This maybe hard. It may bring our emotions, but this is needed! Just because you cut that person off does not mean you made peace with them. If the thought of them or the sound of their name still disrupts your soul, then you have not made peace with them. Think of what you need to obtain that peace. Here are a few suggestions: Write them a letter and give it to them, write them a letter and burn it or rip it up without giving it to them, stop running from the topic in counseling, journal how you really feel, apologize (maybe you were in the wrong), tell the truth about what really happened. Last but not least, FORGIVE YOURSELF!
