if you're writing a fat character, at the very least make their clothes fit them properly. it always irks me seeing fat characters have their buttons straining on their default outfit, ESPECIALLY on a character that can afford new clothes / has enough money to get them tailored to themselves.

i'm begging you if you're trying to depict your only fat character as a glutton who can't stop eating and keeps busting out of their clothes; don't. fat people deserve to be characters firstly, not a gross caricature. please... please? fuck.

Would Elias be okay with a Yandere Darling? Someone who is just obsessed with him as he is with us? Like Darling/us stalks him basically all the time, knows where he lives, job, favorite place to eat, what shampoo he uses and fucking favorite underwear idk just crazy shit. They design clothes for him to wear while modeling but it's always sent anonymously with flowers and poems. And if they end up together Darling will threaten to kill anyone who dares try to get close to Elias. Even if it's looking at him a certain way, saying his outfit looks nice/hair or flirting, like they will kill just to keep his eyes on Darling. They love making clothes for him and dressing him up just for them to see and loving all over him, calling him "My pretty baby" while just kissing all over him. They don't care if he's boring, they love him no matter what.

This ask got me thinking, we've talked about a reader who's also obsessed with Elias before here and here but imagine just how utterly unserious it must be to be obsessed with this man.

And yes this will call out the Elias fans a bit as well but just think for a second. This man doesn't have a favorite color, doesn't have a favorite food or drink, no interest, no hobbies, just sits in his house most of the time and rarely goes to work and he isn't even the one who takes care of most of the actual work related stuff.

If you're stalking him legit the only interesting info you can get is what beauty products he uses and occasionally get angry over people falling in love with his looks. He doesn't even go on dates, there's literally nothing for you to start drama over.

If you hacked his phone in hopes of finding fun stuff you'd just be so disappointed because the only people in his contacts are his parents (whom he hasn't called in months) and his manager (whom he rejected most of the calls from). Most of his messages are just spam and ads, there are barely any pictures in his gallery (we are assuming you two aren't dating yet), hell there aren't even any games what the fuck does this man spend time on.

His phone wallpaper is the default one the phone came with and his screen time is probably 1 hour a day at most because he doesn't even have social media apps to spend time on. His manager takes care of his social media presence anyway so he doesn't feel the need to download them himself.

(This may explain why many virgo sun/rising male idols are into working out, health or self help books. Sungchans interested in all 3 btw😭) But these traits would probably amp up when he's with you, he wouldn't want to slack when it came to his looks or personhood when with you especially since he has so many placements hinting at wanting to seem his best for you. Would want nothing more but to feel appreciated and valued and would give the same to you. He'd help you with relatively anything even if he didn't know much about the task or topic. He'd also ask you a lot of questions (not as much as a virgo mercury would but..) he'd be very interested in quite literally anything you had going on and would try to relate and insert himself in the things you speak about due to his venus.

Cancer Moon: Cancer is at home when it's in the moon so most people with this placement can be very emotional. He'd have to become close to you before fully pursuing anything. Leo Venus: With his Venus in Leo he'd most definitely brag about you. Even if the relationship had to be kept under wraps he'd soft launch or hint at your existence to others whether it's through wearing something -you- bought him publicly or if staff asked about his week he'd say "I spent time with a REALL GOOD friend of mine". With his virgo sun paired with his leo venus he'd absolutely need praise, it wouldn't just be a want it'd be a NEED for him to hear you compliment+praise him especially on his talents. Honestly the proudness from his venus, the provider energy from his mars..his chart overall points to him just wanting to please/spoil you whilst also getting praise, recognition and attention in return. Luffy: Collects random bones he finds. He just thinks they're neat. They must be weirdly shaped and either perfectly intact or with an intriguing crack/break. Wouldn't think twice before showing someone what he's found. They aren't typically from any food because they end up getting devoured due to his ravinous hunger.

Zoro: Probably not surprising, but custom knives would catch his eye. He doesn't buy any but likes the craftsmanship and details that go into them. Wouldn't go out of his way to locate a store not like he'd find it but if he comes across one he'll go in and look.

Usopp: Goggles���he always has a pair and enjoys comparing qualities, designs, and styles. Since he's an artist, he knows how to tell the difference between the high and low quality ones. He's bought quite a few ranging in colors, sizes, and different bands and has unintentionally started collecting them.

Robin: Collects post cards for the sentimental value. She likes the idea of writing to a friend or family memeber who's far away and sharing things about her adventures with them. Would like to get one from each place they stop at but they'd need to be worth buying. She wouldn't buy one just for the sake of it.

Franky: Another one that's not surprising, but he makes a lot of miniature sculptures from scrap metal. Coming across it when they're out and about wouldn't be super hard, but then again, he's mostly interested in the quality of the metal. Aside from making weapons, he'd use the scraps to make gifts for his friends.

Not in a bad way, of course, more in amazement. He can't fathom how a human can even manage so many sports at the same time.

He can barely survive in PE class while you're out here participating in multiple sports related activities.

He can’t say that he doesn’t admire you for it, whether you do it as a hobby or because you want to be a professional athlete, he finds your drive part of your many amazing qualities.

Sometimes you even motivate him to become better at PE! Especially if you’re in the same class, he can’t be caught failing in front of his crush, can he?

If you participate in any competitions, tournaments, etc. expect him to show up to support you, occasionally he might be with one of the tweels to help cheer you on.

You could be in a basketball competition with a trio of tall (and scary) mermen sitting with the audience. Normally people would be intimidated by them since they’re the infamous Octavinelle trio, but seeing them happily cheer you on would be a sight for sore eyes.

He’d be the first to greet your after your game, congratulating and praising you whether you won or lost. He’d just be so supportive of you :)

Merfolk are generally stronger than regular humans since their muscles are trained for swimming, so seeing you accomplish things that merfolk can do as a human makes him curious about you.

I think he’d see you for the first time when he was attending one of Floyd’s basketball game, another game was playing before his and you were on the team.

He watched you play in order to pass time until Floyd’s game. Jade isn’t that interest in sports, preferring more peaceful activities like his mountain climbing, but something about watching you play piqued his interest.

He got lucky and you decided to stop by Monstro Lounge to relax, that’s when he got a chance to have a conversation with you, and the rest is history.

If you decide to establish your own sports club like how he established the mountain climbing club, he’d say that you two are matching now.

albedo ♡

you'd think that because albedo is an alchemist in the game, that i would put him down as a science teacher. not this time around he's not! i see albedo as an art teacher! even though it is only a hobby for him, i really like the image of him passing his admiration for art onto the kids he teaches. i think that his love for the subject would really show in his teaching and captivate his students. he would inspire them to be better artists and when they come to visit him years later, many would tell him that he was the reason why they wanted to be better at art. it always warms his heart to hear that he has influenced the next generation, and it makes him even happier seeing how much they have progressed throughout the years. he definitely keeps up with as many of his older students as he can, follows them on social media and scrolls through their work with pride.

i think that he would teach high school kids, specifically ages 14-16. when he was first getting started with teaching, he did grow a soft spot for grade school children, but with high schoolers, he's able to have conversations with people who have a more in-depth understanding of the world. when they all aren't busy, he likes to talk to them about things that are personal to everyone to understand their thoughts, opinions, feelings and ideas. this is one of many things that he loves about his job, learning more about his students. every individual that he teaches are so fascinating in their own way, and having the opportunity to get to know them all is something that he feels grateful for everyday.

i don't really see him having a special nickname for his students, probably just "students", "class", "kids", etc.

albedo isn't too strict of a teacher, he does have his rules and enforces them accordingly but he isn't uptight necessarily. he allows phones, food, drinks, earbuds/headphones etc in his class as long as they do not become a distraction, but if he notices that anyone isn't paying attention to the lesson because of these things, then he will ask for them to be put away.

a big pet peeve of albedo's is when students don't clean up after themselves. there is no reason for them not to, and he does not have the time to tidy their messes. it typically isn't much of an issue, as many of his kids are respectful of the space they take up and the time they have, but when it does happen, he cannot help but be annoyed.

albedo is very beloved by his pupils. he accommodates all of his students as best as he can, and he does his best to ensure that he is a safe space for his kiddos to come to him whenever they need anything. he is particularly adored by his fellow queer and neurodivergent folk, for they can relate to him at that level. he is happy that his efforts of creating a safe place for the young people that he teaches have paid off, especially for those who are like him. many have called him their favorite teacher because of his detailed teaching style and open-mindedness, and he humbly accepts the honor.

albedo never had an interest in social media until his students started to beg him to download some. he agreed begrudgingly and downloaded a few, and was very rarely active on them until those kids graduated. it was only not long after that he started to become more active. he never really posts, but he does interact with their content and keeps up with them to soak in the pride of their development.

yanfei ♡

yanfei being a government teacher makes the most sense to me. she is very passionate about law, so i feel like being able to pass on that knowledge as to how it all works is something that she would find really fulfilling and exciting.

once again, i see yanfei teaching high school kids, ages 14-16. maybe a little younger, but it's a strong maybe. i feel like she would get along really well with the kids and it would be really fun for her.

i can see yanfei calling her students "lovelies" or "lovely people". i think she really adores her students and wants to make them feel special, so that's how she refers to them outside of all of the basic stuff.

yanfei isn't much of a strict teacher either, she does allow phones, headphones/earbuds, snacks, drinks etc in her classroom as long as it is in moderation. she is a bit stricter than albedo, though, because when the students are working, they are working. no dilly-dallying or distractions, if she catches someone that is getting distracted or straight-up not doing their work, she will remind them to stay on task or to get on task if they aren't. she never sounds mean or anything, she just wants everyone to stay focused.

something that really grinds yanfei's gears is deliberate disobedience. when she asks a student to put something away, and they refuse or even start to speak to her disrespectfully, she will start to lose it. she's pretty good at keeping a level head, she won't yell or rarely fights with her students, but it really tips her over the edge when she asks one of her kiddos to do something kindly and they respond rudely. she didn't do anything to deserve that treatment, so why she receives it sometimes is something that she will never understand. it's something that she's learned to deal with as she has progressed in her career, and it doesn't happen too often, but when it does, it puts her very on-edge.

yanfei is very straightforward in her teaching style. once a lesson has started, it has started and it is uncommon for her to get distracted while she is teaching. a lot of her students like this because it means that they can get their work done swiftly and without any disturbances, and it fills her with pride to know that they are so dedicated to their studies.

just because yanfei likes for her and her kiddos to remain focused during their learning time doesn't mean that she is always so serious. she will converse with the students and laugh with them, and tries to surprise them with fun lessons so that they can stay engaged in what she's teaching them. she'll take selfies with them and follows them on social media, even make tiktoks with them when they are done with their work! while she does take her time on the clock seriously, that doesn't mean that she won't have any fun or bond with her students in the process.

music teacher yun jin. need i say more?

i feel like yun jin would teach grade school children. the thought of her singing with the kids and passing her love for music onto them just makes my heart feel all warm and happy eyfbuw.

yun jin calls her students "little ones", "lovelies", maybe other endearing terms. she uses "little ones" the most and it's adorable. her eyes show how much she loves and cares for her students whenever she looks at them.

yun jin is not a very strict teacher, some say that she spoils her students a little bit too much. she brings in snacks, candies, stickers, and makes her lessons as fun for the children as she can!!!! she believes that they deserve all of the rewards in the world for their accomplishments, and maybe she does overdo it sometimes, but that does not mean that she is a pushover. while she does find it difficult to tell her kids no, she knows that it is essential to the classroom environment, so she will be firm with her boundaries, much to the kids' dismay.

as much as she loves to let the kids have fun with all of the different instruments and wants them to be creative, she is still teaching grade school children who aren't always aware of their volume. they get excited, therefore they get loud, and while she is pretty used to it, sometimes all of the instruments being played at the same time with high-pitched screeching small people scratches the chalkboard of her brain. especially if she has asked them to quiet down multiple times, and they don't listen/get louder. her students respect her, so they do try to mind their volume when she asks, but there are days where they aren't as mindful of the noise they're making. there have been times where she has had to leave the room for a few minutes because of how overstimulating it could be, or told the kids to put the instruments away since they weren't adhering to her instruction.

yun jin is the type of teacher who is almost always smiling. she is cheerful around everyone in the workplace, especially around the little ones. doing what she does everyday makes her so happy that she cannot help herself! she adores the children that she teaches with everything that she is. they are all so unique, smart and kind, and she feels so lucky that she gets to help them expand their knowledge about something that is so important in the world.

sometimes, when she is alone in her classroom, she likes to blast rock and roll music. some of the staff have caught her jamming out to it, and to say that they were surprised is an understatement. yun jin is so well-known for enjoying opera that no one would expect her to enjoy rock and roll. i think it would be funnier if the students found out because they would be asking her all sorts of questions and she would just have to laugh it off.

zhongli ♡

this man is a history teacher. he has been alive for many years, therefore he is able to give an accurate, detailed description of history that he will be passing forward, and he can connect with younger generations to understand the modern world.

i don't have any specific ideas for what age group zhongli would teach, because honestly, i feel as though he would be happy teaching any age group. he is so interested to learn more about the world that has come to be that i feel as though it wouldn't matter much to him. no age group in particular really sticks out to me either.

zhongli wouldn't have any special nicknames for his students. just the normal stuff.

zhongli is similar to yanfei, but i imagine that he is a bit more strict than her. not to say that he's extremely hung-up on his rules, but he is very firm about them. he is never disrespectful when he is enforcing the boundaries within his classroom, but he does make it clear that he will not be so easily swayed. i imagine that he may be a bit more loose if he was teaching younger children, but he wouldn't tolerate any misbehavior.

this is a little sad and i don't know how much of a "pet peeve" it can be considered but i think that one of zhongli's pet peeves is when his class isn't listening to him. he knows that he has a tendency to go on long rambles that not everybody understands, but when he feels like his students are straight-up ignoring him, it makes him a little sad. he wants to be able to share his thoughts and stories with the younger people, but when he gets cast to the side like that, he can't help but feel a little down. he corrects himself and gets back to subject if he or any of the students can even remember what he was talking about to begin with, and he does apologize for it, but it still disheartens him.

zhongli is a very fun teacher, i think. he has been doing this for so long that he knows exactly how to keep the students engaged in what he teaches them, and he has also mentally noted every trick in the book that any student has ever used on him, so that if there is a repeat of an event, he knows what's going on and how to respond. he is always willing to try new things on behalf of his kiddos, and he is very open-minded. it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be able to listen to zhongli's stories, so many of his students tune in whenever he starts talking, for they are very interested in hearing about one of plenty tales that he has to tell. he is someone that everybody could learn from, if only to give him the chance.

if zhongli was teaching older children, they would be begging him to get a phone. he never had one before his students began to beg him, plus he figured that he would end up needing one anyways. he didn't use it much at first, but that changed with time. he soon got to using social media, and now does all sorts of fun things on there with his students. he finds it a bit difficult to keep up with the newer trends, but he does his best and his students love him for it.

Boss Finn Headcannons

Out of every citizen out there besides Sylvia, Boss Finn often hangs out with Corsac. Not only Boss Finn finds not only Corsac's electric aura steady and risky for such a brave face, but he's the only one who appreciates Corsac's naturalist jokes... As long as it's water-related.

They do share a common hatred and fear of Dolphins. Finn hates it when they chase him around like a toy, steal his jewelry and collection, or even whip him hard enough for a big groan. Corsac, on the other hand, knew that sharks aren't as vile as dolphins, who were the actual tormentors of the sea. They are unpredictable and can be aggressive even when Corsac thought they were gentle and quiet. Whenever people spot Dolphins, they to stare at awe; however, Corsac and Finn only glare.

Boss Finn likes to scare Mint. It's like a big brother and little sister thing, and Mint finds it annoying. When he scared her at Halloween, she wished she could have a real scythe and slice him down like sushi. Boss Finn thinks she looks like a small pufferfish by the way her cheeks puff up at him.

Boss Finn canonically lives in a seaside shack, but that's his "Land" home while his real bed is in a lovely cavern beneath it. It's not a total wreck, but it's not too fancy either. He has the shack there to store his collection, TV, his pictures, one of sylvia's robes that she left after watch TV with him and he loves it so much like a blankie.

Boss Finn has many siblings, like Luna and Mint; however, due to their lack of parental figures and shark behaviors, they went out in their separate ways. They do write each other letters about their lives, and those who didn't.. Were probably dead.

Boss Finn used to spy on humans when he's young. He observes their behaviors, their rich goals, their fancy interests, and anything to give him a boost to the top of the human food chain. When he became a member of the underworld, he observed criminals and cons' predatory tactics to do the same.

Despite being big with ego, Boss Finn is very self-conscious of losing. His old group remind him constantly that winning is everything, and if a big shark like him fail at one thing, he's washed out. After Sylvia made him realize his new path, Boss Finn isn't afraid of losing anymore.... Especially if he has to deal with a blocky, cunning negotiator like Quinn a lot.

Boss Finn has a good talent on everything, including Make-up. He loves to put them on for Halloween, maybe some for tests, and when he and Sylvia became a thing, he put some on her as a gift! She gives him back with lipstick markings around his face~

Boss Finn is the leading champion of his people's swimming competition. They have to race across various reefs, dangerous currents, and life-threatening monsters, and those who aren't competitors cheer for the winner. This is one of the only competitions Boss Finn wouldn't cheat because he's a natural.

The only thing about the competition is that it's just a three-yearly thing and not some regular event. That's why Finn wants to pursue a business he wants to make for himself daily.

Boss Finn is a magnet to the underwater ladies and gents. They leave him offerings, try to flirt with him, and even would kill each other for him. After he became Sylvia's BF, Boss Finn tries to negotiate a plan to lessen the potential murders and jealousy... And lessen the attraction from other shark men who kept their predatory eyes on his girl.

He got into the Itsy Bitsy Kaiju obsession when he spied on a couple of teens talking about the cards and their costs. Finn then went to a hobby shop, and while searching, he discovered a pack of cards that smelled different from the rest. After opening it, he discovered a very rare card and was so proud of it. He still kept it in his binder to this day and TCG became his thing.

Boss Finn always has his hair tied cuz it takes him a long time to get it combed without tangles, and it's easier for him to comb a hold of his hair without a single loose strange on his forehead. He also likes it when Sylvia smothers her face in his hair, commenting how soft it is. He does use the best quality of shampoo and conditioner.

Finally, Boss Finn really wants to break the cycle of how shark parents aren't there for their kids. Some of these are spoilers, so I'll answer what I can

- Yes. He will not only argue about it, he refuses to eat any other type of pizza. He also will only rectangle cut pizza. Medium Leo is ' less picky' , but Kid Leo is still only eating certain foods right now. ( I say 'picky' with quotes because I write Kid Leo as autistic because he's based largely on me as a kid and I think as he gets older he masks better and is better at ignoring certain sensory icks as well as his palate had changed and he is able to eat more :) )

- I think he would more often call for Splinter or CJ since he likes them the most. He is still iffy about his brothers. He accepts that they're his brothers, but they're not HIS brothers, ya know?

- he is both concerned and absolutely in love with Kid Leo. He would love to babysit this kid, but Kid Leo doesn't particularly care for him just because he doesn't know who he is and he's p suspicious of new people.

- he loves loves LOVES unicorns and he is not ashamed at all. He would gladly replace his ' clone bros' with unicorns if he could.

- Leo would love the lair games, though they'd have to modify them because he's so small and they don't want him to get hurt. Splinter is the only one that is like ' he'll be fine' if only because he's seen Leo pull worse stunts as a child and is pretty sure he's indestructible. Which is not true but Leo was always pretty good at hiding when he got hurt from Splinter.

Now for the L33 stuff:

- so, Donnie created L33 in the hopes that Leo's spirit would eventually inhabit the robot. He originally just made an AI, but when that wasn't working properly he just hoped to see his brother again. They still aren't sure if the AI kicked in or if Leo's spirit inhabits the robot :/

- spoilers, BUT if Leo's spirit is in the robot he would be able to. In theory.

- yes! He doesn't have set hobbies or anything, but has spent the last 5-ish years roaming and exploring. He's very interested in 'human things'. Sort of like Wall-E :) he does have one hobby that is distinctly something he enjoys, but that's also a spoiler.

- it's more like his life ' started' 5 years prior to when the story takes place. He woke up with no memories of his name or anything and sort of just put stuff together with context clues. He knows his name is L33 because its written on him, and he knows the bandanas on his swords are important for some reason. He knows he's looking for something. Trying to access memories before waking up is impossible for him, because there's simply nothing to access.

- he's about as strong as the real Leo, but probably more flexible. His shell has plates so he's able to bend a little more, and Donnie made his joints similar to a ball-jointed doll's so he can extend his limbs a little further.

- nothing special! Donnie wanted to make him as close to the real Leo as possible. He does have special clawed feet/hands for better climbing and tearing into stuff ig, but Donnie added those specifically because of the difficult terrain. The printer was originally added only for maintenance/diagnostics reasons, but also just in case L33 needed to communicate without using his hands.

- just the one! Donnie didn't really make him for ear or for the advantages a robot might have, he just missed his twin :/ he had also planned on making a Raph-bot at one point, but after L33 went missing ( Donnie and the others assuming he had 'died' somehow) it was too painful to make/lose another brother for a second time. Not to mention at that point finding materials to do so would have been too difficult.

Basically the thought process for Donnie was ' I'm gonna make this robot to be my brother cause I miss him and this is my coping mechanism and idk maybe he'll be an asset too but that's not the point'.

Since Blaze & Marine have very on-the-nose names based on their powers I wanted a similar kind of name for her. So I thought of a bunch of earth-related names that I thought were cute, Quake I was on the fence about but after talking with some friends (shout-out to the bumblekast server) who liked it I started warming up to it too.

Anything Lychee flavored. Tropical fruits are always a hit in general. Never eats meat.

A traveling oracle, she can pick up vibes and premonitions from certain gemstones or rock formations. People seek out her help for advice or if there’s land that needs excavating

At her core Quake is just a big rock nerd. She likes learning and going to museums if there's any kind of exhibit about geology

I could be cheesy and say when she made friends with Blaze & Marine, but other than that she's always traveling she doesn't usually spend time with other people on her birthday or holidays - but one time a town she was staying at found out and threw her a small surprise party and she still cries when she thinks about it.

Sometimes picking up & and experiencing the memories of an old rock aren't always pretty. She doesn't like to talk about them.

I like powerhouse ladies and I like plus-sized representation in my favorite media, Blaze currently doesn’t have that in the Sol dimension so I took that as a challenge to see if I could make one. Sega also (currently) isn’t really keen on large mammal designs like elephants or horses, so I wanted to see if I could make a large hooved animal fit into the Sonic template.

I picture her fitting right into a kung-fu movie, as either a wise mentor or the hero's traveling companion, or even a mini boss depending on the situation.

She would hope she fit right into a cozy slice of life drama or a hallmark movie though, but she has too much of a fantasy character presence

Absolutely not. Even if there was a dire situation where death seems like the only way out, I’ve seen enough magical girl baloney to know there’s always another way. Blaze & Marine would snap her out of that “I have to end myself here to save everyone” mentality, but that's the only kind of scenario where I'd even think about that.

the sheer amount of sugar anyone from novaturient consumes is just Debilitating, knighthood corp has done a very good job at making processed food look appetizing and seem healthy (allows for shorter bursts of energy) and there is just so much sugar. in everything.

there aren't any unique laws in the sea of novaturi but its so damp/humid that paper and Most technology is virtually useless so instead they tattoo maps and the behavior of vagabonds on each others' bodies

of course some of this info gets transcribed on land, but most sailors die to vagabonds before they reach the shores

the sea and islands is the only thing that really wasn't affected by the new regulations on vagabonds. most people prefer to stay on the mainland

the moons' gravity is much stronger (bc you got two moons) so the waves are also similarly stronger

they can also be controlled by tuning forks but unless you have a resonance that's stronger than TWO MOONS the effect will be small

remember when i said its too spoilery. i lied here you go a crumb of horsemen lore

one of the major turning points in apocalypse equos is death and conquest going on a little detective quest together, trying to figure out the best get rich quick schemes w/ some illegal magical girls since they’re just that willing to save war and famine (i still need to figure out which magical girls are featured here? bc a lot of the cast are just shared between ae and po)

also! every few chapters or so gets shifted and they rotate death like a blunt (incomprehensible)

their childhoods were very lonely.

war was a kid in the fostercare system that never got formerly adopted (their last name was from their last foster home but they don't care about them even remotely, and they joined the military shortly after just to feel somewhat free)

conquest's parents were burned at the stake in front of him for being vagabond sympathizers (there was a big period of time when vagabonds were severely fear mongered about), and she joined the military to get support on scholarships

famine was in the hospital most of the time and had a handler since their parents were busy

death's parents died in a car crash and she used to grave rob to get by.

Peter's Room ;

I'm not so much gonna talk about symbolism ( yes, I understand thematically why the telescope is covered, yada yada yada, etc ) but instead his interests and stuff he likes/his habits as a character so that I can get a better understanding of him as a person. Under a read more 'cause I feel this is gonna get long!

Firstly, he's a bit of a messy dude, but the mess is all superficial and is not dirt. It's clutter. There's no leftover food or grime. Clothes he hasn't bothered to put in the laundry basket; jackets hung haphazardly around the room rather than hanging them up in the closet; his work spaces being chaotic; his bed sheets being disorganised. That kind of thing.

He also has a lot of lamps dotted around the room as opposed to one overhead light. I'm not actually sure what this is meant to suggest. Perhaps he just prefers the ambience of lamps lmao. Nevertheless, I find it interesting that it's so apparent in most shots.

He also has a LOT of spare blankets on his bed! I've counted up to three at a time in one shot, though the entirety of his bed is not visible so there could even be a couple more. I could absolutely be reading into this too deep, but to me, it seems they're trying to convey the theme of regression, which Peter goes through while dealing with his PTSD from Charlie's death ( his other ""childish"" behaviours include crying and, in the scene where Joan attempts to 'expel him' from his body, drinking milk, which is often associated with babies ). Could also be hinting at the fact that a lot of Peter's sense of comfort comes from external sources. He can't rely on his family to make him feel safe, the same way he can't rely on himself to open up and be honest about the way he's feeling in order to attain the understanding/empathy that he seeks.

                              And now onto specific items I can find:

Telescope: Points to an interest in astronomy, or at the very least things like constellations. This could also be why he sleeps with the curtains open. There is of course the explanation that it's to keep an eye on Charlie from his bedroom but I honestly don't think so. In several shots, Peter is shown to be able to see the treehouse fine from his bed, nevermind his window; he has no real need for a lens. His jacket being hung over it could mean it was a past hobby, but I honestly don't think so as in the scene where he's smoking in his room, the telescope is out and directed at the window.

Sport: There's a basketball hoop hooked onto his door and a pair of dartboards beneath it. I could be wrong about this as the picture isn't particularly clear, but there also appear to be baseball caps hung up a little ways away from his bed, almost like collectibles. Granted, the former items look like things you'd get when you're a child, plastic and small, but he's a young man now and still held onto them— probably because they reflect his interests despite him outgrowing the toys themselves.

Record player: Peter appears to have an appreciation for music, considering records aren't really from his 'time'. Like I know vinyl is still a thing and whatnot but it's commonly associated with hipsters and people trying hard to be cool. However, the next thing I'm gonna talk about suggests that he really does just care about music/the quality of what he's listening to because...

Musical instruments/apparatus: Peter has several music related things in his bedroom. For starters, there's the keyboard propped up against his wardrobe. It's also revealed in the scene where his dad says goodnight to him that he also owns a guitar. There's also what appears to be an amp tucked under the table there. This goes in line with my whole 'he becomes a live performer in the future'. And what look like speakers too. Seems he's very music focused as an individual. It's also worth noting that if you look at the first two screenshots provided as reference for Peter's room, the keyboard is in a different position; the second is on the night whereas the first is in the morning, meaning he used it that day. It's an active interest and something he, presumably, finds fun.

TV: Quick little thing that the script makes note of the fact that Peter is watching 'an old cartoon'. This makes me think that he likes animated stuff and gravitates towards that style of media. Not that he doesn't like live action at all, but he definitely seems more drawn to art, given the kind of hobbies he has.

Desk: Given the state of his desk, it's safe to assume he actually does study. Not only is it covered in books, folders and papers, he has an up-to-date corkboard and uses post-it notes to set himself school-related reminders. Also, in the zoom in of his computer, though he's looking at Bridget's pictures in the foreground, he's also reading up on careers in another tab. Alex himself also described Peter as someone who 'smokes so much weed in order to stabilise himself enough to do what he needs to do', going on to say that what he felt he needed to do was get out of his traumatic household. This shows his commitment to doing that, even if he's also grappling with addiction and trauma.

Books: Peter seems to own books that have nothing to do with schoolwork, hinting that he likes to read outside of that. He has a few in the underneath-shelf of his bedside table, and a lot packed in the cabinet on the opposite end of his room ( we never get a clear shot of this like we do Charlie's, unfortunately, so I can't really see what any of them are specifically save for the ones on his desk, which I'm sure are more to do with school ).

A BROTP I have with said character: Mei Fan/Rui!! they can bond and relate over gender things and how they're like opposite in that way (Rui being transfemme and Mei Fan being transmasc), their different styles of fighting in acting, and their extreme attachments and idolization for their senpais/partners. I'm so serious when I say Mei Fan/Chitose, they'd love to embarrass Yachiyo together and bond over both wanting the best for her. he would be Chitose's first friend outside of Yachiyo (and Shiori?), and that would mean a lot to both of them. I love how Mei Fan and Shizuha interact in the stage plays too which makes me think he would get along with Frontier very easily, and then of course, it goes without saying but Mei Fan & the Edels as an entirety! they're all best friends and family to me, yes even Fumi. (looks at you with goopy-eyes)

just like Ichie, Mei Fan is another character I see getting along so well with almost everyone it's hard to narrow it down! it's canon that he is the "easiest Edel to talk to" according to siegfeld students, so take that however you like!

A NOTP I have with said character: like all of them, nothing gross or weird (obviously!), I also wouldn't prefer Mei Fan/Shiori, they're more like family to me and I also am both of them so it feels so weird. maybe Mei Fan/Fumi, Mei Fan/Michiru? shrug.

A random headcanon: Mei Fan loves to help out the Juniors with Shiori and Yachiyo, and has taken Kuina under his wing! all of the edels have their "assigned junior" in my brain. Akira was actually Mei Fan's gay awakening, she wasn't just an inspiration to enroll in Siegfeld to further pursue acting. Mei Fan is very autistic, has a lot of vocal stims, and gacha games/toy capsules are more than just a hobby, it's a special interest! whenever he gets duplicates he shares them with Yachiyo, Shiori, or anybody else he's close to. the plush keychains on his uniform are comfort items and he gets really nervous when they're not around. and that's why the textures of certain foods make him really uncomfortable! and i'll do one more for now, he would definitely especially at the start of everything before getting closer to everyone, sprinkle in really impressive big words to try fitting into the prestigious vibe of the school and to showcase his growing fluency in learning japanese. which would make some conversations awkward (endearingly) and make michiru very annoyed LMAO

General Opinion over said character: i don't want to make the same joke twice but it's embarrassing that tamao tomoe and liu mei fan are my two highest kins from revue starlight. what does that say about me. asking for a friend. but no fr!! i wish mei fan got more love out of the edels; mei fan and michiru seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to siegfeld specifically and it's sad! they all are wonderful and deserve the attention, and i'm totally on board with akira and yachiyo being the most popular (as fan club president...) but i've noticed they don't make a lot of mei fan cards compared to the others, there are a lot of roles he's played that aren't in the game (romeo, white rabbit, sun wukong, a dragon, etc) but I hope to see Sun Wukong for the birthday!! coming up very soon!! long rambling aside, mei fan is so silly. perhaps the silliest and i think it's really nice that you sent this in for me to answer! <3

He developed a taste for chili a while back. More accurately, he thought he did and then he had chili that didn't come from Lin and was disappointed. His favorite chili is hers by far.

Bilgerat used to try to stay clean. Presentable-like. He gave up on that, leans into it instead. He's absolutely still very defensive about this aspect of his design but it bothers him less if he doesn't try or set the precedent. Can’t fail that way.

Jenelope knows she’s not a social butterfly like Winn or his partners or her wife. Even Craigory’s flourished under a wide network of friends. Jenny’s always been more to herself. That’s her nature, but still. Doubt can persist.

She hasn't really come up in Toonkind but Jenelope has a wife! Pennifer Nidalap. The portmanteau name is pure coincidence, promise they aren't related. Jenny's far more of a homebody herself but Pennifer is an active adventurer out slaying undead abominations and regaling her tales of glory in taverns and also extolling her wife.

Fun fact that similarly has not come up but IS hilarious- guild wizard leader Minerva Caine is a past flame. Craigory and Minerva both prefer to ignore this as best they can. They got MARRIED at one point, can you BELIEVE that? There was a ring and everything! Craigory was 16 and hated everything about it. Jenny threw out the ring. Minerva kept hers.

they kinda suck at cooking. the only things edible they can do are grilled cheese. one pot chicken alfredo and guac. oh and breakfast. they can make a kick ass breakfast curtesy of being the one to feed themself during the the week and waking up early enough to cook with their grandmother on the weekends.

they picked up gardening from their grandmother, though their thumb flip flops between black and green. they've yet to figure out why sometimes things grow well and others not so much. but you can catch them singing or talking to the stuff in their grans garden every now and then. it's really the only time you'll hear them sing honestly.

given their general chaotic energy, you'd think they'd love karaoke. wrong. it's one of the few things they're adamant about not doing for reasons they'll duck admitting.

may or may not have grown pot in their grandmother's garden. it's one of the few plants they know how to take care of.

loves to travel and will impulsively take road trips solo or after kidnapping a friend. given their class and work schedule, it's usually only on major breaks these days. but sometimes you just gotta play hooky and drive.

is a bit, a lot, of a romantic. they like going on dates and being all cutesy and shit. they're not afraid to get mushy/vulnerable but to be perfectly honest, they use their 'extraness' to mask things sometimes. not just romantically, but in general. think pay no attention to the man behind the curtain vibes.

loves writing and participated in their high school paper. just joined the college one. mostly does it for fun. they know they're good, but would rather make a career out of designing papers/magazines/etc than writing for them.

is essentially a child, so kids love them. most animals do not. the number of animal related injuries they've sustained during their life time is obscene.

may or may not be writing and illustrating children's books that will never see the light of day.

tends to gossip, but isn't afraid to say things to people's faces about it either. they aren't known for their tact, which, fine. they get plenty of ammo for click bait getting under people's skin.

likely has had a crush on you at some point and if not has at least thought about what you'd look like naked.

prefers women, cis or trans. also, trans-men. basically anyone that isn't cis-male is a go. that crew had their moment in the sun, very very very briefly before they realized that nope. not that interested.

favorite color is forest green. baked good is oatmeal raisin cookies or pinaaple upside down cake. accessories are earrings. crystal is fluorite.

again, they aren't afraid to feel their feelings but they know that isn't everyone's bag. so when they're particularly 'down' they tend to just kinda, fall off the face of the planet. not particularly great for their gpa, but eh. better to take the time to feel it and or wallow in it a bit than not.

those out of the timeline moments, as they affectionately call it, is when they tend to do the most reading/writing.

I think that it's quiet interesting. But I'd like to add that getting interests from other people doesn't mean that it isn't the real you or that you don't truly like those things.

I'd explain with my own experience (it may not be as thoughtful as I'm at my job and ppl are being quiet 'pushy' today)

I am a neurodivergent person, and I think that Papyus is, too (ND monster, I mean) . When I was young I related a lot to him and I was over heels for my boi.

So, when I see these theories I tend to sometimes see some of myself in Papyrus, wich could psychologically explain my interest for him.

For example, right here with this post:

Papyrus seems to get his interests from others, right? Well, I do that, too. Sometimes is either for positive reinforcement or just wanting to fit in.

My favorite shows, games and hobbies have came from someone else, usually my older sister (ex. My sister likes art, I started to like art bc of her. My sister was playing UT and I decided to stuck with her and I loved the game. That and many other things)

Most of them were when I was younger, but now days I don't have another interest that differes from such.

I wanted to look cool to my sis, I wanted to spend time with my siblings, I wanted to make friends so I just followed and learnt about what they seem to do or like. If I don't I just don't get friends at all (most of my stronger friendships started bc we shared an interest, lol)

Also, when Papyrus gets asked what his fav food is, he doesn't know. I used to not know either(btw it's spaghetti, bc I liked Papyrus and he likes it and I like to eat it so i decided it was a great fit. Specially since it made me more Papyrus-y) , becuase I don't introspect at all, I'm "too busy" (Papyrus says he is too busy to even sleep)

So, I go through life based on goals (such as success, good grades in school in my case, being a Royal Guard for Papyrus) and spend my day focusing on my interests instead of self-care.

If people are perseptive they may know what you like even if you don't say so, based on what you're driven into and other stuff (Sans probably does that to get Papyrus' gifts, furniture, etc). It's like if others knew me better, others should tell what I like and what I don't. Perhaps it comes from the fear to be alone.

So, Papyrus wants to fit in, wants to look cool, doesn't know himself bc he rather go doing stuff than thinking stuff (this may come from insecurities, depression and other things. It's scary to look deep into oneself)

That may be the origin of what he is into, but it doesn't mean those things aren't truly of his like or special to him.

-He likes to cook spaghetti because every else loves it. So he wants to make others happy AND spend time with his BFF, Undyne (he prob thinks he'll mae more friends that way, too)

-He likes puzzles, that one seems from his own (or from the underground's norm. Being too rigid about norms is another thing we seem to share). And him saying that they're awful doesn't mean that he doesn't like them, he's being "objective" (yep, I do that, too. I don't like to be blinded by my preferences so I can tell it's pros and cons, admit if they are cringe and so on). If anything, it proves that he likes them so much that he doesn't care that they are awful.

-With his figures and race car, well, they were given to him by Sans, who IS very perseptive. Sans prob sees that he'd may be into those thing by hearing him talk, glance at things and o the stuff, he puts attention to Papyrus, and as Papyrus seems to really like the gifts (if Sans doesn't read to him the advanced puzzle or Fluffy bunny he'll get cranky, he dreams about having a car, he puts his figures on a table so they can be seen, they pretty much do a lot together, like Papyrus' battle body/costume, and so on)

He likes all those things genuinely, no matter if they came from someone else. He treasures something in those activities and stuff, and even seems to get into them deeper than others (omg, another thing we have in common. I get even more into things than the ppl I got them from)

Being influenced is not a bad thing, liking what gets you close to others shows that you cherish them and they moments you spent together.

Tho Papyus DOES have more to him than we know, I wouldn't call him a lier (according to certain theories), if anything he is insecure and ND, and if he is actually hiding some important plot stuff he must likely doesn't have a bad intention to do so or maybe would come out with something like "I didn't tell you because you didn't ask" (he is like me, fr)

Another thing is that ppl say that he lies a lot to Sans, but I don't think that's the case, it's just REALLY hard to know when they are joking or not.

TL;DR

Papyrus seems genuinely interested into those things, he just gets influenced by others and lacks introspection. Doesn't really need to straight out say what he likes bc it shows with behavior (you have to put attention to ppl like him to notice what he likes)

He may be hiding something (bc he really is smart and clever) but not with bad intentions/on purpose.

(If he turned out to be an actual lier I'd be broken)

And sorry if this is boring, messy, badly written and makes no sense. I am tired, at work, and wrote it with lots of interruptions and with no food in my stomach.

Alright, so you know how it’s widely believed that Sans is “The Judge”? How whenever he faces you in the judgement hall on a neutral run he talks about what you’ve done, who you’ve hurt, etc etc. while on a geno run, he’ll call you out on how many times you’ve faced him before? Well, I have a theory. Let’s say Sans is the judge, and this gives him the special ability to see beyond a check: your LV, your “sins”, how corrupted your soul has become. What if Papyrus can, too? Except...what if he can also see that Frisk is a puppet to the player?

He’s the only character to speak without an asterisk, he somehow seems to be able to see whatever room you’re in whenever you’re on the phone, he regularly looks directly at the player when talking to Frisk, and he’s the only character to give you game control based instructions (like “press the down arrow to do x”). Outside of gameplay, aka a couple of trailers and if you hack the game, Sans /also/ breaks the fourth wall, but not like Papyrus does, and only once in game (I believe) when he tells a bad joke and looks to the player as it zooms in on him winking.

So, what if the reason Papyrus won’t hurt you, is because he doesn’t just see the things Sans sees, but he sees beyond “your” stats, and sees Frisk’s? And if he knows about the resets, there’s no *reason* to hurt them. No matter how bad it gets. And maybe, this extends to Flowey. He could see that Flowey was actually Asriel, or what was left of him, and wanted to be a good influence, and help him learn abusing resets and treating the others like disposable garbage wasn’t the right way. And maybe, at some point, tried to convince him using his own abilities. Or maybe Flowey even crossed a line, and Papyrus had to set him straight. Or maybe he was even hoping to give him something to amuse him, and bide his time. No one knows. No one, except Toby.

But whatever it is, there is very clearly *something* unique about Papyrus. His text shakes, the asterisk thing, the player’s view thing, and he’s the only character you never *really* learn anything about.

Toriel? Ex queen, loves pie, loves reading, wants to be a teacher, loved her kids, was disgusted by Asgores cowardice

Sans? Loves science and astronomy, used to know Alphys, has a whole lab under their house with blue prints for the Gaster blasters with Wingdings writing on them and a mysterious machine, made some sort of mistake or something in the past that leads to him saying stuff like “you’ll never see them again” and “you can’t go back” to himself.

Alphys? Loves anime, building robots and machines, decent at puzzles, writes fan fiction, has social anxiety and a perpetual fear of disappointing others.

Undyne? *Also* loves anime, fighting, action stuff, is close with Asgore, likes tea and hot chocolate, hates cold food, is bad at making spaghetti.

Mettaton? Actually had a lot of self worth issues, is Napstablooks cousin, loves showmanship, doesn’t like puzzles, talks a lot of shit but actually cares for the monsters of the underground, and is close with Alphys.

Asgore? Loves tea, dresses up at Santa Claus and visits Snowdin for Gyftmas, loves flowers and gardening, doesn’t really understand puns, loved his kids (maybe one more than the other but I’m not addressing that right now).

Papyrus? Well, he likes spaghetti, right??? Nope, got that from Undyne, since she started giving him cooking lessons to keep him out of the guard. He most likely also picked up the hero schtick, as well as referring to himself in the third person, from her, too. Well, he likes puzzles right? He deliberately calls them useless or stupid or something at one point, and at another, mentions deadly spikes being a pillar of youth, implying it’s just what he knows to do. Ok, well, what about the race car bed? The action figures? Sans reads car magazines, and he probably started getting Papyrus action figures when he was younger, since that’s a pretty standard gift for a kid (and Papyrus isn’t very forthcoming with his own interests. Maybe he doesn’t have any). Okay, well he at least hates Grillby’s and greasy food! Yep, you got me there. Oh! But wait!! Upon Undyne getting excited about it, he changes his tune pretty quickly. So yeah, he does actually hate greasy food, but he’ll change his opinion on a dime if he thinks he’s supposed to. The only thing we *actually* know about Papyrus is that...he takes care of Sans. And lies a lot. And he’s good at painting, since he painted a rock face to look like a hyper realistic bridge. But that’s....about it. Oh, and his puzzles are unusually dangerous. So. He’s good at being dangerous and painting and he takes care of his brother, while simultaneously letting his brother take care of him. And that’s, quite literally, all we know about Papyrus. Oh, and his favorite food is the oatmeal with the dinosaur eggs, which the only person to know this was.....Flowey. Weird, huh?

Bonetrousle is used in most if not every Undertale trailer, and the two most unique characters in game, Flowey and the Annoying dog (Toby), have very special interest in him. He’s an odd job and a half, that Papyrus Undertale.
