A VERY sketchy Saavik and Kira :)

I’ve been very artblocked the last couple of months, so I haven’t drawn much at all (miss it a lot) but I have been working my way through the original Star Trek series, movies, and Deep Space Nine, which has been fun! Really hoping I can paint proper portraits of these two eventually

People have seemed to really like this, it's not me in uniform but I figured I'd share more pictures of him. I adopted him on January 1st!

Also because I never shared, his name is Bareil.

Bajorans are not immune to kitten cuteness...

My friend got this photo of me holding this precious stray kitten that lives near their house (which I... unofficially officially adopted) before heading off to a con.

Sometimes I think about how Star Trek Deep Space Nine depicted the Bajorans as having just come out of a 50 yr long brutal fascist, colonial, genocidal occupation that they used terrorism (the show explicitly used this word) to kick out.

And how the show depicts this as unquestionably a good thing.

One of the lead characters in the show, Major Kira, was a "terrorist", and we're not meant to think less of her because of it. She was resisting the occupation of her home!

I know I have been considered a legal adult for an uncomfortable amount of years now and all, and I am completely comfortable in my identity as a cis male, but in more seriousness than not, I want to be Kira Nerys when I grow up.
