Hello! I’m an amateur artist and writer, obsessed with Horizon yet new to the fandom (finally finished the game in early 2023). Horizon has done wonders to inspire me to write more, and to participate more in a fandom for the first time.

Q: What is a favorite piece of work you've done (completed, working on, in concept)?

After finishing Forbidden West, I wrote a short piece to try my hand at writing Aloy. It’s probably one of my favorites that I’ve done. It's called "Aloy, This is For You", where Aloy visits Hidden Ember to see Erend.

Q: What are some of your favorite tropes to write, draw, or read?

I enjoy a bit of trauma with cuddly soft comfort after. Always believe the more you love a character, the more you want to hurt them.

Q: What is an unexpected thing or fun fact about you?

I graduated college as a Biological and Chemical Engineer and did absolutely nothing with that degree.

Q: What has been your favorite thing about working on this project so far?

Seeing the passion from all walks of the fandom has really helped me enjoy my first deep dive into a fandom interaction. I’ve been a fan of a lot of the artists and fics, so to be able to work alongside them is an honor.

I was told to start posting my art again, and to link it to my YouTube videos associated with it! I’m really starting to enjoy lineless, and I feel like I’m starting to improve from that first comic I did when I started learning how to draw.

Looking for More: Nighthold

I’m just going to put this on Tumblr in the hopes that we’ll get someone to stick now. We’re a small Heroic raid group on Horde side (not on a specific server so I don’t care what anyone else is on) and we’re looking for two more ranged DPS players to join us for when Nighthold comes out. We’re looking for people who will actually make every raid night (Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 pm PDT) and be regulars with us. We use Discord to talk, and all we really want are friendly people who want to run relatively casually but can still pull the numbers required for doing the Heroic raids.

And yet...it has so many downvotes? I may be biased, but I don’t understand why so many people disliked this video. Is it at all fair to them? My mom uploaded this video for people to see it, just to see a random flash mob. I wanted to post it on Tumblr here in the hopes that perhaps my followers can enlighten me as to why this video is disliked. I also hope to counter the hate with some well-earned love.

Mom is planning on taking the video down because of the hate. I wouldn’t mind showing her that it’s just the Internet being the Internet.

I got a little more ramble-y than I was expecting, so I’ll put the rest under a read more so I’m not filling someone’s dash with my self-advertising. 

So...I’m trying to start a new hobby. I want to record videos on YouTube, not for the chance of getting paid for it or whatever, but rather just...as a hobby. After having a really awful time between school - college has not been kind to me, it’s been difficult - and some other personal problems, I found that ranting to an unknown audience somehow...therapeutic, I guess? I don’t know, I just started with Don’t Starve and I have three episodes up already. So I thought I’d put this out there in case anyone wants to watch or give feedback on how I can improve.

I’m also considering other games to play. South Park: The Stick of Truth and Telltale’s The Walking Dead seem like good games to go to. I’m not sure though. 

It’s something for me to do and look forward to, and any support or interest would help me at least take off if not help me move forward into this rather intimidating field. I’m still learning, and I’m not great with computers, but I’m really trying and I’m really doing my best.
