Oh dang, my bad. I got the weights and months wrong for Maine Coon kittens. He'd still be small for an apprentice at three months old instead of the same size. Like a pound to a pound and a half smaller
So they got this tiny fluff ball who steadily grows to the size of Tigerstar, possibly bigger
Edit: also they keep growing until like four years old and hit a big growth spurt at three so take that into consideration. Fun times for everyone.
Ok but now I’m imagine that he grew up like tall, even close to Tigerclaw’s height… like gods Maine coon firestar
Graystripe: starclan Fireheart! How you get so big suddenly! You were so tiny when we first met
Fireheart (not really thinking, too much interest in the shrew he was eating): oh that because I was four moons old when we met
Whole clan goes silent
Longtail: I TRIED TO BEAT UP A BABY?!
Lol, Maine Coon Firestar would have to be like two moons old for him to be considered small for a six month old apprentice.
For the sake of maturity you could make him as big as a normal apprentice by making him three moons. Which is still bad, but he's probably old enough that his speech wouldn't tip them off.
I really want to write a oneshot about this now.
Cats, mostly the different queens, noticing how off his development is compared to the other apprentices but dismissing it because he's a kittypet. Of course he looks like he's about to cry during training when he gets knocked down. That's his kttypet weakness showing. Of course he still pounces on cats' tails and romps with the kits. Kittypets are immature like that.
I think Firepaw might not tell Bluestar out of fear of being kicked out for not being able to keep up. When he gets older he probably realizes how silly it was but to younger him that was a valid threat.
Since Yellowfang figured out that he was a kittypet on her own, I think she'd notice she's fighting a kit and immediately back off. She'd probably have an argument with Spottedleaf later about how no, him being part of a prophecy does not justify you making a kit an apprentice. You should've told Bluestar. what is wrong with you.
Following the timeline, he'd be made a warrior at like six or seven moons old. Canon Firestar was at least a young adult when he became leader, Maine Coon Firestar wouldn't even be fully matured at a few moons less than two years old.
Maine coons also don't shed their kitten coats until they're two years old. So Firestar suddenly starts shedding an insane amount and finally gets his adult coat and the clan is silently horrified. I mean, they're probably already concerned that he never stopped growing until he was leader. Even Tigerstar was grown at the age they thought Fire was. If you want to be symbolic this could happen around the time they form Lionclan.
Tigerstar is beefing with a teenager until his death.
Fireheart is like a fourteen year old trying to train a thirteen year old Cinderpaw. No wonder it ended badly

TIGERTOK AU MASTERPOST
ok so I was tired of Reblog the same post again and again so since this is something I really enjoy to do : a master post for Tigertok AU and then everything will be posted with the tags #TigerTok or #TigerStar TikTok AU
SO, to resume
As he was going to recrute bloodclan cats, TigerStar is spotted in the street by a cat lady from tiktok. She saw this beautiful maine coon covered in scars and decided to capture him and give him a lot of love in order to gain his trust and heal his injuries. She named him Cookie & has other rescued cats. Tigerstar spend entire days attacking her with all his inner rage but you can't beat tiktok cat ladies this easy you know ?? like she is a professional cat behaviorist or something this kind so she has all the world resilience in her blood and the more he hisses at her the more she loves him and wanna take care of him.
she puts him ridiculous outfits with things like "mister angry furball" written on it and he's becoming a trend on tiktok as she's narrating her journey to gain the trust of her old rescued maine coon
firestar once find out about his worst ennemy fate and it's just became his therapy to come with graystripe & cloudtail in the bushes in front of Tigerstar / cookie home just to make fun of him
Tigerstar is the same vile, violent, bloodthirsty cat we all know but now behind everyone of his criminal acts there is a lady filming him to put him on tiktok.
After eventually getting neutered he gave up his forest life because he couldn't imagine going back to his clan without his balls I guess. he now spend his days grumbling alone in the border of his catio (because, of course, the cat lady has a catio).
I wanted to state that y'all here are so funny, it fuels my shitpost machine so thank you and please take part of the au y'all have so funnies ideas lmao
some doodle - cw scars, blood and suicide joke

i literally just found your account and your au is so cool ??? would love to hear more about it ^^
Thank you!
I've got two AUs so this depends on which one you mean, they're both equally neglected :')
The first one is my Scorchedclaw AU, in which Firestar is born as a she-cat to Yellowfang and Jake. She is Brokenstar's half-sister but the timeline is pushed a bit back and Brokenstar takes over Shadowclan early, in this AU he doesn't exile Yellowfang but she leaves on her own after she sees what a tyrant he becomes. She seeks refuge in Thunderclan who strips her of her medicine cat rank once she reveals she's carrying kits but lets her stay. Scorched is born in Thunderclan and as far as everyone is aware she's a clan born so she's not as much of an outcast as Firestar was but she is still kind of isolated by some cats. The prophecy is a bit different too and there's actually another besides 'the fire will save our clan' that involves Brokenstar and Scorched. He was Yellowfang's first punishment for breaking the code, her second punishment is the prophecy that one of her kits will end up killing the other.
She wants Scorched to be ready so Tigerclaw becomes her mentor, honestly the whole AU is still kind of underdeveloped.
My second AU is even more underdeveloped. In here everything's the same except Jake had a sister named Maple. She used to be a kittypet like him but like Firepaw she was drawn to the wilderness. Unlike him tho, she never joined a clan so she lived most of her life as a loner, because of that she's very attached to her family and used to frequently visit Jake's kits. Once Firepaw leaves to join Thunderclan both Maple and Nutmeg are concerned about him so Maple goes to look. She finds Thunderclan to make sure that he is alright but Bluestar offers her to join too.
At this point Firepaw is just an apprentice and hasn't done anything noteworthy, he and Maple are similar in appearance so Bluestar starts to wonder if the prophecy could be about her instead of him. Maple is also ginger but she is easily the biggest cat in Thunderclan, maybe in all the clans, because of her Maine coon genes, and with the whole war with Riverclan over sunning rocks going on Bluestar can't waste the opportunity. Maple wants to look after her nephew, especially since he is leading the most dangerous life out of all his siblings so she decides to stay, partially because she also likes the idea of stability that comes along with having a clan.
Maple and Firepaw are the two protagonists of this AU but I'm still thinking of how they'd be interfering with plot. I'm honestly doing this mainly for my own entertainment

Another different anon here, just finished TBC and most of your fan works, but Pine's Fire AU (for the bastard patrician Firestar son of Augur Pinestar AU) sound good for a throw away name for now? I think Tigerclaw might actually try to bond with Firepaw, maybe. Pine is probably a Maine coon, and they're big cats. In into the wild, Fire eat maybe two bites of kibble, if that and drinks a lot of water. Theres no mention of him getting brushed, so Tiger could use that as a way for the clan to help him go rescue his other siblings.
Princess is rescued first, Then Filou, Luna, and finally Tommy. Each more mistreated then the last, Tigerclaw and Thunderclan's rage reaching a boiling point when Firepaw's sister, Luna, was brought into camp, her front paws wrapped in cobwebs.*
Tigerclaw taking charge and watching over these little bundles, barley a moon away from becoming apprentices and giving them new names. (With Firekit's help.
"But I'm an apprentice!"
"You said these are your littermates, yes?"
"They are!
"Then you are Firekit."
Tigerclaw: *lightly pokes Luna.* "This one is Moonkit, and this one," *he said, poking both Tommy and princess* "is Flamekit, and Whitekit." *he looked over to the still sleeping Filou, and tapped him with his tail.* "He'll be Hawkkit."
I like the thought of Tigerclaw leading a kit stealing run on Fire and siblings. In Into the Wild ThunderClan is noted to be particularly lacking in kits. And having so many patricians in their pocket as potential pawns in the marriage alliance game would be a great advantage. I'm thinking perhaps if in this interpretation Tigerclaw is thinking of using them as pawns. Perhaps there is *some* attempt at bonding with his half-siblings and he could be somewhat genuine. But I struggle to see him as completely selfless in this.

Part one of the three part Anon Hypokits! Let’s go!
In the first AU, Princess (a Maine Coon) goes to Riverclan, and Stonefur, who is Cold All The Time, practically glues himself to her side. Subtly, really. Flamepaw is Not Fooled and tries to tease him but he is Shameless. Crushes ensue.
In the second AU, Firestar is a Scottish fold, and Sasha is a bengal. Hawkfrost saves Leafpool from falling, and he fathers the three.
In the last AU, Jaykit is a bengal, abandoned by a breeder for being blind. Brought to Thunderclan, he’s made a Medicine cat, even though he doesn’t want to. Icecloud thinks he’d be a great warrior, and gives him secret training. They bond, and eventually Icecloud becomes pregnant. Their relationship is revealed, and they leave together, heading back to the Old Clan Lands. Many years later, Graystripe returns, and finds them with Warriorclan, acting as guardians for the younger cats. And yes, that IS that Snowtuft.
I hope you enjoy, and as with all my Anon requests, these designs are free to use with credit!

Ashstar AU
After Squirrelflight breaks up with Ashfur for Brambleclaw. The gray tom plots his revenge. He still hangs out with Brambleclaw. Like nothing even happened however, he begins to notice that Leafpool is acting a bit strange. One day he sees Leaf and Squirrel leave the camp and he follows them unnoticed. He realized the Leaf is pregnant and soon gives birth to kits and passes them off to Squirrel. Ashfur realizes he can use this info to his advantage. He still trains Lionblaze and even develops a 'close' mentor-like status with him. One day Ashfur tells Lionblaze that Squirrel isn't his real mom and that in fact his real parents are Leaf and Crow. Lion is upset that both Leaf and Squirrel lied to them and runs off to tell his littermates Later Ashfur meets up with the three and Hollyleaf asks for proof.. Ashfur still does the fire scene where Squirrel confirms that the three are not her kits. Ashfur smiles before leaving the scene. Holly still tells the clans the 'big ' secret. Shaming Crow, Leaf, for breaking the code and Bramble and Squirrel for lying to them in front of everyone. Bramble grows upset with Squirrel. Crow still denied his kits which enrages Hollyleaf. Which she responded to by killing him. Then fleeing off to the caves. Jayfeather then meets with Leaf and threatens her to eat the deathberries. To which she does. Ashfur and hawkfrost's plan to kill firestar works and hawkfrost also kills Brambleclaw when he tries to free Firestar. Ashfur feels a little bad for Bramble. Ashfur then steps up to become leader with lionblaze as his deputy. Ashfur sends Lionblaze and Sandstorm on patrol, Ash gives Lion a head nod. Lion blaze drags Sandstorm's dead body back to camp saying that they were attacked by a rogue group. Ashfur (Star) looks mournful with Squirrel. Ashfur smiles as his plan comes together. From the distance he sees Squirrel sitting by the river...alone. He finally confronts her about everything. Before dealing a killing blow around her chest. Breed that I base the cats on: Ashfur/star - korat Firestar - Somali Sandstorm - Yellow Tabby Hollyleaf / Crowfeather (oriental cat) - Bombay cat Jayfeather - Blue Tabby/ oriental cat Lionblaze - Maine coon Squirrel/leaf - Mixed Bramble - Maine coon ++ Hollyleaf has a power in this au - It likes the rope of truth/ lie detector ++ Lionblaze’s powers doesn’t work when he fighting his sibling or those who been ‘touched’ by starclan and only work in a Fight or Flight response ++JayFeather’s powers are seeing either the past or future however it isn’t as clear. And dreaming walking

Hi so I'm trying to come up with an AU where Firestart is Pinestarts grandkid. I'm really liking the idea of Firestars mom being something like a Tortishell Maine Coon and Jake being a Somali or Abyssian. How would Firestar look like with them as parents? Would something like a Ticked Somaly or Abyssian be possible?
Hi!
Somalis and Abyssinians have that distinct color and pattern from two sets of polygenes - one set controls the amount of striping on the legs, neck, and tail, and the other is our good friend the rufousing (redness) polygenes.
Somalis and Abyssinians are bred to have as little striping and as high rufousing as possible. Crosses of these breeds will generally have the leg, tail and neck striping - though maybe not as much as a moggy, and rufousing that is higher than average, but not as high as the intense red undercoat of Somalis and Abys.
You can get around that second bit somewhat. by having Nutmeg have pretty high rufousing, like this.
That’ll give Firestar a better chance for even higher rufousing, though he’d still probably be at the low end of the Abyssinian range, something like this. Whether that’s Fire- material is up for you to decide.

How would Longtail feel when he realizes that he beat up a baby? Fire was a kittypet, yes but he was still a kit, and clan law dictates you do not harm kits.
Pretty terrible, but it would also depend on when he learned how old Firestar was at the time.
I have like three ideas of if/when cats found out how old Firestar was.
A little after he becomes leader and finally fully sheds his kitten coat. His age is never stated by himself or anyone else but cats can figure out that he definitely wasn't old enough to be training at the time.
After Squirrelkit and Leafkit are born. He's eating in a group with the older first arc characters and he casually implies that he was three moons old when someone comments on one of his kits' size.
Around the time he's a year old. I'm not sure specifically how the clan finds out but the figure it out in that time frame or are told in some way. Regardless of how I go about it, Bluestar figure it out around this time.
Like, if the clan figured it out early in the first series, then completely awful. Not only that but he'd probably automatically have a bad reputation amongst the queens (especially considering they watched the fight). Which would make him feel worse. He'd probably also have Tigerclaw and Darkstripe mocking him for barely holding his own against a kit. Which would be kind of embarrassing, but not enough to overtake the horror of it.
If he knew like moons after Firestar became leader, he'd feel horrified but significantly more embarrassed. Probably because there is a lot of the newer generation there who never witnessed the fight. So they'd be kind of horrified by the principle but never saw the act. You can be sure Cloudtail takes that moment to go 'Ha! You got beaten up by a kit! Lmao!" Which would would shift the younger generation's thoughts form attacking a kit to being beaten up by a kit.

Was thinking about Maine Coon Firestar last night and just had the image of him playing with the kits when a queen, just trying to be friendly, asks how old he is. It was meant to be a joke, like "you're a little small for an apprentice, how old actually are you?" in a teasing way, but then he - not knowing the rules yet - very honestly and proudly says he's three and a half moons old. There's some confusion before the queen realises he's completely serious and this suddenly explains everything.
He gets asked by another queen and the elders. All of them come to the same horrifying conclusion that this apprentice is a baby oh fuck
So after some discussion, Bluestar suddenly has every queen, some former queens and every elder in front of her, complaining and trying to get her to realise she's training a toddler to kill. The most confusing day of her life honestly how did all these cats fit in her den
Bluestar, talking to Firepaw, realises he's absolutely lying through his panicked teeth when he says he's six and a half moons and definitely not three and a half. Well shit. What is she even supposed to do here? Un-apprentice him? Promote him to the name -kit? Just let him keep training but don't send him to battle?
I thought it would be kind of funny if they had to invent a whole ass new type of apprenticeship specifically for this situation. He's still an apprentice, but he will be 'mentored' by the queens in the nursery (cared for properly) and by the elders. It's his duty to help out around camp and learn what he can from the elders and queens, with Bluestar still being a involved, but less so. The elders give him tips and tricks for hunting and tell him every story they know, the queens mostly take care of him and he might get to go on herb gathering trips if he's lucky.
They just invent an early apprenticeship role for kits that mature a bit quickly or need something to keep themselves occupied specifically for him. I don't know if they'd ever use it again, maybe for four and a half moon old kits, but it's just funny to me they had to scramble to find a way to be reasonable adults in the situation whilst also not breaking his heart about not being old enough for an apprenticeship yet
Kid's gonna be so good at making comfy beds and knowing every piece of clan history possible by the time he's six moons mark his words. Boy got adopted by everyone and they had no say in the matter lmao
That would be really cute. A sort of pre-apprenticeship to keep older kits busy when they're old enough to be feeling agitated by being in the nursery all the time, but too young to be apprenticed.
Lol, the image of Firepaw smiling with a missing tooth and proudly saying that he's three and a half moons old. Same vibe as a little kid going "I'm this many years!" And holding up three fingers.
It would also be really funny if after all this Firepaw still managed to get in the exact same amount of trouble he would've as a normal apprentice. The whole clan is in a panic when he's missing from camp one day and he comes back with a banished medicine cat he found and fed (who taught him how to catch rabbits???)
The other clans probably think Thunderclan is irresponsible but no it's just this one child who has more trouble making ability than all the other apprentices combined.
#warrior cats au#I should probably comes up for an actual name for this#maine coon firestar au#warrior cats#ask

Re: how would the other clans take to finding out about how young Main Coon Firestar was when he began training? Like what if it came out in Fire and Ice after the accidental death of Whitethroat? How badly do you think Riverclan--especially cats that fought him feel? And oh I bet Shadowclan and Windclan would be pissed.
At that point he'd be like 6-7 moons old so even the age he is then would be an issue.
Everyone would be horrified, Shadowclan especially. You're tellling me the cat who helped us get rid of our baby-killing dictator is also a baby?? And you sent him out there? He fought Brokenstar, he could've died!
Windclan would be mortified but also I think slightly offended that they sent out a new warrior and what should be a new apprentice to retrieve them.
Oof and imagine Bluestar still keeps Brokentail as a prisoner. Shadowclan and Windclan would be baying for their blood.
I don't think Riverclan would feel too bad, he's still apprentice aged at that point. A bit young but still allowed to fight technically.

Imagine Fireheart/paw jumping out of the bushes and scaring Silverstream, she thinks he wants to fight but he just says "Stop taking Graystripe! He's my brother!"
I don't think Fireheart has the awareness to say that exactly, but that is essentially the message he gives off. Intense jealousy for Silverstream taking up so much of Graystripe's time.
Silverstream would probably find it a little cute. Graystripe thinks it's annoying and emberassing.

Can't help but imagine that Yellowfang would go full mom (or aunt) mode once she realizes that Firepaw is a kit. Grooming, making sure he's not pushing himself too hard and making sure he sleeps.
That is absolutely what happened.
She'll make him get two pieces of prey from the pile, one for herself and another for him, and make him eat, send him to bed early if he looks tired, groom him against his will if he's looking a little too scruffy (which was often), etc. It's kind of embarrassing when the other cats catch on.
Firepaw: I can groom myself, I'm not a kit!
Yellowfang (bombastic side-eye): Uh huh
But then Firepaw starts looking to her for comfort a lot more often. He's more affectionate and touchy with her since he can't be with the other cats. He probably spends more time in her den than the apprentice's den.

Which parent wpuld be the maine coon, Nutmeg or Jake?
Cuz if it was Jake then Tallstar would *know* that there is something fishy about his lover's best friend's kit being so tiny even though he was an adult.
I'm not at all a fan of Firestar being Jake's son because I feel it minimizes the relationship he had with Tallstar from this young cat I've watched grow and respect to my former boyfriend's son. Bleh.
So generally just assume that Jake is an unrelated ginger cat (ginger, not flame colored) Tallstar once knew when I'm writing aus.
But anyway, it would be Nutmeg.

In your maine coon fireheart au, was he able to save yellowfang during the fire?
actually, yes! hes far stronger and larger, and able to scale the tree faster to get bramblekit. then, he goes to get yellowfang. she has permanent lung damage, but remains thunderclans cleric for a while to come. shell be alive until about po3, where she dies during the thunderclan fire of this arc. she does still make a similar speech to fireheart, however. i always hated that the killed yellowfang off so soon.
she and firestars daughters are very close. no starclan yellowfang bullshit here.
