Ears shot upwards as he turned to face Aelith. What was once momentary shock turned into a look of feigningly bashful glee. Blood soaked through his tunic, wettened his flesh, painted his teeth. An array of now bloodless corpses lie strewn about, some half eaten, some simply drained.

It was clear he'd overindulged. If one could not tell from the sheer amount of bodies, he displayed it in the dazed and sloppy way he carried himself. He stumbled, grabbing the edge of a building to slowly ease himself to the ground. His words bordered on the edge of slurring,

She hears Hound snort beneath his helmet, giving him a bright grin.

Hound shakes his head, wearing a huge grin beneath his bucket as he looks at the redhead.

“Not sure i know what you mean. General Windu is a man of a serious nature.”

Fives imagined Mace Windu's face twisting and couldn't help laughing. It would be really interesting to see. A stoic Jedi can't help but react calmly to this.

"I'd give anything to see this! And it would be cool to have a naked photo of it to prove it!! I guess even Skywalker didn't piss him off that much."

Maybe he should catch something like that from animals for Aelith next time. Rex wouldn't approve, but Skywalker would.

"Let me guess vod, you're thinking about asking Skywalker to catch one of those things, right? It's written all over your face"

Dear Diary...

You ever meet someone and wonder “How in Oblivion does someone like you exist when Everything is Bad”?

Because I swear to the Divines, I have no idea what I did to stumble upon Aelith in the first place. Is it consolation for literally Every Time I Saved The World meaning Absolutely Nothing In The End? Is it some kind of karma for those I’ve helped or saved in some way?

I just. It’s difficult to get it out in front of her, but she’s made it so easy for me to be in this situation... Like. I’ve lost pretty much everyone I’ve ever known, and here comes this Breton that seems to be one of the few people left on Nirn that actually knows at least some of the shit I’ve done to help save this world. And on TOP of all that, she’s managed to reconnect me with like, the one group of people that would still be alive after the 800 ought years I’ve apparently been missing for in their time.

And... comfort from familiarity aside, she’s just...

How does someone stay that upbeat, apparently ALL the time? Like... I know I’m usually like that, and me feeling this way is normal for being Literally Pulled Out Of Time, but like... it’s infectious. Whenever she smiles, I can’t help but smile too. When she laughs, it warms what would be my soul, if I still had one. And that’s nothing to say of her power... I’d probably be vampire chow if not for her, and Divines know that she’s managed to save my tail at least a few times now...

Yet, she apparently is the full package, because I swear to Mara and Dibella both, she has to be one of the most beautiful people I have ever laid eyes upon, scars and all. Just, thinking of her causes me to blush like I’m a child back in Riften, seeing Brunhild kick Ymir where it hurts for calling me “Flathead”. I just... what’s there to say? Her hair gleaming in the sun reminds me if a soft hearth? That I could stare into her eyes for hours without pause if she’d allow it? That someone could show me a painting of Dibella herself in the buff, and I’d see little else but Aelith?

Sorry, that last one was a bit, questionable at best. Please do not smite me for that, I beg.

The point stands, that if I’m to be trapped in this time so far from my own, I’m happy at least, that the Divines sent her to me as a companion.

He leaned back on his chair, served himself a bit more pie and munched it in silence for a while thinking of all the different ways he and the family could go on about a contract like that. He could send Havard amd Xyra, play servants, get the bastards in their sleep. He could set up and ambush with Taxus and Minerva, slaughter them on the road and leave it to look like forsworn work, Babette could go hide in Markarth for a while, stalk the allyways.... the possibilities were numerous.

He felt a little hand on his arm as Astrid reached out to try and put her little paws in the pie.

"Sneaky, are we? Look at that, Lith. Not even 4 and she's already trying to rob me!"

He still gave her some pie, and laughed at Aelith's remark about Nazir.

"It's funny, you know? He already kinda did that for Astrid, but I think it's the title that gets to him. Nazir is a practical man, and you know Cicero and me, we're... old school. The Keeper, the Speaker, the Listener... two more and we'll have a whole Black Hand. That was my original goal, but sometimes I think maybe I should let things be... It didn't do the Cydorill siblings any good, in the end. What do you think? I'd appreciate another 2 septims."

She settles the small girl on her hip, bopping her nose with a grin as she watches the assassin, rolling her eyes to make his daughter grin.

She was pretty sure her cheeks had begun to match the red of his scales as they’d both gone quiet, unable to meet the others gaze even as she couldn’t help but grin at the thought she’d beaten him, vaguely startled by his words as she sat straddling his hips to pin him in place, leaned forward to grip his hands to make sure he couldn’t restart the poke war.

“I... I uh, yeah hadn’t thought about that, what do you think is a suitable prize hmmm?”

He couldn’t help but give a breathless chuckle. While he wasn’t one to make assumptions, he could see that she was nearly as red as he was, and averting her gaze to a similar extent. And, while he would’ve expected a playful joke in response, she seemed to be stumbling over her words as well...

Unfortunately for his brain cells, the first thing to enter his mind was how pretty Aelith was...

“I uh... well...” he shuts his eyes, face reddening. “...Mmmaybe I could make you dinner...?”

His voice slowly lilts to an octave higher than usual, to the point of a slight, flustered squeak. His eyes are still clamped shut.

When a hand settles over his, Armitage couldn’t help giving the stranger an odd look-- paired with the faint narrow of his eyes. He’d only recently come completely to terms that he wasn’t having some odd dream-- nor in anyway was he dead. The wound on his head was a lot better and the bones in his arm that had broken from the inital impact after having been thrown was certainly mending. Perhaps slower than it had back in the Order, but it was healing.

A brow quirked slowly, and he resisted the urge to roll his eyes, “I don’t need your comfort.”

Fives believed in her words. Aelith could be a dangerous enemy. No one has yet been able to oppose her magic. Even the Jedi. If someone foolishly became her enemy, Fives did not envy the idiot. Therefore, he had no doubt that for his sake she would be ready to fight even with Chancellor Palpatine.

"I'm lucky! I am protected by an amazing and strong woman. I don't envy people who get in your way!"

He enjoyed her touch. He was ready to do anything for this amazing brave woman. One day they will be free from this war and will be able to live together without fear of decommissioning and Kaminoans.

He pressed his forehead against hers.

Who is more experimental? I like to think they’re both about equal in this regard. Aelith is fucking a giant lizard dude, can’t get much more experimental than that lmao

Who takes more risks? Probably Aelith lets be real, Murz is always worried about possibly hurting her too much so she’s gotta take things into her own hands.

Do they fuck or make love? Most of the time it’s making love, but Murz can have a habit of losing control a little bit, but this gets better after his lycanthropy is cured.

When Fives saw her covered in blood, he was frightened. Aelith was in their world not so long ago and could not get used to it and underestimate the real danger. Therefore, he tried to be by her side during her first mission with the 501st. He would not have forgiven himself if something had happened to her. But he was distracted briefly to help Rex and when he returned to Aelith, she was covered in blood.

"I guess I should panic anyway. Droids don't have blood when I last checked. But I'm glad you're okay."
