Yesterday was my little sister's birthday so as a special treat my mum paid for the 3 of us to have a Harry Potter themed tea party at Cupcakes 2 Love in Doncaster. Unfortunately we were all very disappointed with it, especially considering how much my mum paid for it. My sister said it was "piss poor" and that we all (6 of us) could have gone to the Chinese for a nicer meal for the same amount, or to somewhere else and had a better quality afternoon tea. It needed to have less shop bought tat sweets and more proper afternoon tea party things. So while it was a nice idea, and we did leave with the left overs and a bottle of fake butter beer each, there was only one cupcake each and my sister's vegetarian plate of sandwiches (with lumps of cheese and pickled onions and a mini babybell) took nearly half an hour to arrive when we only had an hour time slot to have our tea party in. My mum had been thinking about having one of the Disney or other themed tea parties that they do there for her birthday but we know now not to bother.
