You know what would make my life? If Netflix, Hulu, or Crunchyroll got the rights to do localizations/English dubs or subs of some of the original Japanese magical girl shows- like Sally the Witch, Sally the Witch 2, Chappy the Witch, Mahō no Mako-chan, Himitsu no Akko-chan”. (And to be completely honest, I would watch a dub or subbed version of Marvelous Melmo out of morbid curiosity.) A lot of these shows got localizations in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and/or Italian, and were aired in European countries and/or French speaking Canada. But there were no English dubs or subs, except for maybe fan made ones.
I know several of the early magical girl shows were done by Toei, and I don’t know how likely they are to rerelease something from the 60s or 70s. Maybe there isn’t much of a market for magical girls that predate Sailor Moon?
