My #sotd is Maison Louis Marie No 12 Bousval. The notes are absolutely divine … Sicilian Bergamot, Italian Orange, Oakmoss, Cedar, Myrrh, Musk, Amber, Eucalyptus. Its a Zen kinda scent. It’s smells like a luxury spa. Once more, scents I've sampled but haven't bought. Today, Bois de Balincourt No. 4 by Maison Louis Marie. I know many of you live this scent and it is lovely. Would I buy this? Maybe if I didn't have Katy Perry Indi already? Maybe if someone was getting rid of their bottle and was selling it cheap? Maybe if I was on vacay and stepped into a Sephora and bought it for the heck of it? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This smells a bit like Santal 33, but not exactly. It's fresher, and honestly, nicer, but I've had this sample for a while and haven't been convinced that I can't live without it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know that earlier this year when I posted that this was a pretty close dupe to Santal 33, some people were intrigued. Again, this is a nice mindless grab, and a sure way to get compliments, so I'd wear it to a party. I've heard no. 9 is great but I have yet to try it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you have this? @maisonlouismarie No9 Valée de Farney perfume oil🌲🍃🌳🔥💨 originally I fell in love with this on my friend @dorothyjhersey 💚 I decided to get the oil as it’s perfect for my purse. As it wore on skin, a similarity to L’Artisan Parfumer Timbuktu (attn @susanmargles!) it has a smoky Vetiver- deep Forest vibe. I’m at the point where I almost don’t care about a perfumes “notes” are. I prefer to smell it & experience it. No9 is intense & soapy in an Irish Spring way, yet a smoky Vetiver-patchouli pops up to make sure it’s not too soapy & grounds it, with a very dark green earthiness 🍃 🍂 it perks me up & projects better than most oils. Many people know this line for its No4 Bois de Balincourt, which resembles Santal 33 (maybe smells better frankly) but the whole line is worth discovering 🌳 they have discovery sets, which makes that easy, & candles (!) which are next on my list.
