Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness Hello, I am Joe Evans. Many people have been asking why I am running for Congress in Idaho’s First District, the western portion of the state. I was an Army Ranger, Military Intelligence Analyst, and now I am a Veteran of 4 combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. My political platform is based on our declared Rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. I want to Bring Our Troops Home, I am pro-2nd Amendment, for limited Government and lower taxes, and justice reform to decriminalize victimless offences. Like most Idahoans, I believe less government interference and free market economy will create more opportunities and bring prosperity for us. Our Government cannot make us wealthy or happy. It is time to let freedom ring. Idaho is often ranked last in various socio-economic indicators, but it is first in freedom, creating an abundance of opportunity for all of us. People in Idaho respect each other and their difference of opinions. Idaho is a freedom-loving state. Idaho’s entrenched politicians talk about our liberties even as they trade our rights and earnings to crony corporations. Are we ready yet for a new crop of politicians this Fall? I advocate to Bring Our Troops Home from pointless and costly overseas deployments. I care about Justice and Liberty, and I am the only candidate for ending the War on Drugs and for Justice Reform in this Congressional race. Like most Idahoans, I believe that we all can benefit from smaller government and lower taxes. What happened last time you contacted your Congressman? did he go to work for you - or did you receive a form letter explaining the party line? Are you ready for somebody to actually represent you in Congress? I would be happy to hear from you and will listen to you compassionately. I will represent you and I am ready to work for you in Congress. Electing me would not only make Idaho first to send Libertarian to Congress, it will also make Idahoans direct beneficiaries of a robust economy. Crony capitalism has been hijacked by mega-corporations and destroyed Idaho’s small businesses and family farms. We have to de-legislate harmful government policies that manufacture scarcity and churn out poverty.
