar Corp.. Linamar CEO Linda Hasenfratz said in an emailed statement the drawback programs are of particular benefit to her company, Canada’s second largest auto parts maker, since substantially all the steel that the company imports is later exported. Honda said it was still assessing the impact of the tariffs. GM, Fiat Chrysler and Magna declined to comment. Ford and Toyota did not respond to requests for comment. The Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association needs to do more analysis before commenting on whether drawbacks could protect his industry, President Mark Nantais said. “There are various options that could be used - that would be one of them,” he added. But any relief would be temporary if U.S. President Donald Trump imposes tariffs on Canadian-made vehicles after the administration’s Section 232 national security probe into autos wraps up. The rebate programs limit the impact of tariffs on raw materials, not finished products. Flavio Volpe, president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association, said some companies that make stainless steel parts or hardened steel tools in Canada could benefit. Volpe said just over half of Canadian-made auto parts are exported. John Boscariol, who leads McCarthy Tetrault’s international trade and investment law group, said access to the duty relief programs had not been a foregone conclusion before the government’s notice, because Canada’s retaliation is technically a “surtax,” not a normal duty. Some uncertainty remains as companies must apply individually for the refunds, and carefully document how imports are used, he added. “It introduces costs and complications, and it introduces a likelihood that you might not get that relief,” Boscariol said. “That’s not without cost.” http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/autonews/BreakingNews/~3/sfWqDq0UTZQ/trump-canada-tariffs-subsidies-auto-politics buy here pay here https://www.buyherepayherebirmingham.xyz/government-rebates-could-protect-canadas-auto-industry-from-certain-trump-tariffs/

Johnny Paycheck
youtube
Johnny Paycheck was one hell of country singer, an innovator of epic proportions and, at various times, a hit maker. His long and checkered career was full of classic performances and more than a few misadventures, but through it all he kept singing country better than most anyone else around. His given name was Donald Lytle, and few, in any others in the business had as tumultuous a life as he lived. He left home at 15, eventually joined the Navy got in trouble, faced a court martial and spent two years in the brig. It was just the beginning of a life filled with run ins with the law that, at times, would derail his career. After his release, he headed to Nashville, where he recorded under the name of Donny Young for Decca and Mercury. The records were good, but found no audience. Soon he was playing bass in the bands of other performers, including Porter Wagoner, Faron Young and Ray Price. He got fired a lot, his trigger temper and wandering ways getting in the way of steady work. He finally found a home in George Jones band The Jones Boys. In addition to playing bass, he also sang harmony, appearing on hits like “The Race is On” and “Things Have Gone to Pieces.” He finally had a hit of his own under his new moniker, Johnny Paycheck, in 1965 with “A-11.”
youtube
Soon after, he and Aubry Mayhew formed Little Darlin’ Records, where Johnny would have only limited commercial success, but made some of the best honky tonk music ever committed to tape. Since they didn’t have access to the best songs from the top writers, Mayhew and Paycheck went for a hard country sound that set them apart from the competiton with some of the most deliberately diabolic lyrics ever written. Framed by Lloyd Green’s winding steel guitar, Johnny recorded one dark tale after another: “Pardon Me, I’ve Got Someone to Kill”, “He’s in a Hurry to Get Home to My Wife”, “It’s a Mighty Thin Line Between Love and Hate” and “The Pint of No Return.” Then there is "You’ll Recover in Time", a song where the singer is in a mental institution, imagining his lost love has met the same fate. Paycheck even did a song about a mass murderer: “The Johnsons of Turkey Ridge.” The ploy kind of worked, the records charted but in the long run, none were big enough hits to sustain the label…..Little Darlin’ folded in 1970.
youtube
Billy Sherrill signed him to Epic in 1971, assigning his usual bomastic arrangements with innocuous love songs. Paycheck’s voice could handle any material, and the formula worked commercially. Johnny hit paydirt with “She’s All I Got”, “Someone to Give My Love To” and “Mr.Lovemaker.” While enjoying overdue financial success, his rough and rowdy ways continued to dominate his life. He was convicted of check forgery, was hit with a paternity suit, had tax problems and filed for bankruptcy. When the outlaw style hit country in the mid seventies, Johnny jumped at the chance to reorder his own music. After all, the back to basics sound was more to his liking anyway. With Sherrill still producing, Paycheck recorded some of the best music of the outlaw era: “11 Month and 29 Days”, “The Only Hell My Mama Ever Raised”, “Slide Off Your Satin Sheets” and “The Outlaws Prayer” were all stone cold classics. Of course, he also continued his sixties penchant for off the wall songs with “Colorado Cool Aid”, “Thanks to the Cat House (I’m in the Doghouse With You” and “D.O.A. (Drunk on Arrival).” It was during this period that he scored his biggest hit. “Take This Job and Shove It” became an instant working man’s anthem, a low budget movie was even made from the concept.
youtube
His new found success did nothing to calm his reckless spirit, and extended legal battle over an exchange on an airplane crippled his career again. In 1985 another conviction, for assault with a deadly weapon after a barroom altercation finally landed him an extended sentence, which he began serving in 1989. He did a concert while incarcerated with old pal Merle Haggard, and was paroled two years into his sentence. He returned to music on his release, but by then his years of hard living had diminished his strength. Emphysema and diabetes aided his demise….he died in 2003 at the age of 64. Interestingly enough, old partner Aubry Mayhew mused that it was during his stint with The Jones Boys, that Johnny had influenced the singing of George Jones. Mayhew pointed out that before the Paycheck days, Jones didn’t sing in his unique, vowel bending style, contending that he learned it from Johnny. Mayhew said that while Paycheck was seen as the imitator, he was really the inspiration for the Jones vocal style. This caused something of a stir at the time, especially since Jones had become such an icon in the genre. Whether true or not, it is certainly worth pointing out that for the incredible music he made, Johnny Paycheck never really received the credit he deserved. It’s also true that his unrepentant wild life did as much as anything to dampen his persona, musical and otherwise. At the end of the day, we have the records, which make a pretty good case for him. As I said at the top, Johnny Paycheck was a hell of a country singer.
