Magic concept: power in lost potential
What if we drew power to do impossible feats through erasing parallel timelines that have diverged from our own stream of lives? The significance of the difference in these alternate sides would dictate how much power you consume. Considering taking an extra long step a single time would be nearly insignificant, and as such so would the power obtained be. However, abandoning a future of all your hearts desires would be enough to power someone’s magic for the rest of their life. Most people would have 1 or 2 moments that they don’t realize is *the* moment, but once it’s over they’d sense the immense power of what could have been.

One of those anime-style spells of fuck your shit up where the verbal component is a long monologue that name-drops a specific demon, except it goes into a weirdly personal level of detail regarding the relationship between the invoker and the demon.

Aika is back with a fully fleshed out piece of art
I'm really proud of this drawing. I'm considering making it the title page of my comic.

Some Magic Cat Academy 3 production stuff. Juliana did almost all the rough animations for the game, with the exception of some of Marshmallow's, which were done by Nate Sandhart. The color, bgs, and bottom sketches are by me.
We had about 3 months to do all the art for this, which is tight considering we were all working on multiple projects. My fav thing about this series is working with Juliana, and how our house fills up with joke sketches.

people talk about being queer like it’s something you can turn off for safety. i can tell you now that even if my hair was undyed, i wore my best wifebeater and cargo shorts, and i took out my piercings, if i walked into a room of republicans they would still smell the queer on me. it does not go away with effort, nor should you encourage people to hide it under the guise of it being for ‘their benefit’.

Untitled magic concept:
What if instead of having a mana pool, all magic draws from what already exists in the environment?
Sorcery is perfectly normal. Roughly 38% of all lifeforms are sorcerers, and it seems to be genetic, meaning there will likely only be more as the future progresses.
All sorcerers have the ability of simple telekinesis. “Make that thing over there move with your mind” is the baseline for sorcery. The more skilled a caster, however, and this telekinesis gets more precise. Going from “pull that book over here” to “flip the page” is a surprisingly steep skill curve.
What’s more is to learn to pull one specific thing in the area you’re controlling. When a basic sorcerer pulls an object to them, they will very often pick up the air around the object too, by accident. But a sorcerer of prowess takes control of what they want to, only.
One thing that sorcerers are most useful for, that non-sorcerers are unable to control, without massive machines or irresponsible tools is energy. Kinetic, thermal, mechanical, nuclear, and all others. The ability to control the energy in their surroundings is immense, but rarely mastered and utilized.
A master sorcerer could pull the heat from his body and, perhaps sulfur, from the to summon a gout of flame not unlike the products of a flamethrower. They could even take the electricity running in a persons brain to make them forget something, or even just to pull it all out and kill the person.
Legendary casters of immense talents and hard work, have been able to take control of their world in ways nobody could imagine. One of them learnt to manipulate the gravitational energy of the planet for their own will, letting them create and dismiss black holes the same amount of effort a person might use to close a door. One was able to use their powers from five miles away just as efficiently as five meters away.
