#mainly needed to clear up set up since it was vague that YN just moved there

It's come to my attention some things aren't canon with the time line of the Set up series (It's a lot to keep track of and they throw out dates while not answering others so meh) So, AU or canon this is what I'm going with. If you find a loophole in the story it was a typo on my part srry

So here is the timeline for Set Up clear up till Terrible Trilogy:

- Billy and Sidney started dating their sophomore year 2 years prior to the events of Scream

- Hank Loomis has an affair with Maureen Prescott and Mrs. Loomis leaves

- Billy has no idea why until a few months later and he kills Maureen as a result. That takes place about a year or so after his mom leaves. Maureen is killed October of 1995.

(He grows to resent Sidney too as the months go by she is obviously traumatized by her moms death and he feels jealous of her life he feels he lacks. A mom that stayed, a dad that cares, a decent friend group and caring for her mom who in his eyes was the enemy. )

- January 1996 YN moves to Woodsboro bc of her parents feeling the need to move closer to her elderly grandparents and a job opportunity for one of her parents with better pay.

- YN starts talking to Tatum and Sidney in February and accepted into the friend group through Tatum in March 1996. Sidney quickly becomes friends with her along with Randy through Sidney. Billy is distant but cordial at first.

- Stu and Tatum start dating in April 1996 and YN becomes friends with him through her. (The rest of the group was friends with him prior but YN is formally introduced to him through Tatum and him dating even though that sat near each other in homeroom.)

- May 1996. YN is officially good friends with everyone; even Billy after she helps him vent when she accidentally finds him upset by himself after him and his Dad have it out. Around this time is when Billy and Stu both start realizing they like being around YN better than their own girlfriends. Around this time is when they plan to kill their friend group; specifically Sidney Prescott.

- YN starts talking to James in July 1996. It puts a strain on her friendships as the months go by and James isolates her as they date.

- September 1996 Stu knows he has a major crush on YN. Billy knew he did even longer but refuses to admit it. James abuses YN and they plan the murder sooner than they intended.

- October 1996 Billy and Stu kill James; making him the catalyst as well as Casey and Steven to the murder spree. Within a week from the anniversary of Maureen's death the murders happen leading up to the Woodsboro Massacre at Stu's house. Billy fully admits his feelings for YN. YN betrays them at the party and the fire happens.

- November 1996 YN moves away from Woodsboro to finish her senior year in a different town after getting death threats and rumors spread of her involvement with the two killers. YN is 18.

- September - October 1998 YN starts college and the two and a half week murders at Windsor College happen. YN is 20.

- October 2001. Terrible Trilogy starts and YN is 23 years old.
