Magdalene is an overworked scientist sleeping off a bad day in her car's backseat. Dorian's the moneyless girl who's just found a cheap way to go on an European trip. It may include borrowing a car with the keys on and an unconscious passenger.

One of the most exciting pop acts tries more successful attempt at “Warm Blood” and uses her lower range to be a little more viscous than usual in her delivery.

7. Peroxide - Ecco2k

The pulsating and dreamy beat throughout this song paired with Ecco’s euphoric voice makes for one of the most beautifully made songs of the year.

6. Deal Wiv It - Mura Masa & slowthai

Post-punk revivalism hasn't ever been this promising after hearing this punchy and upbeat track.

5. Happiness is a butterfly - Lana Del Rey

Lana has seemingly found her method to happiness and also the perfect song on this track.

4. Mary Magdalene - FKA Twigs

Twigs' sophmore album was filled with some of the best songs of the year but i could only pick one. “Mary Magdalene” was my favourite as it's theatricality was something that stood out to me.

3. So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings - Caroline Polachek

The funnest track of “Pang” features a grooving bassline and vocals which are utter bliss.

2. Lifeline - A. G. Cook

This track is pure bliss from front to back. Cook's bare vocals are so beautifully mixed and his heart broken, emo delivery and melodramatic lyrics make for one of the best songs of the year

1. Gone - Charli XCX & Christine and the Queens

Total pop euphoria throughout its perfect runtime. The last minute always makes me smile and the main body of the song hits hard and is huge in scope.
