i bought a domain for my family to share i couldnt delibrareate what framework to use cuz im trying. to accommodate Pet Site on it. but i finilly decided on slim framework 4 + twig templates + doctrine. so im trying to figure out how that all waorks but i need to set up a homepage on my new domain

i will be honest neocities has SUCKED In recent years their server goes down constantly with no warning/maintenace logs. both your site frontend and the site editors. so visitors cant even access your site at random and its been happening more and more. like wtf is the issue. i used to pay for premium but like its not worth it at $5/mo..... just switch to a dedicated server host!!!!!! its actually cheaper unless you specifically want more than like 10 static sites. im using hostinger.

also hostinger used to have 000webhost which is ran my test site and they nuked it >:( so i switched my test site to infinityfree. which is running lovely. and support seems responsive there and helps you figure out how to work around free account limitations, like no domain e-mail.

anyway i was working off an old pet site framework called mysidia addoptables from like 2011 (last release was 2021) but recently i decided i cant work with it anymore it's too janky, dated, and just messed up 😅 i love the community that still hangs around it but the code is FUUUUUUCKED. so i'm starting from scratch...

this is also still my firsrt foray into php but mysidia has taught me BAD HABITS.... i literally have a folder of screenshots where i just screencap the code and soyjak at how bad it is. (why did you install smarty template and htmlpurifier and then... barely use them..........)

ANYWAYS. all my pet site progress is no longer very easy to catalog cuz it's just boring code. but by god it's easier to figure out how to roadmap it now that i'm not working with the stupidiest base code. i guess you can look at these upcoming pets tho :^) (wont be released til i draw all their other painted forms)

Rusoara Ruins is now on the map, and Chorunim Fossils have been reported there! with the right methodology, you might even be able to revive them into a living Chorunim pet!

shiny minipets have also been reported in Altrea... i wonder what else can be found as the map expands?

Gerrard Gethings, Animal Portrait Photographer, said: ‘Photographing animals is very different to photographing humans. You have to create an environment where you control as many elements as possible. It should be calm and quiet. The trick then is to capture the animal’s attention and keep it for long enough to get the shot you need.'

‘When the frame is set up, you often have only a split second to get the shot, so the right camera is important. We took all today's photographs with Sony cameras, using their Animal Eye Auto Focus technology. Focus is everything, and this feature tells the camera to automatically track the animal’s eyes, keeping them in super sharp focus, allowing me to concentrate on getting the perfect picture.'

Stella & Lucy (Dolly Pawton’s Mums) said: ‘A top tip is to get to know the pose that your pet enjoys doing. When Dolly was younger, we noticed she loved to prop herself on the table, so that become her signature pose. When taking shots, we incorporate her favourite squeaky toy (a little white dumpling) that she’s had for years. She’ll look at that no matter what else is going on – we don’t know what we would do if we lost it.

‘If you’re getting a few shots, keeping their interest is key. We get really creative with this and sometimes end up making a huge range of sounds to keep Dolly’s attention – often getting odd looks from passer’s by. Finally, Dolly always get rewarded with her favourite treats.’

Karen Duque, mother of Dante the Cat said: ‘With cats, it’s all about making them feel comfortable. Dante is a very relaxed boy, but whenever we set up a shot with him, we take the time to make sure he is familiar with his surroundings. He will walk around, rub himself on the props and sniff things – then he’s ready for his close-up!’

Stella & Lucy (Dolly Pawton’s Mums) have also provided a run down of the key things to think about when trying to make your pet Insta-Famous:

1.Embrace their unique personality

Cute, sassy, goofy, adventurous; our pets each have their own individual character. We all know how special they are, so flaunt what makes them stand apart and tell their story. Dolly has an eye for fashion and she’s passionate about activism – everything she posts ties back to that.

2.Outfits

Create a distinctive look that stands out. Whether that’s elaborate clothing, stylish accessories or themed content for the Holidays (pumpkin and Santa hats at the ready), who doesn’t love a good costume change? On the other hand, if that isn’t your pet’s style – be true to them. It’s all about being authentic.

3.Set the scene

With Instagram being a visual social platform, its key to create an image that catches the eye and creates that thumb stopping content. Props, backdrops, good lighting and perfect focus are essential to embrace and build on your pet’s character and create engaging imagery.

Whether that’s brunch at a cafe, having a ‘sip’ at the bar, walks on the coast, or snuggled up on the sofa at home; choose a variety of backdrops that bring something new, yet are compatible with their personality.

4.Strike a pose

Choose the best angles that show off your pet’s personality and any distinctive physical features. The more you work with your pet, the more you will get to know their strongest look, whether that’s a powerful stance which oozes confidence or belly rubs to show off their playful side. 5.Focus on Quality

Use the best equipment to capture sharp imagery that highlights every inch of your pet’s shining persona and appearance. 6.Caption Copy

Captions can further help bring your pet’s personality and narrative to life, giving their followers an insight into their thoughts. Mine kæledyr og deres kæledyr

Jeg har en ny kitty i mit hus. Hun er en otte måneder gammel korthåret lille pige ved navn Polly. Polly er noget unikt, fordi hun er næsten alle hvide bortset fra lidt grå på toppen af hendes hoved. Og hun har et par flere tæer på hendes poter end de fleste andre katte. Polly er poly dactyl … og hun er også Pip’s pet kitty. Pip, hvis du husker, er min hund Charlotte’s kitty. Jeg fik Pip et og et halvt år siden da han var to måneder gammel. Charlotte forsøgte i tre år at få mine ældre katte til at lege med hende. Hun ville danse rundt og spille-bue foran dem. De ville bare stirre tilbage på hende som om du siger “du skal narve, ikke?” Charlotte ville endelig give op og gå væk. Så en dag havde jeg en ide … eller en hallucination som en af mine søstre ville sige. Hvad hvis jeg fik Charlotte sin helt egen baby kitty at lege med? Det opstod på mig, at ingen i historien om kæledyrs ejerskab nogensinde havde haft en så god ide! Så jeg gik til Humane Society og fandt 2 måned gamle Pip. Da jeg kom hjem, lagde han ham foran Charlotte. De begyndte straks at lege og kæle. Et og et halvt år senere fortsætter disse to usandsynlige venner med at lege og jage hinanden rundt. De tager også sig af og holder øje med hinanden på daglig basis. Det var virkelig en god ide! Nu havde Pip brug for min hjælp. Selvom han har Charlotte til at rulle rundt på gulvet med, ser han bare ud som om han vil have mere at tilfredsstille de unge katteinstinkter. Jeg ser ofte Pip forsøger at lege med den anden mandlige kitty i huset. Men Chunie er ti år gammel og er kun interesseret i to ting … at spise godbidder og sove. Så ethvert forsøg fra Pip til at engagere Chunie i kitty play, går ikke hurtigt. Pip er ikke en opgave. Snarere får jeg følelsen af ham, at han mener, at han kan få Chunie til at gøre, hvad han vil, hvis han bugner ham nok. Minder mig om de pre-teen år med mine børn. Jeg havde virkelig ikke tænkt længe om, hvordan man kunne hjælpe Pip. Svaret var ret klart og gennemførligt … få Pip hans helt egen kitty. Jeg fandt Polly på en dyrlæge kontor. Hun og hendes søster blev lige taget fra en kitty hoarder. De var begge i god sundhed og ret socialt. Polly skete lige ved at sidde på et kattekage, da jeg gik ind. Jeg blev ikke trukket til hende med det samme, men jo længere jeg tilbragte i sit firma og jo flere gange gik jeg tilbage for at tjekke hende, desto mere vidste hun at hun var den, der ville binde med Pip og give ham et løb for sine penge. Jeg har hurtigt udfyldt en adoptionsansøgning hos dyrlægen. Næste dag blev jeg godkendt som et godt hjem for Polly. Så efter at have betalt adoptionsgebyret og fik alle instruktionerne, kom Polly hjem til Pip. Pip og Polly binder pænt og begynder at have nogle virkelig specielle “play dates”. Selvfølgelig skete det ikke med det samme. Polly brugte de første par dage til at gemme sig i kælderen blandt kattens træer og kasser. Jeg så ikke meget af hende, men jeg kunne høre den lille klokke på hendes halsbånd ringe lykkeligt, da hun begyndte at jage kitty bolde rundt i kælderen gulvet. Så en morgen kom jeg op for at se en hvid flash scurry over spisestuen gulvet og dykke for dækning under buffet … Polly havde gjort det ud af kælderen. Som ugen gik, blev lyden af en lille klokke højere og hyppigere, da hun og Pip begyndte at jagte hinanden omkring spisestue stole. Selvfølgelig da Polly kom til syne af Charlotte eller mig, ville hun igen løbe for møblernes sikkerhed. Men så pludselig en magisk eftermiddag lod Polly mig kæledyr hende. Jeg blev straks forelsket i den bløde hvide pels, de smukke grønne øjne og ja, selv de ekstra små tæer. Mit hjerte smeltede og min sjæl sukkede som Polly, lad mig forherlige i den bløde lille krops blødhed. Jeg spildte tid. Jeg er ikke sikker på, hvor længe jeg sad der i Polly’s firma. Jeg ved, at de øjeblikke, der blev brugt sammen med hende, var nogle af de mest fredelige og rolige øjeblikke jeg har haft i lang tid. Jeg har måske vedtaget Polly som ledsager for Pip, men som tiden går, kan jeg bare finde ud af, at Polly vil være en salve for mig. Det viser, at du aldrig ved, hvor ideer vil tage dig … og at få et kæledyr til dit kæledyrs kæledyr, kan bare være den revolutionerende idé om vores tider.

Name The Pet ⭐️ Imorrn kommer nya vackra "U&Me" 🎶 Haft glädjen att följa Hanna Brandén sedan dag 1. Och imponerats av henne både som artist och producent. Hanna bara bestämde sig för att klara allt musikmakande på egen hand, utan att behöva kompromissa med folk som inte riktigt förstod. Det var rätt väg! "U&Me" som gjorts med britten Josh Caffe vid mikrofonen ("magisk röst" enligt Hanna) är bara en liten del av allt Hanna gör i vår på egen hand samt med och åt andra.
