Welcome to Sims 4 Romance Reef Challenge!
——————————————————————————
If you struggle to stay focused on legacy challenges or any grind-heavy tasks, this challenge is perfect for you. The aim here is to create drama and have fun!
This challenge is inspired by the TV show “Love Island” but with a twist and you do not have to have seen Love Island to enjoy this challenge. However, if you're curious, I recommend watching the Australian or UK versions, as they tend to be funnier and more unfiltered than the American one.
Thank you to the EA Creator Network for giving me early access to create content for you.
——————————————————————————
Download the Notion Template on My Patreon
I've created a Patreon for those interested in downloading the Notion template to keep track of all your islanders and progress. Notion is an online organization tool with a Pinterest-like aesthetic. My template provides a layout of the rules and space to detail each Islander. It's not necessary, but it's here if you want it.
For fans of my throwback save file, I will also be re-uploading the save there as it’s more reliable than Sims Share. Thank you for your support over the years on my YouTube channel and other socials. I hope you all enjoy the challenge!
Villa Video Update: If you aren't a builder Don't worry because I will update this post when I upload my speed build of my own villa for you to use. In that video I will also talk about the challenge rules. In the meantime, feel free to build your own or use the gallery to update a villa.
——————————————————————————
Initial Islanders: 4 female Sims and 4 male Sims ready to be placed in the villa. They can have any traits, likes, dislikes, turn-ons, and turn-offs, but no skills to keep it fair.
Bombshells: An extra 2 to 4 female Sims and 2 to 4 male Sims in a separate household. These "bombshells" are ready to join and shake things up when needed. They can have traits, likes, dislikes, turn-ons, and turn-offs, but no skills to keep it fair.
Optional Extra:
💡If you want to be extra, you can register all of them with the labor union and use that space to write out a bio for each Sim, but it isn’t necessary.
💡 If you really want to shake things up you could make each sim have a distinct style. For example, one can be cottagecore, sporty, old money, alternative, beachy, urban, witchy, academia, Barbie, outdoorsy, etc. Here’s a list for ideas.
——————————————————————————
Bedroom: One large bedroom with 4 double beds for couples. (And a couple extra single beds if someone gets left out.)
Bathrooms: Multiple shower and bathroom stalls upstairs and additional bathrooms near the gym and pool.
Upper Balcony: Equipped with sun loungers and couches.
Kitchen and Sitting Area: Spacious kitchen and indoor sitting area.
Sundeck: Features a large couch and firepit for eliminations and coupling ceremonies.
Outdoor Kitchen: Includes a barbecue and large bar area.
Dance Floor: Designated area for dancing.
Gym and Yoga Area: Semi-outdoor/indoor setup for exercise and yoga.
Swimming Pool: Large pool area.
Hot Tub or Onsen: Relaxation area with a hot tub or onsen.
Skill Challenge Room: Empty space like a basement to host skill challenges.
Buffet Tables and Drink Trays: Available for parties and events.
Victor Suite: Locked except when won by a gameplay challenge winner. Includes high-end objects like a computer (the only one in the house), spa massage table, fancy tub, and bed.
Secluded Date Area: Gated area to control access for private dates.
Iconic Pathway: Long pathway for eviction ceremonies.
Extras: Poohoo bush, closets, woohoo blankets, and optionally a photo booth for added fun.
——————————————————————————
You don’t have to play with mods, these are my recommendations.
UI Cheats: Allows you to view exact relationship points by clicking the "set relationship" button under each sim's romantic relationships.
First Impressions Mod: Provides detailed explanations of sims' initial impressions.
——————————————————————————
Weather Settings: Turn off rain, thunderstorms, snow, and blizzards in the game menu. Set seasons to the longest possible duration. Start the game in summer for a Love Island vibe.
Aging: Pause aging to preserve the contestants' ages for post-challenge play.
Free Will: Keep free will turned on to allow sims autonomy in their actions. Micro-manage only for needs; let them pretty much choose their interactions, friendships, and rivalries. The exception of the rule is if you are trying to get everyone in one area to start a gameplay challenge. But make sure you turn it back on after everyone is on their gameplay station. I recommend giving them a few hours to complete the challenge depending on what it is of course. Keep track of the order of who finishes (or stopped) the quickest.
World's: I recommend playing in Sulani or Tartosa for this challenge but the new world Ciudad Emamorada would work too (beware the villa would have to be smaller in that world though.) However, feel free to do this in any world you want but it’s best to play it in the summer season.
——————————————————————————
Utilize the in-game calendar system to structure your Love Island challenge. Each round typically spans 4-7 days, depending on your desired pace. Here are the key daily events to plan for:
Private Date Day: Select two or three couples to enjoy a private date in a special area of the villa or off-lot.
Gameplay Challenge Day: Determine the strongest and weakest islanders through skill challenges or quality assessments. The islander with the lowest quality item or skill percentage within a time limit of around 2- 4 in game hours, will risk elimination if they lack significant relationships.
Chaos Spin Day: Introduce random events to stir up drama and unpredictability among the contestants.
Coupling and Elimination Day: Held in the evening on the last day of each round. Contestants dress in formal or party wear for the ceremony. After the first elimination, the gender with numerical advantage chooses their partner first. Those without partners face elimination. Re-coupling may occur if islanders form closer bonds during the round.
"Bombshells": Introduce 4-8 additional sims (evenly split by gender) sporadically in each round to shake up dynamics. Morning of the date day in each round is ideal for their arrival, allowing them to participate in that day’s events.
——————————————————————————
On the first day, your goal is to have everyone meet and interact in the villa. Here’s how to get started:
Equal Numbers: Begin with an even number of males and females to form 4 couples in total.
Numbering Sims: Number each sim from 1-8 for easy reference during wheel spins.
Lovestruck Expansion: If you have the Lovestruck expansion, observe the sentiments and dynamics as the islanders interact. Pair up those with stronger connections.
Initial Dates: Start the day with a few different dates. Roll for the number of current islanders to determine who goes on dates. If a new islander or “bombshell” is entering, they will get the date. Choose their date based on sentiments, attraction, and relationship levels.
Natural Relationships: Let relationships develop naturally. Avoid interfering, but you can offer slight encouragement if you notice two sims flirting. The challenge’s fun lies in the organic unfolding of relationships.
⭐️ Keep the first day focused on introductions and initial connections to set the stage for the rest of the challenge!
——————————————————————————
Setting Up Private Dates
Use a number roller from 1-8 (or the current number of islanders). The chosen number gets to pick their date based on:
- Attraction system
- In-game sentiments/dynamics
- First interaction
Date Execution:
Unlock the gate for the couple to access the private date area, or teleport them in.
Bombshells:
When a new bombshell arrives, they get 1-2 dates to decide who they want to couple up with.
Limit the total number of dates to 3 per day. For example, a bombshell can have up to two dates, and you can still have one date among current islanders.
——————————————————————————
Suggested Skills for Challenges:
- Candle Making
- Cooking
- Painting
- Cross Stitching
- Gemology
- Knitting
- Woodworking
- Flower Arranging
- Media Production
- Mixology
- Nectar Making
- Fitness
- Yoga
- Rock Climbing
- Fishing
- Guitar
- Violin
- Pipe organ
- Juice fizzing
Here’s a list to spin for skill competitions
Challenge Outcomes:
- Winner: The islander with the best quality item, highest skill, timed score (depending on the skill chosen or combo of those) wins a night in the victor suite. They can invite their partner or someone else for added drama. If an unpartnered sim wins, they get a chance to invite someone and potentially steal a partner.
- Loser: The islander with the lowest quality item or skill point is at risk of leaving if they don't form significant relationships by the coupling ceremony. If it comes down to two sims, the one who lost the challenge leaves.
Tips:
☑️ Place skill-related items around the house or in a special skill room to allow sims to use them autonomously. This ensures fairness when spinning for the next challenge.
☑️ Don’t force sims to gain skills; let them choose to do so on their own. Any skill points they gain is all fair game for when it’s time for a gameplay challenge.
——————————————————————————
This day is just to keep you on your toes. The randomness will make your experience more customized and help you determine who is good with whom. I numbered these so you can use a number randomizer to determine which one you get for today.
⭐️ You do not have to read all 45 of them right now if you don’t want to. You may skip to the elimination section.
1. Use a number randomizer to determine which girls are getting into a fight today.
2. Use a number randomizer to determine which boys are going to fight today.
3. The couple with the lowest romance is fighting today.
4. The couple with the highest romance is fighting today.
5. Someone in the couple with the lowest romance is getting cheated on today.
6. Someone in the couple with the highest romance is getting cheated on today.
7. An old villager comes back for a day to cause some drama among a couple.
8. Get some activity tables; we’re doing a group puzzle.
9. Everyone gets on the yoga mats for a yoga class.
10. Throw a party of your choice; this can include villagers who have been voted out.
11. An islander of choice must get close with another islander outside their couple.
12. A massage therapist is hired for everyone today.
13. We get a slip and slide for today.
14. We get a couple of bowling alleys for today.
15. Tanning and beach combing day (if you are in Sulani or Tartosa).
16. Use a number randomizer (1-8) to give a sim 1+ skill points for free to use in the next challenge day.
17. Use a randomizer to determine who’s being messy today and woohooing with two different sims.
18. A couple of choice gets a date alone today; a couple with the lowest romance gets a chance to work on their relationship via a date alone.
19. A couple with the highest romance gets a date alone today.
20. Everyone plays a game of basketball.
21. Everyone has to skill up one point, but they each have to do a different skill from one another (and, of course, skills used for competitions).
22. The losers and winners of the last gameplay challenge day go head-to-head in a redo of the competition.
23. A new bromance occurs today.
24. It’s just me and the girls. Two girls get to be friends today.
25. A friendship occurs between a male and female who aren’t attracted to each other.
26. Everyone makes a friendship bracelet.
27. Throw a house party.
28. Throw a dance party.
29. Throw a pool party.
30. A sudden death occurs. You must kill off a sim; roll from 1-8 to determine who dies.
31. An engagement?! Roll 1-8 to see who’s getting engaged with their current coupled-up partner.
32. Tanning! Everyone just works on their tan today. (Maybe an enemy sabotages someone’s tan.)
33. Get a photo studio; let’s take some pictures for the house.
34. Everyone plays a card game.
35. We take everyone to another lot.
36. Take all of the girls to another lot.
37. Take all of the boys to another lot.
38. A double elimination occurs. The two people with the lowest gameplay challenge score go home.
39. They’re back! A female player that was voted out comes back for the next round.
40. They’re back! A male player that was voted out comes back for the next round.
41. Drama! Three islanders go on a date together in hopes of two coupling up.
42. Use the woohoo blanket.
43. Everyone plays darts or foosball.
44. Use a number randomizer to determine who’s getting a secret lover on Cupid’s corner outside of the household.
45. Throw a costume party and have everyone wear a random outfit from the costume trunk.
——————————————————————————
The first elimination is based purely on the islander who loses the initial challenge, because not everyone might of made a romantic connection yet.
All other eliminations will be based on who has the lowest relationship(s) and ranking in gameplay challenge.
Set up challenge stations in a large room, like a basement.
Randomize the gameplay challenges for a fun and unpredictable experience. Choose skills that produce items with a quality rating or judge by the highest skill points achieved in a set time.
——————————————————————————
Observing Interactions:
Pay attention to Sims naturally interacting, especially if they're already coupled but start talking or flirting with others.
If two Sims start being flirty around each other alone often, you can nudge the relationship by having them flirt once or twice to see if they will keep it going.
Recoupling:
A Sim might choose to recouple if their bond with another Sim grows stronger.
In a love triangle, the Sim that has the least connections (romantic and friend wise) and ranked the lowest among in the gameplay challenges, is the one that will be eliminated.
——————————————————————————
Let Cheating Happen: If a Sim cheats, let it play out naturally. Don't intervene in saving Sims if they die; it's part of the challenge. Butlers or maids can be hired to manage the cleaning.
No Careers at the start: None of the Sims should have a career initially. However, you can write them a bio if desired.
Adapt as Needed: If you don’t have a certain pack for a skill or activity, replace it with something you do have.
Managing Needs: Assign a bedtime to ensure needs are met. In the morning, control them to shower and eat. The first Sim up makes breakfast unless you have a hired butler or maid.
Encourage Flirting: It's okay to make Sims flirt or chat generally whenever you like, but for new romances, only initiate flirting once or twice to get things started. Do this only if you notice Sims getting flirty around each other often, as Sims usually won't start a romance autonomously without a mod. After that, don't intervene. If the romance doesn't progress, it wasn't meant to be. Follow their social cues and wants to let you know who they like.
Unlimited Funds: This challenge isn’t about money, so feel free to use the "rosebud" cheat as much as you like. 😉
Rewards: The winners could win the villa and you can renovate it in their style. Alternatively, use them in another challenge.
Questions and Feedback: If you need any clarifications, feel free to ask. If you try out this challenge, tag me! Use the #ts4romanticreef

Sammy Ingram Is A Liar
I have known Samantha a.k.a. Sammy for over 10 years. We used to be extremely close friends up until recently. I had to cut her off, because my self, and some of our other friends called her out for constantly lying in her videos. She has already cut off Other friends for calling her out. One of our friends, Tallia, called her out over a year ago, publicly, and Sammy pretended to not know who she was. Sammy has been a habitual, and pathological liar her entire life. She used to lie about her race, and heavily edit her photos and tell people that they weren’t even when it was extremely obvious. She would tell people she was Hispanic, then she would tell people she was half black. She knows how to manipulate people into believing whatever she tells them. I will attach messages to this thread. I was recently blocked after trying to upload a video about the situation on YouTube, she reported my video immediately, and it got taken down for bullying and harassment. I tried to re-upload it, but since my kids were in the background of my video, I think it’s safer, if I don’t.
She always tries to silence everyone who calls her out. She cuts her friends off and blocks us. Then she pretends as if she doesn’t know us. She has never manifested anything in. This is not her first time using social media to scam people. She has admitted to us that she steals other peoples videos. She has sent me links of other peoples post and videos, saying she was going to make a video like it. She talks shit about her coaches, and even tried to scam some of them. Which is why her coaches are constantly leaving. She always says she doesn’t care about her clients, she just wants to make money. She always complains about her clients and her situation is calling them names and laughing at them for being desperate.
Around the time of her father‘s passing, and I reached out to her and told her that I pray she stops lying and does the right thing. She got mad at me and wouldn’t talk to me for a few months. When she did reach out to me she told me she would confess publicly. me and Tallia, are used to create google accounts, and Facebook, pages and fake success stories for her. We were commenting, 20 or 30 success stories under all of her post. When she started her Facebook group, we would post success stories from accounts we created. She literally asked us to do this, so that people would buy her coaching and think she was legit. And she used to buy her Instagram followers. She used to tell people she was Hispanic, which is not true. She would lie about where she is from. All she does is lie. She never manifested Bobby, I have no clue how she made him agree to even filming videos about it. But I’m sure she Gaslite him or manipulated him as she did so many people we know.
She has a burner Twitter account that she used to use to bully people online. The account is still active and she uses it to defend herself, pretending to be someone else to anyone who sends her hate online. She pretends like it’s a supporter but it’s actually her. You may have noticed this account around. She blocked all of her friends on this account along time ago, so I don’t remember the name of it. I’m sure one of you can find it and figure it out. I years ago, she would always create fake accounts to bully people or make herself seem better. Since she is a good liar and manipulator, it’s usually easy for her to get away with everything. I’m sure she has brainwashed her followers into believing everything she says. she loves playing the victim and always has. Every time she starts some thing with someone, it’s always their fault. She is constantly throwing rocks at people and then hiding her hands. This has been going on way before this YouTube channel.
I’m sure like always. She is going to pretend like she doesn’t know me. The same thing she did to TALLIA I will see if I can find a picture of us together. Please help me get this message out. I worry for her son Major Devon Ingram every single day. I pray he doesn’t end up like a pathological liar like his mom. I tried to tell her for years she needs to confess to all of the fucked up stuff she’s done. She continues to say she will, but I doubt she will ever. I cannot wait to see how she will lie and manipulate her way out of this.

If you are following me from TikTok:
Yes, my account was banned.
No, I do not know why, because they will not tell me.
It's truly a Kafkaesque situation, and I do mean that in every sense of the word. There was no email, no notification, nothing. I only found out because my girlfriend asked me why she couldn't find my account. When I opened the app, it just said I was banned and did not elaborate--it was just a popup saying the account is banned.
All I know is that it is permanent, and they have taken the nuclear approach of banning my actual phone at the device ID level. (As in, my phone literally can never open the app ever again. Trying to do so will result in a popup covering the screen saying that I'm banned. It will not let me log in, create an account, etc.) They made it clear that they don't want me to ever make another account or use their platform again. But even if I could, I don't know what not to do.
TikTok Support immediately responds to any inquiries with a canned response (most likely from a bot) but refuses to tell me what I actually did beyond "violating community guidelines", which is an unbelievably vague, nebulous, catch-all non-answer. I have read their guidelines, and my only guess is that they viewed my content as "promoting dangerous acts" since I am a silversmith and I use fire to melt/join metal. The same content is on my Instagram if you wanted to see for yourself. But again, that's just a guess--I don't have any way to prove or confirm that suspicion.
I only suspect this because, in the 2.8 years on the platform, I had exactly one minor violation: a video where I melted metal in a very safe/controlled manner that was flagged for "dangerous acts." It was silly, but I didn't fight them on it or try to reupload it. If another video I made had a similar issue, I would expect them to do the same thing--not nuke the account with zero warning. Meanwhile I'm seeing DIY channels that literally tell you to take a lamp cord, tie the two leads to bolts you've attached to a wooden board, plug it into the wall, and then touch a lightbulb to the bolts to make it turn on. I've even seen people complain about getting banned after 15+ violations!
In researching this, it seems like this is not uncommon; TikTok's moderation bots will just nuke your account with zero explanation or recourse. There is also a chance that the account was mass reported by someone who just really didn't like me. I don't know why that would happen; I didn't post any of my unhinged anti-capitalism content there yet. (I am still editing that.) If I entertained that possibility, my only thought is that I used the same handle for TikTok, Tumblr, and Reddit--and of those, Reddit is notable for being a platform where I have gotten some truly vitriolic private messages as a direct result of my leftist views. (Several even made it a point to call me an "SJW" somewhere within their missives.)
It was nice having a 175k follower-count and an audience to watch the educational videos I make, but I guess that's it. It was the one time I ever really had a strong reaction to the things I make/post online. It didn't even last 3 years; it was incredibly fucking stupid of me to ever think that would ever go anywhere.
The thing that probably hurts the most, is that the content mills who steal/reupload my videos and get millions of views without crediting me largely go unpunished. (The thought that they are somehow making money off that content feels gross in a way that's hard to verbalize right now... I have made no money off any of this as I was doing it for fun.)
At some point next week I will be re-uploading the content I posted there to my YouTube channel so it's not lost forever: https://www.youtube.com/@wmvmetalsmithing
At least now this probably means the content creation bots will stop flooding my email asking me to review stuff.

Myra Elvira’s Terms of Usage
Myra Elvira’s Terms of Usage
[March 10th, 2023]
I didn’t think that I would have to do this, but after some strange encounters, I believe creating this is necessary. My YouTube channel, blog posts, and other branches thereof, are for informational and educational purposes; entertainment not necessary. My projects, which can be blog posts, videos, or any other medium are my own creations, that I’ve created on my own. Whether I am reading literature, talking about history, true crime, or whatever else, each of the projects consists of my own person, most commonly represented through my voice. Blog posts, PDFs, and other writings are researched by me, Myra Elvira, and written by no-one else. These works are my own, I do not take anyone’s works and claim them as such, and neither should you.
Under the common “Fair Use” policy, which can be read on google, the use of copyright protected material under certain circumstances is allowed, without the permission of a copyright holder. Common examples of this are “react” videos, youtube poops, and clips from other videos or movies, used as a source in the main video. With reading books, this is a bit of a grey area, as I can read a book on my channel, and because I am using my own voice, it can be seen as a transformative work. Some of you may feel this way, as I have seen many comments about how the way I read, can bring stories to life (which I really appreciate). That said, if I’ve read a copyrighted work, technically, a holder could potentially still have it taken down. I have no problem with this, though the grey area of this issue is complex, and perplexing.
As for myself, and my own content, which is written by myself; or the literature readings that are considered public domain, I don’t condone any uploads online, youtube or otherwise, that do not credit what I’ve done. I just want to be credited for what I do, and it’s very annoying not to see that in the other channels that have blatantly downloaded my content at times, and uploaded them on other places. Just credit me. That’s all I ask. Place it in the description box, a pinned comment, or what have you. I just want to be credited. Many people still don’t seem to realize that it is me reading the content on my youtube channel, mainly the books. That voice you hear in every Myra Elvira video is mine. Myra Elvira’s.
I don’t think that many people understand the work it takes to read, or edit the videos I do. I’m not asking for pity or sympathy, just understanding and compassion. I am a one man team. I’m the social media manager, the voice over, the writer, video editor, and researcher. All of this is done by me. Always has, and at this point, I think it always will. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to the writings, and really can’t trust anyone to find all of the information I do. The only way I can hope to explain the length of time it takes to create everything I do, is to take every video, especially the book readings, and multiply it by two. Those 1 hour videos can take 2 hours to edit and process. The 10 hour ones, absolutely take 20. I just want to illustrate the point, that it takes a lot of my time to do what I do. So if someone doesn’t want to credit me, and re-uploads my content, everything I do is just a faceless video, misleading others who don’t know better.
I am, on the other hand, okay with archival purposes. A lot of what I do is focused on archiving, especially the books I have read which are public domain, no longer in print, at risk of being lost to history, and/or in copyright limbo due to things like an author’s death, and no sign of a current owner (See: Paul Watkins’ book). Once again, I just ask that you ask me to re-upload my content, if you decide to do so. I do not give permission to make money off my content, even if I allow for it to be re-uploaded elsewhere. I understand that you might want to have a database for such content, as some subjects I've gone over are very popular.
If you wish to archive my videos, or simply just want the files for your own, feel free to contact me by email. I am open to responding to any emails from anybody, even if it’s just a simple hello.
I allow my videos to be downloaded for the sake of personal use. If you wish to have the content on your computer, or whatever else, go wild. Videos are allowed to be downloaded, and used as sources for educational usage. I have gotten comments that some of my material has helped others in their classes, even being used for their essays and such. That is great! I am fully okay with this, and had actually hoped that one day, it would be how some people used it!
Educators, students (college or otherwise), are fully okay to download, edit, react, source, cite, and anything else of the like, my content. All PDFs, blog posts, and various other writings are also allowed to be used, for personal and educational purposes. Writings are of course okay to be cited in essays, books, blog posts, and the like. I write everything in an informal version of the Chicago format essay. I try to provide the PDF in links to blogs, and on my patreon, which is free. You can cite the blog posts or patreon posts, which is perfectly fine.
Of course, there are multiple ways to cite the works of somebody, like MLA, APA, and Chicago. According to citationmachine.net, the ways to cite a PDF in MLA would be:
-Change the medium description to “PDF download”. To cite a PDF available to view online, change the location description to the URL leading to the PDF.
[MLA]
For example: Hardin, Myra Elvira. The Tale of Acid Bath, 2022. Internet Archive, archive.org/details/acid-bath-band. PDF Download
MLA is strange, and I don’t really like it, but that’s about as accurate as it seems to be. The format is based off of a chegg video posted on 10/22/22.
[APA]
I’m going with a guide from centralpenn.edu as the reference ofr this. According to the, pdf’s would be cited like this:
Surname, Initials. (Date of Publication). Title of Document. Site name (if different from author). Url the pdf came from
Example: Hardin, M. (2022). The Tale of Acid Bath. Internet Archive. Archive.org/details/acid-bath-band
If possible, use the url that takes the reader to the pdf directly, otherwise, use the url of the site/post that it came from. The sites I use are typically patreon, tumblr, and archive.org. Tumblr doesn’t have pdf file hosting, so most links will be from the other two sources, most likely archive.org.
[Chicago]
According to owl-purdue, they state that electronic books, and books consulted online are cited exactly like their printed peers, with the addition of media at the end. Stable page numbers aren’t always available in electronic formats, so you can include the number of the chapter, section, or other easily recognizable locator.
Footnote version: 1. Myra Elvira Hardin, The Tale of Acid Bath (Internet Archive, 2022) archive.org/details/acid-bath-band. Pdf
Book version: Hardin, Myra Elvira. The Tale of Acid Bath. Internet Archive, 2022. Archive.org/details/acid-bath-band. Pdf
I won’t be including the city of this citation, it’s pointless for what I do anyway.
— That would he the most accurate way to cite anything I’ve written, and posted online. I’ll try to provide a citation at the end of my writings when possible. If you don’t feel like doing it manually, then I recommend a site like easy bib to do it for you. That’s what I used when I was in school.
—
[ Citing the videos themselves ]
[MLA]
“Title of Video” youtube, uploaded by screen name, day month year, url.
Example: “The Tale of Acid Bath” youtube, uploaded by Myra Elvira, September 3, 2022, url.
[APA]
Person who uploaded video. (Date of Publication). Title of Video [Video]. Youtube. Url
Example: Myra Elvira. (September 3 2022). The Tale of Acid Bath [Video] Youtube. Url
[Chicago]
Footnote version: 1. First name, surname, “Title of Web page”, name of site, Publishing organization, publication or revision date, access date if no other data is available, url.
Example: 1. Myra Elvira, “The Tale of Acid Bath”, youtube, September 3, 2022, url

— If you wish to download any files of mine, they are typically located on patreon and archive.org. I will provide zip or rar files that you can use, which can later be extracted. If possible, I will try to have more of my videos archived, at least, the more historically interesting ones. I will upload a thumbnail, if I have one, that comes with the videos. In 2021, I had a hard drive crash, and I don’t have the thumbnails to the old content.
I’m not perfect, so I might miss things, or forget a thing or two. If there is a video or thumbnail you would like, feel free to email me. It would be a lot easier to download any files or videos from me, and any place I archive my work. The video files are usually huge, thanks to the lossless audio. With compressed zip and rar files, it shouldn’t take an entire day to download anything of mine.
I have seen my videos on other channels, and honestly don’t know why these people would rip off the videos, probably using a sketchy site that would jack up your computer. Considering the size of the files on my own computer, I don’t seriously don’t know why someone would try to download the uncompressed videos in their entirety. Some videos are huge, some are “little”. The biggest file so far is the “Child of Satan, Child of God” master video. It’s 68 gigs on my computer. Some videos can be 1 gig, or half of one, but it still takes up space. I honestly can’t fathom why someone would download the hours-long videos! Save your internet, save your cpu, and just go with the archived versions.
—
As of right now, that seems to be it! I’m sure that we’ll encounter something dumb along the way, where I’ll eventually have to update these rules. As of right now, I just want to keep it simple.
[DONT]
-Upload my content to pay sites, link it using spam links/scammy trackers/and anything that grifts a person ❌
-Act like my content is your own. Please credit me. Link my channel, tumblr, patreon, something. ❌
-Fry your computer trying to download the files, mainly the videos, from a shady website. Go check the archive, or email me directly. ❌
-DONT BE STUPID!!!
[DO]
-Ask if you’re unsure ✅
-Feel free to use my content for educational, personal, and/or FAIR USE, purposes. These are fine. ✅
-Ask for permission if you wish to upload something of mine. I will only allow this for true archival purposes. Email me for permission. ✅

Thought of doing this Blog but not sure if I should due to how controversial it is as it’s about youtubers I used to like but not so much anymore. Its not a callout post or me going on about how much I hate this people, these people are just doing their jobs and I have the Utmost respect for those that are fans of these people and you have the right to still like them and their content. It’s just the stuff they do or the stuff they did that make me not be a fan of them anymore and hit ‘unsubscribe’. I wont link them their channels out of respect. If you like these youtubers and their channels that’s great. all the power to you. I thought it would be a way to get it off my chest and Explain why I don’t like these people so much anymore. So without further ado here are my:
YOUTUBERS I USED TO SUBSCRIBE TO BUT NOT ANYMORE.
5. The Completionist
Man, this one is the most heartbreaking. Jirard was one of my favourite Gaming youtubers where he makes you proud to be a gamer. I did feel his reviews were best during the Greg era as Greg was the comedic foil to Jirard’s straight man. And even after the fallout and the episodes he was in were re-reviewed for ‘New Game plus’, they were still good. Sadly after December 2023 where he was exposed and accused of Charity Fraud, his team left and his reviews went downhill to becoming just..basic reviews. No in-depth list of things to do and collect to fully complete the game and his ratings were just meh. His fanbase has been split with those that still like Jirard and those that hate him and want him to go down. I still like Jirard and I hope he recovers from what’s going on but with the state of his channel it’s hard to say. I finally unsubscribed to him as he only uploaded 2 videos in the last 4 months. No update video or at least his finale review of Diddy Kong’s quest. I will check in on occassion to see if the channel might one day bounce back.
4. Projared.
I used to like this guy from the early 2010′s as he was sorta part of the new wave of online Video game Reviewers along with Jontron & The Completionist (as well as Caddicarus later down the line). I liked his Video Game Reviews and is a big fan of Final Fantasy. Then there was this massive controversy that he was accused of some things ,and everyone turned on him wanting to see him fail. I’m usually an Innocent until proven guilty kind of guy so I wasn’t sure if he actually did those things but everyone believed he did. Then Projared came out with a video proving his innocence and although he was cleared of what he did, everyone then started liking him and was on his side again and was like “it’s cool man, we knew you were innocent the whole time”. What dissapointed me was that NOBODY was on his side when the allegations came out. Everyone wanted to see him face justice. So now even though he still does videos I now find it awkward to watch his stuff without being reminded of the things he was accused of doing.
3. Top Hat Gaming Man
Another Video game Reviewer I used to like and also he’s British as I like to support British youtubers. I also like his reviews of Handheld consoles and games. But I know he needed to make money so he had to appeal to the Youtube Algorhytmn and that is Clickbatey Rant videos which I hate. You know, the videos where people shit on the things you love due to opinions and try to piss you off. Being a nintendo fan myself I started to dislike his anti-Nintendo vids such as where he says the N64 was overrated and yeah I get the problems the N64 has but he makes it out as if you should be ashamed of ever liking or owning an N64 as if it was the worst Nintendo console ever (which it isn’t). And even his fans agreed with him. I understand the problems and dodgy practices Nintendo has done but I think you should have the right to enjoy Nintendo games and consoles.I think the video where he drew the line was that he says the graphics of the 2019 Link’s Awakening remake was awful. I don’t even get why anyone would find it terrible. So the graphics of Animal Crossing and modern Pokemon games get a free pass then? I know it’s his opinion but I found it to be a bit of an insult. I Don’t think he does those videos anymore and I have my respect for the guy and his work but I’m not into his stuff anymore.
2. Mugimikey
I used to follow this guy from the early days of Youtube where he made Sonic X parody dubs and does really good voices of Sonic & Robotnik. But he really found his niche when he made Sonic Parody animations, and they were funny and disgusting. I liked his Robotniclaus videos and the Sonic Boom Parody set in a coffee shop. But then he only made animations based around one subject “Sonic Meets X” which I guess is to appeal to the Youtube algorhythm. And I have to say it can get really mediocre if it’s just ‘Sonic meets this character’ for 50 videos. But there was one I really didn’t like and that I felt he went too far in (which might be a bit hypocritical due to all the disgusting things Robotnik & classic Robotnik get up to in his animations) which was ‘Sonic Meets Mario’. Based on this erotic fan fic series called ‘sonic’s ultimate harem’ where Sonic brags to Mario about all the women he slept with. I know it’s satirical but I found it so awkward to see Sonic bragging about how he’s dating peach and he started groping and sexually abuse her in front of Mario. I do not like seeing Women being treated or touched like that in public and people seem to love it! So I no longer follow his stuff any more. I still check on his animations on occassion and he did do parodies on the second Sonic movie.
1. Game Grumps
Oh boy, the big one. I used to love Game Grumps in the early-late 2010′s Especially during the Jontron era and the early Dan years. They were pretty much one of the last major Let’s play channels that are still around. The problem is that Arin is no longer remembered as an animator anymore which was what put him on the map in the first place and made the channel popular. Dan’s a great guy but he kinda acts like a confused Dad and both he and Arin are like a couple of boring old guys now. Also Arin hardly pays attention to the games he plays and in recent years they would play really mediocre indie horror games or rubbish simulator games. I was even put off by their clickbait titles where they don’t tell you what game they are playing, but they seemed to have stopped that. Also I feel their videos are too long and have guests on that nobody cares about (seriously who the hell is Wilbur Soot?) But I still respect the guys and still check in on them from time to time. I really like it when they play Visual Novels as it demonstates their voiceacting and I like their riffing too. But other than that they are pretty mediocre now and I can’t really stand how Arin can be so incompetent in playing certain games and trying to be ‘hip and cool’ as well. And I am so fed up with how they now mostly play Monopoly, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy & Mario Party over and over and over with the occasional unique game thrown in. If you like these guys thats fine and I respect you for that.
EDIT: Even though I haven’t resubscribed to their channel I still watch Game Grumps depending on what they are playing. They still play retro games on occassion but I mostly watch them on Weekends where they play Danganrompa V3. Most of the week they play either boring simulator games, The same game show games or rubbish Indie Horror games.
So thats the end of my rant. I don’t really hate these guys I just think their content dont really appeal to me anymore. I respect you if you like them and enjoy their videos. I’m just expressing my own opinions.

Ways To Make Money Online
Ways To Make Money Online There are many ways to make money online from this system. But within this series, I will share the 5 best ways to make money that our system will implement. - Selling Digital Products - Selling Online Courses - Selling Affiliate Products - Google AdSense - YouTube Ads In these 5 ways, the first 3 ways we will make money by selling products, the other 2 ways are making money by displaying ads. The method is similar if you have your product, so don't worry! 1. Selling Digital Products The most significant advantage of selling digital products is that you don't have to worry about shipping. So selling is instant. It allows you to build a fully automated sales system. You can also quickly sell globally, and the system will work 24/7 anytime, anywhere. You might be thinking: but I don't have a product yet. OK! Don't worry. I'll show you some ways to find digital products source later on. Three types of digital products we can sell: - Products created by you. - For third-party products, we buy the right to re-sell. - Sell by dropshipping (after we get an order then, we will order the product from a third party, and they will send it to the customer) 2. Selling Online Courses If you are an expert in a specific field, this is an excellent way to generate additional income for yourself by creating paid courses. You can create courses on other platforms like Udemy and Coursera… but in this series, I will show you how to make your own courses quickly. It's great that we have our courses without being tied to any third parties. 3. Affiliate Products Affiliate Products are a prevalent and straightforward type. You don't need to create a store. All you need is the URL of the product. When customers visit your product URL and purchase, you will be shared a commission.Currently, most digital product services support affiliate marketing. Signing up is also quite simple. I will guide you in more detail later on. 4. Google AdSense Making money with Google Adsense has been around for a long time. In short, definition, when you let your website display Google's advertising content, you will get paid. You need to build great content to increase views. Then you will sign up for a Google AdSense account and install them on your website. 5. YouTube Ads There are many ways you can make money from YouTube. But in this series, I will show you how to automatically convert your posts into videos and upload them to your YouTube channel. This method helps you to pull traffic from YouTube to your website and can make money from YouTube without spending too much time creating videos. OK, in this article, I just want to convey ways to make money online from the system that we are going to build. I will guide you more specifically in the process of building the system.Thank you, and see you in the next posts. Read the full article

What’s Your Sign?: Sagittarius
Genre: Celebrity!AU
Pairing: Choi Minho x You (Female!Reader)
Warnings: None
Words: 5,534
Author’s Note: Since I’m so fascinated by astrology, I decided to do a Zodiac series! I will be writing a one-shot fic for each sign featuring different members from different groups (and even an actor!). Each story will be posted on the 5th of the month during that sign’s season. Please reblog, comment, or send in an ask with your feedback! Thank you for your support 💜
Ever since you’d seen him in his first ever role on a television series about five years ago, you’d fallen in love with Minho.
Choi Minho, probably the most attractive man you’d ever seen. Through a screen, at least. You hadn’t yet been lucky enough to see him in person.
And since you’d fallen in love with him after watching his very first episode of that television series, you’d done nothing but support him for the last several years.
You saw every one of his movies the day it released in theatres. You watched every single episode of every single television show he appeared in -- even if he was just a guest star.
His popularity from his first role had soared pretty quickly, which was really a win/win scenario. Minho, who presumably had been a struggling actor previously, was now flush with offers from directors. And you, an immediate superfan, got to spend a lot of virtual time with your new favorite actor -- because, not only did he act in a very large handful of projects every year, he was also interviewed on talk shows, featured in magazines, walking the red carpet of premieres and award shows. He didn’t have a social media presence for some extremely odd reason, but you still felt like you knew him.
From everything you’d seen and read about him, Minho was outgoing, friendly, and charismatic. He was confident, straight-forward, and optimistic. He basically always had some version of a smile on his lips, and based on many posts in the Choi Minho subreddit, he never turned down an opportunity to meet a fan out in public.
He... was basically perfect.
And you couldn’t stop yourself from daydreaming about one day meeting him, falling in love, getting married, and having about ten children together in the most beautiful house in the universe.
But, to be fair, your daydream wasn’t entirely impossible!
You were a bit of a celebrity, yourself!
Kind of.
On the Internet.
You had started a YouTube Channel six years ago, and at first, you hadn’t really had a clear vision for your videos. An absolutely rookie mistake, of course, but there’s nothing you could do about it now.
You’d started off with makeup tutorials because that had been the hottest YouTube trend at the time. But... you quickly discovered you weren’t as good at makeup as one should be to post a tutorial online in good conscience. You also weren’t quite good enough at doing your nails, cooking, or sewing to do videos about those.
For at least a few months, you’d been stumped. You knew you wanted your own YouTube channel -- you had a pretty fitting personality for it -- you just didn’t have any one marketable skill.
Until, one day, you stumbled upon a video of a guy watching a K-Pop music video for the first time and reacting to it. That was literally it. The whole video had been just him watching and talking about it.
And you were very good at that. You loved watching things on a screen -- YouTube videos, television shows, movies, you name it! And you always had thoughts running through your head while you watched something. In fact, you frequently wished one of your friends had exactly the same taste in music, shows, and movies as you so you could voice those thoughts aloud to someone who actually wanted to listen.
So, how had you never thought of doing that on your YouTube channel?! There was obviously a market for it -- the guy you’d watched had a few hundred thousand subscribers, and since it was something you genuinely enjoyed doing, you weren’t afraid of running out of content inspiration or motivation any time soon.
It was literally the perfect idea.
The next day, you had set up your camera, pulled up the first episode of your favorite television show of all time, and got to work. When you posted the video a few hours later (Re-watching my FAVORITE show of all time), something about it just felt right. Like the stars had aligned. No matter if you got five views or five thousand, you knew you were on the right path -- when it came to YouTube, at least.
Every day after that, you chose something else to watch -- a nostalgic movie, a viral YouTube video, the really cheesy musical episode of a television show. You tried to pick things from all along the spectrum, and you also tried to wait a few days in-between continuing on with your re-watch of your favorite show, simply for variety’s sake.
Little by little, your channel began to grow. After work, you would film, edit, and post -- every single day. On the weekends, you would film two different videos in case you ever needed to take a day off. Or in case you just felt like posting two videos!
Your first sponsorship offer email had come about six months after you’d posted your first video, and your eyes had nearly fell out of your head when you’d seen how much they’d offered you. (Looking back, your first paying YouTube gig really hadn’t been that much money -- compared to what you could make now, at least -- but it had still been incredibly thrilling.) And, really, that had been the catalyst of your YouTube career and popularity. It seemed just the one sponsorship had been all you’d needed to catch the attention of other brands who wanted to work with you, and when you got to the point where you could actually afford to quit your job and turn down sponsorship offers you weren’t wild about? That’s when you knew you’d made it.
Okay, but really, you knew you’d made it when one of your videos hit one million views for the first time (a video of you watching a particularly cringe-worthy teen movie from about ten years ago).
And now, six years later, you had almost four million subscribers, and your most viewed video had almost twenty million views. Sometimes, you still couldn’t believe it!
The highlight of your time on YouTube so far -- at least, in your eyes -- had been when you’d seen Choi Minho for the first time about a year after starting your channel. You’d still had less then one-hundred thousand subscribers back then, so if anyone ever left on a comment on a video mentioning how long you’d been a Minho fangirl or remembering when you first discovered him, you knew they were an OG subscriber. But ever since that video, you did absolutely nothing to hide your affinity for him, both as an actor and as a person. You watched and reacted to every single one of his movies and every single television show episode -- you even sometimes reacted to interviews or videos other fans had made about him.
Even when your channel hit some pretty big milestones -- five-hundred thousand subscribers, one million, two million, three million subscribers -- you never played it cool when it came to Choi Minho. You switched up your content and your editing style here and there, but one constant on your YouTube channel was the fact you let your inner fangirl shine for all the world to see.
In fact, just last month, the trailer for his new movie dropped, and you were able to upload your reaction to it within two hours. Since then, you’d read and watched every interview you could find, favorited every tweet about the upcoming film, and liked every post on the #ChoiMinho hashtag on Instagram. Since he had no social media, you had to be satisfied with other people’s content rather than his own.
You were scrolling through his hashtag on Instagram right now, actually, as you procrastinated getting out of bed to go set up for another day of filming.
Now that you had almost four million subscribers and were approached by more than several companies for sponsorships every single day, you were able to focus on your channel full-time. You definitely got cabin fever from time to time, but it was worlds better than filming after work and on weekends. Now, you could actually take a day off whenever you wanted! It was glorious!
But you still procrastinated working. You were still human, after all.
After you caught up on his hashtag and liked just about every picture you could, you navigated to your inbox to look through your DMs. Over the years, it had gotten pretty easy to skip past the spam and sugar daddy requests (which were plentiful, unfortunately), so you no longer dreaded checking the unread messages. You could usually tell which ones to delete straight away from the profile picture and first few words alone.
To be quite honest, you really only opened ones where you either could tell someone was genuinely reaching out to say hi or thank you for posting your videos or... messages with Minho’s name visible in the preview. Shameless, but oh well!
After deleting a few messages at the top which were clearly spam, the next one you came to was actually one of those messages -- you saw ‘Minho’ in the preview. It was the very first word, even! And in all caps.
You pressed on it as quickly as you could.
And when your eyes took in the rest of the message... your heart stopped.
MINHO WATCHED ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS!
...This had to be a prank, right?
But right after the message in all capital letters was a link to a YouTube video, and the preview for the video was right below the message.
It was one of those videos put out by a big fashion magazine where celebrities watch videos about them and react to it. Usually, musicians and singers would react to covers of their songs by fans, but every once in a while, actors would read tweets or watch fanmade videos about them.
And when you clicked on the link this person had sent, the video opened in your YouTube app to show the title “Choi Minho Watches Fan Videos on YouTube,” and your eyes widened.
If what the Instagram message said was true... Minho had watched not only a fan video... but your fan video. And since his movie was premiering in just a couple of days, he had most likely watched your reaction to the trailer.
Oh my god.
Oh my god.
Since the video had started automatically after clicking the link, you took a deep breath and concentrated all of your focus on your phone screen. You were not going to miss the part where he watched your video.
But, of course, after not even thirty seconds, you found you had already gotten distracted by how handsome he looked.
You quickly shook your head a bit, widening your eyes briefly before narrowing them to focus on your screen again. “Come on, Y/N,” you muttered to yourself. “You can watch it again right after this to admire him.”
It was only a fifteen-minute video, so it’s not like you had to wait forever to get to the part where he watched you!
Still, though, as the minutes ticked by, you felt your heart begin to race in anticipation.
What would he say about you? Would he find your obsession with him creepy? I mean, it had to be a little creepy watching someone squeal and profess their love for you -- someone you’d never met!
But, then... when you got really mushy comments... most of the time, it didn’t feel creepy. It just felt sweet, and you were incredibly grateful that a lot of your subscribers and viewers were so supportive.
Ugh! You were getting off track again!
You shook your head once more and set your gaze back onto your phone screen.
Finally, when the clip of Minho watching a fanmade music video transitioned into the clip of him watching your video, your breath caught in your throat.
Were you going to survive this?
Outcome is unclear.
“Oh, yeah, I know her,” Minho said as your trailer reaction video began to play in the corner. “She’s the reaction girl, right?”
Your jaw dropped.
................Excuse me?!
Minho knew you?!
As you watched Minho watching you with the most adorable soft grin on his lips, your hand slowly crept up to cover your mouth in shock.
And, then, when you in the video paused the trailer to bring up another one of his movies that this trailer had reminded you of, his grin widened and he looked very pleased. “She knows her stuff, huh?”
You heard someone behind the camera murmuring something, and subtitles appeared on the screen. “She’s a known superfan, actually.”
Minho’s brow furrowed and he leaned toward the camera. “She’s what?”
“A superfan,” the person repeated, a little bit louder. “She’s known to her viewers for watching all of your movies and shows. There are always comments about you on all of her videos.”
Minho’s eyes widened a little in surprise. “Really? All of them? Comments about me?” He leaned back and nodded slowly after, apparently, receiving a positive answer. “I had no idea. I’ve just seen her videos about, like, the cheesy teen movies we watched as kids.”
You truly almost dropped your phone.
So... he knew who you were, but he hadn’t known that you fangirled over him on a regular basis?
First of all, how was that possible?
Second of all, did it really matter?! He knew who you were!
He knew who you were!
You didn’t expect that he regularly watched your videos, but still.
HE KNEW WHO YOU WERE!
Your heart was practically beating out of your chest as you watched him finish up watching your reaction video. The look on his face was one of delight, and even though you knew he was a good actor, it sure didn’t seem like he was simply pretending not to be creeped out.
“She’s so fun,” he smiled as your video ended, his gaze shifting back to the person he had spoken with earlier. “She has more? Like, for my movies?”
The person mumbled something back, and this time, there were no subtitles on the bottom of the video. But Minho’s eyebrows shot up immediately.
“All of my movies?” he asked. And then he let out a joyous chuckle and added, “No way.”
He quickly turned to the computer and clicked on your channel name.
But the video transitioned into another clip of someone else’s video, so you didn’t get to see if he actually watched any other ones.
Even if he hadn’t, you were still overjoyed -- to say the least -- that he had watched just one!
He knew who you were! He had actually known who you were before this which was probably the most surprising thing you’d ever heard in your entire life. (Besides the fact that Minho was currently single. That was definitely more surprising than anything.)
After sitting in your bed for a few minutes, staring blankly at your screen as the video finished up, your gaze unfocused and blurry, you finally came to when you realized the video had ended.
And then you proceeded to freak out.
You squealed and shrieked and kicked your legs and rolled around and scrambled to your feet to jump up and down on your bed with glee.
Was this the best day of your life?
Quite possibly!
Once you’d calmed down just a tad, you plopped back into a sitting position, crossing your legs into a pretzel as you navigated back to Instagram.
You sent a reply to the person who’d sent you the video (”OH MY GOD THANK YOU HE KNOWS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”) and then refreshed your inbox.
As expected, a whole new slew of messages came through and literally every single one seemed to be about the video.
Your lips split into a huge grin, and just before you clicked on a random one to read and reply to it... you noticed that one message had a blue check by the sender.
Pausing, you shifted your gaze to that message.
And your heart jumped up into your throat when you recognized the name of the account.
Obviously, it wasn’t Minho himself because he didn’t have one.
But it was the next best thing.
His management company.
You followed them, of course, and liked every single picture about him or with him. Of course!
But you had never gathered up the courage to message them. You’d had no reason to! What would you have said?
And now they were messaging you.
The several days following the video of Minho watching your video had been... a blur. To say the least.
You still weren’t even really sure how you’d gotten here.
I mean, you knew you were here because Minho’s management company had direct messaged you on Instagram inviting you to the premiere of his movie and you had accepted without one millisecond of hesitation and then you’d gotten on a plane a couple of days later and then checked into a super nice hotel and had a stylist and makeup artist sent to your room and after many hours you now looked better than you ever had in your entire life.
That’s how you got here.
But you still weren’t even really sure how you’d gotten here.
A rather large stroke of luck?
Good karma?
Hard work to grow your YouTube channel into something that would make you more easily recognizable by actual celebrities and their management companies?
Or a combination of the three?
Either way, you were overwhelmed with gratitude, and you knew you would never be able to forget this experience -- even if you, for some odd reason, wanted to.
I mean, you were currently in a really nice car, and the driver (yes, you had a driver!) was taking you to the red carpet.
The red carpet!
An actual movie premiere! With an actual red carpet!
And the movie was Minho’s movie.
You were at the premiere of Minho’s movie.
Oh my god, what if you saw him?!
As the car rolled to a stop in front of a crowded theatre, your heart and stomach dropped down to your very expensive and gorgeous shoes.
You’d gone to somewhat fancy events before -- it came with the job of being a YouTuber -- but never anything like this. Never an actual movie premiere. Never the chance of seeing your favorite actor in the history of time. And, obviously, never walking a red carpet.
Your door magically opened just as the car stopped moving, and a hand popped out of nowhere to assist you in exiting the vehicle. As gracefully as you could, you slipped your fingers into the mysterious palm, allowing it to gently pull you up and out of your seat and onto the sidewalk.
Almost immediately, camera clicks, light bulb flashes, and inquiring voices filled the air.
Cameras and lights in your face, you were used to. It was your everyday life, in fact!
But... all these people? Looking at you? Watching you? Taking pictures of you?
I mean, yeah, a few million people watched your videos. But it was absolutely not the same as a hundred or so reporters and photographers standing right in front of you.
Thankfully, some short but very powerful woman guided you onto the red carpet, muttering to you that all you had to do was stand in front of the backdrop, pose and smile for the cameras, and then move on to the next mark. Some reporters from news and entertainment channels would be waiting along the way to interview you (which didn’t scare you quite so much as you’d been interviewed a few times before), and all in all, it would take about an hour.
But it took you way less than an hour to discover that walking a red carpet is not as glamorous as it looks on television.
Walking like your shoes were covered in almost-frozen molasses so every photo taken was a good one. Switching back and forth between facial expressions so every photo taken wasn’t the same one. And do you know how many good places there are to put your hands when posing for a picture? Exactly two. One was on your hip and the other at your side. That was it. Definitely not clasped in front of or behind you, and definitely not tucking your hair behind your ear.
And just when you were sort of getting used to the constant posing for pictures, another short but powerful woman gently grabbed your arms and led you to a reporter from the most-watched entertainment news channel in the country.
“Hello, hello!” the perky reporter chirped as you approached her. “Come on over here!”
“Hi,” you greeted awkwardly as you made your way to the small mark on the ground next to her, holding up your skirt with one hand so you wouldn’t trip.
“Y/N! Good evening, good evening, how are you doing?” she asked before sticking the microphone in your face.
You had to quickly get over the shock of her knowing your name since you didn’t want to look like a fool on live television, so you forced a grin on your lips and answered, “I’m pretty overwhelmed, actually!” you chuckled.
“Is this your first time at a red carpet?”
“It is, yes,” you confirmed with a slight nod. “And I’m so used to being alone in my house, talking to myself in front of a camera, so this is all new territory for me.”
The reporter laughed with delight before asking which designer you were wearing. You answered her with ease since your stylist had drilled it into your brain before you’d left the hotel.
Then, after she asked you to tell the folks at home what you’re known for, she said, “It’s a pretty fun story of how you got here, isn’t it?”
“Oh, it is,” you answered, your lips pulling into a shy but excited grin. “I woke up one morning to a message on Instagram, and someone had sent me --”
The reporter interrupted you then, and you noticed her gaze was directed over your shoulder. You turned to look, and --
Well, the next few moments happened so quickly, you really had no idea how you reacted.
“Y/N!” Minho called out, smiling widely and waving before reaching out and sliding his hands over your shoulders. He stood next to you, squeezing you once before letting his arms drop down to his side. “I’m so sorry for interrupting --”
“No, we were just talking about why she’s here at your premiere!”
Minho’s smile brightened even more, and he continued on with the story you’d been telling.
Meanwhile, you were standing there. Mute. Staring at him.
Because oh my god.
How was it actually possible that Minho was more handsome in real life?
But also, how was it actually possible that Minho was standing next to you in real life?
But also also, how was it actually possible that Minho was real?
That’s the real question, isn’t it?
You came to when you heard him say, “Yes, this is our first time meeting,” before turning to you and holding out his hand for a handshake. “It’s so nice to finally meet you!”
You took his hand, shaking it weakly, and said the first thing that came to your mind: “Oh my god, hi.”
The reporter giggled, but Minho, instead of acting embarrassed for you, simply let go of your hand and moved to pull you into a hug.
Holy cannoli, Minho was hugging you.
Choi Minho. Was hugging. You.
Hugging!
You!
“It’s so nice to finally meet you!” he repeated with a grin after pulling away, though he was still incredibly close to you and gazing at you with those sparkling, dreamy eyes of his.
“You, too,” you managed to reply shakily.
The reporter then went on to interview Minho, asking him who had designed his suit, what his character in this new movie was like, and if he was working on any new projects.
“I’m in the early stages of something, yes,” he answered. “I don’t think I can say too much more, but in the meantime, I think I’d really like to film some videos with Y/N, branch out onto social media.”
Your heart stopped, and you knew your facial expression was doing nothing to hide your surprise.
Minho then turned to you with an adorably guilty look on his face. “I mean, if it’s alright with you, of course.”
“Yes, absolutely!” you burst out immediately, and the reporter giggled once again.
“Well, there you have it, guys,” she said after turning to face the camera. “You heard it here first -- a brand new collaboration in the works, so keep an eye out.”
She turned to you then and asked you to remind the viewers of the name of your YouTube channel. You leaned into the microphone and silently praised the lord you were able to remember it.
“Thanks so much, you two,” the reporter said with a very peppy grin. “Have a wonderful evening!”
“You, as well,” Minho answered before putting a hand in-between your shoulder blades and guiding you back to the red carpet.
Wait, he was guiding you back to the red carpet? He wasn’t... leaving?
“I’m so sorry,” he murmured in your ear, his breath causing the most delicious tingle down your spine. “I swear I wasn’t trying to be rude, I just wanted to meet you --”
“No,” you shook your head slightly. “It’s -- it’s totally fine. It wasn’t rude at all. I’m -- I just -- I’m a little overwhelmed. In a good way!”
“Totally understand. I remember my first movie premiere like it was yesterday, I know exactly how you’re feeling.”
You simply let out a nervous chuckle, but then Minho did something to make you even more nervous (which you hadn’t even been sure was possible).
He bent his arm and held out the crook of his elbow toward you.
“Shall we?”
Okay, you were now convinced this was a dream. This was all a wonderful, perfect, heavenly dream.
There was just no way that any of this could happen in real life! Being invited to Minho’s movie premiere was one thing, but him interrupting your interview on the red carpet and mentioning he wanted to film a YouTube video with you? Him offering to actually walk the red carpet with you on his arm?!
Nope. Definitely not real.
So, since this was absolutely a dream, you figured you’d just go with it!
“We shall,” you replied as a soft smile tugged at the corners of your lips.
You slid your hand into the crook of Minho’s elbow, and the two of you slowly made your way down the red carpet. Together.
It didn’t take long for you to be awed by his professionalism. When the cameras began to flash, he posed like a natural. It seemed so easy for him, but you figured it probably was easy after going through this so many times.
He murmured helpful hints and reassuring words to you as you struggled through, and he even insisted on doing his interviews with you by his side.
(Of course, before the two of you approached each reporter, he asked you quietly if you would rather have the spotlight all to yourself. He didn’t want to usurp your first experience on the red carpet and would gladly step away so you could finish the process on your own. You declined every single time.)
When you finally reached the entrance to the theatre about an hour later, you figured Minho would say it had been nice to meet you and be on his way.
But you should’ve remembered that this was a dream!
“Do you want to come inside? We can sit together during the movie if you want. I mean, you’re pretty much my unofficial date already, but you can absolutely say ‘no’ if you don’t --”
“I would love to,” you interrupted, your voice more sure and firm than it had been all evening.
But hearing your favorite actor and biggest crush of all time declare that you were his date for the night would do that to you. Plus, Minho literally exuded confidence and warmth -- you’d always thought so while watching him on a screen, and it was both relieving and exciting to learn he was exactly the same in real life.
Minho smiled at you and then led you into the theatre, your heart now basically in a constant state of flips and somersaults.
Once the two of you took your seats in front of the screen, Minho turned slightly toward you.
“I have to admit, I’ve been watching your videos a lot since I filmed the reaction for the magazine,” he said with the most attractive half-smile you’d ever seen in your life. “Seriously, thank you so much for being so supportive.”
“Oh my god, no, thank you,” you replied breathlessly. “I can’t believe you watched my videos.”
“They’re kind of addicting,” he chuckled. “I don’t know what it is, but I definitely understand why you have so many subscribers. I actually created my own YouTube account just so I could subscribe to you.”
Your eyes widened, and your heart actually stopped somersaulting because it stopped beating altogether.
“Are you serious?” you asked.
“You’re so entertaining! It feels like watching those movies and shows with a friend. And I like how you’re really honest but still nice about it. You don’t seem to have a cruel bone in your body.”
“Uh, no, I think you’re getting me mixed up with yourself,” you replied with a somewhat awkward laugh.
Minho simply grinned at you, and the somersaults started back up inside your chest.
“I was serious about wanting to film with you, though,” he said, eyebrows raised earnestly. “I would love to collab --”
“Yes, absolutely,” you reassured him as fervently as you could. “Literally whenever. Please. Yes.”
“Okay, good,” Minho chuckled before reaching into his pocket and sliding out his phone. “Here, give me your number so I can let you know when I’m free next.”
You hesitated before accepting his phone because...
What?!
Minho was giving you his phone. His actual phone. So you could put in your number? Your number?
This night just kept getting more and more unbelievable.
But you were never in a million years going to pass up the opportunity to give Choi Minho your phone number, so you took his phone and quickly added yourself as a contact.
“Perfect,” Minho murmured, almost to himself, when you handed his phone back to him. He looked at the screen for a few moments, and you noticed a soft grin pulling at his lips. And then he shifted his gaze over to you and said, “I can’t wait.”
And... as your eyes locked on his...
You had a moment.
A moment.
One of those moments you will never, ever forget as long as you lived.
One of those moments where your future basically flashed before your eyes.
Minho arriving at your house to film a video with you, a friendship forming, late night texts and phone conversations, going out to restaurants whenever he was in town... a more than friendship forming.
And you truly could’ve sworn this was not just your heart wishing, but... you honestly felt like you were going to marry this man.
“I can’t either,” you replied softly just before the lights went down.
The first thing you did when you got home was set up your camera and film a video relaying everything about your experience at Minho’s movie premiere.
Of course, you didn’t mention The Moment -- y’know, the moment you had when you realized you were most probably going to marry him? And you could just feel that it wasn’t wishful thinking? You figured it was probably best to keep that to yourself for now.
But everything else you shared with your subscribers, and you did nothing to hide how wonderful and magical it had all been -- and it had really been Minho which had made it so perfect.
“And you guys, he is truly exactly the same in person as he seems in, like, interviews and stuff. He’s so nice and so friendly and so warm and so gracious and --”
But you were interrupted by a text message.
Most of the time, you left your phone on silent as you filmed, but you’d been too excited to get all of your thoughts out that you’d forgotten to switch the sound off before turning the camera on.
“Whoops,” you murmured as you reached for your phone on your desk in front of you.
Instead of simply turning your phone on silent, though, the actual text message you’d received caught your eye and was too intriguing to ignore.
It was from a number you didn’t have saved, but your instinct to read the first few words of a message from an unknown sender took over... and you were incredibly glad it did.
Because the message was:
Hey, it’s Minho 😁 Are you free next week?
